“Yeah, that’s it. Let me feel that tight pussy on me . . . milking my cock,” I growled as she leaned forward, hands splayed on my chest, hair tickling my skin as she rode me hard and fast.

“Fuck yes, Jacoby . . . your cock feels amazing,” she moaned as she tweaked one nipple with her fingers, skin slapping against mine. Reaching up, I gently grabbed ahold of her throat with my left hand, looking her in the eyes the whole time. Moe moaned, sitting up straight as I tightened my grip on her slender throat.

“Yeah, choke me. Fuuuuck, please choke me,” she moaned as she grabbed her breasts. Her pussy got tighter the harder I gripped her throat, my cock twitching and getting rock hard as she fucked me.

“Baby, I’m so fucking close to coming. You gonna come again for me?” I asked as she closed her eyes, her mouth open as raspy moans came out. I could seriously become addicted to fucking her amazing pussy. I pistoned my cock up into her and grinned as she moaned louder.

“Come for me, Jacoby. Oh my god . . . I’m coming,” she moaned, her pussy clamping down tight on my cock. I groaned loud and long as I came up into her; her pussy sucking the come right out of me. Closing my eyes, I tried to control my freight train of a heart as she slowed down her thrusting. Slowly, she slumped over onto my chest, her soft breath on my skin.

“That was . . .” she began and then sighed happily. I nodded and licked my lips. The room was so hot, and I was so thirsty. I slid out from under her and flipped her onto her back. Her eyes opened lazily as she looked at me. Hitching her ankles up onto my shoulders, I grinned down at her.

“What are you doing?” she asked, her words slurring like she was drunk. Hell, yeah, she was fuck drunk.

“Seeing what we taste like mixed together,” I replied before striking her pussy with my mouth like a fucking cobra. I lapped at the mixture of my come and hers, my cock getting a semi just from the taste.

  Chapter Five

I woke up a few hours later, feeling like someone was stabbing me in the side. Sitting up in bed, I looked over to see Moe snoring softly beside me. Slowly, I slid out of bed, grabbed a pair of gym shorts and slid them on. I winced as the pain got worse and I felt dizzy. Slowly, I hobbled down the hall to the kitchen. I jumped when I saw Floyd sitting at the kitchen table, reading and eating a sandwich. He looked up and smiled when he saw me. For once, I was grateful to see him.

“You wouldn’t be smilin’ if you knew what happened on that table a few hours ago,” I told him. He looked down at the table, frowned and shrugged.

“What’s the worst thing that could happen? Indy cleaning his soccer cleats on it again?” he asked as he closed his book and looked at me. Opening the fridge, I grabbed a bottle of ginger ale and set it on the counter. I shot him with a rueful look.

“You really wanna know?” I asked him. He shot me a look of utter disdain.

“Stop playin’ games and tell me what terrible, awful thing happened on our kitchen table,” he said, mocking me. I was going to enjoy the hell outta this.

“Came home tonight after my date with Moe and caught Mama ridin’ Sandore on it,” I told him flatly. Floyd stared at me for a moment and snatched his book and his sandwich off the table. He moved to the kitchen island and stared at the table like it was going to bite him. I chuckled and then winced. Floyd looked at me and then came over quickly.

“I’m never eating at that table again. I just might burn it,” he said ruefully. He looked at me again, cocked his head to the side and studied me long and hard.

“You feelin’ okay?” he asked, going into doctor mode. I shook my head.

“No, I don’t actually. My side’s been hurting all night and I feel queasy. Why?” I asked as I sipped ginger ale straight out of the bottle. Floyd made a face.

“Screw Mama and her rules, she wants to fuck the gardener on our family table, I’m gonna drink from the bottle,” I told him. He smirked.

“You’re drenched in sweat and your skin looks a little gray. Which side is it?” he asked. I pointed to my right side. He walked into the half bath off the kitchen and came back with a small, maroon bag. Pulling out an ear thermometer, he stuck it in my ear and pressed a button. It beeped after a moment and he frowned.

“102. Not good,” he said, sounding far off and tinny. I blinked at him and shook my head.

“Joker?” he asked, moving closer to me. I opened my mouth to answer him and it felt like it was full of sand.

