“But, I can’t sleep with you, I’m still technically married, and we aren’t even dating, how can I live with you?” Trixie stutters out.

I drop her bag on my sectional, turn around, and grab her to me. I notice movement around the place but I pay them no attention. “First, we’re gonna start dating. Second, you’re getting divorced, four months or sooner before it’s finalized. Third, I thought it would be stupid for you to find a place of your own when in a month or two you’d be right in this house anyways. And last, until you trust me, until you want to be under me, as I pound into your pussy, you’ll have your own room.” I bite her ear softly and I feel her body shudder.

Am I cocky and sure of myself? Hell yeah, but I’ve been waiting for this day and I’m not letting Trixie slip away from me. She’s meant to be mine. When I kissed her a year ago, that was me staking my claim on her. I knew she’d be back.

  “I um,” she stutters.

“How bout it then? Should I show you where you’re sleeping for the time being? And then you can get dressed up and I’ll take you out.”

She stares at me in shock, still not quite sure how to take all this in, and I grin.

“Um, yeah. Okay.” Her voice is all breathy and it makes my dick so damn hard, I have the urge to just take her here and now, not caring that her friends are in my house. I have it in mind to tell them to get out so I can have her, but I don’t want to push. I know this is all sudden and a bit shocking to her, but I want her.

“Good, go follow Lilly, she’ll give you a tour and show you your temporary space.” I give her a little shove, so she knows she can move and she does.

This is going easier than I thought.

  Chapter 22

  Trixie

What on earth just happened? I didn’t act like this with Chris, I wasn’t shy. But the second Preston starts talking to me, I resort back to my cheerleading days as a ditzy blonde and can’t speak. Also, I’m going to need to change my underwear because I’m pretty sure I have flood action going on down there.

  “You okay, Trix?” Lilly giggles.

“Um, I think so,” I say, my eyes bugging out. I don’t know what to make of all this. I mean, it’s either super romantic or crazier than hell.

“Preston is a good guy, good cop, and I will just say this … since you left, he’s not even once looked at another woman. He’s been waiting for you to come back.”

Holy shit. “Really?” I breathe out.

“Yes, really. While I don’t think that’s normal, because what guy goes without sex if they aren’t even dating a person, I think it’s hot,” Eden pipes up.

“But I’m still married. If I do this with him, won’t that make me a cheater?” Even if I wanted to get Chris back for what he did with Lacey that just isn’t me. When I am with someone, I am with them.

“No way. You and Chris have been separated for a year, plus you’ve already started the divorce process. Technically, you’re single,” Moira says. “When I divorced my first husband, after a year of separation, it only took a month to finalize a divorce once the papers were pushed through. It just depends on how fast all parties sign the paperwork and how soon you can get in front of a judge.”

“Should I go back to my maiden name when this is all over.”

  “No!” All three girls shout.

“Okay, why though? We won’t be married, be stupid to still carry his last name.”

Eden sighs. “Did you not hear anything when Preston was talking to you? Or did you just zone out when your panties started getting wet?”

Lilly giggles. “It would be a waste of money for you to go to the One Stop and change your cards and stuff back to your maiden name when that man down there plans to make you his wife. Then you’d just have to waste more money to change your name again.”

  “This is going too fast.”

“Real men, Trix, real men like Preston don’t fool around,” Moira states. She smirks. She would know being married to Mason.

I look around the room and it just looks like a basic guest room, white walls with a wood trim. I thought it would have more to it, instead of just a closet, queen bed, two end tables and a dresser. But with what Preston said downstairs, it makes sense that it’s so plain. I just don’t know if I’m ready for a man like him.

  Chapter 23

  Chris

I’m with my lawyer at her office signing the divorce papers. I don’t want to but this is what Trixie thinks she wants right now, so I’m going to give it to her. Then once the dust has settled I’m going to pursue her. Date her, start over one hundred percent perfect. This time around, I know things will work out for us. Starting fresh, with no past in our way, just looking to the future.

