“Hurry back,” he slurred in a sleepy voice.

She was deliciously sore she realized as she climbed off the foot of the bed and, grabbing up her clothes, locked herself in the bathroom to do a quick wash-up and dress. They’d been insatiable the night before. Taking her to heaven two more times before they’d all finally fallen into an exhausted sleep. She was surprised she could walk without wincing.

She shuddered at the thought of the orgasms they’d given her. She’d lost count at five. Had there been more? She imagined there had. They didn’t seem to be satisfied unless she came with or before them. Never had she experienced anything like what they’d shown her that night.

Now, as she slipped from the bathroom then the bedroom, she questioned her sanity. What had made her believe she could go to bed with them without it affecting her far more than it should have? She liked them. The short time they’d talked at the bar had showed her that she enjoyed their company. The fact that they’d asked several times when they’d been necking on the couch if she was okay and giving her an out if she wanted things to top told her they were good men. It only made it that much harder to leave them.

But she had to. This had only been a one-night thing. A hook-up, as much as she hated that term. Libby knew she’d carry this night with her for the rest of her life. She didn’t regret one second of their time together, but she knew she’d feel the emptiness of not having them longer for a very long time.

Once outside the house, she called a cab and settled on one of the rocking chairs on the front porch until it arrived. On the drive back home, she shivered with the memory of their hands on her and the way they’d looked at her as if she were the most beautiful woman in the world. The fact that Levi kept calling her beautiful only fueled the fire of desire springing to life inside of her once more. How could she possibly settle for another man, if she ever found one, after having had the best sex of her life? No one would ever top that one night. It wasn’t even that there’d been two of them. It was just how amazing each man had been to her.

Libby paid the cabby and walked up the stairs to her apartment on the second floor of the complex. She had the rest of the day to think about them but needed to get them out of her system before work the next day. Once she got back into the swing of things, it would fade, she was sure. One night. It was all she could have, and it would never be enough.

The phone call from Janice that afternoon hadn’t helped her get past the need to see the two men once more. She’d thought of little else all morning, finding herself pausing as she folded clothes or swept the kitchen floor, thinking about how they’d made her feel. Little aftershocks of her many climaxes thrilled through her as if it were happening all over again. How was she going to get past them?

  “Well?” Janice asked.

“What?” She stalled, leaning back against the couch.

“How was it? You’ve got to tell me everything, girlfriend.”

  “It was good,” she said.

  “Bull, how good?”

“It was the best sex of my life, okay?” She covered her face with one hand and sank down in the cushions.

“Really? Oh my God. Tell me.”

“I’m not giving you details, Janice. I still can’t believe I did it.”

“Oh, you did it all right. When are you going to see them again?” Janice asked.

  “Never.”

“What?” Her friend’s startled question was loud enough that Libby had to take the phone from her ear.

“I’m not seeing them again. It was only for one night, Janice. I can’t see them more than that.”

“Why not? They’re hot as hell, hon. You should enjoy them for as long as it lasts.”

Libby closed her eyes and pulled a pillow over to her belly and squeezed it close. This was why she’d resisted calling her best friend earlier. She knew the other woman would chastise her for running off without talking to them.

“I can’t handle them for more than that, Janice. It was wonderful, but intense. I’m not sure I’m cut out for intense relationships. I took a cab home before they woke up,” she admitted.

“Oh, Libby. You didn’t. How fair was that to them? You’d have been livid if some man did that to you.”

“I know, but I couldn’t face them after, well, everything.”

Janice was quiet on the other end. So quiet that Libby wondered if the other woman had hung up.

  “Janice?”

“I’m here. I’m just wondering if you’re going to regret leaving without talking to them. If they were as nice and as hot as you insinuate, then you’re going to miss the chance of something more with them.”

“What more could their be, Janice? We can’t date or anything. You don’t date two men at one time,” she pointed out.

“Some people do. There are several threesomes that I know in Austin,” Janice said.

“Those are two women and one man.”

  “What’s the difference? It’s still a threesome.”

“Maybe. I don’t know.” Libby slammed the pillow back on the couch and stood. “This is all too weird. I never should have gone with them in the first place.”

“Don’t second-guess yourself, Libby. You had an amazing experience. If you aren’t going to pursue it, at least accept it and move on. Regrets are nothing more than kicks in the ass. You don’t need another one after that asshole you were dating. Need me to come over and beat some sense into you?” Janice asked.

Libby smiled. “No. I’m fine. I need to finish up my chores anyway. It’s another work day tomorrow.”

“Talk to you soon,” Janice said.

  “Bye.”

Libby sighed and stiffened her spine. Janice was right about one thing. She wasn’t going to beat herself up over having taken the chance on being with Devin and Levi. She’d had absolutely fabulous sex, and she could own that. Since she’d never see them again, it shouldn’t be too hard to put it behind her and get on with her life.

