William thanked everyone for attending the treasure hunt and invited the group, along with Anna, to a celebratory meal at the castle.
“What happened to Marie and Pierre?” asked Edison.
“They went back to their town. They broke the competition rules, but they weren’t like Spencer and Aaron,” said William.
“Sally, thank you for letting us know Spencer and Aaron were behind this,” said Billy.
“You know, you’d make a good detective,” added Edison.
“Maybe you’d like to join us on our next case,” said Anna.
Sally smiled. “Next case? Sign me up.”
Edison was glad to be home, but he wasn’t ready to solve another mystery. Although he knew it was just a matter of time before he had to help the Overworld, he was going to spend this afternoon celebrating his friend Billy, one of the best treasure hunters in the Overworld.
