Mountain Man's Virgin: A Mountain Man Romance

“She abandoned me.” Hallie said in shock as I gazed at her.
“How long are you staying? You girls should have plenty of time to catch up.” I told her, my curiosity too much to bear. “I was thinking a couple of weeks. I have tons of time off since I am a workaholic back in the city. I suppose you understand that feeling, running two places and all.” Her eyes met mine for a moment and heat passed through them.
“I had fun at the shop today. It was a bit like old times when I helped my dad in the summers and on holidays.” She smiled happily, and I longed to tuck a piece of errant hair behind her ear.
“I liked having you there. I’m bad with spreadsheets and figures. I like to work on stuff. I have Cora to help me with that at the yard.” I watched her face pale and knew for certain that there was something between them.
“Cora Clark?” Hallie asked hesitantly as I frowned.
“I don’t know her last name. Huh. She’s a brunette.” I replied. Hallie dropped her shoulders as if in defeat.
“You know her?” I asked her.
“Yeah. I mean, I did back in school. I haven’t seen her in years.” Her voice was flat.
I turned to her, slipping an arm over the booth behind her. Food forgotten, Hallie seemed forlorn. I wanted to bring her back to me and I stroked her shoulder gently as she jumped.
“Are you okay?” I asked as she licked her lips quickly.
“Yeah. It’s just stupid high school stuff. It doesn’t matter anymore.” She forced a laugh that didn’t sound genuine and I looked at her food.
“Are you finished eating?” I asked in a soft voice as she surveyed the remainder of their snack on the table. When she nodded, I asked for the bill and paid it as she remained silent.
Chapter 7
Hallie
I wasn’t sure what he had in mind as he paid for my nearly untouched food. Colton moved from the booth and offered me his hand as I stared at him. I sighed and took it, allowing him to lead me out the front door and on the sidewalk. It was getting late, and the sun was going down, casting a gorgeous glow around me. I smiled and took it in, realizing how much time had passed since I took the time to do this.
Colton led me to the old pickup truck that he drove. I recognized it as Gus’ and smiled at the faded blue vehicle.
“Is there anywhere around here to look at the stars? A place out of town?” He asked, and I stared at him under the light of the street lamp.
“You don’t know it?” I was surprised, and he shrugged with his crooked smile.
“I haven’t needed to before now. Is your dad okay?” Colton asked as I blushed.
“Bri went there to watch over him. She’s been spending nights there with me. We see each other plenty.” I laughed softly as I admitted the truth.
“Good. Show me your place.” Colton opened the passenger door of the truck and I slipped inside, setting my purse down on the floor. I felt like a teenager on her first date, which was silly. I’d dated. I just never considered having sex with anyone before.
What was different about Colton? He got into the driver’s seat, starting the engine, and gazing at me.
I guided him out of town on the main road. We took a right about five miles away and I ran a hand through my hair. I never expected this tonight. I’d seen him and gotten over it by the time Dad insisted Bri and I get out by ourselves.
“Park right on the side here,” I told him as Colton stopped just off the road. “This is my place.” He got out to let me out before taking a low look over the moving grass in the wind. “Let’s walk the path down here.”
He led me down to a spot underneath a huge oak tree overlooking the meadow. The moon was full tonight and reflected on the pond several feet away from us. It was perfect, and it hit me how much I missed my thinking spot.
“This is gorgeous.” He told me as I nodded with pride.
“I love it here. I used to come here and think.” I told him as he glanced at the ground below us.
“Want to sit? I didn’t think to bring a blanket.” Colton looked sheepish as I looked down at my outfit.
“Old jeans, I don’t care.” We settled on the grass and stared over the miles of green grass and ponds for a few quiet moments. I looked towards the sky and smiled at the brilliant stars shimmering in the dark sky.
I could sense his gaze. But I felt bit shy to look back at him. I continued looking at the stars and admiring the beautiful night. He suddenly slipped his hand over my leg possessive. It made me shiver. I glanced at him and I licked my lips nervously. His eyes were on my face. There was no way to ignore his touch now.
“I haven’t spent any real time with anyone in town apart from my family. I took over the yard quickly and threw myself into that the way that I do. I didn’t want to complicate things in town for myself or Gramps. Small town and all.”
“Something changed when I saw you. I felt something inside that I can’t deny. I don’t want to.” He said looking into my eyes.
“How long have you lived here?” I asked as he rocked his head in thought, back and forth.
“A couple years. When I saw I haven’t been with anyone in town, I can’t say the same for other ones. Not a lot. I’m not a man whore but there were nights that… I guess I needed company.” His eyes locked on mine. “It was over when I came back home. I don’t like people to stick to me most of the time.”
“Now?” I asked softly as my heart raced inside of my chest.
“I wouldn’t mind getting to know you.” Colton admitted as I couldn’t help but smile. “Can I kiss you, Hallie?”
“Oh, god. Yes. Yes, you can.” But I felt weak to utter these words from my mouth, like my tongue was frozen.
“I only nodded in reply.”