  * * * *

Devin couldn’t believe she’d left without saying anything to them. He’d thought they’d connected on a deeper level. It had never occurred to him she’d rabbit like she had. They’d cuddled and talked after the wild sex they’d shared. Even he’d been surprised that they’d been able to go three rounds with her. It was a testament to just how sexy the woman was.

“And you’re sure she didn’t say anything when she got up?” Levi asked for the third time.

“I’m sure. I asked her where she was going, and she said the bathroom. I told her to hurry back. Then I fell asleep again.” He wanted to kick something for not remaining awake until she’d come out of the bathroom. He’d have stopped her if he had.

“How are we going to find her again? We don’t even know her last name.”

“She works at a hospital in the medical records area,” Devin reminded him.

“And how many hospitals are there in the area?” Levi pointed out.

  “Too many.”

“Besides, they won’t tell us if she works there or not. They won’t give out personal information about their employees. We don’t.”

“She was so damn cute,” Devin said, absently running his fingers over his face. “She could have been the one, Levi.”

“I know. I felt it, too.”

Devin strode across the kitchen and pulled out a bottle of water from the fridge. He tossed another one to his brother. “Maybe we’ll see her again at the bar. If not her, then maybe her friends. It’s about the only possibility of finding her again.”

“There has to be another way. I don’t want to give her up,” Levi said.

“Me either, but I can’t think of any way to find her. Austin is a huge place.”

“Round Rock isn’t all that large. You’d think we would run into her at some point.”

He wanted to search for her, but Devin didn’t have a clue where to start. It looked like hanging out at the bar was their only option. He wanted to find her in a bad way. She could very wel
l be the one they’d been looking for to complete them. They’d wanted to share a woman between them for as long as he could remember. They’d even felt that way in high school, though they’d dated on their own at the time. They knew it wouldn’t have been allowed as teenagers. There was just something about seeing a woman go nuclear when two men pleasured her.

Devin knew that when he was too intense his brother could smooth things out while he could keep a woman from walking all over his brother and getting her way even when it wasn’t best for her. No, they complemented each other perfectly for making a secure family. All they had to do now was find the woman, and he was almost certain that woman was Libby.

He tried to concentrate on the football game they were pretending to watch that afternoon, but all his thoughts centered around how to find Libby and remembering how she’d lit his blood on fire. Her hot little pussy had driven his dick to new heights. He’d never been able to go three times in one night and had never come so hard as when he’d been balls deep in her tight pussy.

And her mouth. Fuck but she’d been sexy taking his cock down her throat. She’d nearly blown his mind when she’d swallowed around him, sucking all the cum from his balls like a pro. Her pouty pink lips looked perfect wrapped around his shaft. He wanted to see them there again almost as much as he wanted to bury his cock deep inside her. She was so damn responsive. So right for them.

He could still hear her sweet moans when they touched her. His balls burned with the need to fuck her again and again until she admitted she belonged to them. He wanted to watch his brother eat her pussy while he devoured her plump breasts. She was made for them. They just had to find her and convince her of it. It shouldn’t be so hard, but he knew it would be. They had only her first name and what she did for a living. The one possibility was that they’d see her at the bar or, at the very least, her friends.

He didn’t want to think about the alternative. He didn’t want to give up on finding her. She had to be out there somewhere. Somehow, they had to have another chance with her. He’d do just about anything to have that chance.

  Chapter Four

Libby looked at the little strip and panicked. Positive. It was positive. She was pregnant. How was that even possible? The only man, well, men she’d been with in the last six months had been Devin and Levi, and they’d worn condoms.

Condoms can leak. I knew the risks when I went home with them.

Actually getting pregnant had never crossed her mind. All she’d been able to think about was having the two blindingly handsome men focused on her for one night. One amazingly perfect night of bliss. And now she was paying the piper.

What am I going to do? How do I take care of a baby all by myself?

Well, she wasn’t going to have an abortion. That wasn’t something she believed in for her, and she couldn’t give up her baby for someone else to raise. She’d just have to make it work. She had a good job and worked from home, so it wouldn’t be nearly as difficult as if she had to find a babysitter while she was at work.

It sounded too easy. She knew it wouldn’t be. Going through pregnancy alone was scary business. Still, she wouldn’t be entirely alone. She had Janice. She’d stand by her and help in any way she could. Libby was confident of that.

God, she had to tell her and soon. She was already a little over three months. She figured she’d start showing in her clothes in another month. Already she had a little tummy on her. Where she’d always had a rounded belly, it was firm and a little more pronounced now. Her breasts were super tender so that wearing her bra was uncomfortable when she moved. No, she needed to talk to Janice now.

She hesitated with her finger over the button to place the call then hit it and swallowed down her nerves.

“Hey, girl. What’s up?” Janice’s laughing voice filled her ear.

“I was wondering if you’d like to go for lunch today? I know it’s late notice, but I just finished my chores and realized I hadn’t eaten.”

“Love to. Brad is playing golf. Where do you want to meet?”

Libby named their favorite bistro and agreed to meet the other woman in twenty minutes. She hit End and stood there, frozen in place at the knowledge that everything would change once she told her friend her news.

