Cole: Rebels Advocate (Book 1) Page 18

by Sheridan Anne

  “You seem disappointed?” he questions.

“Well…,” I start as I look up at him and run my finger right down his back and over his tight ass. I put on my best seductive voice and let him have it. “I’m not finished with you yet. I was hoping it might last all night,” I tell him as I bite my bottom lip. “There’s still so much I want to do with you.”

“Fuck,” he groans before he allows me to roll him. I feel him harden inside me and as I sit up, I look down at his magnificent body. Just the sight of him gets me all hot and needy all over again and I decide, just for being him, I’m going to treat him all night.

We lay in bed with the sheets and blanket scattered across the big room. The photo frame on the side wall has fallen to the ground while the tie I used to hold him to the bed remains wrapped around the headboard.

“You should have moved in here ages ago,” he tells me as I finish liking the sticky ice cream off the tip of my finger.

“I know,” I grin, feeling like a fucking sex goddess. I mean, fuck yeah. That was good. “I’m all sticky,” I tell him.

He smiles as he gets off his side of the bed and lifts me into his arms, bridal style. He walks into the bathroom and leans into the shower to turn the tap. I think he’s about to back out again to let the water warm, but the dickhead throws me straight into the cold water.

I scream out as I try to dodge the freezing stream of water, but he cages me with his body, allowing no freedom until the water begins to heat. “You dick,” I curse. “I’m going to get you back for that,” I tell him.

“I can’t fucking wait,” he grins down at me.

I can’t help but grin back. This man has completely opened me up to a world that I thought was impossible for me. He broke down my walls and weaseled his way in like a fucking bulldozer. He treated me like a queen, gave me the time to come to terms with my changing heart, and taught me what it was to truly fall in love. And for that, I will always be thankful.

Cole is my rock and I can’t picture my life without him and what’s more, I never want to.

I wrap my arms around him and look up at the man who has completely rocked my world. “I love you so much,” I tell him.

He runs his hand down my naked back as he looks at me with absolute love. “I love you too,” he says. “You’re my queen and I’m going to prove that to you every fucking day.”

“I prefer to be your goddess rather than your queen,” I smile.

He shakes his head and can’t help but laugh. “I think ‘demoness’ is more appropriate.”

“You’re such as ass,” I tell him.

“Indeed I am, but I’m an ass that you love.”

  Epilogue

  Cole

Holy shit. What has Rylee gotten me into?

I stand front and center of one of the busiest stadiums I’ve ever seen, with every asshole and their dog here to watch me fight.

Fucking Rylee. I knew the second I said that I missed fighting she’d do something like this. I just hadn’t expected it to be so fucking big. I mean, this shit is being televised. A one-off fight between me and my arch nemesis, Carrick ‘The Monster’ Sullivan. The guy I beat during my last professional fight. I won my tenth title against him and the fucker jumped at the chance to get another shot at me.

In all my years of professional fighting, I’ve never been nervous, but now after being out of the game for a few years and jumping straight back into it… I’m about to shit my pants. Not because of the guy I’m against, but because Rylee is standing right there with a massive smile on her face and absolute faith that I’ll take this guy down. I mean, I don’t doubt I’ll win, I always win, but there’s always a slight possibility that I could lose and the fact that I could possibly let her down tears at me.

Xander stands at the side of the ring, getting a kick out of being my unofficial trainer. He’s enjoyed kicking my ass over the last few weeks and watching me suffer as I had to cut weight.

I tell you what, it fucking sucked.

I stand in the ring, grinning as I put on the Cole show for the audience. After all, they came to see their hero and I’m not going to disappoint.

Carrick ‘The Monster’ Sullivan is welcomed to the ring and with him comes a chorus of cheers and boos. He enters the ring after getting a pat down and stands to face me. My eyes rake up and down and it’s clear the guy has kept in shape over the past few years, but then, so have I.

