“What? You can’t banish me! Who’ll rule Luciefyiore?”
“Why, your…queen would be next in line.”
“No, you can’t do that!” Enishka roared. “Her powers are mine! They are owned by me. I am more powerful than any demon around. I will—”
His voice was cut off as a nod was given to Tobias by the head of the Council. Tobias raised his arms and the red moon of Luciefyiore descended. Enishka was sucked into it, still kicking and screaming like an errant child in the throes of a tantrum.
The head of the council turned to Keara and spoke calmly. “He will, of course, get your powers, Jenesi. It is his right. Unfortunately, they are rather useless on an empty moon.”

Keara made her way to where the old school still stood. The building was only half standing, the roof burned away to show the faint glow of the red stars above.
So different from the burning brightness of the Earth dimension’s stars which lit the night.
It seemed like a lifetime ago since she’d attended this school. It was a lifetime ago. She was Jenesi back then and was truly Keara now. The human woman she’d grown into.
“Are you here?” she called out.
Leaves crackled in the dryness as Natalya turned the corner, her black dress trailing the dirty ground behind her. “I am.”
Keara turned to face her. Surprisingly, they were dressed very similarly. Keara’s black lace wedding gown was just as full and trailed behind her. The corset top pushed her breasts up and over, but she had dainty little sleeves that slid over her pale shoulders, while Natalya’s gown had none.
“All my life, I wanted to be you,” Natalya said, her voice emotional and belying the hardened look she always wore in her eyes.
“And all mine, I didn’t,” Keara retorted wearily.
“As a child, I knew you were the prophecy. To think, you never cared about being the ruler of our world. My childhood mind couldn’t comprehend that.”
“You forget, I’m half human. I had a prophecy to fulfill in that dimension also.”
Natalya nodded. “For as much as I reminded you, I did forget. Often.”
Her admittance meant a lot. It meant that Keara was much more accepted than she knew. Not that it mattered any longer.
“He’s overthrown?” Natalya asked.
“He was when the council reconvened. He forced me to marry him against my will.”
“You’ll be the ruler still?”
Keara shrugged her slender white shoulders. “I’m next in line since my father’s banishment is still in effect.”
“You’ll uphold your part of the bargain?”
Keara raised her brows. “Luciefyiore needs a demon lord, doesn’t it? I can’t be here full time. I’ll appoint you in my stead as we agreed.”
Natalya inclined her blonde head. She may not ever care for Keara, but she had to respect a slimy human who held her part of a bargain.
“Thank you.”
Keara inclined hers also, although neither woman noticed it was the exact opposite angle of Natalya’s.
Night and day.
Black and white.
Totally different colors. And somehow, it no longer mattered.
* * * * *
Keara peered out the window at the scene below her. It was a perfect cloudless day. The grass was bright green and laughter sparkled from the guests below. This time, she was being married in white lace instead of black.
There was one demon present at the wedding of the century. Her father didn’t count, of course. He was considered a demi-god in his own right and was fitting in with the Council. Rumor had it that he would be the first representative from Luciefyiore to be asked to sit in.
But the demon… Natalya appeared angelic enough, with her horns descended, to look like anyone else. And without the usual black she wore, she could easily have been mistaken for one of the Greek gods who dressed in white and gold. But those who had been exposed to her knew otherwise. She was full demon, through and through.
The door whispered open behind her and Keara didn’t bother to turn around. “It’s bad luck to see your bride before the wedding.”
Arms snaked around her middle and Caleb whispered into her ear. “We make our own luck, baby. You and I.”
She smiled and turned to face him. “Have I mentioned lately how much I love you?”
“As much as I love you?”
“More, sweetheart. As much as life itself.”
He leaned his forehead to hers. “And if you ever try to save me by sacrificing yourself again…”
She laughed. It was a warning he’d repeated more than once since they’d gotten out of Luciefyiore.
He leaned in for a kiss, a promise of what was to come later that night. His lips slid over hers and their breathing deepened with the usual need.
Natalya poked her head in the door to witness Keara in Caleb’s arms, mouths mashed together, hot and heavy.
“My father will be here any minute,” Keara whispered with a giggle.
Keara was to be given away by her father. Natalya had never actually met the Horntreau demon, he had been banished when she was an infant. Still, there was a certain amount of awe there for the man who had beaten Enishka.
“Break it up, lovebirds. Geez, you two disgust me.” Natalya’s voice did have a certain amount of queasiness to it, she made sure of it.
Caleb kissed the tip of Keara’s nose before turning to face her. “Go find yourself a man,” he muttered.
“I have several hundred back home, thanks,” she reminded, blinking her eyes innocently. “I just came to warn you before your father got here. The gravitational pull of our moon is weak tonight and with the entire council busy with the wedding, rumor has it that Enishka’s followers will try to set him free with a portal.”
“Not possible,” Keara said. “I learned something interesting when Enishka and I battled. The power struggle between us caused amazing things back on Earth. The moon was full when people in asylums went a little crazy. They felt the energy, it opened up a tiny link in their brains.”
“Yes?” Natalya said.
“So in order to make things more balanced, there are certain demons in Luciefyiore who will go insane along with the humans on full moon nights. Adolpheus, the Rot Demon, for instance.”
Natalya smiled. “Along with every one who worshipped Enishka?”
“You got it.”
“How is that possible? You still have some power? Enishka didn’t get it all?”
Keara smiled. Her demon eyes glowed blue and her horns slowly rose. Caleb was tanned and blond next to her.
An angelic image to balance Keara’s demonic looks.
Epilogue
Natalya was on her back, legs wrapped tightly around the hips of the human male who was thrusting deep into her.
“I’m coming,” he muttered, voice husky.
She smiled. “Mmm. Fuck me harder, lover.”
It tossed him over the edge, his hips bucking wildly into her as his climax hit, spewing hot semen from the tip of his cock.
He collapsed onto the luscious woman, her sexy breasts pushing into his chest.
Natalya somehow reminded him of Keara. She was blonde while Keara was midnight, but each had large blue eyes and even larger perfect breasts. Round sweet globes tipped with rosy pink nipples. Hard nipples, always poking stiffly. For him.
Sweet pussies, swollen and hot and wet, shaved smooth underneath.
He’d met Natalya in a bar tonight and she sought him out above all others. It did his ego good to be so wanted. Especially after his wife left him and Keara refused to take him back.
When Dean looked up again, Natalya had horns.
“What the fuck?”
He tried to pull his dick from her, but it was gripped tightly within her passage. And then it began to burn, as if her juices were acidic.
Again and again he tried to pull out, to no avail. All his panicked mind could think of was washing off his
cock.
“You’re welcome, Keara,” Natalya said to no one in particular but looking into Dean’s eyes. “You’ll be impotent with anyone but me,” she told him. “And soon, you’ll be headed for our dimension, won’t you, sweetie? By the way, I’m the Huntress.”
About the Author
During my daytime job, I explore people of all types. At night, I love to read.
Why did I start writing? My favorite authors were all between books and I twiddled my thumbs until deciding, “Hey, I can do this for someone else out there who’s waiting for a new release too!” My favorite authors in no particular order include: Kim Harrison, Laurell K Hamilton, Jim Butcher, Charlaine Harris and Kelley Armstrong. So obviously, I cling to urban fantasy type work with one difference—I’m a romance author at heart. I must have my happy ending with Prince Charming. And no, it doesn’t matter if he has fangs. Or fur. As long as he’s naked, we’ll be just fine! Therefore, Ellora’s Cave seems a perfect fit for my work.
Join me for a few hours and get lost in my worlds! For now at night, I love to write!
