She Used to Be the Sweetest Girl Page 10

by Briann Danae

“Mm, you taste so good,” she moaned out, looking him dead in the eyes. Rule one in snatching a man’s soul.

Pushing Shemel back onto the couch, Reilyn stood and stripped from her clothing. Leaving nothing on like she owned the place, she went right back to blessing him. Bobbing her head up and down and rotating her hands in the process had Shemel on the verge of busting. Not wanting to get his before sliding up in her, he ushered for her to get on top. After placing the condom on she pulled from his pants pocket, she slid down on his pole with ease. Smacking her ass, Shemel let out a low groan and bit his lip. She was so wet he had to focus his attention on something else quick.

Rap lyrics, cotton candy, them new J’s coming out, my mama’s birthday next month, shit. He said all this in his head and was good until Reilyn squeezed her tight muscles around the tip of his dick. Pounding into her, Shemel smacked her light bright ass turning it red instantly.

“Shit, this dick is good!” Reilyn hissed, pulling on his dreads. She had already came once and was ready to get her another one.

Not wanting to reply, Shemel just continued to stroke her. He knew his dick was good. That’s why she was acting so crazy. Good pipe will do that to ya. Feeling his nut rising, Shemel lifted her from his lap and snatched the condom off. Not needing to be told what to do, Reilyn began to give him head just like he liked it; sloppy. A minute later, he was shooting his seeds down the back of her throat. Licking her lips, Reilyn laid back on the carpet.

“That was good. Round two or did you still want to call Brix?” she grinned, while rubbing her foot against his semi-erect penis. It was a shame how hard he still was.

Shaking his head, Shemel replied, “Nah, let’s go get in the shower.” Not even realizing he just sealed the deal, they walked upstairs to partake in round two. Reilyn was as happy as could be. She had her man, while a pissed off Brix sat at home sulking.

Walking upstairs to start the shower, Shemel shook his head at Reilyn’s beautiful ass jiggling. That was probably the main thing he liked about her, besides her amazing head. That wasn’t all though. They had somewhat grew a bond over the last two years in a weird sort of way. Reilyn liked Shemel for his status at first, but seeing how much of a gentleman he was, it changed her views quick. She had actually fallen in love with him and was messed up over it. When Shemel wanted to be with her, she was still stuck in her childish ways as he called them and missed out on a great opportunity. Reilyn wanted nothing more than to be his main girl, but had blown those chances long ago.

He had always told her, the super jealous type was not his thing. If he was fucking with her, she would know for sure, and there would be no need to act out. That went in one of Reilyn’s ears and out the other. She didn’t know what chill meant when it came to him. The previous guys she dated or fooled around with were nowhere on his level. Money-wise, yes. But were they really her type? No. She dated them for the funds and to make her father look good in the media.

After a while, she stopped caring about an image to uphold and did what she wanted to do. She had tried on several occasions to have Shemel meet her father, but her dad wasn’t feeling him. He wanted his precious little girl to date one of the players from the baseball team. Until then, he wasn’t approving of anyone. Not even Shemel.

Stepping into the shower together, Reilyn began to kiss Shemel’s neck. With his dreads hanging and eyes low from counting money all day and making moves, Shemel let her. Even though she irked his nerves majority of the time they were together, he couldn’t front on having some type of feelings for her.

Reilyn always looked out for him, making sure he was good while in the studio all night. She would make sure his house was clean when he came home, ask how his day was going, and simply doing what a girlfriend would do. There was only one problem, and that was her childish, spoiled ways. If only she could mature in that one area, Shemel would have cuffed her. He finally realized that, no matter your age, if you were not mature and act your age that’s just who you were. No need in trying to change someone.

After showering and watching YouTube videos of rap battles, Shemel laid down. Not far behind was Reilyn cuddling up next to him. Same shit, just a different day. On the outside looking in, you would think they were a couple. That was not the case at all. They just had a routine. They were comfortable with each other and their little situation worked.