“Jacoby! Mama!” I heard him yell and then everything went black.

  Chapter Six

My eyes were open, but I was in total and complete darkness. My body felt like it was being held down by sandbags. And all I could hear was this strange beeping and something like a bear growling, to the left of me.

“What in the hell? Are you sleepin’? Your brother hasn’t seen you in months and there you are, snorin’ like a hound of hell,” I heard my Mama hiss and then a whacking sound. I blinked a bit and things started to go from black to gray. Everything was blurry, but I could make out my brother, Mordechai, next to me, dressed all in black.

“How do you know what a hellhound sounds like, Mama?” he asked as he sat up. She frowned.

“And look at you, dressed like the Grim Reaper. He’s gonna wake up and think you’re here to bring him to the land of the dead or something,” she hissed. Mordechai shook his head and wiped a hand down his face. I grunted and they both looked to me.

“Sweet baby Jesus in a cradle! He’s awake!” bellowed Mama. Mordechai flinched and stuck a finger in his ear.

“I was going to say I would go get a nurse, but I think everyone in this damn hospital just heard you screech that little brother is awake,” he muttered. Mama gave him a look and he frowned.

“Oh, Jacoby. You gave us such a fright. And that poor little girl, nearly scared her to death,” she said as she stood over me, wringing her hands. I frowned and opened my mouth to speak, coughing instead. Mordechai grabbed a cup of water and held the straw to my mouth. The cold, clean-feeling liquid soothed my raw throat and I smiled at him in thanks.

“What . . . happened?” I whispered in a gravelly voice. Mama looked to Mordechai and he sighed.

“Your appendix ruptured, and I prevented you from face planting into the corner of the kitchen island,” said my brother, Floyd as he walked into the room in his sharp white lab coat and green scrubs. He held a tablet in his hand and a smug smile on his face.

“My appendix?” I asked. Floyd nodded as he looked at the monitor to the right of my bed.

“Moe said you’d been complaining of your side hurtin’ all night long. Then when you and I had our conversation in the kitchen, you started sweatin’ like a pig and passed out on the kitchen floor. When we got you here, your temp was nearly one hundred and four degrees. We’re lucky we got you here when we did,” he told me as he took my vitals himself. Mama walked out of the room as her cellphone rang. Floyd watched her leave and grinned.

“By the way, I ordered a new kitchen table this morning. You’re welcome,” Floyd told us. Mordechai looked confused, which caused Floyd to grin widely.

“Joker caught Mama and Sandore bumpin’ uglies on the kitchen table last night after he came home from his big date. Apparently, Mama was a rodeo queen in another life, if you get my drift,” teased Floyd. Mordechai shook his head.

“Please tell me that this is one of your sick jokes,” he muttered. We both shook our heads.

“I have the image of our mother’s naked ass and side boob burned into my memory for all eternity. Oh, and Sandore’s naked legs under her with his red socks still on,” I said gruffly. Mordechai shuddered and paled.

“My child eats at that table,” he whined as Floyd laughed.

“Exactly. Anyways Joker, you’re all set to be sprung tomorrow. I have you on a course of strong antibiotics. No sex for a bit, so you can heal up,” he said with a wiggle of his eyebrows.

“Thanks, Floyd. I appreciate it. Did Moe come to the hospital?” I asked. Floyd nodded.

sp; “She was here up until about a few hours ago. She’s at the house with Indy. I like her,” he replied. Mordechai smiled. I studied my older brother for a moment.

“Why’re you here? Aren’t you in the middle of some big deposition?” I asked him. Mordechai looked down at the floor and mumbled something.

“What?” I asked. Mordechai was quiet. Floyd huffed and walked over to our brother’s side.

“Dumb ass is bein’ proud. He fucked up some big case and got fired because he was the lowest ambulance chaser on the totem pole. So, he came back home to lick his wounds. Oh, and he’s gettin’ a divorce,” stated Floyd plainly. Mordechai shot him a look of pure disgust and Floyd just shrugged.

“Holy shit. Are you serious?” I asked. Mordechai nodded sadly.

