“Yeah?” Frank nodded his head.
“Sure, anytime.”
“Thanks.”
Rex cleared his throat. “I also have a new gardener. I’m sure he would have the time to mow your yard while he’s here. I’m happy to tag it on to my bill.”
“Well, that’s very neighborly of you Rex. Thanks.”
“No problem.”
Frank watched him walk down the walkway and turn towards his house before closing the door. Frank grinned. Susan rides again. Her naive techniques were more valuable than any voodoo spell on the market.
He tapped lightly on the aquarium and watched the fish swim lazily from one side of the glass to the next. Must be nice to float around aimlessly all day. He thought about summer and looked forward to taking quiet dips in Robert’s pool when everyone was off doing their summer things.
He sat back down at his piano and smiled. He was still taken aback by Robert’s dropping the lawsuit. The family had been tested by a sea of mysterious mishaps except weird and wonderful miracles appeared and embraced them to return them physically and mentally safe and emotionally wiser bobbing to the surface every time. Another miracle, their lives were full of them.
