You Are My Air: Breathless Book 1 Page 15

by Samantha Wolfe

"Like what?" I asked suspiciously.

"Well, you told me in great length how hot I am, how much you like having sex with me, and how good I am at it." His face was smug, his eyes dancing with humor. I felt my face flame red. "You also told me you loved my big cock and wanted to suck on it."

"I what?" I blurted in mortification.

"Then you tried to grope me in the car, and while I was undressing you, so I could put you to bed." He smiled up at me with a huge grin of enjoyment, and part of me wanted to slap him.

"Did...did we? I mean...did you?" I stumbled over my own tongue.

"No, Natalie," he said, his face softening as he shook his head. "We didn't have sex. I prefer to have it with someone who's awake and will remember it."

We looked at each other for several long moments, his eyes starting to darken as his gaze slid down my body. I was suddenly very aware that I was only in my bra and panties. I was also very aware that David was in my bed in nothing but his boxer briefs and looking absolutely gorgeous. The blankets had slid down when he sat up to pet George, and I stared at his perfectly sculpted upper body remembering what it felt like against me.

"Sorry, George," David said absently as he shoved my cat off the bed and onto the floor. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down onto the bed next to him, then rolled on top of me and looked at me with lust-filled eyes. "I remember someone promising me sex without a condom. I was wondering if I could take you up on that offer, if it still stands?"

"Yes," I breathed out as his scent alone overwhelmed me with desire.

"I wanted you so bad, Natalie, that when I went to bed last night, I couldn't sleep," he whispered seductively. "All I could think about was touching you and kissing you." He ran a hand down my side. His mouth came down on mine, hard and needy. His passion blew me away as his lips and tongue did amazing things to me, sending pleasure spiraling through my body.

"Do you want my big cock now, Natalie?" he said as he smirked down at me. "I know how much you love it."

I glared up at him. "You just couldn't let it go, could you?"

"Yeah, I might be beating this dead horse for a while."

"I'll beat you if you keep this up," I threatened him. He stopped me from saying anything else with his lips, kissing me senseless until I forgot I was irritated with him.

"What was that were you saying?" he whispered.

"Shut up and kiss me some more."

He chuckled and did as he was told. His right hand trailed down my body while his lips and tongue clashed with mine, making both of us moan and press our bodies closer. He swiftly pulled off my bra and panties. He didn't tease me at all as his hand found my clit and began stimulating it with firm circles of his fingertips. Just as I started to come, he thrust two fingers into me roughly, making me cry out with pain tinged pleasure that spiraled up and out of me in a rush. When I came back down, his boxer briefs were already off and his bare cock was pressing against my opening.

"I can't wait anymore," he practically whimpered with need. "I have to be inside you."

"Please, oh, please," I begged. I wanted him too, needed to feel the hot bare skin of his cock inside me with nothing at all separating us.

He pushed into me slowly, savoring it, I think, as his eyes rolled back and a deep groan came up out of his chest. The skin of his huge cock felt like hot velvet as he slid into me, filling me up so much it hurt a little, but I loved it. He paused when he finally bottomed out, his body trembling as he fought for control. Then he grabbed each of my hands and lifted them up above my head and held them there with one hand while he began thrusting in and out of me, another orgasm already building inside me.

"Fight me," he growled out between clenched teeth, his face intense and focused on mine.

I instantly obeyed, pulling and pushing against his grip on my wrists. It sent him into a frenzy, his eyes turning black and his thrusts becoming faster and harder and deeper. My release came out of nowhere, firing out from my core and engulfing me, sending blistering waves of pleasure shooting through me and making me shriek in ecstasy. He didn't slow down at all, his hips pounding into me. I screamed endlessly as I came again and again, one after another blending into the next until I felt like I might actually pass out.

"David," I moaned. "Please slow down, please. I can't...it's too much."