I glance over at Rylee who sits between Cami and Charli with the rest of my boys around them and my family right behind them. ‘I love you,’ Rylee mouths. I grin at her and send her a wink. I’d say it back but I wouldn’t want to be perceived as pussy whipped right now, even though we all know it.

The fight gets underway and I’m pleased to find since the last fight, he hasn’t improved much. If anything, he’s lost a bit of his edge, but that’s expected after being out of the game for so long. I’m sure I’m not quite as lethal as I once was, but don’t let that fool you, I could still take a fucker down in seconds.

We circle each other, waiting to see who will go on the offense first and not wanting to disappoint, I go ahead and jump straight into it. I get him with a beautiful combination that has him pushed right back into the ropes. He recovers quickly and goes on the defense.

I hear Rylee’s voice over the roar of the audience, cheering me on and I love her for it. The first round continues on and for what ‘The Monster’ lacks in speed, he makes up for in footwork, but so do I.

A sheer layer of sweat coats my body, but I don’t let that deter me from the man before me. He swings across my chest and I just narrowly miss him.

The fight goes on and the first round is called as the clock ticks over the five minute mark.

“Dude,” Xander says as I take my seat on my side of the ring. Caden jumps the ropes and starts checking me over for any injuries, but I’m fine. I didn’t let the guy get that close. “You’re pussyfooting around in there,” Xander continues. “Get in there and show these people that you still deserve that title.”

“I’m going to kick your ass in training for that,” I warn him.

“Look forward to it, boss,” he grins before giving me a salute and backing away.

The bell rings for round two and I consider what Xander has just said. I don’t believe I’m pussyfooting around, but he’s right that I need to prove myself again, so, that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

I force myself forward and get right up close and personal. I pull out all my old tricks and revel in the feeling of being able to use my full strength again. I mean, I put one hundred percent into my training sessions with Xander, but I’d never hit him like this. What I’m doing to this guy is borderline brutal and I absolutely love it.

I’m reunited with the feeling of my fist laying into another man’s flesh and it’s absolutely thrilling, though not on a psychopath level, just on an I love fighting level.

Round two finishes with ‘The Monster’ landing a nasty blow to my ribs which I follow up with a combination that has him backed into the ropes. The bell sounds signalling the end of the round, leaving me pumped for more.

My final round is the killer. It’s fast-paced and one of the hardest rounds I’ve ever fought through. ‘The Monster’ is determined to prove himself, but I’m determined to remain on top.

He pushes up into me and strikes me with a nasty kick. He lands the blow to the back of my ribs and I have no doubt it’s going to bruise, though, I have Rylee to make it all better. I’m not as easily forgiving man, so with roughly one minute left on the clock, I give it my all.

I push forward and swing my fist. I hit him in the jaw and his face twists to the side, I follow it up with a quick combination to his stomach, and just for good measure, I finish him off by flinging myself around with a kick that lands to the back of his ribs.

He flies back into the ropes and I fly forward with him, before nailing him with a punch that has his lights turning out. ‘The Monster’ drops to the floo
r like a sack of shit.

The referee comes barrelling into me before grabbing my wrist and raising it to the sky, declaring me the winner.

I look down at Rylee to see her on her feet, jumping up and down with her hands around her mouth, screaming out, though what she’s saying is completely drowned out by the crowd.

Xander and the boys are basically jumping on top of each other in their excitement and the view has me grinning like a damn fool. Fuck, I love these boys.

A commotion at the ring before me has me looking down and I see Rylee attempting to dive through the ropes with two security guards trying to pull her out. She kicks one in the face before the other grabs her by the loop of her belt and gives a nasty pull. “Hey,” I demand as I grab her arms. “Let her go.”

The security guard instantly let's go and I give Rylee a tug up to me. The second she finds her footing, she throws her arms around me while jumping up and down in her excitement. “Oh my god, Cole,” she cries. “You did it. I’m so fucking proud of you.”

