Crimson: Satan's Savages MC Book One Page 20

by M. L. Beeson

I wake to someone clearing their throat. Looking up, I saw the last person I ever wanted to see again standing by the foot of my hospital bed. Grabbing and squeezing Blade’s hand as hard as I can out of pure panic to wake him up, his eyes shoot open and he’s instantly alert.

“Well I’m sorry to break up the family gatherin,” the man spoke in a southern drawl.

“Who the fuck are you?” Blade stands knocking over the chair he had previously been sitting in which startles Crimson awake.

“Mommy, what was that noise?” She rubs the sleep from her eyes. Grabbing the side of her head, I tuck her in even tighter against me, so she couldn’t see the situation happening around her.

“Well, why don’t you look at that? Looks like we got some talkin’ to do Ginny.”

“Will someone tell me what the fuck is going on and who the fuck this is?” Blade takes a protective step to put himself between the stranger and me and my daughter.

“You know, you have kept off my radar until you registered a vehicle under your great grand mama’s name,” he chuckles, “from there, it wasn’t hard to keep tabs on you, especially when you got admitted into the hospital. Although seeing this sweet little thing did catch me by surprise. Looks like I gave you the ultimate birthday present, isn’t that right hon?” He tries to get closer to see Crimson, running a finger down my toes as Blade steps up blocking his view of my daughter.

“What the hell is going on?” Blade grits out again.

Stunned at the situation, I barely get it out in a whisper, “Ross.”

  Acknowledgments

Mom, thank you for all of your support. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you. You have always pushed me to use my creative mind and this book has been just that. Thank you for being my rock and for bringing me back to reality when doubt started to set in.

To my wonderful husband, thank you for supporting all of my crazy adventures, especially this book. You have had to endure endless rants and raving about subjects you don’t know anything about but you were a trooper and let me get all my thoughts out there without a single complaint. I love hearing you say, “I am so proud of you,” every time I talk about my book. Thank you, I love you more than you know.

Emily, thank you for being my person; my best friend. You have literally been my number one fan and have helped keep me grounded as my ideas flowed. I couldn’t have done it without you and your ideas and help with finding my tribe on social media. You will forever be my soul sister.

J.L. Drake, thank you for all of your advice. I reached out to my favorite author not expecting the response I got. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your personal experience when taking a leap of faith and putting your work out there for others. I will always treasure those messages and I hope you know that you have made an impact on my life. Not only by your writing but for every question you took the time to answer for me, thank you.

Love Books Editing, this book would not be what it is without your help. I never in a million years would have thought I would publish a book. Your help has helped shape and mold me into a better writer who has a better understanding of what readers want. For this, I thank you, Shannan.