I felt his warm breath in my ear as his pace slowed. "Shh, it's okay. I'll slow down. Touch me, sweetheart." He instantly released my wrists, and I buried my hands in his hair. His mouth latched onto my neck, biting and sucking in rhythm with his slow deep thrusts. The pleasure was no less intense, but I could catch my breath now. "Wrap your legs around me," he whispered and when I did, his deep thrusts hit a new spot that ignited a white-hot fire inside me. I moaned and arched my back up off the bed as a massive orgasm hit me hard, making my insides clamp down on him.

David's breath stuttered to a halt, as his cock swelled and jerked inside me. I could feel his cock pulsing as jets of come filled me up inside. He sank his teeth into my neck, growling and worrying at my skin. The pain sent me into a tailspin as one more climax hit me, and I screamed his name repeatedly until we were both spent. After a few moments of heavy panting breaths, David lifted his head to look down at me, his eyes languid and filled with a tenderness I hadn't seen before.

  "Perfect," he whispered. "Absolutely perfect."

  **********

At noon, David pulled into the driveway of his mother and step-father's large house. It was a beautiful earth-toned brick home with dark trim. It had a four-car garage and was one story except for a small second story above the front door. The landscaping was simple yet elegant, and I liked it immediately. David turned off the car, and my heart rate spiked. I was so nervous my palms were sweaty, and I wiped them absently on my jeans. David grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze then held my hand tightly.

"I was going to tell you not to be nervous," he said as he stared at the house. "But I'm feeling nervous myself."

"Why are you nervous?" I asked him curiously. He turned and looked at me with a sheepish expression.

"I kind of didn't tell Mom I was bringing you with me."

"Are you kidding me?" I blurted out in disbelief as I glared at him. "You're springing me on your family?"

He looked away from me with a pained expression. "I'm sorry, Natalie. I didn't know how to tell her. I haven't brought anyone home since...since Paige. I...I was going to tell her when I called her last night, but I just couldn't get the words out. I don't...I don't even know why. I'm sorry. I don't want you to think it's a reflexion on you, or that I'm ashamed of you."

I wanted to stay angry at him, but I had never seen him so vulnerable or out of sorts like this before. It was my first real glimpse at how much this woman had hurt him and messed him up. He just sat there staring at the steering wheel with a lost look on his face, and I think a hint of the fear he'd been carrying around about us. I let out a deep sigh. "Well, we're in it now. I guess we'll just wing it."

He looked back at me in surprise. "You're not angry?"

"Well, I'm not happy about it," I admitted in exasperation. "But it's not like we can do anything about it now." My irritation started to color my words.

"This isn't like me," he said ruefully with a shake of his head, "but it's been so long since I've had to do any of this, that I'm feeling kind of lost here."

"It's okay, David." The last of my ire just faded away. "I may not understand exactly what you've been through, and I know this isn't easy for you, but I know you're trying to make this work."

He gave me a wan smile and nodded, before releasing my hand. "Ready?" he asked.

"Yeah," I said reluctantly, earning myself another apologetic look before he got out of the car and came around to open my door. He gave me a hand to help me get out of the vehicle, and I ended up standing right in front of him, our bodies touching.

His face looked pained again as he placed a gentle hand on my cheek and pressed a soft kiss to my lips. "I'm really sorry, swee
theart," he whispered as he pulled back.

"I know." I softened my annoyed tone with a smile. "You can drop it now."

He looked like he was about to say something more, but bit his lower lip instead and finally nodded. I took his outstretched hand and let him lead me up the sidewalk to the front door. David opened the unlocked door and walked right in with me in tow behind him.

"Mom?" he called out as I glanced around the large foyer that stretched up to a high ceiling above me. There was a feature wall of earth-tone stones directly across from the door with a set of stairs to the right. The other walls were painted a warm beige with white trim, and the floor was a gorgeous dark-brown tile laid in a Chevron pattern across the floor.

A diminutive middle-aged woman with shoulder length dark curls entered through a doorway to the left. She was wearing jeans and a red button-down shirt. Her kind blue eyes looked at David then landed on me, widening in surprise as a huge grin spread across her face. I took that as a good sign.

"Mom, this is Natalie." David motioned toward me. His eyes looked uncertain as they moved to mine.

