They talked some more, and when she got shy about answering his questions, he told her about what was going on in the rest of his life. He was sure the dossier had been complete, but he wasn’t sure about the last few weeks, if she knew about Silvia, or any of the other stuff he mentioned, she didn’t object or try to stop him.
It worked to get her to open up a bit more. As far as he could tell she really didn’t have hobbies, she worked, she met her friends for a meal, and sometimes went to go dance, but that was about it. He started to feel a little protective of her, which he supposed was a start, but Amber clearly needed to stretch her wings a bit and discover her true passions.
If she was human, he’d have said she was impulsive because she felt boxed in most of the time, and unappreciated. She was also down on herself, or at least, he got that impression at times.
That wasn’t the greatest mix to start a love affair, but maybe if he coaxed her out, she could blossom. It also made him a bit angry, because he just had to wonder what had made her this way. He could imagine part of it, she’d been used as a sex toy without even the modicum of respect that a sex worker A.I. android would receive, but he thought there might even be more to it.
He couldn’t ask her of course, since he could well imagine how disastrous that conversation would be. He hoped that maybe Mia could help with that, since that type of thing seemed to be her job.
It boggled his mind that she didn’t hate humans at all, the A.I.s seemed incapable of that though. Was that really a good thing? Most of the time he would say yes, it was. They were better off without the destructive emotions that made mankind so fucked up. But there were times, he would wish they’d be a little bit more selfish.
Regardless, they cuddled naked after sex for hours and talked while he held her. They also went another round right before he left. He even remembered that time to tell her when he was close to cumming, and she turned on the wet whirlwind of pleasure which made him explode in extreme and blissful ecstasy. He cuddled her close as they came down from that, and stayed as long as he could but knew he was pushing the time.
“I need to go,” he said as he caressed her face, “Nicci and Kara’s wedding.”
She nodded in agreement, “Have fun, I’ll see you soon?”
He kissed her tenderly and answered, “Probably tomorrow.”
When she said goodbye, he logged out…
Chapter Fifteen
He was in the room on the ship on Mars for about thirty seconds before he bounced to the body on the bus. He opened his eyes and looked around. No one else was back here in the seat next to him, but there were a few people just a couple of seats up. The last ten minutes or so of the drive, a young woman kept staring at him, and then shaking her head in denial.
Well, if she recognized him hopefully she’d keep up that denial and not post about it.
When they got out of the bus, he took a cab to the chapel, he was about a half an hour early, so he waited to the side. When he saw them he could hardly believe it. They looked almost exactly the same, except he was seeing Kara for the first time with her hair down, and it wasn’t short at all. Not as long as Helen’s ass length red hair perhaps, but it did reach the middle of her back.
They also weren’t wearing slutty armor, which is what was so surreal about it. They looked like beautiful young innocent women, not the sex crazed beauties he knew them to be.
Kara had a long light blue dress on that was rather flowing and conservative, and only hinted at the curves below that he knew so well. She showed just a bare amount of cleavage, and the bottom of the dress was past her knees, and she wore creamy white high heels. She looked… classy.
Nicci was similarly dressed in a flowing cream colored dress, and black high heels. Her long dark hair was up and coifed, and she had a wide smile on her face that shone in her eyes.
He walked over to them with a smile on his face, and Kara grinned and gave him a hug, and a surprisingly deep and lingering kiss. He turned to Nicci who was practically bursting with happiness, and she gave him a tight hug and kissed him rather passionately too.
Kara cleared her throat teasingly, “Ted, glad you could make it.”
He broke the kiss with Nicci, turned and smiled, “You both look radiant, thanks for the invite.”
Nicci winked, and then waved behind them, “This is Karen, Kara’s mom, and Cindy, my older sister.”
Karen looked like Kara, just older. She was still rather attractive to him, but then he was a forty-year-old man despite his younger appearance, so that wasn’t a surprise. She wore a green sundress, and nice high heeled sandals.
Cindy had Nicci’s raven black hair and green eyes, and her face was somewhat similar, but her body ran more to the norm than her younger more voluptuous sister. She was very much in shape, and her body was perfectly proportioned for her thirty-six C cup breasts. She had on a red, black, and blue summer dress with sandals as well.
He nodded a greeting to both, “Nice to meet you.”
They returned his greeting, and a slightly awkward moment followed. He just hoped they didn’t ask how he knew Nicci and Kara. Of course, considering the kisses he’d been greeted with they just might already know.
They chatted for a few minutes until it was their turn, and they moved into the chapel. The reverend that married them wasn’t all that bad actually, considering he probably said the same thing over and over all day. But the wedding wasn’t really about who officiated, and Kara and Nicci both looked incredibly happy.
It took all of twenty minutes, including pictures. For a guy, he thought that just about perfect. The truth was it was meeting Nicci and Kara in real life that got him out here, guys just weren’t that into weddings. Not enough to spend eighteen or so hours on buses anyway.
After the wedding itself, they went to the hotel the married couple was staying at, and the five of them ate at one of the nicer restaurants, and at the end of the meal they brought out a miniature wedding cake. Which was still way too much for the five of them to eat.
