“Hey, y’all.” Cammie, Grey, and Samantha approached and appeared just as happy, and just as glowing with the news of their own upcoming bundle of joy. Nothing like all the good stuff happening at once.
One at a time, the others in the family gathered around—Mom and Howard, Maeve, Lucy, and Junior, then Jo Jo and Beau and their two little ones. Rosie and her girls were there in the mix as well. His family meant everything to him.
“Has everyone met my mother, Lillian, and my sister, Lisa, and her children?” Matthew brought his family into the circle as well. They were pretty much complete now.
“Oh, hi, Sabine, so glad you could make it,” Emma said from behind him.
And the ground shook.

Book Club Questions
1. At the beginning of the story, Emma seemed irritable around Tad, but unaware of his role in causing her failed relationships in the last ten years. Do you think deep-down she knew his part in it, or do you think she was truly unaware? Why?
2. For the most part Emma was a strong, independent, and seemingly happy person. Do you believe one can truly be happy with such unresolved issues?
3. Life often throws us things we can’t control. Do you make the best of these situations and live every day to the fullest, or find the root of issues to work toward real happiness? What do the characters in the book do?
4. Do you correlate Matthew’s insistence on strictly controlling his diet and routine in his inability to control his daily environment as a child? Why or why not?
5. Do you think Matthew’s panic attacks were a result of his PTSD or being in Alabama against his will, or both? Why?
6. Emma’s dog, Big Al, is her steadfast and loyal companion. Have you ever depended on, or do you depend heavily on an animal for much-need support?
7. Emma’s overly large family constantly nudges her to tell them her secrets regarding the past. They won’t accept that she prefers to keep things private, to the point of official background checks and staging a full-blown behind-her-back intervention. Do you think her family oversteps their boundaries? Or are they just trying to help?
8. Small towns. Love ’em or hate ’em? Why?
9. Did you read Again, Alabama and get to know the Laroux family before you read this story? If you did, did knowing the family history help you appreciate Love, Alabama? If not, do you think this book stood alone without already knowing the family history?
10. Which secondary characters would you like to know more about? Why?

Again, Alabama
Cammie Laroux is back in Alabama—again.
Dragged back to her small town to help her mother recover from surgery while rescuing the family event planning business should be a cinch. Even for a disgraced television chef, right? Wrong.
Among the many secrets Cammie’s family’s been hiding is the fact that their historic home is falling down. Oh, and the man hired to restore the house, Grey Harrison, is the same high school and college love of her life who thrashed her heart and dreams ten years ago. Yeah, that guy.
Grey, a widower with a young daughter, has never stopped loving Cammie, and when they are face to face once again, the chemistry is off the charts. Cammie may be in full-blown denial, but letting go is no longer in Grey’s vocabulary, even when winning Cammie’s forgiveness and renovating their love may seem like an impossible build even for a master architect and carpenter.
As Cammie finds herself forgetting all the reasons she can’t trust Grey or love again, he finds himself remembering all the reasons he wants her to stay with him in Alabama… forever.
