“I’m serious, Danny,” Lisa said, eyes filled with tears. “I don’t trust you being gone for days at a time.”

“It’s only for two days. I’ll be home as soon as it’s over,” Danny assured his wife. He moved in closer in an attempt to comfort her, but she backed away.

“I don’t want you going,” she said, and Danny bit his lip to keep from rolling his eyes.

Here we go again, he thought. If he didn’t handle this delicately, he would miss his flight to Barbados.

If only he hadn’t cheated that one, single time.

“I don’t understand why you have to go on these trips. And why don’t you ever take me with you? It doesn’t make any sense to me, Danny. God knows what you’ll be doing down there, with all those women wearing less than nothing and drinking and…”

“I can control myself, baby,” he started to say, “I love you…”

Lisa was having none of it. “The way you controlled yourself in New York City? If I had been there, you wouldn’t have looked at that girl twice. If only you’d take me with you, Danny…”

If only Danny could tell her that the reason he didn’t take her was her insane jealousy whenever she thought he was looking at another woman. She flew into rages, called him names, and sometimes – he was ashamed to admit – he regretted ever marrying her, beautiful though she was. He couldn’t help wondering if every woman reacted this way.

He’d been unfaithful once, and, despite his remorse, it had haunted him ever since.

Danny winced as his briefcase hit the wall. He hoped his netbook still worked. Next went his iPhone which shattered against the wall. He had his contacts carefully saved in Cloud; he’d pick up a new one at the airport.

He wondered if Alex would have thrown his briefcase at the wall or shattered his iPhone.

  ***

Alex was a travel agent from Chicago. When he met her, she’d been marching through La Guardia airport on her way to the hotel where their conference was to be held that year. The first thing he’d noticed was her hair – a brilliant shade of red. Despite the confident way she held herself and her obvious knowledge of her field, Alex’s face held an air of innocence, and her wide, dark grey eyes only enhanced the illusion. She was slender with long, shapely legs, and when he first saw her, she wore a white summer dress that seemed to hint that, with just a slight breeze, he just might catch a glimpse of where those legs led.

All week, he kept up a light flirtation with Alex. It was difficult not to – dancing one night, drinks another, an actual intellectual discussion (which rarely occurred with Lisa). She stimulated him, in more ways than one.

He dreaded the week’s end, and the final night seemed headed to be the worst. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to head home to his wife; it was simply that he knew he would miss Alex and the fun time they’d had.

That night was hot and uncomfortable. The A/C was cranked, and the beer was cold, but nothing seemed to help.

Until Alex tapped on his door.

She wore a white bathrobe and a smile.

“Hot, isn’t it?” she asked. “Want to go for a swim?”

Danny hesitated. She looked amazing; long hair drawn back in a pony tail, eyes wide and sparkling with invitation. Imagining that gorgeous body in a bikini had his dick already rising.

“C’mon, it’s just a quick swim, and I don’t want to go alone,” she begged.

“Sure,” he agreed. A swim did sound like just the thing to beat the heat. Logically. Danny did try to be logical. “Just let me change.”

He changed into trunks and followed Alex to the pool area, barefoot, while his mind raced with images of Alex wearing nothing but a bikini underneath that robe. He knew he wanted to fuck her, and tried hard to discard those images and replace them with Lisa, sweet Lisa who waited patiently for him at home.

The pool was abandoned, the only light the pale, bluish glow from the pool lights themselves. Danny’s resolve began to slip.

Alex wasted no time losing the bathrobe, and Danny swallowed, hard. She wore only a skimpy string bikini. With a few yanks, it would disappear. The curves of her breasts showed plainly over the top, and with a few adjustments, her nipples would easily slip out as well. She walked over to him, her curves glistening in the light.

“Ladies first,” he managed, gesturing to the water.

She smiled and slid slowly, sensuously into the water, gaze on him the entire time.

Danny caught himself. What was he doing?

“I’m going to stay out here,” he announced. “And keep you company from the deck.”

“Ah, please, Danny?” she pouted. “Come play with me.”

Danny knew exactly what kind of play she had in mind. He felt his dick rise. God, he wanted to. “I’m good here,” he said. He found a lounge chair and slouched onto it. He searched for anything to redirect his attention to and finally found himself studying the New York skyline, what he could see of it.

“Oh, Daaa-nneee,” her voice whispered low in his ears. He jumped. He had fallen asleep, and now Alex’s warm breath fell on his ear. He realized she straddled him and her mouth was less than an inch away from his ear. Before he could reply, her lips pressed down on his. He had planned to resist, but, caught off guard, he couldn’t. Her lips tasted like honey. Hot, sweet honey. She explored his mouth with her tongue, pouring passion into every movement while her hands roamed his naked shoulders and chest.

Danny found himself wanting more, and thoughts of resistance fled.

Her lips left his and lingered on the nape of his neck, sucking and licking her way down his shoulders. Slowly, her hand loosened the strings of his trunks. Her lips trailed down his body and stopped when she reached his hard cock. She groaned when she realized that he was hot, hard and waiting for her. He couldn’t resist letting out a sound of his own when she greedily fed his cock into her mouth. Her tongue lavished over him, sucking him from the bottom, to the top, flicking her tongue over his head.

