Doing as instructed, she looks back at me over her shoulder. “God, you feel fucking incredible.”

Resting my forehead on her shoulder, I settle my hand on her stomach, still moving in tandem with her. “You’re so fucking beautiful.” I map kisses down the slope of her neck.

Looping her arm around my nape, River moans and nuzzles my throat. Those gorgeous eyes peer up at me, heavy-lidded with desire. “Rick...”

My eyes squeeze shut as I bury my head in the crook of her neck.

My head fucking spins with a heady desire.

  I want her.

Every move she makes is like the sweetest kind of torture.

Ghosting my hands over her full breasts, I gently nip at the skin on her shoulder as my fingers pluck her hardened peaks.

Whimpering, River threads her fingers through my hair. “God, I can feel you,” she gasps. “You’re so hard.”

Massaging her breasts, I suckle on her neck. “It’s all for you.” Trailing my hands over her body, I take care to caress every precious inch.

Growling, I nip the shell of her ear. “God, you’re fucking perfect.” I press my thumb to her clit and rub slowly. “Spread your legs for me, sweetheart.” Running my finger over her slick skin, I grunt, “Tell me I can slide my fingers inside my girl’s warm cunt and feel you explode around me.”

Peering up at me with hooded eyes, River snakes her tongue along her lip. “What are you waiting for?”

  Absolutely nothing.

Homing in on her clit, I circle my thumb over the needy little bud, and watch through hazy eyes as she squirms against me.

  There’s Daddy’s girl.

I love how each time I’ve touched her, she’s always been so ready for me. Knowing I turn her on as much as she does me, makes me feel like a fucking king.

Angling my torso back a little, I can’t help but glance down between us, watching completely entranced as her hips rotate on my cock, matching each stroke of my hand.

  I gulp hard.

Thrusting two fingers inside her tight heat, I softly bite her neck, scraping my teeth along her supple flesh. “But first, I want you to imagine it’s my thick cock sliding deep inside of you.” I cup her tit, caressing her ample flesh as I finger fuck her in fast and frenzied pumps. “That’s it, baby. Fuck Daddy’s hand with that tight cunt. Cream all over my fingers like the dirty little slut you are,” I growl in her ear, my free hand flicking her nipple until it’s diamond hard. “Fuck, yeah. You want it, don’t you? You need my big cock pounding your eager snatch.” Hell, at this rate, I’ll be surprised if I don’t blow in my slacks just from witnessing her come.

“Oh my God,” she cries, as I roll her peak between my fingers.

I add more pressure to the small bundle of nerves, and River gasps as a quiver runs through her. “Rick...”

“Daddy,” I growl in her ear, her pussy squelching as I piston my fingers into her slick center. “You call me daddy when I’m inside you.” River whimpers, convulsing around me. “Fucking say it, baby.”

“Daddy,” she breathes like a dream, lost in her pleasure. “Oh God. Yes, Daddy, just like that!”

Raining kisses along her neck, I insert a third finger, smirking against her skin as her breath hitches, and her hand clamps around my wrist. “Tell me to fuck your cunt, River,” I coax, the beast in me needing to hear her say those filthy words.

“Oh God,” River cries, dropping her head back against me. “Fuck my cunt, Daddy,” she pleads, the sinful words on her lips sounding like music to my ears. “Fuck me like the naughty little whore that I am.”

My cock roars to life in my jeans at her words. The temptation to push up her dress and stretch that slick pussy wide with my dick is unbearable. “Such a dirty fucking slut.” I finger-fuck her at a furious pace while biting the conjunction of her neck.

“Goddamn,” I grit, refusing to let up. “I love you so fucking much.”

“Oh God, yes,” River cries out, arching her back and pushing that delectable rear into me.

Needing to taste her, I drop to my knees, part her ass cheeks, and bury my face in her dripping pussy. “Such a dirty fucking slut,” I mumble, sucking her clit into my mouth. “Cum for me, baby. Let Daddy taste that delicious pussy juice.” I punch my fingers harder, slamming faster until I taste her sweet, addictive release on my tongue.