"Natalie, this is my mother, Aleta."

"Hi," I told her brightly, reaching out to shake her hand. "It's nice to meet you." Aleta gripped my hand firmly.

"Hi, Natalie." Her voice was calm and smooth, reminding me of David's voice. "Welcome to our home."

"I hope you don't mind that I brought Natalie without warning you, Mom," he told her apologetically. "It was kind of a last-minute decision."

"I don't mind at all, sweetheart." She smiled knowingly at her son. "We've got plenty of food for one more. Come one in."

David ushered me ahead of himself with a hand at the small of my back. I followed Aleta into the middle of a large open floor plan living area with a sitting area on the left and a dining table on the right. The room was decorated similarly to the foyer except for the gorgeous dark hardwood floor. We passed a large fireplace on the right, and on the right ahead of me, I could see the kitchen over a long counter separating it from the dining area.

A slender man dressed in khakis, and a black sweater walked in from the kitchen and froze when he saw me. He was attractive with short dark graying hair and kind gray eyes. He looked stunned for a second before a smile lit up his face, and he approached me.

"Hi, I'm Joe." He offered me a hand, and I shook it.

"I'm Natalie." I smiled at him, thinking that things were going better than I had expected.

"David, I didn't know you were bringing a friend today." Joe looked at David with a huge smile. David shifted back and forth on his feet looking embarrassed, which almost made me laugh. I didn't think he could get embarrassed.

"Surprise," I said, trying to help David out. I'd never seen him at a loss for words like this before.

Joe laughed at that. "Well, I'm glad you're here, Natalie. We've got plenty of food for everybody."

I heard a door open and glanced to my left. An older woman was just walking into the room through a nearby door. She was small in stature with short gray curls, and she was wearing charcoal slacks and a light pink sweater. She paused when she looked at me, her sharp blue eyes moving to David and noticing his hand still resting on the small of my back. A slow smile crept across her wrinkled features.

"David," she began in a thick accent, that I realized must be Ukrainian. "Who is this you brought with you?"

"Baba." David's demeanor suddenly transformed as he smiled at this tiny woman, his eyes lighting up with warmth and adoration. "This is Natalie."

"Hello, Natalie. I'm Polina." She walked right up to me and grabbed both my hands in hers, eying me up and down with a grin, then looked at David again. "Tse vasha podruha?" she said in what I assumed was Ukrainian. It sounded like a question, and David actually blushed.

"Tak, babusya." He nodded with a reluctant look on his face. I gaped at him. I didn't know he spoke Ukrainian.

  "Vona absolyutno chudova."

"Tak, vona Baba." A small smile playing across David's lips.

"Vona vashe povitrya?" Another question, and David looked really uncomfortable now.

"That's enough, Mom," Aleta told her mother with a tight smile. "You're making both of them uncomfortable."

"I apologize, Miss Natalie," Polina said with a warm smile as she continued to grip my hands firmly in hers. "I was just asking David if you were his girlfriend, and telling him how beautiful you are." No wonder David was uncomfortable. We hadn't even labeled our relationship yet, and his grandmother was already grilling him about it.

"That's alright," I told her with a warm smile. I was just about to ask Polina about the second question she asked when a commotion coming from the front door drew everyone's attention. Two dark-haired little boys came barreling into the room with a waddling pregnant woman, and a tall broad-shouldered man in their wake. The woman was very pregnant, and absolutely beautiful with her round face and high cheekbones. Her dark hair fell in loose curls to her shoulders. She had flawless skin, and her eyes were identical to David's. This must his sister, Diana.

"Can't talk, gotta pee!" she announced as she made a beeline for the kitchen, then jerked to a halt when she saw me. Her eyes widened, and she looked at David then back at me again. "Hello," she finally managed to blurt out.

"Diana, this is Natalie." David gave his sister an uncomfortable smile.

"Hi, Natalie." Her eyes narrowed at me, her voice coming out flat. "I hate to be rude, but my bladder can't wait. If you'll excuse me." She continued on into the kitchen and disappeared.