Karen and Cindy were pretty nice to him, and how he knew Kara and Nicci was never mentioned or asked, which made him wonder just how much they knew, since that was a pretty standard question. They were neither standoffish, or overly friendly, which honestly was a relief on both counts.
He knew Nicci and Kara were both anxious to get on with the honeymoon, but he did manage to dance with both of the brides before they showed impatience to get to their love nest.
Kara felt nice in his arms as they moved around the dance floor.
She said with a sincere look, which was rare for her, “Thanks for coming, I was glad you could make it. My wife has somewhat of a crush on you actually,” she looked a little startled at her own words, “Wife, that kind of makes me want to smile. Anyway, I wanted you here too, but it was her idea. You’re a good man Ted. If this wasn’t our wedding night well… you get the idea,” she winked a bit salaciously.
He smiled, “Been looking forward to it. I’m happy for you both.”
With that confusing little speech, he finished the dance, and she kissed his cheek sweetly before he danced with bride number two.
Nicci was definitely the blushing bride of the two, she was radiant, and her eyes were practically glowing as he danced with her.
He said sincerely, “Congratulations, I’m really happy for you two. You both look amazing tonight.”
She brightened a little more, if that was possible, and replied, “Thanks. I’d hoped that you would make it.”
She didn’t say anything further to clarify what Kara had said, but he wasn’t worried about it.
When their dance was finished, she kissed his cheek too, but she also surreptitiously pinched his ass and winked at him.
It all went pretty fast actually, and before he knew it they were both kissing him goodbye and thanking him for coming. He said his goodbyes to Karen and Cindy as well. He made it back to the bus station in time to get the one of the later buses back to Silvia, and used
his bounce program to log out when he was once again, situated in the back seat of a bus.
As for the wedding present, they’d find out when they checked in that their room had been upgraded to a honeymoon suite, and paid for…
He turned his head as he recognized her body against his, and her scent, and he kissed Helen softly, “Sorry I’m so late, ready for our date love?”
Helen smiled, and nuzzled her nose into the skin between his shoulder and neck, “I am.”
He logged in, and found himself in his Earth home. He was going to get whiplash from the changes. He had a feeling Trudy kept resetting his location back to Earth after they logged out.
He looked around, and didn’t see Helen, but he heard her in the kitchen, shrugged, and walked in there and took a seat by the island.
“Can I help?”
She was chopping potatoes, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and had a large but thin cut of steak that she started to cube. Some kind of vegetable beef stir fry he imagined.
She grinned up at him, “You can set the table if you want,” she said a bit shyly.
Sometimes he wished she would just be confident that he wouldn’t change his mind, and realize just how much and completely he truly did love her. Then other times he thought he’d miss the shy sweet Helen if she did. It was one of the things he adored about her actually. He grabbed some plates and silverware, and then got out some candles and dimmed the lights a bit.
He walked over to her and put his hands on her waist as she stirred the vegetables and meat. He kissed the top of her head and lingered there, enjoying her feminine and alluring scent.
“So what have you been up to, anything?”
She nodded, “Took your advice. We realized it may become necessary to protect Earth if the aliens come back. It’s… not in our nature to fight. But we built two of the smaller ships, with the same grade of emitters and power core for the much larger ships. They’ll be able to fight if they have to. We’ve got twenty more in the queue as well. We’ll need them for other things anyway, like transport from here to Earth.”
She said sadly, “We don’t want to expose the big ship with the backups in it to Earth either. Although, a second backup repository is in the works, so it won’t be such a dire risk soon.”
He hugged her from behind, and kissed her head again, “Anything else going on, I just wonder what you do all day sometimes. And you’ve built two ships since yesterday morning? That’s kind of impressive.”
She turned her head and looked up at him with sparkling green eyes, and he leaned down to kiss her softly.
She sighed in pleasure, melted into him, and then said, “Sure, we just needed to fabricate the small hull design, inflate it, and spray it down to harden it. We already have a surplus of gravity and EM devices, so…”
She shrugged helplessly, “When things calm down most of my work will just be online wherever I can do it. Right now though we need all hands on building things, and getting the city up. You know? After that it will just be… security coding and all that kind of stuff. Trudy told you we’d be working together right? The three of us out of our new home?”
He nodded in agreement, “She did, a while ago. I’m looking forward to that.”
She smirked up at him, “I am too love,” she said in a way that her meaning couldn’t be misunderstood, “Mia will be close by too.”
He nodded, and Helen took the pan off the burner, and walked over to the table, and plated the food. Then she went into the fridge and pulled out a chardonnay, and grabbed a couple of glasses.
He took the bottle from her, and pulled the cork, and let it breath a moment before he poured a couple of glasses.
“I love you Helen.”
She smiled brightly, “I love you Ted,” and raised her glass.
Why not? He raised his and clinked them before they both took a sip.
