Breaking Into Love (Alpha Enforcer Squad Book 3) Page 6

by Lacey Thorn

After a quick cleansing, we fell back into bed for a few hours of rest, but none of us wanted to let time slip by. I awoke with Tor over me, moving within me, while Webb lay beside us and watched lazily. We all shared kisses, touches, and when I came, Tor flew with me.

When he moved off me, Webb took his place. Where Tor had been slow and easy, Webb fucked at a frantic pace, as if he could brand himself beneath my skin if he tried hard enough. We ate at each other’s mouths, and he left sucking bites along my neck that I knew would leave marks on my skin. I scored his back, leaving a trail of my own.

When morning came, none of us moved to get up. Instead, we turned to each other. I lay on my side, facing Tor with Webb cuddled behind me. Tor urged me to lift my leg over his hip, opening me to him. I could tell by Webb’s slick fingers as they traveled between my ass cheeks that he’d already lubed his cock.

Tor kissed me, his fingers playing over my clit while Webb fingered my anus, pushing a finger inside and moving it around as he spread the lube from him to me. He trailed kisses along my spine, and between the two of them, I relaxed.

Webb nudged against me first, fingers replaced by the head of his cock. Tor plunged two fingers inside my pussy while continuing to rub my clit.

  “How’s that feel, baby?”Webb asked.

“Mmm,” I moaned, pushing back into him. His cock lodged inside me, stretching and burning as it parted me and pressed deeper. I gasped as the burn pulsed into pain, making me catch my breath.

“Breathe, honey,” Tor whispered, peppering my face with kisses while his fingers drew me away from the burn and back to the pleasure. “Focus on me while Webb gets adjusted.”

I gasped again as Webb tugged the length of his cock free until only the head lodged inside the opening. He surged back in without pause, and I straddled the cusp of pleasure and pain as he did.

“Let me help you,” Tor said and slipped down my body until his breath tickled my clitoris. He sucked and fed while Webb continued fucking. My body thrummed with pleasure. It was everything I’d imagined and so much more.

I came with his tongue rubbing over my clit and his fingers buried deep. Webb growled behind me, his grip tightening on my hips, and I imagined I’d have bruises.

“Fucking hurry up, Tor, or I’m coming without you,” Webb ordered.

Tor moved back up my body, his cock sliding easily through my cream.

“Hold onto me,” Tor urged, and I gripped his shoulders as he pumped his cock inside my body.

I panted, overwhelmed. I was filled beyond capacity, my body screaming as it tried to adjust to having both of them within me.

“Now,” Webb commanded, and thrust by thrust, I bent to their will.

Every stroke consumed me. Every touch sank far beneath my skin, touching the very essence of my soul. I wanted, and I took, giving to them in turn. We burned brighter than a nova as we crested the peak together and flew like meteoroids tumbling through space.

I hid my face in Tor’s chest in the aftermath, trying desperately to hide my tears. I couldn’t stop them. In that moment, something within me broke. Perhaps, it was me coming to terms with the fact this was all ending. In a few hours, I’d be left at an outpost while Tor and Webb headed out on their next assignment. We’d all put this behind us and move forward. Eventually, it would be no more than a shadowy memory we’d barely remember.

Only, I knew better than that. I’d never forget my time with my two alpha Enforcers. I’d treasure this always, and in my loneliest moments, I’d revisit them in my mind.

  Chapter Ten

I forced myself to smile as Tor and Webb left me at the outpost. Tor looked troubled. Webb just appeared pissed and made no attempt to disguise it. He jerked me to him before he stepped out, possessing my mouth and leaving me shaking when he finally pulled away. Tor ran a finger down my cheek and kissed me softly, slowly, then followed Webb out the door. I was left to watch, fake smile plastered on my face as I stared holes into their backs.

The Liege Commander would be here in a few hours, and I’d be escorted back to the space station I’d called home all my life. Once, I’d never thought of leaving it. Now, the last thing I wanted was to go back.

  “Mandy, there you are.”

