Candy Kiss Page 6

by Cameron Riley

Draven thought the kids were the worst. The same boys would come into the store around midday and browse around in their hoodies. Usually, Draven wouldn’t have cared, but he was responsible for his uncle’s business and he wasn’t prepared to let anyone mess with it. Even children. His cold stare was enough to warn them away, but the next day and the day after that, they returned with more friends. He heard them looking over at him and whispering, cool.

Draven also wasn’t used to being on his feet for seven hours and listening to the radio, which almost bored him to death. After experiencing the prison routine, he told himself that he couldn’t face being confined to a small space for several hours a day and doing the same thing. Working from nine to five in the candy store felt like when he worked in the laundry during his time in prison.

  Draven was pissed.

But each day after work, he didn’t want to face the truth of why he was pissed. It wasn’t the customers, or the hours, or being stuck in the same place all day. The thing that got to him was that he and Elliot hadn't spoken to each other since their drive to get the door. Elliot had spoken to him, but it was just formal talk, to help Draven with unload the stock or just to tell him how to use the cash register. Things weren’t the same.

At first, Draven tried to behave as if everything were normal but it quickly got to him and he couldn’t take it. He wanted to tell Elliot that he didn’t want a guy who tried to impress him, he was more impressed with Elliot. Draven had been with a lot of guys in the past but none intrigued him more than Elliot did.

He wanted to get to get to know Elliot, he didn’t want a slutty guy. He wanted to take Elliot out on a date. Draven was riding home when he was struck by this realization. That’s what he wanted? He wanted to take him out to a restaurant or buy Elliot a drink and talk.

“Shit,” Draven cursed as he turned the key and walked into the house. He wasn’t even much of a talker. What could he say to a guy like Elliot? He threw his keys on the table and slumped down on the couch. But at least he was getting somewhere. He knew that he wanted something more from Elliot.

His cellphone buzzed and he checked the message. It was Mickey. It read:

  Wats up? U

  Wanna head out to

  A few bars tonight?

Draven inhaled deeply and tilted his head to look up at the ceiling. What he wanted was to see Elliot and take him to do something. But he replied back to Mickey. He texted:

  What's the plan?

The Devil’s Road Inn looked like a biker bar. There were motorcycles outside, jackets hung on the wall with the Devil’s Sons patches. Most importantly, the place was filled with guys who looked like outlaw riders. However, Draven wasn’t impressed. To him, they looked like posers.

  “What is this place?”

“It’s our watering hole, a bar that belongs to the Devil’s Sons,” Truant said.

Draven scanned the room. A few men nodded at him when he looked at them, and surprisingly it just made him feel awkward.

“None of these people are members,” Draven said. “Does Skull know about this place?”

“Does he know about it?” Truant said, sounding amused. “The president was the one who set this up. Isn’t that why he sent you down here so you can work on helping our club grow?”

“I don’t know,” Draven felt confused.

Mickey walked over with a woman in his arm. “I’d like you to meet Draven, the vice president of our club. You might have heard of him.”

“Have I ever,” she said, and then put out her hand. “The name’s Cheryl.”

“Nice to meet you,” Draven said. He noticed how her eyes blazed with lust as they looked into his.

“Let us get you a drink,” Mickey said. “What will you be having, boss?”

Draven couldn’t help cringing at the word boss. “I’ll get a beer, thanks.”

As he sat and listen to them as they each shared stories that he was certain were meant to impress him, Draven felt his yearning for Elliot grow. He didn’t want to be sitting at a bar, he wanted to see Elliot again.

  Chapter 12

  Elliot

Elliot sat in his room. He promised himself that he would scroll through the profiles of hot guys on another dating app, but there he was, curled up on his bed, looking through the pics of guys who he had contacted.

It all felt so empty. He never wanted to be looking for love again, but he needed to do something to lessen the pain that he was feeling after Draven’s rejection. He never understood what he was doing wrong, he thought Draven wanted him to be freaky.

How about we hook up tonight? Maybe I can pick you up in my Lambo?

Elliot rolled his eyes at the message a guy had sent to him and he wondered how many other guys he’d tried to pick up that way. He kept on telling himself that it was supposed to be fun, and that he shouldn’t take it too seriously, but Elliot couldn’t help himself. A lot of guys couldn’t be themselves.

He wondered if that was why Draven had rejected him. He hadn’t been himself, he was doing what he thought Draven wanted him to do. Since learning that the man was the vice president of biker club,

His phone buzzed as an incoming text came through. It was a number he didn’t recognize. It read:

  Hey, do u want to

  Meet tonight

  We have to talk

  Draven.

Elliot stared at the message, shocked. He immediately texted back.

Sure. I’m free. Where do you wanna go?

  The reply was:

Bring the keys to the store

Elliot wasn’t going to be so easily won over. He figured that Draven wanted to meet up because he was horny or bored and that he was the only that was available. Still, he texted back.

I’ll meet you outside Sweet Paradise

  In one hour.

