by Georgia London

All the ghosts were quiet. Miranda had gone on her way, having made amends for her actions in life by saving the life of the man she tormented. Samantha was still at the hospital; she’d refused to leave Simon’s side, wanted to nurse him herself, and her father had arranged for him to be transferred to a private hospital where she could sleep in his room with him.

Charlotte wondered how long it would be before they could trust each other again, but it seemed Jason was a good man after all. He wanted to pay for an expensive honeymoon for the couple when Simon recovered, but he insisted they use the tickets he’d saved up for, the second class holiday to Paris.

Now that was settled, Charlotte hoped to settle down to her new life in this beautiful part of the world, to see what the future might hold.