He reached out a hand to cup my face, stroking my cheek as he searched my face. He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine gently as fire took over my body. I’d never felt a kiss like this and it was chaste. I moaned against him and he moved closer, slipping a hand around my back to pull me against him. His lips moved against mine, his mouth controlling mine as he slid his tongue through my now parted lips. I tasted the tea that he was drinking as well as peppermint and I reached for his neck.
Colton moved me over his body as our kiss deepened. It was slow and intense, and I pressed against him with one hand in his messy hair and the other sliding down his back. Colton was wearing a fitted t-shirt that showed off his fit body, but I could feel it as my hand traced his skin through the soft, thin material.
I was molten heat as he slipped one hand down to cup my ass, pulling me as close to him as he could. My nipples were hard and needy and my thighs burning as he moved against me. Thinking back to my handful of dates in New York, they were nothing like this. I couldn’t even remember why I decided to date them.
I never felt like sleeping with any of them. But Colton was… electric. I felt my willpower fading as he tilted his head and deepened the kiss. He was skilled at this and made me feel like I was boneless as I felt him press his hardness against me.
“Hallie. You make me crazy,” Colton told me.
“Same with you. I’ve never felt this way before.” Not even… I pushed the thought away. “I want… I think I need… you.”
“I never… I had never…. I mean… I never had sex before.” I said with a lot of difficulty and I blushed at the same time.
“What?” He asked. I don’t know why he was shocked at this.
“You’re okay with this going further?” Colton asked.
I nodded weakly. I wanted him with all my being shivered as he slipped my shirt over my head. I was wearing a thin camisole underneath that handled my small size well, not needing a thick bra. Colton dropped my shirt and eyed me hungrily as I tried to cover my pert nipples.
“No.” He said as he reached for the hem and lifted it.
I was naked up top and bit my lip.
I reached for his shirt. I tugged it off and dropped it to the side before kissing his jaw and neck. Colton resp
onded easily to all of it, the proof of what I was doing to him between my legs. He stroked my skin, and I felt the heat of him against me as I claimed his lips again. Colton slipped off my jeans and worshiped my body under the tree, the light of the moon making it perfect for me to see what he was doing to me.
I reached my hands into his hair as Colton buried his face between my thighs. His mouth covered me as his tongue stroked me gently. I always imagined this in my head, but it was intense. I’d only been touched a few times and not to this extent. I rocked against him, surprised at my need and lack of control. “Colton. Oh. God.”
“You taste so good,” he murmured as he spread me open wider. His tongue circled my sensitive nub quickly as I felt something shift inside. Before I knew what was happening, I was crying out his name and jerking against him.
Colton pulled away from me, pushing his jeans down his muscled thighs. He dropped over me, kissing my mouth hungrily as I felt his hard cock nudging my thigh. I could taste myself on him as our tongues danced together, reaching out to pull him closer. “I want you,” I moaned as he pulled away to stare at me.
“Are you sure? This is going to be uncomfortable, Hallie. It might hurt.” His eyes were filled with concern as I stroked his hair.
“I know that you’ll take care of me. I’m not scared, and I haven’t met anyone I wanted this with until now.” I pulled him down for a soft kiss and Colton pressed his tip against my entrance. He groaned and moved back to reach into his jeans for something, returning to my lips as he dropped something on the ground.
I shivered as I watched him slip a condom over his cock. Did he already know this is going to happen? I smiled at this thought.
Colton pressed slowly inside of me, capturing my lips with his. He was careful with me and moved slowly, allowing me to adjust to him. There was a little pain with the pressure and I turned my head to see the grass blowing in the breeze as he kissed my neck. I never imagined that I would experience this here of all places. It was perfect.
I turned back towards him and felt him slide all the way inside of me. I grunted as I let him fill me, pressing up to kiss him. Colton handed me the control and once the pain faded, I moved back to encourage him to move. Colton stared at me before he drew back, sliding into me again and again as I met his movements. He was caring and passionate, a little rough and careless. I wanted all of him and wrapped my legs around him as I dug my nails into his back.
“Hallie,” he groaned as he filled me, jerking slowly.
I felt him harden. I whimpered as the pressure swept over me again and threw my head back as I came again.
“Colton,” I groaned as he followed me a beat later. This was amazing, and I knew that Colton was the perfect person for this realized that New York felt like a lifetime ago.
I lay back on the grass when we were finished. Everything was amazing about what just happened, even as fast as it was. It felt right. I was just coming back to a reality in which he was working for my dad. It could get complicated and end horribly. I knew that I was leaving town and would be able to walk away. I just didn’t want to think about that right now.
Chapter 8
Colton
I held her against me on the grass as I recovered from being inside of her. It was hot and crazy unlike any other first time with a woman. I’d never felt like this and I stroked my fingers over her stomach as she shivered. Hallie’s body was gorgeous with soft curves and deep pink nipples that I wanted to feast on all over again.
She looked at me and moved to cover herself. I reached for her hand and held it against her stomach as I locked my eyes on hers. Hallie looked a little scared, and I smiled softly at her.
“You felt incredible.” I told her as she blushed. “I want to keep doing this with you as much as possible. I need to memorize every curve of your body, Hallie. You’re stunning.”
