I ignored her as I watched Kane and Drake stare each other down.
“No, you didn’t miss it. There’s not going to be a wedding. Thanks to your husband,” Drake said, and as soon as he finished his sentence he lunged at Kane.
Right there, on the church property, in an all-white tux, Drake and Kane were going at it.
I started to see blood and didn’t know where it was coming from, so I started to panic.
This could not be happening!
Today was my wedding day!
“Stop it! Damn it just stop!”
“What is he talking about Moe?” Jinx asked but I ignored her at the sight of Naomi coming up the sidewalk, heading in our direction.
Could this day get any worse?
Lee Lee and Vicki finally got the two men apart just as Naomi approached.
“It was only right that he knew the slut that he was about to marry. I was there that day while you were sleeping with my man. I was banging on the door and I stood back and waited to see who the bitch was that had been in there with him. And it was you. I was going to keep my nose out of it but I figured that Drake needed to know the truth about the so-called love of his life. After all, you’d screwed mine; the love of my life that is. Kane and I have been dealing with each other for years.”
“What?”
“I met him while his family sought financial advice on the restaurant and car lot and I guess you can say we have had dealings ever since, even while he was in prison. Kane is my daughter’s father and the father of the child that I’m carrying. First you went behind me with Drake and then with Kane. Ain’t it funny? You still ended up being the chick on the side,” Naomi smirked.
I saw the look on Jinx face as she stepped in front of Kane and held up her ring finger.
“And so are you,” she said to Naomi and stepped out of her shoes and started to take off her earrings.
Uh oh….