Although Elliot felt that he was being used, he went with it anyway. They did have a few things to discuss. Worked had definitely been a chore since Draven had brushed him off and he was hoping that the least they could do was to put what happened between them in the car that day behind them. But, he also secretly hoped that maybe Draven would kiss him again, and maybe things would work out between them.

When the taxi pulled up to Sweet Paradise, Draven was already outside waiting on his bike. Elliot’s heart pounded, he wasn’t sure if Draven would be angry with him or if things were going to be awkward. The moment he stepped out of the car and Draven approached, he held his breath and walked to him.

“I’m glad you came,” Draven said. “You brought the keys?”

“Got them.” Elliot said. He smiled, “I never imagined that you’d have such a sweet tooth.”

“Very funny,” Draven said, taking the keys. He opened the store and they entered the shop. Elliot’s senses were on high alert and he couldn’t help feeling that what they were doing was wrong, and that Jethro would be disappointed if he found out. But he had no idea what they were about to do, he’d just gone along with it.

“So, what are we doing here?” Elliot asked, feeling foolish that he was asking this now instead of from the get-go.

“Follow me,” Draven said. “And don’t worry, this isn’t a date.”

Elliot’s heart sunk. He wanted to date Draven, he wanted to do more than fool around in cars and in closets, but he knew he needed to be wary. Working with Draven was one thing, but going out with him, being intimate in a public setting was another thing completely. If word got back to his dad that he was dating someone, his dad would do a thorough background check on Draven and it wouldn’t take long for him to learn who Draven was and about his past.

Elliot followed Draven to the second floor of the building and then up a staircase that took them to the loft. He’d only been here once and that had been when a raccoon had ended up on the roof, and he and Jethro had to get it down.

“What are we doing up here?” he asked.

Draven said. “Why not hang out up here?”

  “Are you serious?” E
lliot said. But looking up into the night sky, his breath was taken away. It was a beautiful night. “Wow, it’s wonderful.”

“Yep. It’s peaceful. And it’s beautiful,” Draven said.

At that point, Elliot stopped looking up into the sky and brought his attention down to Draven. They stared at each other for a moment. Draven moved in and kissed him. The warmth that spread through his body made him feel weak and lightheaded. Their lips melted into the kiss and it was as if their mouths were made for each other. In some ways, it wasn’t like the last time, it wasn’t rushed, or ravenous or mind-blowing. But it was passionate, and just like the last time, it was desperate and filled with need.

When they parted, Elliot realized that Draven was holding him by the waist and he also realized that he had been tiptoeing to kiss the taller man. As he fell back on his heels, Draven took his hand and they walked toward the end of the building where they sat down at the edge. They laid back.

“What made you decide to come up here?” Elliot asked.

“I did this with Rick. I did this with him when we were kids. We would spend hours looking up at the stars at night,” Draven said. “It felt like we had so much time back then.”

Elliot stared up into the perfect midnight velvet of the sky. “It’s like you can get lost in it, if you stare long enough.”

“I was scared back then...in the car,” Draven said, turning to Elliot.

“How come?” Elliot asked. He saw the smile on Draven’s face.

“I wasn’t prepared to see your wild side.” Draven chuckled.

Elliot’s insides hummed as he felt the other man’s lips press into his cheeks. His cock stirred and he wanted Draven so badly. It was as if his sex drive had been cranked up ever since that first kiss.

“How about I give you another glimpse of my wild side?” Elliot asked.

  “I’m interested,” Draven said.

Elliot took hold of Draven’s button, opened his jeans, and pulled them down. He saw the other man’s stiffened member. His heart reacted to the way it sprung out in front of his face and he couldn’t help smiling.

He’d always wondered how it would feel to give a blowjob and now he was going to get the chance to have that experience.

“You’ve never done this before,” Draven said. “You okay, babe?”

“Hmm-hmm,” Elliot said. Hearing himself referred to as babe give him a certain thrill that he hadn’t experienced before. He liked it. “Okay, here goes.”

Elliot gripped the thick shaft and applied gentle pressure. Nervously peering up to check if Draven approved of his action, he witnessed the man close his eyes and tilt his head back. Next, Elliot brought his mouth down on the head of the cock, encasing it between his lips.

He grabbed the base of the cock and began sucking eagerly, lifting his head a little, spitting on it, and started stroking it. The he turned his attention to the man’s balls, licking them and sliding his tongue up the underside of Draven’s shaft.

  “Fuck!” Draven growled.

As he sucked, he kept his gaze up at Draven who grunted and began to breathe heavily. Thinking of the porn movies, where guys bobbed their heads up and down, Elliot tried this and got his desired affected. Draven’s hips gyrated.

The adrenaline coursing through Elliot’s body seemed to dictate his actions. It made him want to try deep-throating Draven. He withdrew for a moment, taking a deep breath and swirling his tongue around the head of his cock. And when Draven let out another curse, Elliot’s balls hardened and he felt as if he were about to cum.

“Are you ready to be taken to Sweet Paradise?” Elliot asked with a grin.

“Fuck yes! Take me there baby!” Draven exclaimed.

