It still surprised Carina that the beautiful child in her arms had been conceived on their postponed honey moon. One they took after the sale of the cattle. The profits had surpassed Brock’s expectations, paying off the past debts and allowing them a belated honeymoon trip to the Oregon Coast.
Tate patted his new sister. “Sissy.”
“You have to be gentle with her,” Maddie admonished.
“Mommy too, “ Brock added, taking her hand.
Tate patted Carina’s knee. “Gentle.”
Her love for every family member was overwhelming. Batting her eyes to keep the tears of happiness from spilling she said, “I couldn’t have made it through this without all of your love.”
A word about the author…
I live in Central Oregon on 70 acres with my husband, 4 dogs, 2 1/4 horses, (one is a miniature for the grandkids) 1 goat, 50 mother cows, 3 bulls, and a herd of 20 deer which feast on my flowers. We are living in our dream house that my husband and I built. Our four kids are grown and have thus far given us 5 grandchildren.
I've always been an avid reader and wrote stories to entertain myself and my friends. The decision to write and become published seemed like the logical thing to do. I feel blessed to be able to share my stories with others and love the fact my family is behind my dream 100%.