It was going on nine o’clock and Shemel wanted to get a few hours of sleep in before hitting the streets. Late nights and early mornings were his favorite times to be out. The feigns were either just waking up, or just getting started for the night shift. Forgetting his phone was downstairs, he drifted off to sleep.

On the other side of town, Brix rang Shemel’s line, only to keep getting the voicemail. Reilyn had put his phone on do not disturb without him knowing and it was pissing Brix off. Not only did he leave her with a damaged vehicle, but he had failed to check on her. To her, he did seem a little upset when he left, but not enough to ignore her. It was bugging her because Carissa was in her ear saying it was some groupie chick hating and she had already told Shemel she wasn’t for the drama, especially not this early into them talking.

Brix didn’t have the time nor patience to deal with unnecessary drama. It had never been her thing and it wouldn’t start to be. After handing Carissa the comb, she decided to send Shemel a text. She was getting a twist-out put in her head and was glad somebody else was doing it for her. Having natural hair had is pro’s, but baby did it have its con’s as well.

“Why are you about to text him?” Carissa asked, looking over Brix’s shoulder.

“Because, he’s not answering his phone and I’m getting annoyed.”

“You need to get something shit. Yo damn car out there looking like it belong in a junk yard and you in here as calm as can be,” Carissa said shaking her head.

Even though hours had passed since the incident, she was still hot. Nobody fucked with her best friend and got away with it. She knew Brix wasn’t the confrontational type on things she couldn’t control, but still. The fact was one of Shemel’s little groupies had fucked with her personal belongings. Carissa wasn’t going to get over it until she found out who was behind the petty act.

“I know that Carissa. I mean, what more do you want me to do? It’s not like I know who did it.”

“And Shemel does? You blowing him up like he can do anything.”

“It’s not about him doing anything, which he already offered to do. It’s about him keeping his word. This mess is already starting off on a bad note,” Brix said, sighing heavily.

  “This shit,” Carissa corrected her.

  “What?”

“Not this mess. This shit is starting off horribly, and I hope he figure it out before we be cutting him off like his best friend. All of what happened today is a bunch of bullshit.”

Chuckling, Brix smiled for the first time in a few hours. She was so down and out about her car, that she had a permanent frown on her face. Hearing Carissa complain about Pierre made her laugh. She was always complaining about missing him, but would never text or call him. She couldn’t have missed him too much.

“I’m not cutting him off. I mean, he did offer to buy me a car,” Brix said, with a shrug of her shoulders.

“Mhm, I’d take the car and still cut his ass off. What does a car mean nowadays? Niggas always trying to buy their way out of something. A sincere apology would suffice right along with some head and a little catering.”

Nodding in agreeance, Brix replied. “He apologized and hugged me while I cried. I guess that’s good enough. I don’t know about the head part though,” she whispered.

  “And why not?”

“We haven’t went that far yet. I don’t want him to think that’s all I’m good for.”

“What you trying to say?” Carissa said, popping her in the head with the comb.

“Ouch girl,” Brix said chuckling. “I didn’t mean nothing by that. All I’m saying is if we have sex, it’ll
change things. Especially for me, if it’s good.”

“You have to at least let him eat you out Brix. Don’t be stingy with it,” Carissa laughed.

“He was about to one time, but stopped like mid-way and just sat me back down. Like he lifted my whole body over his face,” she said biting her lip, reminiscing.

“Almost? Girrrrl, I would have smothered that man. You can’t play with my emotions like that. If you gone eat the pussy, eat it. Don’t play with it now.”

“You are too much I swear,” Brix said laughing.

“I’m just being straight up. It’s all good though boo. We gone let Shemel’s ass know we not about to play no games with him. You hear me?”

Nodding her head, Brix raised her hand to give her a handshake. In her mind, she knew she needed to let him know some things. One being how her ex up and disappeared so it made her a little clingy. She didn’t want to scare him off, but she also didn’t want to act like she didn’t care about him. That would be a lie.