  Fuck, yes.

“Oh fuck, Rick!” She reaches behind and pushes my face farther into her cunt. “Eat it,” my filthy girl pants. “Eat for me, Daddy.”

Goddamn. Watching her lose control like that, has my cock dripping pre-cum.

A succession of breathy whimpers follows as she grips my head in a vise. “Holy shit.” Her breaths are shallow and ragged as a violent tremble racks her body.

Making sure I’ve swallowed every drop, I stand up and hold her against me. “You’re so fucking dirty, baby. It drives me nuts.”

River sags against me, her body sated and content as she slowly floats back down to Earth. “That was... amazing.”

Meanwhile, my body is crying out for some relief, but this wasn’t about me. Despite the fact my balls are turning so fucking blue I’m pretty sure they’re going to drop off, I get just as much pleasure from seeing her fall apart as I would from an actual orgasm.

Knowing I’ve driven her past the point of no return, is enough for me.

“Let’s get you home,” I murmur into her ear, and help straighten her dress.

As much as I’d love to feel her warmth wrapped around me, I just want to fall asleep with her in my arms.

This evening has been fucking exhausting and all I want to do is sleep.

I’ve been watching Rick sleep for the best part of two hours, when I finally give up, and head downstairs. I don’t want to disturb him, but my mind is too preoccupied with thoughts of this evening’s surprising events and my impending departure, to sleep.

Sadie has been everything I thought she’d be.

A stereotypical jilted ex, who clearly isn’t over Rick.

  I can’t deny that she’s beautiful.

Long blonde hair, striking blue eyes, with a figure too slim for those double D’s to be real.

Is she going to become a problem for us? It’s obvious she can’t seem to let him go, but I don’t want the worry of wondering if he’d ever go back to her; they have kids together, for Christ’s sake. Whichever way I dissect this, the woman who took it upon herself to ruin a perfectly beautiful night, will always be a part of our lives.

And I’m not sure how I feel about that.

What about his kids? I’m guessing sooner or later he’s going to want me to meet them. What if they don’t like me? Or what if they think I’m some kind of homewrecker for being part of the reason their parents aren’t together.

I know Christian is a teenager now, and he more than likely knows the deal between his parents, but what happens when I come into the scene? Will he accept me? Or will I be treated like some leaper outcast?

Skylar is still only a baby, so it’s a little easier with her. But I’ll still be this new person in her life, and I’m not sure how she’ll respond to that.

  And then there’s Monday.

The day all this ends and I return home. I know Rick said he loved me earlier, but was that just a big fuck you to Sadie? Was it said in the heat of the moment? Or did he really mean it?

What’s going to happen come check-out time? Will we go our separate ways and never see each other again? Is he willing to try long distance? Am I expected to pack up my newly built life in Charlestown, and move to wherever he lives?

That’s when it hits me: I don’t even know where he lives.

I’ve spent almost an entire week with this man, letting him touch me in ways I’ve never experienced before, and what do I know about him?

He took over as CEO of Blackley Inc. from his father.

He has a deranged ex with whom he shares two children.

And he travels for his job.

  Th
at’s it.

That’s the extent of my knowledge of the man I’m pretty sure I’m in love with.

Groaning, I scrub a hand over my face.

  Fuck my fucking life.

“Baby?” I hear Rick’s groggy voice call from upstairs.

“I’m in the living area,” I call back.

The sound of heavy footfalls coming down the stairs turns my attention, and despite my morose mood, I almost orgasm on the spot at how fucking hot he looks wearing a pair of low-slung black Nike sweats, and nothing else.

Christ, even his feet are sexy.

“River?” The sense of confusion in his voice matches my own. “What are you doing down here?”

I shrug, clutching my coffee tightly. “Couldn’t sleep.”

Coming to sit on the corner of the coffee table, Rick rests his elbows on his knees and takes my hands. “Is this because of tonight?” he hazards a guess, and it’s a pretty fucking accurate guess.