She gave him several long succulent licks over his head, tracing the tip of the head with her tongue before taking it into her mouth suddenly. Her hand moved down his body and cupped his balls in her hand, slowly fondling each one. Another groan escaped him. He reached down to cup her breasts in his hands, slipping his fingers beneath the bikini top to massage her nipples into tight peaks. He felt her moan around his cock and couldn’t help thrusting upwards.

“God, Alex,” he managed, as she increased her rhythm and sucked his cock hard and long. Over and over her mouth consumed his full length, deep over her tongue and into her throat. His desire spurred her on. The more she sucked, the more intense his desire to fuck her became.

She finally released his cock and stood. Slowly, she untied her bikini and tossed it aside. He let out a groan as she mounted him, teasing his cock as she lowered herself, withdrew, and lowered herself slightly more. Finally, she pressed herself fully against him, and they both groaned in satisfaction. Her pussy was hot and wet, and she rocked her body back and forth as she rode him.

“Oh, yeah,” he heard himself say. “Fuck me, Alex, fuck me.”

She did. She rode his dick for what felt like hours while he begged her for more. She brought her lips to his hungry mouth and they kissed passionately while their bodies became one. Finally, he felt her tighten around his dick as she spasmed and her passion swept over her. He caught her scream of ecstasy with his mouth as she came long and hard.

Her orgasm triggered his and with one mighty thrust he spilled his cum into her tight pussy.

  He hug
ged her tightly to him as she collapsed onto his chest, and stared upwards at the night sky. He was still inside of her, and could feel her aftershocks as she occasionally clenched around his cock. Still in a haze of desire, he fell asleep.

When he woke a few hours later and looked at the beautiful redhead in his arms, he felt a mixture of shame, confusion, and lust.

What had he done? To his wife, to his marriage, to his life?

  ***

Lisa was crying. She always did after a tantrum like this. She knew he had to go, knew he loved her, knew he worked hard to take care of her.

“Go,” she sobbed. “But please, don’t forget me this time, Danny. Keep it in your pants, okay?”

Sighing, Danny picked up his shattered phone, his briefcase, and now, began gathering the clothes from his suitcase that she’d scattered all over the living room floor. He was going to be late, unless his taxi driver was extremely talented.

“I love you, Lisa,” he assured her with a kiss on her soft lips. “I always have. It’s only a few days, I’ll be back, and we’ll make love like bunnies. I won’t look twice at another woman, I promise. You’re my life.”

She smiled tremulously and watched him as he walked down the sidewalk to the waiting cab.

  ***

The flight to Barbados was a long one, and thanks to a rainstorm, turbulence rocked the small plane.

Not the ideal day for flying, he thought to himself as he fearfully gripped the armrest.

A petite blonde seated in the opposite row clucked at his reaction. As their eyes met, he gave her a warm smile and loosened his grip on the armrest. She unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped across the aisle and sat in the empty seat next to him.

“I hate the turbulence too,” she confided, leaning close.

“Great, I’ve got some company,” he said. “We can hold onto each other if anything happens.” A wicked little smile creased the corners of his mouth. He met her deep blue eyes directly.

“Don’t be silly. Nothing’s going to happen. We’ll be just fine,” she assured him warmly. There was something alluring about her. Maybe it was her perfect teeth that lit up her beautiful smile, or maybe it was simply her easy-going air. Danny could easily feel himself relaxing more in her presence.

  “I’m Isabella,” she said.

“Danny,” he replied, and they shook. Danny couldn’t help enjoying the feel of her soft hand in his, and took an extra moment before returning it to her.

“My best friend is getting married, and what better place than Barbados?” she asked. “How about you?”

“Scoping the place out. I’m a travel agent.”

“What a lucky job!” she exclaimed.

  “It can be,” he agreed.

“Next time I go on a trip, I’ll have to look you up. You look like the kind of man who would know just what to do with a girl.” She winked.

Danny swallowed. Was that a come on? He wasn’t sure anymore.

“I have to leave on Monday,” she continued, frowning. “Doesn’t seem long enough, does it?”

“I have to leave on Monday too,” he said. “And no, it doesn’t. What flight do you take out?”

They exchanged flight information, and as luck would have it, their flights were within a few hours of one another.

“Look me up while you’re here,” she suggested, and wrote down her name, number and hotel on a separate sheet of paper.

Danny sighed inwardly. He knew he wouldn’t be using the information anytime soon, although God knew he wanted to.

Upon landing, Danny hailed a taxi just outside the airport while Isabella met a group of friends who had been awaiting her arrival, including the lucky bride.

A light rain fell as Danny ducked into his taxi. He hoped he wouldn’t have to give the place low marks because of the weather. Soon, however, his fears were laid to rest. Despite the rain, the long drive to the hotel gave him ample opportunity to survey the island. With its green hills and roads lined with native mahogany trees, the island held an Old World charm.