“There you go. I will get these faxed over to Sam’s office and we’ll submit them to the courts. I’m pretty sure Judge Simm is in on Tuesday next week, so we can get this over quickly.”

  “Wow, that soon?”

Ms. Green shrugs. “No point in delaying if everything is signed.”

I nod. I guess this works, the quicker it’s done the quicker I can win her back.

I head back to work and see my boss, Joel, in his office. “Hey, come in,” he says when he sees me at his window.

  “Hey man, what’s up?”

“Not much, between trying to hire a new service manager and planning this damn wedding, my brain is fried.” Joel recently got engaged to Della, a woman he was dating on and off for years, but he finally decided to just go for it. Their wedding is in three weeks.

“Any idea why we go through so many service managers? I swear, every week we’re trying to hire a new one.” It’s true, since I started working here nine years ago, we’ve went through service managers like crazy.

“Probably because of the shitty pay. I swear this dealership pays way less than other dealerships in town.” That is true. I’ve thought about leaving and going elsewhere for a while, but I have a good thing here, so I don’t see the point in leaving.

  “So, I signed those papers.”

Joel looks at me in shock. “Why? I thought you were going to try and fight it?”

I smile at him. “Who says I’m not? I’ll grant her the divorce, but it doesn’t mean we can’t start over and eventually get re-married.”

Joel looks like he wants to say something but instead just shakes his head. “Well, good luck, man.”

I head out of his office and go to mine, getting caught up with all the orders and other paperwork then clock out early. Gonna go pick up my kid and spend the day with her.

I take her to her favorite park to watch the ducks and feed them some bits of stale bread. She loves animals. I would get her a pet but I don’t have the extra time to commit to the care of one.

I always imagined Trixie would be doing this with us, but that’s okay. I’m going to get her back and she will be with us and everything will fall into place. I’m going to make her see we can be a family.

  **

Hours later, I decide to take Lita out for supper tonight, so we head to the local McDonalds play place. As I get her out of the carseat I hear the giggle that Trixie used to make when we were together. I look up, trying to find her and there she is. My eyes narrow because she’s not alone--she’s holding hands with Officer Twat! What the fuck? Inks not even dry on the divorce papers and she’s out with him?

The more I watch her with him, the more pissed I get, especially when I see him tug her into him and kiss her. I can’t watch this. “Come on Lita, let's go get some fries.”

I take one last look at Trixie and Officer Twat before I open the door to McDonalds and glare at them both. Preston’s head comes up, as if he knows someone is watching him, and his eyes connect with mine. The smug bastard winks and pulls Trixie in tighter to him.

He won’t be so fucking smug when I win her back.

  **

When I get home and after I tuck Lita into bed, I grab a beer and turn on the TV, picking Wrestling, when my phone rings. “Yeah?”
>
“Hey man, so I have to tell you something,” Allan starts.

  “Okay, go for it.”

“Do you happen to know where Trixie is living now?”

This has me confused, why does he want to know that? “She’s staying with Lilly and Vinny as far as I know.”

“Fuck man, no she’s not. She was only staying there until her real place was ready to live in. She moved in today.”

“Well good for her, I’m glad she’s got a place. Makes it easier for me to talk to her and see her without Lilly and the rest of that group around.”

“No, man, this just made it ten times harder for you.”

“Just spit it the fuck out.” I’m losing patience on this. “What’s going on?”

  “She’s living with Preston Thrane.”

I did not just hear him say that. Moved in. With him! How long have they been together? Has she been cheating on me? This can’t be. Why would she do that. Is that why she rushed me along on signing the papers? Fuck!

“I gotta go.” I hang up my phone and dial Trixie’s number. It takes four rings before it’s finally picked up. And sure enough, Office Twat answers her phone.

  “Where’s Trix!” I shout.

  “She’s in bed.”