“Jonathan is cheating on me. He sent me a long email, followed by a thirty-minute video chat. He wants a divorce. Doesn’t want to be a father or a family man. He wants to move to Boca Raton when he gets out and open a night club. A fucking night club, Joker! He’s even willing to sign over his parental rights because the kids aren’t biologically his,”said Mordechai. Floyd scowled and shook his head.

“They’re not?” I asked. Mordechai ran a hand through his jet-black hair and fixed his dark eyes on me.

“No. Jonathan is sterile. Both Indy and the new baby are mine,” he said with a sad smile. Floyd cursed under his breath.

“You guys have been married for like fifteen years and he does this now? Is this like a mid-life crisis or some shit?” asked Floyd. Mordechai shrugged and let out a long sigh.

“Who the hell knows? I certainly was blindsided with all this information. It’s gonna kill Indy. Kill him. We’re gonna need therapy,” he muttered, staring off into space. I touched his hand and he snapped out of his reverie and looked at me, his eyes tired and blood shot.

“I’m not gonna sit here and put all of my bullshit on you. As soon as Mama told me you were here, I came right away. I met your girlfriend. She’s really nice and Indy loves her,” he stated. I nodded and smiled.

“She’s pretty nice. I guess she’s my girlfriend. We’ve only been dating a few days and it’s only because she bought me at a charity auction,” I explained. Mordechai smiled genuinely for the first time. We all turned toward the door as we heard high heels tap into the room. Nadine stood in the doorway with a hand on her hip and a frown on her face. Even though it was a Sunday afternoon, she looked impeccable in jeans, an off the shoulder black shirt and her hair artfully messed up.

“Joker, if this doesn’t just beat all. Your appendix ruptured? Really?” she asked in mock irritation, but there was concern in her eyes.

“Well, well, well. Look who cleaned herself up and is an adult now,” teased Mordechai as he came over to give her a hug. She gave him a warm smile and returned his hug.

“Yup, no more scraped knees and pigtails,” she laughed. Floyd snorted.

“That’s not what I heard,” he quipped. She slugged him in the arm and he pretended it hurt.

“Be a gentleman, Floyd or I’ll tell your Mama on you,” she replied. Floyd shook his head and frowned. Nadine came over as Floyd left the room and sat down at the edge of my bed. Concern covered her beautiful face once more.

“You sure you’re okay?” she asked softly. I nodded and winced a bit.

“It’s not a walk in the park, that’s for sure. But I’ll be fine. You didn’t need to come down here and ruin your Sunday,” I told her, making her laugh.

“Your mama called mine and blamed ‘naked dancin’ for money on your appendix bursting. Said it was a sign from God or somethin’. My mama in turn, called me and wanted to know if I’d quit my job at the news station to become a sex trafficker and it took me an hour to calm her down before she realized you were in the auction that she was at!” she laughed. I chuckled and then groaned at how much it hurt.

“Don’t worry, my Mama pretends to be pious and dignified. I caught her riding the landscaper last night like he was a prize show pony. On the kitchen table. Floyd has since ordered a new one,” I remarked. Nadine’s eyes widened, and she giggled, her nose scrunching up.

“I forgot how colorful your family can be,” she giggled. Mordechai snorted.

“Colorful, that’s another way to put it,” he remarked. Nadine stood up and smoothed out her pants.

“Nice to see you Mordechai. Floyd, I would say it’s nice . . . but my Mama said lyin’ will send me straight to Hell. So, see you later,” she told him. Floyd grinned and nodded his head. He left the room when his pager went off.

“Jo, I’m gonna check up on you. Heal up and be good,” she said as she leaned down to kiss my cheek. She walked toward the door, looked over her shoulder and waved. Mordechai’s stiff posture relaxed once she was gone and he reminded me of a deflated balloon.

“You okay?” I asked. He passed me the cup of water when I signaled for it. Taking a deep sip, I managed to place it on the tray table next to me.

“Hell no. But it looks like I’ll be moving back home until I can find a place of my own and someone to take care of the kids for me,” he spat out. I shook my head.

“Mordechai, you don’t have to do this alone,” I started, then stopped as he shook his head.

“Of course, I do, Joker. That was Jonathan’s intent. He doesn’t want to be with me. Hence, I’m alone. I have no job and no one to help me with the kids when I do have a job,” he said wearily.