“I am?” She asked as I leaned down to kiss her shoulder.
“I know this is complicated as hell. Your dad would want to kill me for this, but I don’t fucking care. Tonight, meeting you…. It made me feel alive, Hallie. More than I have in a few years now.” I pressed my lips back against her skin. “I don’t even have a house that I can take you to. I don’t have anything to offer you. But fuck if I don’t want more of you.”
“I do too. I’m feeling the same thing, Colton. I’m so nervous right now but I feel amazing at the same time.” She stared at me as I brushed her lips with mine.
I took her home after we stayed and talked for a while. It was Hallie that initiated round two, climbing on top of me as she kissed me. We held each other afterward until she told me that she needed to get home.
We were both reluctant as I drove back into town and she kept looking at me.
“You okay?” I asked as I reached a hand over to hold hers.
“Yes.”
“Will you come work with me again?” I asked as she giggled.
“As much as I can. Bri is off from work for a bit to help me and I know that she’ll shove me out the door. But I have to focus on Dad first, Colton. He’s my everything. Can you handle seeing me when I can get away?” She asked.
I stopped at the first light in Chester and turned to face her.
“I can. I’m kind of working a lot right now.”
“You’ll have to come to see me.” I smiled at her as she blushed. “Can you handle that?”
I took her near her. We sat in the truck and kissed slowly, drawing out our goodbye. She finally wrenched herself away from me and stared into my eyes.
“I don’t want to leave but he needs me in the morning. “I’ll come to the shop and help you. I want to see you again.” She said.
“That’s perfect,” I told her, giving her a chaste kiss as she looked toward the house.
“Sleep well.” I wanted to tell her that I will miss her like some pussy, but I held back as she kissed me.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” With that, Hallie was gone and walking towards her house.
I watched her until she was inside with the door closed behind her, the light from the room brightening the covered windows. I was certain that Bri was there, demanding every detail as girls seemed to do. I smiled as I drove away, playing back the night.
I couldn’t wait to see her again. I couldn’t wait to taste her sweet mouth and hold her in my arms. I claimed Hallie tonight no matter how long she was going to be here. I arrived at the house and walked in quietly, seeing that everything was dark. I got some water and made my way to my room, changing into something to sleep in.
I dropped on my bed and closed my eyes, imagining Hallie again. Two times with her and I could easily go for another round. I was hard again and reached down to stroke myself, breathing lightly.
In the morning, I was surprisingly awake considering how late I arrived home. I showered and dressed for the shop before going to the kitchen for coffee. Gram was there, and she smiled at me as I reached for a mug.
“French toast sound good?” She asked as I nodded.
I was starving. I sat down and asked her about their night, grinning as she told me about the dinner and movie. Their friends sounded great, and I agreed to go with next time to meet them.
“What did you do for dinner?” She asked as I saw hope in her eyes.
“I hit the diner. That’s a good meal,” I told her as she laughed.
“It’s a nice change.” She placed my breakfast in front of me. “What kept you out so late? It’s been quite some time since you’ve come in so late.”
“Did I wake you?” I asked as she shook her head.
“I just like to know that you’re safe. It’s automatic. I don’t want to give you a curfew or anything ridiculous like that, not at your age. I just want you to be safe. We just got you back.” Her eyes were warm as I looked at her, shimmering with tears. “I love you, Colton.”
I stood to embrace her, staying quiet. We didn’t get emotional like this too often, but it was hard when we did. I didn’t want to take out the feelin
gs I had about never knowing them. It wasn’t their fault. I knew that they wanted to blame my mother and not take that out on me.
“It’s okay, Gram. Everything is fine. I was just driving around some.” I assured her, not ready to tell her the truth. It was new to me and I couldn’t explain how Hallie made me feel.
Chapter 9
Hallie
I knew that Bri would be waiting up for me as I snuck quietly into the house. It was how we were. I just didn’t know how to share what was happening inside of me. I glanced in the living room, seeing Dad in his chair and her face lit up by her phone.
“Shit!” Bri whispered as she jumped, looking at my dad. “You’re home. Let’s go to your room.”
We locked up the house and went into my small room where I stretched. Muscles hurt where they never had before, and I smiled.
“What happened? Where did you go?” She asked as I grabbed some pajamas and changed into them quickly. My thighs were achy, and I still throbbed with need as I sat carefully on the bed.
“I took him to the meadow.” Her eyes widened.
“You haven’t been there in years.”
“I know. I just wanted to go with him. I wanted some time.” I explained as I looked at her. “It got intense, Bri. I’ve never felt like that with anybody before.”
Her eyes softened as she joined me on the bed.
“I knew that you cared for him. It was all over your face.” She reached out and took my hands. “I pushed you into spending time with him, as if you didn’t notice.”
“I noticed. You’re not a subtle person.” I smiled at her. “What do I gain from seeing him? I don’t live here, Bri. I am just taking care of Dad and that seems compromised with this thing with Colton. Dad likes him, respects him. He wouldn’t feel any of that if he knew about us.” My face was solemn now, and she shook her head.