“Then wake her the fuck up, I want to talk to her.”

“Yeah, that ain’t gonna happen, man.” The phone goes silent and I realize he hung up on me.

I throw my phone across the room and it shatters on the wall. “Fuck!” I bellow. This can not be happening. Fucking hell.

  Chapter 24

  Trixie

I wasn’t quite sure if I should go on a date tonight with Preston, but he and the girls weren’t letting me back out. It didn’t take long to unpack my bags, considering Eden said it would be stupid to unpack everything when I would just have to haul it all into Preston’s room soon.

This is moving too fast, and I’m not sure I want to complain.

“Ready, beautiful?” Preston asks as he opens my door for me and sticks his hand out . I smile and grab it. He looks so handsome tonight. He’s wearing ripped jeans, skate shoes, and a ratty old tee-shirt, and his shaggy dark hair looks as if he just rolled out of bed. I kind of feel overdressed in my baby blue dress and black leggings.

The drive is short and there isn’t much time for conversation.

“What is this place?” I ask him.

“It’s just a bar all us cops frequent. They have great food, trust me, you won’t be disappointed. They’ll even make something that isn’t on the menu if you want it bad enough.”

“Well, I think I can believe that, I can smell the food already,” I say as we walk towards the building.

“Thrane!” People call out as we walk inside. I feel a bit awkward as Preston greets the room, I’m just standing here, fiddling with my purse strap.

“Everyone, you probably know Trixie, Trixie this is everyone.” I give a small wave and one of the guys clutches at his chest and comes up to me.

“You wouldn’t give me a chance, but you gave this loser one? Gee, how on earth did I miss a shot at the hottest girl in town?” I think his name is Patrick. I met him once when Chris and I started going through our problems last year, and I remember him asking me out. I laughed him off thinking he was joking. He’s cute, in that boy band sort of way, and it’s one of the reasons why I turned him down. He looked way too much like a Justin Bieber wannabe for my liking, and of course at that time I didn’t think my marriage would be over.

I giggle at him and Preston grabs him by the arm, looking pissed. “Stay away from her, she’s mine.”

“Dude, lay off, I was just joking.”

“Don’t joke about that shit either.”

Yikes, Preston is intense. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that about him all the years I’ve known him. We were friends in passing, but that was it. He always seemed a little standoffish, but polite and charming. Now I’m seeing a different side to him. He’s not only charming, but he’s one hundred percent alpha male.

  God, that’s hot.

A beautiful woman, smaller than me, comes up to me and latches onto my hand and smiles. “Well hey there, I’m Molly, Officer Kane’s wife.” She points over her shoulder at her husband who looks amused by our exchange. He’s a good-looking man, with a buzz cut and tattoos on his neck. “And you, are Officer Thrane’s obsession, Trixie.” She gives me a huge smile and hugs me, squeezing me so tight I almost can’t breathe. Her hair smells like chocolate, and makes me want to know where on earth she got it, because I must have chocolate smelling hair products.

“Um … hi?” I finally say when she lets me go. I take in her appearance. She looks like a fairy; Small nose, big eyes, white blonde hair, and she’s shorter than I am.

“You’re prettier than Thrane said you were. That man has good taste.” She gives me a wink when I blush.

“What are you filling my woman’s head with, Mols?” Preston demands, throwing an arm over my shoulder. I like how he said my woman. Swoon.

“Just filling her in on your crazy obsession you’ve had with her over the last six years.” Woah, Preston has liked me that long? I don’t even know what to think of that.

“Shut up,” he grumbles, putting his face into my neck, kissing me softly. “Don’t pay her any mind, she’s a loudmouth.”

I giggle. “It’s okay, Preston, this might sound wrong, but I’ve had a crush on you for years myself. Who wouldn’t, you’re hot.” My whole face heats up. and I bite my lip. I loved Chris, I never cheated on him, and never would have, but I had crushes, and Preston was in my number one spot for years.

