“Look! It’s done! I just finished it!” Beaming with pride in his handiwork, Derek gestured to the whimsical white garden folly that he had just finished painting. “What do you think?”
Lowering her hands from her mouth, Lily uncovered her radiant smile. Her answer was a little strained, though, from the lump in her throat. “It’s perfect! You’re perfect, Derek!” she called. “It’s beautiful!”
He grinned and beckoned to her. “Come have a closer look!”
“I’ll be right there!” She pulled the window closed against the coolness of the parti-colored autumn day, then hurried out of the room, crossing the upstairs hallway. She lifted the hem of her skirts as she went rushing down the stairs to join him, her face beaming.

In Her Every Pleasure, we delve into the heart of Gabriel Knight—a battle-weary warrior seeking redemption. What he finds instead is an exotic beauty asleep in his stable one morning, who pulls a knife on him when he startles her awake! As a hardened soldier who’s had men flee from him in terror on the battlefield, Gabriel finds the threat from the “mere slip of a girl” rather amusing. Mostly, he believes she is there courtesy of his brother Derek, who threatened to hire a “gorgeous wench with no morals” to take care of him—and to put an end to his sexual fast. He thinks that’s why this beautiful firebrand has invaded his lonely rural hideaway.
But is he ever wrong!
His “gorgeous wench” is in fact a rebel princess on the run; a driven, dynamic young royal who has grown up in England ever since Napoleon conquered her family’s kingdom. With her father and two elder brothers mysteriously murdered, Princess Sophia is now the royal heir, and she is determined to claim her rightful throne and bring peace to her war-torn land.
Attacked en route to a secret meeting with the British Foreign Office, Sophia is separated from her bodyguards, escapes in the fray, and hides in Gabriel’s nearby stable, disguising herself as a commoner to elude the villains. According to her security protocol, she must stay put until her men find her again.
Princess Sophia is as amused by sexy Gabriel’s mistaking her for a lowly peasant girl as he is by her quick ability with a knife—so she decides to play along. After all, the mysterious, blue-eyed warrior makes it clear that he has no intention of giving in to this delicious temptation that his brother has supposedly sent his way.

Merry mayhem ensues as Gabriel discovers his new “servant girl” doesn’t have the slightest inkling of how to cook, clean, or wash clothes and really hates taking orders. She’s much better at giving them, and as a seasoned military officer, so is he. And yet their sizzling attraction is undeniable.
As you can probably tell, I can’t wait to write this book! It’s shaping up to be one of my grandest adventures yet, moving from the majestic castles of Regency England to the sapphire waters of the Mediterranean. I hope you’ll be as swept away as I am by this passionate tale of a rebel princess and the powerful warrior destined to become her champion.
Of course, it makes me a little sad that Her Every Pleasure will be my last Knight family book, but there are many more stories to write and wonderful new characters to discover.