A woman stepped into the room. She was slightly older, with thick blonde hair that hung around her shoulders and big, bold green eyes.

“I’ve been waiting to meet you.”

“I’m sorry. Do I know you?” I asked, already certain that I didn’t.

“No, but you work for my husband, Liege Commander Diamato,” she informed me. “And we have a mutual friend. Well, actually, two now.”

  “You’re the Commander’s wife?”

“I am,” she said and waved me over to sit down with her. “Let’s get comfortable, dear. The others will join us soon.”

  “Is the Commander already here?”

“Well, he’s on his way. I left earlier today, while he was in a meeting. I’m afraid he’s a little upset with me and didn’t plan to let me come. You see, I sent Webb and Tor to pick you up and bring you here. They’re good boys. I knew I could trust them to look out for you. My husband, however, wasn’t willing to see reason.”

I bit my bottom lip to hide a laugh. This woman seemed totally incorrigible. I imagined she kept the Commander on his toes.

“I’m Tessa, by the way. Tessa Diamato, and it’s lovely to finally meet you.”

“It’s nice to meet you, too, ma’am.”

I still wasn’t sure why she’d had Tor and Webb bring me here, but my gears turned as I tried to piece it all together.

“Your son is in a triad with Emma,” I said, and Tessa nodded eagerly.

“Yes, I’ve been lucky enough to meet her a few times, though my husband nearly loses his mind every time I come here. I keep telling him that if he doesn’t feel I’m safe here, he should appoint a set of Enforcers he trusts to oversee it. This is our first real outpost here, but we need to grow our presence if we ever hope to make this dimension safe again,” Tessa said, and I realized she was smarter than I’d thought.

  “I’d agree with you, ma’am.”

“Please, call me Tessa. Ma’am makes me feel practically ancient. Plus, I get enough of it from the Enforcers who always surround my husband.”

There was a commotion in the hall, and Tessa came to her feet. “That’s either my husband come to yell at me or my son here to greet me. We’ll hope for the latter for now.”

Two men filled the doorway. I remembered Emma hooking up with them before she’d left to become part of her triad in the Alpha Enforcer Squad program. They were in their uniforms just as they’d been that night, and not much had changed about them as far as I could see. It was easy to distinguish one of them was Tessa’s son. He shared his mother’s blond hair and green eyes.

“Heath! Dracon!” Tessa called and held her arms wide.

They stepped inside and headed straight to her, but my eyes were on the door. I knew if they were here then Emma couldn’t be far behind. I wasn’t disappointed. She filled the doorway, standing tall and proud in her Enforcer uniform, her long, black hair caught back in a quetchin. Immediately, I noticed there was now an AS by the tiger emblem on her shirt.

I squealed and burst into tears. I couldn’t help it. It had been so long since I’d seen her. I couldn’t close the distance fast enough, launching myself at her and clinging once we met. She was talking and I was talking, the words spilling over each other as we laughed and hugged.

“I can’t believe you’re here!” We both spoke at the same time then laughed again.

“Seems my mother thought you were missing your friends, Em,” Heath said as he, Tessa, and Dracon walked over to us.

“Oh, Soph will be here, too,” Tessa stated. “I might have sent something to her unit, asking them to meet here for a new assignment.”

“Mother,” Heath groaned. “Exactly how much trouble are you in?”

“Please,” she said with a flick of
her hand. “Your father will wave about and yell some, but I know his buttons. And exactly how to push them.”

“Shit,” Dracon muttered, while Emma and I laughed again. Heath shook his head, but I saw the smile pulling at his lips. I bet there was one hell of a story behind Tessa and the Liege Commander. I hoped she’d led him on a merry chase before agreeing to become his wife.

  “Emma! Mandy!”

Soph rushed through the door with three alpha Enforcers trailing behind her. I knew their names, too. Xanthus, the leader of the group, and Kain and Radek. I could tell by the way they watched Soph that she was loved. The huge smile on her face displayed how happy she was.

The three of us clung to one another, and surrounded by the women I thought of as sisters, I realized just how lonely I’d been since they’d left.