Brix had already developed feelings for him and she was slowly but surely letting her guard down. That was until today’s incident. With the damage of her car and Shemel not returning any of her calls, Brix was already plotting on how she was going to leave him alone. She didn’t want to, but she knew deep down he had the ability to hurt her. She wasn’t prepared to go that route again, so before she’d let him any further into her life, she’d cut him off. No explanation, no warning, and no farewell.

Pulling into the Galleria Mall, Reilyn adjusted her sunglasses. It was the weekend and her Neka, Raven, and a few others planned on stepping out for the night. A group of guys from Kansas City, called LJT were hosting a party at Club 210 and it was going to be popping. Anywhere they went, they were sure to bring the city out and Reilyn would definitely be in attendance.

It had been one week since she vandalized Brix’s car, and so far everything was cool, except the fact that Shemel was back on his bullshit. Ignoring her, only answering when he felt like it, and straight up disregarding their deal. Reilyn didn’t think the task was that hard. He was basically getting the girl he wanted and something on the side. Reilyn’s plan was to eventually not have him worrying about Brix. She just knew he would be all for her little scheme, but she should have known better. Shemel was smarter than that.

“Okay, so what you plan on wearing tonight?” Neka asked excitedly. She hadn’t been out since they hit the club for the performance. Having a five-year-old son prevented her from hanging out much, but when she did, Neka was sure to act a fool. Main reason for her having a child now.

“I have my outfit. I only came to shop and for y’all to grab something,” Reilyn replied, hitting the lock to her car.

“We honestly didn’t have to come to the mall, hell. I could have found me something in your closet. All those clothes you got with the tags still on them,” Raven said, not really wanting to spend any money. She had bills to pay, a gas tank that needed to be filled, and groceries to buy. Copping a new fit for the club was not in her budget for the week.

“Nope. We not having that. Last time I let you in my closet, it took you almost two months to return something. Speaking of which, I still haven’t got my Jimmy Choo’s back,” Reilyn said frowning. Raven honestly didn’t care though. Those heels had been sitting in the trunk of her car since she took them off that night. It wasn’t like she stole the girl’s shoes. She simply had forgotten all about them.

“And I will gladly return them when you drop me off,” Raven replied, with a roll of her eyes. She couldn’t stand Reilyn’s bougie ass sometimes.

“Y’all two need to quit. We planning to turn up tonight without the petty shit. Now let’s go, because y’all know I take forever to find an outfit,” said Neka chuckling.

Reilyn walked in front of them, texting on her phone. Neka looked over at Raven and told her she’d buy her an outfit and not to worry about paying her back. The two weren’t really that close, but Neka would look out for her when Reilyn was on some funny acting shit. Like today.

Heading to Urban Outfitters first, the crew looked through the racks of clothes not really finding anything to grab their attention. A few pieces here and there, but nothing worth stepping out in. They did purchase a few items for everyday wear and walked out.

Smacking her lips at the text she just received from Shemel, Reilyn shoved her phone inside her purse. She asked if they could meet up before she went out and he told her no because he was chilling with Brix. That had been his answer for the last week or either he was busy. At first, it was all about the sex, but then Reilyn realized this could be her chance to get him back for good. With her plan not going as smoothly as she thought it would, she began to plot on her next move.

“What you over there huffing and puffing about?” Neka asked.

“Girl. Shemel’s ass. He is really starting to get on my last nerve for real.”

“What you do this time?” Neka asked, already knowing it was Reilyn’s fault for the way Shemel treated her and she couldn’t blame him.

“Nothing I shouldn’t have done. You know, just damaged his little girl friend’s car,” she said shrugging her shoulders.

“Wait, what? He has a girlfriend?” Neka asked, as Raven shook her head. All this was messy to her.

“Bitch no. It’s some little chick he been fooling around with. I messed her car up while she was at work and told him I did it.”

