With his small notebook, Jim had started on a path, uncertain where it would lead in terms of filmmaking. “After all,” Jim said in the film’s production notes, “life is a kind of Labyrinth, with all its twists and turns, its straight paths and its occasional dead ends.” Lucky for us, Jim’s handwritten wanderings led to laughter, imaginative thinking, and to that magic time between sleeping and dreaming when anything is possible.