“What are you doing here, Mandy?” Soph asked.

“That would be me,” Tessa said with a wave.

“Hello, Mrs. Diamato,” Soph said. “It’s good to see you again.”

“You, too, dear. The last time the two of you visited me here, you talked about how much you missed Mandy. I thought it would be a great surprise to get her here for a visit.”

“Mom, you can’t just send Enforcers on personal errands for you,” Heath admonished.

“Of course, I can,” she informed him. “I’ve been doing it for years, honey. Your father can’t always see what’s right in front of him. So I move things until he can’t ignore them anymore.”

“I’m not sure what you mean by that, but I’m certain I don’t want to know,” Heath said.

“Let’s make the most of the evening,” Tessa encouraged. “I’ve ordered dinner for all of us. It will be here in an hour. I figured by then your father would be done blustering and we could all sit down and enjoy it.”

A giggle welled up inside me, and I tried my best to smother it with my hand. The more Tessa spoke, the more I adored her.

“So what have you two been up to?” I asked Emma and Soph as we settled on one of the couches.

“We’re both stationed here, now,” Emma told me. “Dracon, Heath and I stay in our shuttle, docked at the space station above the outpost. You probably saw it on your way here.”

I blushed and shook my head. I wouldn’t admit what I’d actually been doing on my way here. But getting a glimpse of a space station hadn’t even been on my mind. Luckily, my color was already high, and I didn’t think either of them noticed.

“The guys and I bounce between here and the space station above,” Soph filled me in. “We do recon in this quadrant, so we’re on the go a lot.”

I could tell how excited she was. Her Enforcer uniform also had the AS by the tiger symbol. As I glanced over at their men, I noticed they all had them. Command must have redesigned the emblem for the Alpha Squad members. I had to admit I loved it, and I loved seeing Emma and Soph in them.

“So what have you been up to?” Soph asked me.

I couldn’t really tell them about the code I’d been working on, so I filled them in on everything else, which reminded me to give Soph a smack.

“What’s that for?” she howled, rubbing her arm.

“That’s for making Miles think it was open season on Mandy!”

“You didn’t?” Emma gasped while Soph dissolved into giggles.

“I might have mentioned I didn’t want you to be lonely,” she managed to get out.

“It was awful, Soph. I couldn’t go anywhere without him popping up,” I admonished her.

“So you came here with Mrs. Diamato?” Soph said.

I shook my head. “No, she sent two alpha Enforcers after me. Actually, we thought the Commander had sent them to bring me here.”

“That must have been interesting. I hope they were nice,” Soph said.

“I sent Tor and Webb after her. I’m sure they treated her wonderfully,” Tessa said.

“You came here with Xantor and Dayes?” Soph exclaimed then glanced at Emma. “Did you know?”

“I found out just before we arrived here. Tessa called Heath and told him, so we’d meet them here.”

“Wow,” Soph mouthed. “What was that like? Are they as badass as I hear?”

“We’re all the badass you need to worry about,” one of Soph’s mates warned her.

She waved her hand at him. “Ignore Xanthus, and tell me all.”

I wanted to, but I was too raw. So I smiled instead, hoping it hid any pain that might linger in my gaze. “They were great. It was a quick trip here.”

Too quick as far as I was concerned. I missed Webb and Tor as if I’d lost a piece of myself. I was pretty sure I had. Still, I desperately clung to the happiness of seeing my soul sisters. There would be time enough to deal with the pain later.

“Great?” Emma questioned with a lift of her brow. “I’ve heard them described many ways, but never as great. Are you sure you’re okay?”

I nodded, swallowing the emotion that wanted to spill out. I’d never been good at keeping secrets from these two, not when it came to personal stuff. Thankfully, I was saved by the entrance of the Liege Commander. We all came to our feet immediately, all the Enforcers going to attention while I stood there. Tessa remained seated.

“At ease,” he said with a wave of his hand. “I see you hiding behind our son, Tessa.”

“I don’t hide, Adam. You, of all people, know that,” she admonished.