“And why would you do that? That girl can report you to the police,” Raven said.

“With what evidence? Shemel isn’t going to tell her because we made a deal, but he’s not holding up his end of the ship.”

“What kind of deal Rei? You always into something,” Neka asked laughing.

“He wanted me to pay him so he could fix the car, but what the hell I look like? So instead I gave him the option to be at my beck and call whenever and he wouldn’t have to tell her what happened. I wouldn’t have to pay any money. He was really going to tell her until I stopped him.”

“And how is that working out for you? It looks like he’s ignoring you,” Raven said sarcastically. She knew just how to piss her off.

Not having a comeback, Reilyn just mumbled whatever and kept walking. She knew he was ignoring her and didn’t need anyone to make it any clearer. Chuckling, Neka continued walking as well. She low key loved to see Reilyn upset over Shemel. It was so funny to her because Reilyn would always complain about Shemel, but all along had dudes on the side.

Heading toward Nordstrom for a better selection, the girls saw a group of males walking out the store. Fixing the frown on her face, Reilyn smiled at the group, making eye contact with one guy in particular. Sighing, Raven crossed her arms. She was not in the mood to be dealing with some hood niggas. All she wanted was an outfit and a nap before the night got started.

“How y’all ladies doing?” One guy asked. He was alright looking, nothing to be geeked about.

“Fine and you,” Neka said speaking up.

Vino, the young rapper stood back eyeing Reilyn. He and his crew slid to the mall to cop some fits for the party tonight as well. He wasn’t big on going out, but decided to turn up with his people. It wasn’t everyday niggas was out here making it in the rap game, so they were going to celebrate whenever they could.

The tight denim, which looked like it was painted on, had Reilyn’s hips poking. Her fat camel toe didn’t go unnoticed by them either. It was the first thing that caught all of their attention, before focusing on her face. Not realizing Vino was staring at her, Reilyn continued to hold her gaze on the handsome, but gritty male in front of her. Feeling like eyes were burning through her, she finally turned and grinned at Vino.

“You’re that rapper right?” She asked him.

  “Yeah, that’s me.”

Licking her lips, she looked over his attire. Black Jordan sweatsuit on, with some Retro 11’s to match. At 5’11, with a fresh fade, and diamond-studded earrings blinging from both ears, Vino was
a good look. Let’s not forget to mention his gentle eyes and baby face features which fit him well for twenty-one years old. His brown skin was smooth with a few bumps, but none the less fine. You could tell he was confident too. Young nigga, on his shit but not cocky with it. Somewhat like Shemel and Reilyn instantly took a liking to him. For what reason besides him being cute, she didn’t know, but would find out.

“Hmm, cute,” she smiled at him. All the other men began to laugh at her calling him cute.

“Cute? Nah sweetheart, I’m grown. You gone have to come better than that,” Vino told her, while looking over her friends. Setting his eyes upon Raven, who still had her arms crossed, he gave her a gentle smile. Raven thought he was a cutie, but of course, Reilyn called dibs first without really calling dibs. This is how it always went, regardless if the guy were interested in one of her friends. She’d persuade them into thinking she was something she really wasn’t just so none of her friends could claim they talked to him. Selfish shit.

“You fine or whatever. Look a little young though,” Neka told him.

“Age ain’t nothing but a number,” Raven voiced, causing all the men to focus their attention on her. With a shrug of her shoulders, she said “What? It’s not.”

“Nah, it’s not at all. I’m Vino by the way. Y’all ladies stepping out tonight?”

“Sure is. Will we see you there?” Neka asked, pulling her hand away from one of the guys trying to get her attention.

“Yeah, we’ll be there shorty. Why you acting like a nigga can’t get your number though,” Dell, Vino’s cousin asked.

Turning in his direction, Neka looked him up and down. A little on the chubby side, but was alright looking. He reminded her of Kevin Gates without all the tattoos. Shit, he kind of looked like her baby daddy now that she thought about it.
