With Jerry and Curtis in the new room, Sam waited for the woman to clean out the nightmare in the other. Fraser was hanging around, much to his annoyance. Sam wanted to deal with the biggest issue, not have Fraser asking him things or moaning that he couldn’t be a father this young.

Sam didn’t want to be the one that Fraser complained to, he couldn’t understand why the man couldn’t tell his friends. At least then he wouldn’t be stuck in this difficult situation.

“Do you think it could be possible?”

  “I don’t know, Mister Newton.”

  “We had sex once.”

Sam tilted his head to the side, watching as the woman approached. Fraser was facing away, leaning on the wall. The arms were crossed, and there was one serious frown on Fraser’s face.

“Once is all it takes, Mister Newton.”

  “Yeah but why me?”

  “It might not be you.”

  “But I don’t want this.”

“I don’t think you have much choice. Lilly said that she was keeping the child. If the child is yours and you don’t want to be a part of their life then sign custody over to Lilly, give her lots of money, and I’m sure your conscious will let you sleep again.”

  Fraser sneered with a huff.

“Hilarious. Don’t be a jerk, Sam.”

“I can see the bags under your eyes. Tell me that you’re not losing sleep over it.”

Fraser sighed heavily, scrubbing his hands through his hair as he paced the floor. As he turned, he watched several men walk out with boxes filled with alcohol. Ahead of them was a woman, one that should have had him interested but now, it was different. A part of him felt like backing out of the competition but he couldn’t, the boys would know something was wrong if he did.

“Fine, so maybe I am. I’m too young for this, I live my life on the road. I can’t be a father.”

Sam looked at Fraser, seeing the pain in his eyes. In a snap, he knew that this was not about being a jerk, this was about being scared. He didn’t want a child because it would bring the past to the surface again. The memories of a wonderful life with his own family that was ripped away from him by a selfish brother.

“Then pray that the child is mine,” Sam muttered under his breath.

It was something that Sam thought about every night too, though he figured that the silent prayers they said were vastly different.

  “Have you called Kevin?”

“Yes, he’s organized everything. All we have to do is wait for the child to be born and then they will do a mouth swab.”

  “And then?”

“Then we wait for approximately seven to fourteen days after that. There are several months between now and then, if you keep stressing over it then you will become a mess.”

Fraser huffed, wondering if it was possible to not lose sleep over it.

“How come you’re so calm about it?”

  Sam shrugged.

“Because I like Lilly and it wouldn’t bother me if the child was mine.”

  “So, you want the kid?”

Sam looked at the heavy frown, thinking that it was almost like Fraser couldn’t understand the concept.

“Yes, I do actually. Surprising, isn’t it?”

Fraser nodded, watching as Sam walked into the new green room. He chased after him, hoping that the boys were done with their snooping. Fraser smirked when he walked into the room, Jaxon was hugging Sam again. Casually, Austin slipped the phone back into the pocket of Sam’s jacket.

“The room is clean, gentlemen,” Sam said, prizing Jaxon off him. “It is a much larger room, and the rest of the rider is waiting so if you will.”

Sam watched quietly as they walked into the original green room. With a heavy sigh, he leaned on the wall and tried to forget that all the hard work that Curtis had put in hadn’t almost gone down the drain.

“Well?” Fraser muttered as he entered the huddle.

“Two hundred and five,” Jaxon said quietly. “I thought it would be more than that.”

“Well, it’s not so let’s be grateful he’s fallen behind,” Evan grumbled.

Austin rolled his eyes, shifting out of the circle so that he could lean on the counter behind him.

“He’s not that far behind you, jack ass.”

  Evan scowled.

“He is too. I’m at two hundred and ninety.”

  “Lame.” Austin crooned.

  “What’s your number, smart ass?”

Austin chuckled. Yet again he had them worried.

“I am not telling you until we get to the end, but I will tell you one thing, Evan. Your paltry two hundred and ninety makes you miles behind me.”

  Chapter 21

Sam rocked back and forth on his feet, watching the gate, searching for Lilly. He was worried that the weather would make the airline divert or cancel the flight, he’d spent a long time watching the board. Now it said that the plane had landed and he was a happy man. Lilly had made it to Germany, and he was minutes away from seeing her again.

She’d spent the weeks sending him a lot of pictures, showing him the tiny pot belly as it grew into a swell. He couldn’t wait to see her again, to run his hands over the belly, to feel the life growing inside her.

The last time that Sam had seen Lilly, the baby kicked, and Sam loved it. It was true to say that he couldn’t wait to see her and he couldn’t wait to meet the baby. That was a few weeks away, Lilly was now at thirty-two weeks. This would be the last flight that she would make to see Sam, the airline was uneasy letting her fly at this stage in the pregnancy and Lilly had to get a medical clearance from the doctor so that they would let her fly. The cutoff point for most airlines was around the thirty-six week mark, and for the next four weeks, Sam would be very busy. Two of those weeks would be lazing around the hotel with Lilly and his parents, the other two weeks would be filled with the tour and other events.