Elliot sucked with gusto and then pushed his head forward, feeling the tip hit the entrance to his throat and he held still. He felt Draven’s fingers in his hair. The he drew back, and taking hold of the cock, Elliot proceeded to stroke it. He brushed his thumb over the head of Draven’s pulsing cock. This was all it took to have the man release a wail, for him to spasm and spurt all over Elliot’s hand.

When Elliot looked at Draven, he saw his expression was giddy with pleasure. They shared a grin.

“Now it’s your turn,” Draven said, laughing softly.

“Who’s up there?” called a voice from below. A flashlight shone in their direction.

Draven pulled up his pants, grabbed Elliot and rolled backwards and before Elliot could speak, he felt lips brush against his.

“Let’s go before you’re busted,” Draven said.

Elliot couldn’t wake his parents, who didn’t even know that he’d left the house that night. It was 4:00 a.m. and if he woke them, he’d have a lot to answer for. The first question obviously being, where had he been?

After he and Draven left the roof of the Sweet Paradise, they went for a ride. It was such a rush being with Draven. Suddenly, Elliot’s mundane life was injected with excitement.

He crept into the house, closed the door and quietly moved his way up the staircase to his room when the clearing of a throat stopped him in his tracks.

Elliot felt the sensation of ice being poured down his back and he spun in the darkness and faced the living room where his dad’s voice came from. The light filled the room. Mr. Bedford sat at the table and looked directly at Elliot.

  “Have a seat,” he said.

Elliot felt his stomach churn as he walked over to the table and sat opposite his dad. He waited as Mr. Bedford removed a cloth from his pocket and polished his glasses. His dad had the tendency to polish his glasses whenever he was trying to decide on what to do.

“Where have you been?” Mr. Bedford asked as he continued to polish.

At twenty-one, Elliot still had a curfew. It never bothered him because he never had any reason to break it until last night. Elliot swallowed.

“I was out with a friend,” he replied.

“Gina?” The slight turn of Mr. Bedford’s head indicated that he already knew the answer to this question.

  “No.”

Elliot knew his dad’s habits well, and he knew that his dad preferred for him to tell the truth and not have to wheedle it out of him. Elliot also knew that his dad would never have approved of him hanging out with Draven.

  “Then who were you with?”

“I was with an old friend from school,” he said.

Mr. Bedford released a sigh. Whether it was one of resignation or disappointment, Elliot didn’t know.

“You know that it’s important to tell us if you want to come home late. It’s for your own safety that we know where you are. And as long as you’re under this roof, you abide by the rules.”

  “Yes, dad,” Elliot said.

“Now, this is the first time that you have ever done this so I’ll let it slide, but I won’t have you doing it again, son. Rules are rules for a reason and you need to follow them.”

  “Yes. It won’t happen again.”

“I know you think you’re too old, but until you get your own place, this is how things will work.”

  Elliot nodded.

“That’s all, you can go now,” Mr. Bedford said.

As Mr. Bedford stood up, the tension disappeared. Elliot followed his dad out through the living room and up the stairs. He watched the powerful frame of his dad move upwards. His dad was an ex-soldier and now the sheriff of San Joaquin County. He was on the verge of retirement, but even when he retired, he’d always carry himself with a sense of authority and justice. Elliot couldn’t imagine that he’d ever allow him to be with someone like Draven.

“Elliot.” Mr. Bedford said. His tone was serious.

Elliot stiffened. Whenever his dad used his name, it usually meant he was about to make a serious point that would have serious consequences.

“That young man who’s started working at Jethro’s place...I don’t want you hanging around him. Okay?”

Elliot’s throat tightened. Opening his mouth to speak, he felt dehydrated as if the very act of
answering his dad was one that carried adverse physiological effects on his body.

  “Okay,” Elliot said.

  Chapter 13

  Draven

Draven licked up and down Elliot’s shaft, and loved to hear him moan. He even loved the smooth skin of the other man’s cock. He took the full length of the cock to the back of his throat and gently squeezed his balls.

When Elliot came he made a whimpering sound that Draven now learned was a warning that he was about to explode. The first time he’d sucked Elliot’s cock, Draven wasn’t warned as the other man was about the orgasm and he almost gagged as come filled his mouth.

They had been seeing each other for a week, and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Mostly after work Draven took Elliot for long rides out of San Joaquin to a remote area of an empty park and they would lay down holding each other for hours. Sometimes he brought Elliot back Jethro’s house and they would sit and watch a movie together. But Elliot always needed to be back home before11:00 p.m. It surprised Draven to know that he had a curfew, but still, he was happy for the time they spent together.

They visited Jethro together and were happy to see that he was recovering well. If the doctors would have allowed it, Jethro would have left the hospital immediately after the operation. But he needed to stay in the hospital one more week just to make sure everything was okay and for the doctors to see that he was fully recovered.

Draven was on his knees with his head between Elliot’s legs when he heard his whimper.

  “I’m coming,” Elliot moaned.

Draven didn’t withdraw, instead he swallowed the load that gushed into his mouth. He loved feeling Elliot’s fingers in his hair after he came. It was such an intimate gesture that he never shared with Michael, or with any of his lovers. They all expected him to be the rough outlaw, sex was never passionate and loving, it was always wild and carnal.