“Mor, I have two more weeks of school and then I can help out this summer. That’ll give you a few months to get settled,” I told him. Mordechai looked at me and his expression was unreadable.

“You’d do that for me? Really?” he asked, awe in his voice. I nodded, and he smiled widely. He was on me in the blink of an eye, his massive arms wrapped around me.

“Ouch! Fucker, you hug like a freakin’ lumberjack!” I yelped as he hugged me tighter. I heard footsteps and then Mordechai released me. Mama stood on the other side of the bed, a pissed off expression on her face.

“Mordechai are you tryin’ to kill your baby brother?” she hissed. Mordechai rolled his eyes.

“No ma’am. I was just huggin’ on him. He agreed to help me out this summer with the kids,” he told her. Mama smiled and ruffled my hair.

“Such a good boy,” she cooed; making me roll my eyes. She looked over her shoulder and I followed her gaze. Moe stood there, looking sexy as hell, even if she was only wearing yoga pants and a red t-shirt that hugged her curves. She gave me a tiny smile and walked over to us.

“Mordechai come buy your Mama somethin’ to drink,” ordered Mama as she led him out of the hospital room. Moe gave them a warm smile and Mama patted her on the shoulder as they left. Moe walked over and kissed me on the lips softly.

“Well, this is a first,” she said softly. I frowned.

“Sex with me sent you to the ER,” she joked, chuckling softly. I laughed and then groaned.

“Please don’t make me laugh. It hurts like a bitch,” I told her.

“I’m so sorry. Really, I am. And why didn’t you tell me you were sick!” she scolded. I held up both hands in mock surrender and smiled weakly.

“Usually when I hit the gym as hard as I did yesterday, I’m sore. It comes with the territory. I figured the pain was from over doing it or something. I had no idea it was my appendix, or I would’ve gone to the hospital last night,” I told her. She nodded and sat on the edge of my bed, chewing on her bottom lip.

“Are you okay?” I asked her. She looked up quickly and nodded.

“You’re the one in the hospital bed, not me. I’m fine,” she replied with a genuine smile this time.

“Just checking. I’d planned on loving you a bit more last night, but this whole thing had to happen,” I replied with a smile. Moe looked at me.

“Are you okay with what happened last night? No regrets or anything?” she asked, her voice a whisper. So, she was thinking too much.

“You’re way too far into your head, Moe. I’m betting you analyze
d and over analyzed everything that happened between last night and now. Haven’t you?” I asked her. A guilty expression crossed her face and she nodded slowly. Grabbing her hand, I squeezed her fingers gently.

“I don’t regret a single thing. Not one kiss, touch or feeling. So, just enjoy being my girlfriend,” I told her. One of her eyebrows raised and she looked at me with a smirk on her pretty mouth.

“Your girlfriend huh? Who said I was your girlfriend?” she asked with a laugh.

“My Mama did, and she’s the authority on everything,” I told her. Moe snorted.

“You’re such a Mama’s boy,” she teased. I crossed my arms over my chest.

  “I am not,” I replied.

“That’s your best retort? You live with your Mama,” she shot back.

“Low freakin’ blow, Mobley. Besides, three of my four brothers live at home,” I told her.

“And Bryce probably would too if Ashton would let him,” said Floyd as he came back into the room with Bryce on his heels. Bryce was all red in the face and sweaty. He leaned over and placed his hands on his thighs as he took in a deep breath.

“What the fuck happened to you?” I asked as he sat down in the chair next to my bed and guzzled my water.

“Hey! That’s mine!” I told him. Bryce flipped me off, smiled at Moe and frowned at Floyd, who was leaning against the sink in my room with his arms crossed over his chest.

“That fucker . . . he told me Ashton was in labor,” he breathed. I looked at my brother, Floyd who just shrugged.

“Where the hell were you that you weren’t at home with your wife?” I asked. Bryce looked down at his shoes.

“I was over at Skeeter McNulty’s we were watching the game from last night,” he muttered. Floyd leaned forward.

“What game would that be, big brother?” he asked, his eyes full of teasing. Bryce frowned.

“The game,” he hissed. Floyd shook his head and smiled.