The Commander pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. “Officer Vectors, a word in private, please.”

“Yes, sir,” I agreed, instantly moving to follow him. I caught the look he threw his wife’s way and the saucy wink she threw back to him.

For some reason, seeing that play between the two settled my nerves. I only hoped he’d give me time to finish visiting with Emma and Soph before he sent me back home.

  Chapter Eleven

“About the code,” I began once we were settled in the office he’d escorted me to, but he waved me to silence.

“I sent a group to check it out as soon as I finished speaking with you. They pinpointed it to the edge of the Fifth Quadrant. Your Intel led us to discovering a female Enforcer we’d assumed had been killed or sold into the brothels. Turns out she found some allies, and they’ve been working on rescues, as well. Maybe, you’ll get a chance to meet her.”

“I’d like that, sir.” I knew exactly who he spoke of. She’d been one of the first female Enforcers paired up with two males. Unfortunately, the males hadn’t liked having her with them. They’d been ambushed while on patrol. Both men had been killed, and the woman had been taken. At least, that’s what had been assumed. I bet she had one hell of a story. I couldn’t wait to meet her—if I had the opportunity before I left.

“There’s another matter I’d like to speak to you about.” He glanced over me. “Have you had a chance to see much of the building here?”

I found that to be a strange question but still shook my head. “No, sir. Enforcers Dayes and Xantor escorted me in quickly before they left. They wanted to make sure I was protected.”

“I’m sure they took very good care of you,” he agreed and looked away, reminding me he’d seen me disheveled and wearing nothing but Tor’s shirt.

“Yes, sir. Have you seen them yet?”

“Yes, they’ve been reassigned. I’m here to speak with you. Are you in a hurry to get back to your home station, Officer?”

“No, sir. I’d like the chance to visit with Enforcers Certze and Burrelis, if I may, sir.”

“Of course, but I’d like to offer you another opportunity, if you’re interested.”

  “Sir?” I questioned.

“We’re fortifying our post here, building it up and increasing the numbers. I’d like to include an onsite intelligence office, and I’d like for you to head it up, Officer Vectors.”

I wouldn’t have to leave, and there might be a small chance I’d see Webb and Tor again.

  “Yes, sir, I’d like that.”

  “Good. As soon
as we’re done talking, you’ll meet with the Enforcers who will be taking over as post commanders here. They’ll want to go over a few things with you. Show you where you’ll be working and staying. We’ll send someone to pick up the rest of your things and bring them here. Hell, at this rate, I might be able to get Commander Certze to finally leave that station he calls home and join me at Command.”

I nodded, thinking chances were pretty good Emma’s dad would leave now that we were all gone. I knew he’d stayed because Emma, Soph and I had been there. We’d been his girls. He never would have left us or taken on a more demanding position than the one he’d already held.

  “Sounds good, sir.”

He pushed up from behind the desk, and I automatically rose with him. “I apologize for my wife’s interference in your life, Officer. I promise you she had good intentions.”

“I like your wife, sir,” I told him.

He snorted. “Everyone does. She has something about her.” His lips ghosted up in a smile. “Have a seat, Officer. The Commanders will be right in.”

I stayed on my feet until he left then dropped into the chair again. I was staying here in the Fifth Quadrant and heading up an intelligence office. I’d have the chance to spend time with Soph and Emma both. I’d be a part of building a stronger outpost here. Maybe, I’d get a chance to see those trees and bodies of water on the Fifth, if they still existed.

The door open behind me, and I surged to my feet once more, eyes facing forward as it closed behind me.

“Don’t just stand there, baby,” Webb’s voice commanded. “Get that ass over here and greet me properly.”

I spun around, eyes wide as I took in Tor and Webb standing there. I practically ran to them, flinging myself against Webb’s chest. He dropped his mouth on mine, and I drank him in before he passed me off to Tor and I was treated to the same from him.

“What are you doing here?” I asked when I was back on my feet. “I thought you’d been given another assignment.”

“We were,” Tor agreed. “Liege Commander Diamato made us an offer we couldn’t refuse.”