She arrived a few minutes late after procrastinating walking out of the apartment. When she walked into the building, it was to find that Janice was already sitting at their favorite table near the windows. She waved her over.

  “Sorry I’m late.”

“Nonsense. I just sat down myself. How are you doing?”

“Good. Hungry.” Libby found that after getting sick in the mornings, she was ravenous in the afternoons.

They placed their orders then chatted about what was going on in their circle of friends before their food arrived. Libby nibbled on hers but wasn’t able to enjoy it with what was weighing heavily on her mind. She wasn’t sure how to say it, so she blurted it out when Janice had just taken a bite of her muffuletta.

  “I’m pregnant.”

Janice’s eyes grew wide as fried eggs before she hastily chewed and swallowed hard.

  “Are you sure?”

“Yeah. I’ve been getting sick in the mornings and finally took a test this morning. It’s positive. I’m pregnant, and I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

“I didn’t realize you’d even gone out with anyone since the douche bag,” Janice said.

“I haven’t. Well, except for Devin and Levi.” She sighed, seeing the shock on her friend’s face.

“Oh…my…God. I forgot about them. One of them is the father. Do you know which one?”

“No,” she said miserably. “I don’t have a clue.”

“So it could be either one of them,” Janice said.

  “Yeah.”

“Are you going to have the baby?” Janice asked with a cautious expression.

“Yes, of course I am. I’m keeping it, too. I can’t imagine giving up a part of me to let someone else raise,” she said.

“You know I’ll help any way I can. At least you have a good job that will allow you to work from home. That will be a major worry off your back right there.” Janice reached across the table and squeezed Libby’s hand. “You’ll be fine.”

“I know, but I can’t help but be a little nervous about it. This is a big deal.”

“What about the guys? When are you going to tell them?” Janice asked.

“I don’t know. I know I need to, but I’m kind of scared to.”

“They have the right to know, Libby.”

“You’re right, but it doesn’t make it any easier to do it. I’ll have to go to their house because I don’t have their phone number to call them.”

“You should do it today. It’s Saturday, so they’ll probably be home. You remember where they live, don’t you?”

“Yeah. I was thinking about maybe waiting until next weekend.”

“You’ll just keep putting it off. You need to get it over with, so you can get on with making plans. I can’t wait to help you with a nursery.” Janice popped her hand over her mouth. “You only have the one bedroom. Libby, you’re going to have to move. Plus you don’t need to be climbing stairs while pregnant.

“I hadn’t thought about that. Finding a two bedroom apartment cheap enough for me isn’t going to be easy.” Libby hadn’t thought about the logistics of having a baby yet. It was a sobering thought.

“Well, you’ll have to move closer to Austin to get a cheaper place with two bedrooms. Round Rock is a little pricey,” Janice said.

“I’ve got so much to think about. I don’t know where to begin.”

“Start out with telling the guys. They have a right to know, and then you can go from there.”

Libby sighed and finally took a full bite of her sandwich. Janice was right. If she put it off till next weekend, she’d put it off again. She needed to tell them today, if they were at home. She finished up her sandwich while they talked about what she was going to
do next. Then Libby said good-bye to her friend and drove slowly toward Devin and Levi’s place. She sure wasn’t breaking any speeding laws on the way. Secretly she prayed they wouldn’t be there so she could put it off for another week, but their truck was sitting in the drive when she pulled in behind it.

Libby sat behind the wheel chewing on one fingernail staring at the big truck. Maybe they weren’t there and were in another truck. There were two of them, surely they had two trucks and not just the one. Maybe they had a company truck and they were out in it surveying a job they were working on.

The more she thought about it, the better she felt about knocking on the door. Surely they wouldn’t answer. Libby sighed and climbed out of her car and walked up the drive to the front door. She hesitated with her hand up in the air before finally knocking. She waited for a good thirty seconds before she smiled and turned to walk away.

Then the door behind her opened.

“Libby?” Devin’s voice was a punch in the gut.

She slowly turned around to see Devin’s smiling face staring at her. He turned and yelled back into the house for Levi then stepped out and grabbed her hand.

“Come in. We’ve been trying to find you ever since you left. Why did you leave without saying good-bye?”

Levi walked into the entrance hall then stopped, his mouth open in shock.

“Can you believe it? It’s Libby,” Devin said.

“Did Devin tell you that we’ve been trying to find you?” Levi asked.

Libby felt as if she were going to burst into tears if they didn’t stop making her feel so bad about sneaking out. She held up her hand.

“I’m sorry I snuck out, but I was afraid that we’d all feel uncomfortable in the morning, so I called a cab to spare you guys from having to take me home. I didn’t know how to feel. I’d never done anything like that before.” She sniffed. “You know. Had a one-night stand.”

“Babe, we didn’t want a one-night stand. We wanted to see where things could lead us. We never would have taken you home with us if it were just going to be one night. We could tell you weren’t like that,” Devin said.