My lips come crashing down on hers. “You made it happen,” I tell her.

“Bullshit,” she laughs. “All I did was set it up. This was all you.” I grin at her before a flash of unease crosses her beautiful features. “What is it, babe?” I question over the roar of the crowd.

“I, um… wanted to ask you something,” she says.

I look at her like she’s grown another head. What could she possibly want to ask me right now that can’t wait a few minutes for us to get out of the ring? “What’s up, babe?” I ask with narrowed eyes. Maybe something’s wrong.

She swallows before taking my hand in hers and holding onto it with everything she’s got. “I love you, Cole. You’ve completely stolen my heart and taken me for the wildest ride of my life. A ride that I never want to get off. You’re my everything and I never thought finding someone like you was ever going to happen to me. I want to marry you, Cole. I want you to be my forever.”

“Oh, fuck no,” I say, cutting her off. Her eyes widen as the fear of rejection slams into her, but I’m not letting my little demoness beat me to the punch line. I’ve been dreaming about proposing to this woman and not even she is going to take that away from me.

I reach into the back of my pants where there’s a hidden compartment and I pull out the ring that I’ve been holding onto for the past few months. “I was going to do this later tonight after the boys had left and the party was over. Just you and me, but as usual, you’re changing my plans.”

With both her hands still in mine, I drop down to one knee with the encouragement of the crowd and my boys going absolutely nuts. I desperately want to look across to see the look on Mom and Imogen’s faces, but I’m completely consumed by Rylee.

“Rylee, you are the absolute love of my life. You’re the most incredible yet infuriating woman I’ve ever met and I wouldn’t dare trade that in for anything. I want to wake up every day knowing you’re right beside me. I want to hold you before I fall asleep. I want to watch your stomach grow with my children.” I pause as I reach up and wipe a tear off her beautiful face before reaching for the ring. I hold it out to her which only makes the tears fall faster. “Will you do me the incredible honor of becoming my wife?”

She nods her head before crashing into me. “Yes,” she cries before the shocked giggling takes over. We tumble down to the ground and I cage my arms around her as the ring goes flying behind me. Neither one of us goes to find it as we’re far too busy locked in each other’s arms. Though, I kind of hope someone goes after it as that bastard cost me a fucking bomb.

Rylee and I finally get to our feet when the referee comes up to me and holds the ring out. I take it from him before sliding it onto Rylee’s finger and kissing her once again.

The crowd is still going nuts and I suddenly have everyone I know squished into the ring with us celebrating our engagement and the best night of my life. “I fucking love you so much, Rylee,” I say into her ear as my mother desperately attempts to steal her away.

She grins back at me and looks at me as though I hold her whole world in my very hands. “I love you too,” she yells at the top of her lungs right before the crowd claims her.

  Sneak Peek

Caden – Rebels Advocate (Book 2)

  Chapter 1

  Caden

Shit. He’s going to kill me.

I’ve been sleeping with my best friend’s little sister, and what’s worse? I have no intention of stopping. There’s no doubt about it. He’s going to castrate me and feed my fucking balls to the wolves.

I deserve it though. I’ve been going behind his back with her for nearly a year, and to be honest, I have no idea how the fuck I’ve gotten away with it for so damn long. Though, I know some of that has to do with his new girlfriend. He’s been distracted and I’ve taken full advantage of it, like a fucking dog.

I have to tell him, but the second I do, it’ll be over and I'm not prepared to call it quits with her just yet. I mean, the sex is fucking amazing.

I step through Cole’s door to find the place buzzing with activity. I search him out instantly and pull him in for a quick hug. I clap my hand on his back twice before backing away. “Happy birthday, man,” I say before plucking two beers out of the cooler and handing him a new one.

“Thanks,” he grins. “What’s going on?”

Cole’s girlfriend, Rylee barges in between us with a grin that stretches from ear to ear, cutting off my response. “Hey, Caden,” she says as she plucks the unopened beer right out of Cole’s hand and takes a drink. “How are you?”