"Hi, Natalie." I turned to look at the man who had entered with Diana. He was very handsome and about David's height, but broader in the shoulders and more thickly muscled. His hair brushed his shoulders in thick dark waves, and his pale blue eyes were kind and welcoming.

"This is Tony, my brother-in-law," David told me with a smile. "And the two tornadoes who just blew through here were T.J. and Michael." The two boys had already disappeared from the room with Baba in tow.

"They'll realize there's somebody new here eventually," Tony said with a wide grin as he shook my hand. "It's nice to meet you." He shot a wry smile at David, who shrugged one shoulder at Tony.

Tony started asking me questions about what I did for a living, and Joe joined in. Aleta went back into the kitchen to finish dinner, and the rest of us were sitting on the couch and love seat nearby. I found out that Tony owned a trucking company, and that Joe was a business man and had his hands in lots of different things to do with finance. David sat next to me on the love seat with his arm around my shoulders and our legs touching. I was relieved that he was still attentive to me, despite his discomfort.

Diana finally returned from the bathroom. She made her way over to her husband who immediately vacated his seat for his wife, helping her lower herself slowly onto the couch.

"So, Natalie." Diana turned toward me with a smiled that never quite reached her eyes. "How did you meet my brother?"

"David and I were in a 10K last weekend, and some jerk knocked me over." I smiled, hoping to get her to warm up to me. "David helped me up and I thought I would never see him again, but my brother broke his foot and needed surgery. I was at the hospital the next day, and ran into David in the cafeteria."

"I asked her out." David pulled me in tighter against his side and gave me an affectionate smile. "And we've been out a few times since."

"Wow," Diana responded with a hint of sarcasm. "Things must be moving pretty fast between you two." She shot a sharp look at her brother, who narrowed his eyes in response.

"Lunch is ready," Aleta announced from the kitchen, ending the standoff between the two siblings.

Within minutes, we were all seated around the table passing around food, and I smiled at all the lighthearted chattering. Meals were never like this with my family, even when my parents were still together. David seemed to be over his discomfort finally, joining in the conversation and making a point of including me whenever he could. The only part of the meal that bo
thered me, were the subtle waves of hostility his sister kept sending my way. I kept catching glimpses of her glaring at me out of the corner of my eye, but whenever I turned toward her, she'd be looking somewhere else. I didn't know what her problem with me was, but David must have noticed too. He looked annoyed every time he glanced at his sister.

After dinner, I excused myself to use the bathroom which was through the kitchen and across a family game room. Unfortunately, it made it the perfect out of the way place for Diana to corner me. I walked out of the small guest bathroom to find her waiting for me.

"David is a good man," Diana began as she turned her glare on me directly. "He's been hurt and alone for a very long time now. If you think you can take advantage of my brother and get away with it, you're going to have to deal with me." If she hadn't been so serious, I would have laughed. She was so pregnant right now, that I wouldn't even have to run to get away from her.

"I'm not taking advantage of anybody," I blurted out with exasperation. "I like David and he likes me. We're just dating and getting to know each other."

"If you think you're going to get money out of him, then you are going to be greatly disappointed," Diana continued angrily, ignoring what I said. "David is very good with money, but he's not rich. He's not going to give any of it to some gold digger looking for a payday."

I opened my mouth to say what I thought of that presumptuous statement, in a way that I would probably regret, when David appeared behind his sister with an angry expression on his face.

"Diana," he snapped out in a low and intense voice, making his sister jump guiltily. "What are you doing?"

"I'm protecting you," she said vehemently as she turned to face her brother. "I told you that you needed to get out there again, not bring home the first girl who comes along. How do you know she isn't looking for money? What if she tricks you into getting her pregnant?"

David's jaw clenched down hard, his eyes glittering dangerously. I opened my mouth to defend myself, but David noticed and stilled my tongue with a hard stare. He looked back at Diana.

"Natalie doesn't need or want my money," David told her succinctly. "She has her own. I don't appreciate you insulting her, even if it is some misguided attempt to protect me."