“Keep biting that lip, and I’ll be forced to take over,” he whispers in my ear. I shiver as one of his hands rest on my stomach. God, he feels good. He must have read my mind, “Fuck, you feel good in my arms.”

As the night wore on, I found myself having fun with him. We went to a new bar in town, they had great food, drinks, and lots of dancing. Preston didn’t leave my side for a second, and he was so attentive, we talked the night away. We danced, and at one point I swear to God I felt his dick against my stomach. And it was hard.

I hate to admit this, but I’ve never had a real orgasm before. At least not when a dick was inside me. I’ve only ever came during clit action. Not even Chris could achieve an O from me, and I know his manhood probably took a hit because of it. I start to wonder if Preston will be my unicorn. And if not, then maybe I’m just broken.

When we get home, I’m suddenly very nervous. We’re going to be truly alone for the rest of the night, and I don’t know if I’m ready to take that plunge into someone else’s bed yet. Thrane must sense my internal struggle as he reaches over the middle console and grabs my hand, pulling it to his lips. “Don’t worry, Trixie, I won’t do anything you won’t let me do. If that means as soon as we get in the house, you run to your room, so be it. But I hope you’ll let me at least taste your pussy first.”

Hot damn, I don’t even know how to respond to that. I squeeze my legs together tightly as the wetness leaks through my panties.

“Can we just have a goodnight kiss instead?” I chew on my bottom lip.

“The ball is in your court, babe. If that’s all you want tonight, that’s all you’ll get. I’ll just have to jack off in the shower once the kiss is finished.” He kisses my hand. “I’ll leave the bathroom door open in case you change your mind.”

Oh shit, I’ve seen his main bathroom shower, it has a see-through glass shower door. Which means if he leaves the bathroom door open and I happen to walk by while he’s in there, I will see him naked.

I might have to lock my bedroom door so I’m not tempted.

We get out of his car and we walk to the front door, hand in hand. The second we’re in the room, I drop my purse on his little table by the door and take off my shoes.

Before I can take off my jacket, Preston has me pressed against his front door and his lips slam on mine. I moan as his hands cup my ass and he grinds his e
rection into my center. His tongue snakes into my mouth, and suddenly all thoughts of not wanting to go further tonight vanish.

He tears his mouth from mine, “Fuck, I love those little moans you make.” He grinds into me again. And I shove his chest, snapping back to reality.

“I um, I should get to bed, I have to work tomorrow.”

He lets me down slowly, still staring into my eyes. He gives me a quick kiss on the forehead and moves away.

  “Goodnight, my sweet Trixie.”

I quickly go up his stairs and slam my bedroom door. I’m not going to be able to resist him for long. My whole body is aching with need right now. I quickly take my clothes off and spread my legs. I gotta take care of myself before I go back out there and jump on his dick.

  Chapter 25

  Preston

I almost had her how I wanted her, but I understand why she wasn’t ready just yet. I’ll give her some time, but I don’t know if I can hold out for much longer without having her fully. As I go up the stairs and pass by her room, I hear her moan. My already hard dick strains even more in my jeans.

  “Yes, Preston,” she groans out.

Fuck, she’s touching herself. I undo my jeans, pull my cock out, and start stroking, the louder she gets the more my dick throbs. I should be the one in there touching her right now. I work my dick harder in my hand, but when she calls out my name again, I snap. I throw her door open and it bounces off the wall.

Trixie is laying on the bed, two fingers inside her and the other hand is playing with her clit. She jumps when she see’s me, and she looks down at my cock hanging out.

She tries to cover up but I don’t let her. I rip the blanket from her grasp and kneel on the bed, forcing her legs apart and moving her hands. I breathe in her scent, god it’s intoxicating.

Then I give her a long slow lick. “Oh shit.” Trixie bucks up off the bed, grinding her pussy on my face. I move to her clit and suck, while I slip my middle finger inside of her.