His hotel was exquisite. It carried all the modern amenities with throwbacks to the island’s colorful history. The one bedroom apartment he had reserved was everything he could have hoped for. Through double French doors, a walkway meandered through a beautiful garden full of hibiscus, heliconia and blue lotus and dotted with small ponds, leading directly to the beach. Inside, the floors were a beautiful, polished teak, the ceilings exposed pickled pine beams, and the furniture sleek mahogany. The selling point, however, was the four poster king sized bed draped with gauzy mosquito netting. Danny knew he would be sleeping well at night. Though alone.

  ***

Danny realized the following day that booking his trip during monsoon season had been unlucky. The problem was that in Barbados, monsoon season lasted for six months, June through November - prime wedding and vacation time for Americans. Whether or not it would rain on any day was a roll of the dice.

The rain had intensified, and the wind blew so strongly that the tall palms outside swayed in the heavy wind. His workshop was cancelled; the trip had been for naught. Worse still, a hurricane was brewing in the Caribbean, which meant the possibility of a nasty tropical storm for the island. All flights out of Barbados were on stand-by.

The storm had completely fucked up communications; when Danny attempted a phone call home to Lisa, he had no reception.

A call from the front desk brought no relief. His call went straight to voice mail. Lisa had a habit of leaving her cell behind when she went out or letting the battery die completely.

He left a brief message and slammed the phone down in frustration.

“I apologize for the weather, sir,” said the receptionist.

“It’s not your fault,” he grumbled.

“Weather can get like this sometimes during hurricane season. We’re outside the hurricane belt, but we occasionally get sideswiped a bit. As soon as the storm passes, I can help you get a flight back home. The last flight just came in and the airport is closing down. It’s just a precaution. I’m sure everything will be fine.”

Sideswiped? What did she mean sideswiped? He had seen plenty of news bulletins about hurricanes, but he had never experienced so much as a severe thunderstorm. What if she was wrong and the hurricane hit the island directly?

“Is there a hurricane right now?” he asked, panic rising.

“Right now it’s just a tropical storm and it seems headed for Puerto Rico and Cuba. It will probably gather speed and strength as it travels, but we haven’t received an official warning yet.” She flashed a reassuring smile.

As he passed the bar on his way back to his suite, he caught sight of a familiar face.

“Isabella,” he greeted her as he passed through the door. “Fancy seeing you here!”

She turned, eyes lit up at the sight of him.

“Wow! Small island!” she replied. “Are you staying here?”

  He nodded. “You?”

“The whole party,” she confirmed. “Wedding’s off, though. No outdoor, surf and sand, white bikini ceremony for my best friend. It’s plan B.”

“I hear December is a better time to come,” he suggested.

  “I’ll let her know.”

Danny drew a stool next to her.

“What can I get for you, sir?”

“Whatever she’s having,” Danny answered, which turned out to be a rum punch, the island specialty.

They spent the next hour downing rum punches and exchanging bits and pieces of information regarding their personal lives.

“I’m a dental hygienist,” Isabella divulged in drunken giggles. “Can you believe it?”

Danny laughed. “Must be why you have such a beautiful smile.”

Isabella bit her lip a bit self-consciously and Danny loved it. He couldn’t help wanting to bite that lip too, and a curl of desire began to unleash in his core.

“Come up to my room,” she invited, as they left the bar. “I have a great little wet bar.

He was sorely tempted, and knew he should resist. But the combination of alcohol, her allure, and her teasing voice made following her too easy.

It didn’t take but two steps inside the door for Isabella to draw him close to her. She grasped his face firmly in both hands and captured his lips in a kiss that left him weak in the knees. Her tongue was hot and hungry and her hands wandered downwards to explore his body.

Danny found himself losing control. His tongue left her soft, ravishing lips and trailed downwards along the nape of her slender neck. She moaned in pleasure as she tilted her head back. Danny released the buttons of her blouse as his mouth traveled downwards, revealing a black lacy bra. Her full breasts spilled over, and he released them. She let out a soft moan as he took a nipple into his mouth and began licking and sucking the nipple until it peaked.

Danny’s dick throbbed, anticipating the moment he would thrust into her tight, wet pussy. He felt her hands linger along his crotch. She slowly drew his zipper downwards and slipped her hand into the opening. Her fingers explored his body, and he groaned as she took firm hold of his fully hard cock.

Her touch seemed to bring clarity to his alcohol-glazed mind.

Lisa. He had promised her that he would “keep it in his pants,” that he would remember her and not cheat. He had said he loved her, and, though she could be a jealous bitch sometimes, he really did.

“I’m sorry. I can’t do this. I’m married,” he blurted out, and stepped back.

“I don’t care,” she whispered, stepping closer. “I want you to fuck me, Danny.”

Danny had never met any woman this bold. She didn’t care that he was married? She only wanted to fuck?

Gently, he cupped her chin and brought her head up to meet his eyes. “Listen, Isabella. You’re beautiful, and God knows I want you, but I can’t do this to my wife. I made her a promise.”

The truth was, if he were going to cheat again, it would be with someone like Isabella. Someone young and bold and beautiful.

Knowing he would regret it as he lay in his lonely bed that night, Danny turned on his heel and walked away, towards his own room for a cold shower. He hoped his own mini bar was well stocked.
