  Acknowledgments

Borgo val di Taro is a real town in Italy where we spend our summers. It’s a lovely place full of lovely people. Thanks first and foremost to my Italian bestie, Lori Russo, who encouraged me to write about her adopted hometown. Thanks to Elisa & Diego Rossi (the real Sindaco who gave me a delighted “yes” when I asked if it would be okay to use Borgo as the setting for the series). Thanks to our many friends in Borgotaro who are too many to mention, but you know you who are.

This book was written in between my Mlitt assignments for my Master’s in Crime Fiction. I wouldn’t have made it through that program without my classmates, especially my writing buddy, Alana.

Thanks also to my writing mastermind pals, especially Lori Ryan and Julie Strauss who sprint with me twice a week and keep me on track (as well as listen to all my moaning and stress).

  To the Beta Babes…

Proofreaders: Lorinda Cartwright, Ruth Nagele, Stephanie Smith & Mary Fouraker

A big, giant, huge thank you to my editor Kathryn Schieber who gets me, puts up with me, and doesn’t get mad if I ignore her commas. All errors are most definitely my own.

To Mariah Sinclair - cover designer extraordinaire.

As always - the other two of the Three Musketeers, Mark and Emily. XX