“It’s everything. Tonight just tipped the scales.”

  “Talk to me, baby.”

“Your ex is a complete winner,” I mutter sarcastically. “But this is more to do with us.”

  “Okay…”

I breathe in a lungful of air. “I leave on Monday.”

He nods, not looking at all happy with that concept. “I’m aware.”

“When are you due to leave?”

Rick caresses the tender skin of my inner wrist. “Tonight.”

  Tonight?

My eyes dart to his as I launch forward, my hot coffee spilling everywhere. “Tonight?!”

“Jesus, sweetheart.” He yanks the cover off me and takes the cup out of my hand. “Are you okay?” He jumps up to get something to clean this mess up, but I stop him.

I couldn’t give a crap about some spilled coffee. It’s not like it went on his couch.

“You’re leaving tonight?” My voice comes out more high-pitched than intended, but shit, what else is this guy going to shock me with?

Rick nods solemnly. “I was scheduled to fly back this evening.”

“Was scheduled?” I echo his words. “Does that mean you’re not now?”

Setting the mug on the table, he moves to sit beside me. “I changed the flight yesterday morning while you were choosing your dress for the gala.”

His conversation with Skylar comes to mind.

“That’s why you were apologizing to Skylar.”

He nods again, his fingers settling on my knee. “She was expecting me home in the morning.”

  Oh Christ.

“Rick.” I stand up and pace the floor, feeling too antsy to sit still. “Why would you do that? She’s your daughter. Seeing her is more important.”

In a flash, he’s by my side, but I hold a hand out needing some distance. The look of pain on his face at being kept away from me is palpable.

“Sweetheart, I couldn’t risk losing you. When I found out you were staying until Monday, it was a no-brainer for me. I had to rearrange my plans. Call me fucking crazy, but I’ve only just found you, River. If there was even the slightest chance I could spend more time with you, I’d snatch it up with both hands.”

His sweet words shouldn’t make my stomach flutter, but they do. “But you let her down.”

“I did.” He averts his eyes guiltily. “And I feel like an ass for it. But she’s three years old, River. The likelihood of her even remembering any of this is extremely slim. Besides, I have the rest of her life to make it up to her.”

“You shouldn’t have lied to her, Rick.”

“Fuck this.” Rick prowls toward me, crowding me against a pillar. “Don’t even keep me away from my woman again.” He frames my face and forces me to look up at him. “If I’d left, I would’ve regretted it for the rest of my life. So, forgive me, but for once I did something entirely selfish and acted on impulse.” He brushes a tentative kiss across my lips. “I won’t apologize for doing what I had to do, baby. I’m in love with you, River. I couldn’t risk leaving and never seeing you again.”

“You’re Rick Blackley, the guy with unlimited resources. You could’ve found me.”

“You’re right, I could’ve. But it wouldn’t have been the same.”

Groaning, I drop my head to his chest. “What if she hates me?”

“She won’t hate you, sweetheart. She’ll love you just like her father does.”

  And that’s another thing…

“You said you loved me tonight.”

  “I did.”

I fiddle with the drawstring on his sweats. “Did you mean it?”

“Baby.” Rick tips my chin up. “I said it in front of a thousand people, what do you think?”

  “Doesn’t mean you meant it.”

Rick’s thumbs caress my jaw. “I can’t stop thinking about you, River. Which is becoming a bit of a problem when I have a billion-dollar company to run.” He chuckles, making me smile. “You’re the first thing I think about when I open my eyes, the last thing on my mind before I go to sleep, and you’re pretty much every thought in between. What do you think that means?”

“I know what I want it to mean.”

His knuckle brushes my lip. “What do you want it to mean?”

I peer up at him, my chest tightening as I gaze into those mesmerizing eyes. “That you’re the man I think you are.”