A charity event was on the horizon, New Year’s Eve to be precise. They’d be returning to the US, this time the event was in Hollywood. Once that was done, it was interviews and the gigs for a few more months. Sam didn’t know how he’d cope once the child was born. He didn’t want to miss a single day of it.

He pulled out his phone and looked at the bank app, yet again trying to do the mental calculations for a life at home with Lilly and the baby. At least for a few years. As for where home would be, that was yet to be decided. They’d discussed a few options but never settled on any one path. Sam knew that even if the kid was Fraser’s he’d still want to be with Lilly and the baby.

Shutting the app down, Sam put the phone back into his pocket and lifted his gaze. A dream was walking towards him, smiling as she dragged a large bag behind her. Sam returned the smile, happy that she was here.

Before she could say hello, Sam kissed her. Lilly giggled, wrapping her free arm around him.

  “I missed you too.”

His hand moved over the bulging stomach, feeling the soft and squishy skin. The baby kicked, much to Sam’s delight.

“And I guess you missed me too, right little lady?”

“The baby is a girl this time?”

Sam nodded eagerly, taking the bag from Lilly. The other hand held hers as they walked through the airport.

  “So, what’s new?”

“Not much. My parents arrived yesterday.”

  “Did you tell them?”

“Yes, it was an interesting conversation. Hey mom and dad, you might be grandparents soon but maybe not.”

  Sam sighed heavily.

“So, I didn’t tell them that. I didn’t want them to think that we’re just a bunch of deviates.”

  “Screwing your way around Europe?”

“Well, not anymore,” Sam said dryly.

  Lilly stopped, frowning at him.

“Tell me that you’re still in it to win.”

“I can’t do it anymore, it wouldn’t be right.”

“Sam,” She chided. “I want you to win. Besides, I was kind of lo
oking forward to having play time with some lovely ladies.”

  Sam smirked, looking at Lilly.

  “Are you a little horny?”

“A little?” Lilly scoffed. “I was going through so many batteries that I bought a plug-in vibrator to save money.”

Sam chuckled, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

“You could have found a friend.”

“Nah, I can’t be bothered with that.”

The driver opened the door for them, taking the bag to put in the trunk. In the warmth of the car, Lilly removed the heavy jacket and stretched back.

  “How did the move go?”

“Great. Not sure on what my sister really thinks about it but at least it’s only temporary.”

Sam nodded, moving in to run his hand over her belly again. He couldn’t resist.

“On the plus side, my parents like that I’m back in London. They keep hinting at moving closer, getting out of the city. You know, country air for the baby.”

  “Sounds nice.”

  Lilly frowned at Sam.

  “Really?”

  He nodded.

“I’ve always liked the English countryside.”

“So, you’d want to live somewhere like that?”

“I’d have to quit and move countries but sure, why not?”

  “But you love your job.”

  “I love you more.”

Lilly cooed with happiness, leaning in to kiss him.

  “Ditto?”

She nodded, trying not to laugh as they kissed.

  “Definitely ditto.”

The drive to the hotel was a short drive from the airport. Lilly was relieved, she was tired and needed to lay down. The thought of sleep was enticing, she hoped to lure Sam into the bed with her.

As they walked through the lobby, Lilly looked around, hoping that she wouldn’t run into Fraser. It was inevitable, she’d have to face him at some point soon, but right now, she wasn’t in the mood for it. All she wanted was to lay in bed with Sam, maybe a little love and then to have an afternoon nap in his arms.

“My parents are playing tourist at the moment.”

“Does that mean that you’re free to devote all your attention to me?”

Sam pressed the card to the reader, nodding as he gave Lilly a smutty smile. The elevator whisked them up to the tenth floor, with a ping the doors opened. Lilly put on her brave face and followed Sam to his room. The corridor was empty, ahead there was a door open. The closer they got, the more noise could be heard. It sounded like a game was being played, the cheers and hoots were loud.

Quietly, Sam pressed the card against the reader and opened the door. Lilly slipped into the room and pulled her jacket off again. The gentleman that Sam was, took it from her and hung it in the cupboard. Lilly wandered into the room, sighing as she sat on the edge of the bed.

“Did you want to sleep or something?”

“I’ll take the something, then the sleep.”

Sam began to undo his buttons, already eager for their love. Lilly slid the zip of his pants down, popping the button. As the clothes hit the floor, she pulled him into her mouth. Slowly sliding her lips over the shaft, remembering how good it was to give Sam oral pleasure. He loved every single second of it, the soft breaths, the gasps, and moans.

His fingers traced behind her ear, scraping through the hair to the back of her head. As her hand wrapped around the thickness, it slid through the slipperiness and followed the path of her lips.

“Damn you’re so good at that,” Sam mumbled.

He stepped back, knowing that if he let her, Lilly would keep going until he finished. As fun as it sounded, Sam wanted other things at the moment.

Piece by piece, Sam removed each item of clothing and shifted Lilly further onto the bed. He couldn’t see anything beyond the belly but that was okay, Lilly was vocal enough to tell Sam how good he was. Dipping between her legs, Sam slid the tongue over the skin, teasing touches that made her body quiver.