“Not too bad,” I laugh as movement in the background catches my eye. I look up to see Imogen crossing through the kitchen with her eyes already on mine and a dangerous, knowing smirk to go with it.

Shit. I’m going to end up screwing his little sister, in his house, on his birthday. Fuck, someone needs to shoot me.

My eyes follow her as she walks out the back and before I even know what’s going on, I’m telling Cole that I’ll catch up with him in a bit.

I make my way outside and find Jace, Rylee, and Xander lounging on the outdoor setting with Imogen sitting cross-legged on the table. I make myself comfortable between Rylee and Xander, and finally, crack open my beer.

“Hey, man,” Jace, one of my best friends and co-owners of Rebels Advocate, says with a nod of his head. I glance over at him but his eyes are firmly cast across the yard, not interested in the conversation happening around him.

I follow his gaze and shake my head when I find him staring at Cami, the woman he desperately wants but knows he shouldn’t have.

“What’s going on?” I ask Rylee and Xander, knowing I’ll have more luck with these guys.

“Not much,” Xander says with a grin. “Were just watching Cami attempting to teach Charli how to cartwheel. It’s fucking hilarious,” he says. “Charli was too chicken shit to throw herself completely over, so Cami grabbed her legs and made her do it. Charli ate dirt and Cami got a foot to the head.”

“No shit,” I laugh as a grin rips across my face. I flick my eyes towards the girls and pay a little more attention. Cami’s arms are out and she’s waving them over her head in a big arch and it makes complete sense. She’s trying to mimic the way Charli’s legs should be going around and it’s damn clear she’s had a few too many drinks.

I sit on the edge on my seat, grinning like an idiot as Charli lines herself up to give it another go. She exaggerates as she points her toe before throwing her hands down to the ground. Her first leg goes up, but the second never follows, yet somehow, they both end up tumbling to the ground in a fit of laughter.

“It’s like watching a fucking child,” Xander chuckles to himself. I look across to him and see nothing but adoration as he watches his fiancée completely embarrass herself.

Xander is one of Rebel’s Advocates top fighters, actually, that’s a bit of an understatement. He’s currently the fucking MMA heavyweight champion and that has a lot to do with Cole’s
training.

Me and my three best friends opened Rebels Advocate a few years ago and that decision completely changed our lives. Cole was a title holder himself and wanted to give back to the sport that made him the man he is today. Luke and Jace were childhood best friends who enlisted in the army and nearly got themselves blown up in a roadside bomb. They both needed something to distract them while they finished healing and Rebels Advocate was perfect for that.

Me, I’ve wanted my own gym since I was a kid and when Cole came to me with the proposal, I couldn’t say no. With the size of the gym we were planning on building, we knew we needed partners which initially was how Luke and Jace got brought in.

Rebels Advocate was built with the intention of being the best MMA training facility in the area and we have certainly achieved that. I’ve never been so proud of anything in my life, it’s an amazing feeling knowing what we’ve created.

One of our purposes was to create an environment where people could come to feel safe and learn how to express themselves through the use of their own body. I like to think of it as a safe haven for so many of our fighters. We don’t only take on professional athletes, but always have our doors open to the kids in the community who need somewhere to go to keep themselves out of trouble.

As I said, it’s a fucking safe haven.

I relax back into my seat and kick my feet up while I down my beer. There’s nothing better than spending my Sunday afternoon surrounded by the people I consider my family, and not to mention there’s also a certain thrill about watching Imogen eye fucking me while the guys around us are completely oblivious.

Jace finally manages to pull his eyes away from Cami and joins in on the conversation we’ve been having about Xander’s upcoming fight. It’s going to be massive. It’ll be his third fight of the season and I can’t fucking wait. Xander came storming into the world of professional fighting like a raging bull. He made massive headlines, and nearly two years later, the world still can’t get enough of him.