“Maybe this will help you decide. I wasn’t looking for love, sweetheart, but I found it anyway. And I’m not about to it slip through my fingers.” Rick takes my hand and places it over his thumping heartbeat. “I’m in love with you, baby. I look at you, and I’m home. I’m fucking shit with words, but I wish I could explain the way I feel when you give me those beautiful eyes. You look at me, and I feel like the luckiest bastard in the world, because I’m the one that stole your attention. When I tell you I love you, I’m not saying it because I have to or because it’s how’s that done. I’m saying it because I need you to know that you’re my entire life, and I can’t live without you.” He studies my face. “Does that tell you what kind of man I am?”

Feeling like an idiot for doubting his feelings for me, I smile up at him coyly. “It tells me you’re my man, City Boy.” My arms loop around his waist.

Rick cradles the back of my neck. “Damn fucking straight.”

Closing my eyes, I rub my nose up and down his chest, taking in the smell of his aftershave that I love. “There’s still so much we don’t know about each other,” I voice out my concern.

He kisses the top of my head. “Then we’ll get to know each other.”

Slipping his hand in mine, he tugs me toward the couch before throwing a few logs in the fireplace and starting a small fire.

My body warms with desire as I watch the thick muscles in his back flex and contract with each movement.

  Good lord, he’s so sexy.

I watch, intrigued, as he walks over to the bar and pour two drinks. A whiskey for him and a glass of wine for me.

When he turns around, my stomach flips with excitement at the lopsided smirk pulling at his lips.

“Mind if I sit?” his deep, sexy voice rasps as he motions to the empty seat beside me.

  My insides twist with excitement.

What the hell is he doing?

“Of course.” I hold my hand out, gesturing for him to take a seat.

“I took the liberty of ordering you a Merlot.” Rick hands me the glass and I flatten my lips trying to stifle a grin. “I hope that’s okay?”

  He’s giving me a do-over.

Playing along, I take the glass. “Thank you, but why would you order me a Merlot?”

“Because Merlot is said to be an approachable wine.”

I cock a brow, unsure whether to be offended or flattered. “You think I’m approachable?”

“I was going to order a Vin Santo, but I didn’t want to come across too strong.”

Color me intrigued. “What is said about Vin Santo?”

“It’s sweet and sexy.” Rick winks, bringing
his whiskey to his lips.

My breath hitches as a warmth floods my cheeks.

  Okay, City Boy.

  Game on.

“What makes you think I’m sweet?”

He sits forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Call it an inkling.”

Heat radiates from his close proximity, and I have to fight with myself not to curl into him.

He holds out a hand. “I’m Rick.”

I slide my palm against his, and a current of electricity runs between us so strong, it takes my breath away. “Nice to meet you, Rick. I’m River.”

“So, what brings you to Blackley Tower?”

I decide to mess with him a little.

“My husband brought me here for my birthday.” I flash a mischievous grin.

“Is that so?” His eyes flare with hilarity.

“Yup.” I nod, trying not to laugh. “He’s actually waiting for me in our room.” I lean closer, tempting him. “I think he’s got some kinky stuff planned for tonight.”

Our eyes lock, and there is no denying that the sexual chemistry between us is highly fucking explosive.

“Oh yeah?” Rick flashes me that panty-melting smirk as he places a hand on my thigh and trails it upward. “Then why are you here with me?”

His fingers sneak under my dress shirt, but I push him away.

“I don’t know what kind of company you normally keep, Rick. But I’m not that kind of girl.”

His green orbs dance with delight. “What kind of girl are you, baby?”

Tipping my head back, I swallow my wine in two gulps. “It’ll cost you another drink to find out.”

“You’ll get your drink, but first I need to know something.”

  “Shoot.”

Inching closer, his darkened eyes lower to the sliver of skin peeking out from under my shirt. “Does this husband of yours know what a stupid fucking asshole he is for leaving you with me?” His fingers idly toys with the next button down.

“He doesn’t know I’m with you,” I counter, my chest heaving as Rick slowly unbuttons my shirt.

Once he’s finished, he parts the oversized fabric and pushes it away from my body, baring me to his hungry gaze. “Does he know what a beautiful wife he has?”