Lilly gripped the linen, feeling the ecstasy rise quickly. It had been far too long, Sam needed to be in her bed every night, not just the fleeting moments they were living at the moment. She missed him so much, and she would remember that every time she looked across the empty bed. Every time the baby kicked or moved, she’d remember that he was in another country.

It was going to get better, they just had to be patient.

Her grip tightened as the ecstasy peaked, Lilly moaned loudly.

Outside the door, a wry smile crossed Austin’s face. A sly signal was given, and three giggling women ventured out of the elevator. They scampered through to the corridor, hurrying through the door when Austin opened it for them.

It was an unofficial agreement that the competition would stop while they were on break, but Austin knew that this wasn’t a break, not really. They had a performance tonight and interviews tomorrow, they were still technically working. So, while the other bands enjoyed their holiday and relaxed, Austin kept the competition going.

“Ladies, let’s get naked. I’m so fucking horny, and we’re on a time limit here.”

He wasn’t, but he wanted them out the door before anyone realized that he was still playing the game. They’d have their company tonight as well, it was a possibility that the other band members would add to their collection. It would be discussed, that much was certain. Austin knew that they’d talk about it and of course, the possibility of continuing while they were here. Last tour, they’d gone home for the holidays so, they weren’t really on tour. This time, it was different, and Austin wasn’t prepared to sit back and let the days pass without pushing that number higher.

Clothes were tossed aside, and within the minute, three stunning women were naked on his bed. Austin stripped off, put on a condom and found the first of his lovely conquests. She was tight, making all the more better. Gripping her hips, Austin pounded hard while her groans were muffled by the divine woman she was pleasuring. He watched them, the other hovered over the woman sprawled out on the bed, moaning as she licked her. Her fingers toyed with the woman’s breasts, Austin lost it.

He groaned, feeling the pleasure shoot through him. Girl on girl has always been a firm favorite, seeing them find ecstasy with their own gender was thrilling.

Finding the lipstick, Austin wrote on the girl’s torso. One photo later and he was a happy man.

“One down, so many more to go.” He murmured.

The list was long, the photo gallery was filled with pure smut. Months of sleaze, debauchery at its worst. He sat on the lounge, flicking through the endless stream of pictures. Deep within him, he could feel the yearning for something different, something better.

  Chapter 22

The awkwardness was at an all-time high. Rather than going to the performance with Sam, Lilly opted to stay at the hotel. She’d done this to ensure that he could land some pretty ladies and boost the numbers. The only condition that she’d placed on him was that he brought dessert home for her. She had her wish list and delighted that Sam was determined to fill it.

As for the awkwardness, that was the night ahead of her. She was having dinner with Sam’s parents. Sam hadn’t told them there was a chance that the kid could be Fraser’s. Lilly knew that he wasn’t planning on tell them either. He didn’t want them to think less of Lilly, she only did it to get another moment in Sam’s bed rather than be kicked out the door with the other groupies.

So now she was sitting in the restaurant, eating dinner and trying not to dwell on the fact that she’d made the wrong choice about tonight. Well, almost wrong. Getting to know his parents was a bonus, not getting sex again was a depressing thought. The only consolation was that Sam was going to bring a pretty lady back to the hotel for her.

The baby shifted, Lilly grimaced and continued to eat her dinner.

  “Everything okay?”

She looked up at Angie and smiled.

“Fine, thanks. The baby’s just active at dinner time.”

  And n
ot because Lilly had spent the afternoon having sex with Sam. The baby was awake and ready for a kicking good time.

Angela smiled at Lilly, she couldn’t believe how lovely Sam’s girlfriend was.

“Have you and Sammy discussed the future?”

Lilly shrugged uneasily, glancing at Tom. He was a quiet man, Sam was definitely like his father. Aside from the fact that they looked like each other, they had very similar personalities. Angela was a bright spark, she lit up the room with her infectious laughter and warm personality. Tom was just as amiable, but he was quiet. He’d engage anyone in a conversation, but he’d prefer an intimate conversation.

“We’re not really sure at the moment. I’ve just moved in with my sister in London. It’s temporary until Sam comes off tour. My parents keep hinting at the fresh country air.”

  Angela smiled warmly at Lilly.

“That would be lovely. Tom and I have talked about our own future and what we want for our lives. We don’t want you or Sammy torn between the two countries and your family. There is, of course, Sam’s job.”

Lilly nodded with a vague smile.

  “Are you working still?”

“I quit. The job was only supposed to be temporary anyway. Given the current circumstances, I decided that a change of scenery was a good idea. I didn’t want to be that far away from my family once the baby was born,”

She shrugged, putting the cutlery on the empty plate.

“My sister needed a new flat mate, so I jumped at it. Temporarily of course. She doesn’t want a screaming kid keeping her awake of a night.”

  Angela chuckled as she nodded.

“Yes, they are little sleep deprivers.”

Lilly smiled softly, watching as the waiter appeared to collect their plates. With dinner over, the three of them returned to their floor. For the holidays, Sam had managed to get two levels worth of rooms, both were restricted access. The hotel locations were never advised, but somehow, the fans would figure it out. Locking floor access was necessary.
