Tempting Tessa Page 18

by Samantha Lind

Tessa: Nope, I already have our grocery order in for home delivery to come in the morning.

  Jake: Ok, see you soon.

I stop and get her favorite wine on my way home and as soon as I arrive home, I make sure to send her off to take some time for herself and wrangle the twins into going outside with me to run around the backyard. These kids have nonstop energy, so anything to help burn some of it off so they sleep all night is a must each evening.

The next night our dinner party goes perfect. After dessert has been served, I slip the envelope with our flight info and bungalow information in front of her. She’s shocked but so excited about our upcoming trip. We are leaving next week, so it gives her a few days to pack and get ready for the trip.

Bora Bora is just as amazing the second time as it was the first. Having the time with just the two of us is amazing and we amazingly came back even closer and more in love with each other than we were before. It surprises me that I fall more in love with her as time goes by. I just didn’t think that my love for this woman could change as much as it has, but years later, she still amazes me every day. I challenge myself to find new ways to tempt her. Whether it be trying a new place to eat on date night or skinny dipping at the cabin while our kids are asleep, I do my best to tempt her in every way possible.

I must first thank my family. Their support while I took on this adventure of writing my first novel was amazing, I love you all and am grateful for your support.

CC Monroe (Sierra) – you have been an amazing friend and mentor through this process and answering all my random questions. I don’t think I would have jumped in head first like I did if it hadn’t been for your encouragement and help.

My Beta team – thank you both so much for being my beta readers. Your words of advice have made this book even better than I could have imagined. I appreciate you all more than you could ever know.

Robyn Crawford – thank you for all your help! From the amazing teasers to the help with getting word out about my book. I will forever be grateful for all your help!

Virginia Carey – thank you for taking my manuscript and turning it into a book. I have said every step of this journey that I have never thought of myself as a writer and knew it would take a fantastic editor to turn my words into a novel. Thank you for your willingness to hold my hand through the process as I am learning something new each step of the way.

BT Urruela and Jess Epps – thank you for gracing the cover of this book. Your support has been amazing. The talent the both of you bring to your photo shoots is amazing and I enjoyed pouring over all the pictures of the two of you. The chemistry between the two of you comes through the camera lenses and is caught just beautifully. Thank you for jumping right in and helping get my name out into the Indie book community. I will forever be grateful.

Reggie Deanching with RplusMphoto – thank you for the beautiful photograph of BT and Jess. Your amazing work behind the camera brought my book to life and I will forever be grateful. Your work within the Indie book community is amazing, and as a new author I can never thank you enough for your willingness to work with a new author just starting her journey.

Melissa Gill with MG Book Covers – thank you for the beautiful work you did transforming the image and making the cover more than I could have ever dreamed of it becoming.

Nicole Bailey with Proof Before you Publish – thank you for your proofing skills. Your additional set of eyes on my manuscript made it just that much better.

Juliana Cabrera with Jersey Girl & Co. Design – thank you for making the inside of my book so pretty!

My reader group – thank you for the encouragement along the way. For sharing my teasers, pimping my book out and being excited for it. You all kick ass and I am so grateful for all of you!

To my fans and readers – THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For giving my book a chance, for reading it and loving the characters as much as I do. Your support means the world to me.