Helen took a bite and swallowed before she said, “Those ships, we’re also going to use them for mining. Might as well take advantage of their offensive capability in an inoffensive way. They’ll be able to rip apart an asteroid, and get it to a separator. I heard you’re the one that put Sally and Christi in charge of that.”
He choked on a bite of food, and then painfully swallowed it, “I what?” he asked cautiously.
She giggled, “You sent them out there apparently, and put them in charge of it.”
He shook his head, “I don’t have any authority to do that, I merely suggested where they could look.”
She nodded slowly, “That’s true, but your suggestions are taken rather seriously. They’re kind of proud of it.”
He sighed and shook his head, “You’re not joking are you?”
She asked, “Does that bother you?”
He frowned in thought, “If they’re happy, and proud, I suppose not. It’s a lot of pressure, but I can handle it, or learn to keep my mouth shut.”
She snickered.
He shrugged, “I just don’t want to send someone off to do something I suggested if they don’t really want to do it, or would rather do something else… you know?”
Helen nodded, “I get it, but your safe. Remember, they were the ones talking about the missing resources themselves, which means that’s what they do.”
He nodded, but would keep his mouth shut when he could for now on, at least as far as the other A.I.s went, not his ladies of course.
He murmured after another bite, “This is really good, thanks honey.”
“Welcome,” she said in a soft voice, “So when exactly will I be an aunt?” she asked impudently.
He got the idea she was very happy about the idea of having a baby to help take care of. This was the second time she’d mentioned it.
“Not sure, I’ll ask her what the plan is when I see her tomorrow morning. I think the bus gets in about five. But it’s more like another mom than aunt.”
She frowned, “You think so?”
He nodded, “Sure, is that weird?”
She widened her eyes, “No. Just surprising I suppose.”
“Why? You’re much more like a wife than a sister.”
She looked startled, “I was thinking more like I would be like a sister to Silvia, not you. You know A.I.s can’t get married.”
He cleared his throat, “On Earth they can’t. Are you all making a law you can’t marry on Mars?”
Her eyes widened, “That hadn’t occurred to me.”
He shrugged, “You should talk to the others about it. You might even get more humans to move here, the ones that love their A.I.s anyway. But you should all decide, not me. While you’re at it you should consider all the laws related to A.I.s that you haven’t yet, this is your planet after all.”
He was confused that they hadn’t already hashed all this out, but maybe it went back to the A.I.s not being selfish, and he wasn’t thinking about the bad flavor of selfish, the healthy kind. It was one restrictive law that made them make the move, and they’d seemingly ignored all the other possibilities. He also had to be careful what he said, or it would be his damned opinions that became law instead of theirs.
She nodded slowly, and he let her think while they finished up their plates…
Chapter Sixteen
After they cleaned the kitchen they made their way back to the bedroom, and he kissed her softly. She filled his heart and he decided to do something spontaneous, fuck the night in.
“Let’s get out of here, hold on,” he said softly and he went into the closet and grabbed a bathing suit, and then changed.
She said lightly, “It’s a night in tonight.”
He nodded in agreement, and looked her up and down, “Bikini?”
She snickered but did what he asked, and she was suddenly wearing a light green bikini. She looked really sexy in it.
He took her hand, “Let’s go. Oh, we’ll need the ship, can you do your magic on the car.”
She smirked and nodded, and he stopped at the hall closet and pulled out a couple of beach towels.
> He dragged her outside while she smiled at him and giggled.
He winked, “We’re totally cheating,” as he helped her into the ship, and then got in himself. The canopy closed, and he brought up the overlay controls and entered the longitude and latitude and the ship took off.
She asked, “Colorado?”
He nodded, “You’ll see.”
The ship was fast, and took them northeast at a very high velocity, and then the ship dropped back down and landed right in the water, and he retracted the canopy and smiled as he looked out at the steaming water, the moonlit mountains, and the starry sky.
She kissed him softly and straddled him in the seat and her kiss grew hot and heated.
When she broke it she whispered, “I love you Ted, this is beautiful, amazing… perfect.”
When she slid off of his lap, he jumped out into the hot springs, and then turned around and helped Helen out, she just jumped into his arms and wrapped her legs around his waist, and her arms around his neck.
“I love you too, I thought you might like this place.”
She loved romantic spots and hot tubs, so why not natural hot springs in the beautiful Colorado mountains with a clear view of the night sky?
He sunk down into the water, and kissed her softly. He walked them over to a carved out stone underwater seat that overlooked a valley and the bright night sky. There was absolutely no light pollution out here, and the only better night sky could be seen from space.
Maybe he should build a hot tub space ship? He held back a snort, was there anything he wouldn’t do for Helen or the others just to see them smile? He didn’t think so.
When he sat, she just stayed wrapped around him and wiggled a bit on his lap, to predictable results. Helen was gorgeous, cute, sexy, and all his.
He ran his hands down her back, and squeezed her ass cheeks as he kissed her with rising passion. His heart was beating fast, and he couldn’t help but react to her enthusiasm as she ground a bit down on him, and kissed him passionately. This spot was much nicer, and more stimulating, than their bedroom had been, she loved making love outdoors under the sky and it showed.
