Sunset Glade Panthers: The Original Trilogy and Epilogue Page 19

by Sennah Tate

“Hey, what kind of wedding doesn’t have any cake?” He teased.

Ben laughed, “Hey, I’ve got a new fruitcake recipe for everyone to try.”

“NO!” Came five voices in unison. Dr. Fairway and Aunt Bea were the only ones without a horrified expression.

Elena smiled at him and patted his hand as they all laughed together.

“Sorry, sweetie, I don’t think you’re going to win this one.”

He didn’t even care that they all hated his fruitcake. He had something better. Love. A real life. A wife… He sighed happily.

“Strange… I definitely feel like a winner.” He kissed his bride once more, thankful for the best Christmas he’d ever had and the knowledge that it was only the first of many more to come.
