He pressed his nose into the side of my neck. “I bet you’re glad I didn’t, eh?”
I playfully shoved him away. “Ego.”
“Hey, you like me anyways.” He shrugged as he ran his fingers through my hair slowly taking the time to massage my scalp in the process.
My eyes fluttered closed as I melted into his touch. “Mm, that feels really good.”
“I aim to please,” he said, quietly.
“You’re very tense.”
He began to knead my shoulders and my neck simultaneously sending sparks of delight zig zagging through my body. I was turning into jelly beneath his expert touch, and it was a struggle to keep my eyes open.
“Don’t fall asleep.” He chuckled as he lightly pinched my nipple. I gave a start and glared at him.
“There’s no need to cheat. I can stay awake—” A yawn broke through my lips interrupting what I was about to say. Hunter’s face broke out into a grin as he raised an eyebrow.
“You were saying?”
My eyes widened comically as I covered my mouth. “Sorry, it’s really not you, and it’s not that I’m not enjoying this.”
Hunter’s eyes sparkled mischievously. “I can think of ways to wake you up.”
“Nothing risqué, is it?” I feigned innocence. “I am a professional woman, after all.”
Hunter pretended to regard me seriously. “Of course, I am taking that into account. I want to listen to all your complaints and address each and every one of them separately.”
I pursed my lips. “Hmm, and what if I’m not satisfied?”
“I’ll just have to keep at it till we achieve results that you are happy with.”
I nodded. “I agree to your terms and conditions. Where do I sign?”
Hunter tapped his mouth. “On the dotted line, naturally.”
“Where’s that?”
He pointed to his lips. I smiled as I leaned in and placed a quick kiss on his lips.
“You call that signing?” Hunter shook his head. “No, I don’t accept that.”
“What can I do to convince you that I’m all in?”
“Show me properly, for starters,” Hunter began. “Then we can get down to business.”
I placed both my hands on his chest and gently pushed him backwards. He stared at me in confusion, but he complied regardless, his hands roaming all over me.
I leaned forward, so that I was covering the upper half of his body with mine, and I began to kiss his neck thoroughly.
“How am I doing on the convincing front?” I murmured. My lips pressed to his soft skin. He smelled like soap and spices, and I took a moment to inhale it, letting it fill my senses.
“Pretty good,” he said, mildly.
“Pretty good? I strive for excellence,” I argued. “Are you sure you don’t want to give me a better rating?”
I began to rotate my hips suggestively, swinging them sideways then slowly lifting them up and lowering them down. I could feel him pressed against me through the fabric of his boxers, and given the fact that I was mostly naked, this made me pause.
“There’s too many layers,” I pointed as I gave his jeans a pointed look and a quick tug. Hunter chuckled as he flicked the button and shoved them down to his ankles. They were stuck around his feet, so I helped him kick them off, giggling nervously in the process.
I swallowed when I saw how big he was, the boxers could barely contain him, and a sudden bout of fear washed over me. What if it hurts more because he’s that big? What if we aren’t compatible? What if tries to push it in and something goes wrong?
It was definitely going to hurt, but did it hurt more if the man was big?
I had done a lot of idle research on the topic, but nobody could ever seem to agree. They did mention that it would expand and adjust according to the size, but I found that hard to believe. Could any organ really be that elastic?
As if he sensed my train of thought, Hunter glanced down, and understanding dawned on his features. “It’s okay to be afraid. We don’t have to do anything tonight.”
I shook my head. “It’s not that.”
“You’re worried because of the size?” he questioned, his voice echoing throughout the room, and I was flushed with embarrassment. I was twenty-four, and I felt like I should know more about these things, but I didn’t. I couldn’t change that fact.
“Yes,” I admitted. “I know it’s silly, and I did read about it, but it was never clear.”
Hunter brushed his hand lightly across my jaw. “It’s okay, and it’s not silly. Usually size is better because it makes you feel fuller, and it’s more satisfying for women, or so I’ve been told. I guess it’s because it reaches more.”
“Hmmm, but won’t it hurt, especially because I’ve never had a guy down there?” I whispered, uncertainly as I ran my hands across his chest absent-mindedly.
“It’ll hurt at first. That’s true of everyone, but the important thing is to relax. If you’re tense, and you clam up, it makes it harder for me to move.”
I drew my bottom lip between my teeth. “How so?”
“You’ll find your legs closing reflexively because that’s what you were raised to do, and because your body senses that a foreign object is about to invade, so it’s protecting itself.”
I snorted. “When you explain it like that, it all sounds very clinical.”
Hunter smiled. “Yes, it sort of is I suppose if you look at it from an outsiders’ context. Not that sexy, huh?”
Hunter had a patch of hair in the middle of his chest, it was dark just like the hair on his head, and it lead all the way to his happy trail. I bent forward and pressed a soft kiss on his chest, letting my tongue dart out and lick a path all the way down to his chiseled torso.
“It’s okay if you don’t have a lot of experience,” Hunter assured me. “Just be yourself, and do whatever feels natural.”
I pulled my lips back and barred my teeth and lightly bit his nipples. “Like this?”
Hunter was looking at me in amusement. “I mean, that’s good.”
My eyebrow rose to my hairline, and I smiled. “I’m glad.”
“But it’s not the same for men as it is for women,” He added, regretfully.
My smile wavered then fell. “I was never brave enough to try with the guys that I’ve dated, and honestly they were never patient enough to understand that it was never about not wanting to do any of the work. It was about being self-conscious.”
He splayed his hands across my hips and pinched them tightly. “I don’t care who does most of the work, or who starts it, Bianca. Let me be very clear because I think I’m getting a clear idea of what those assholes were like. I am nothing like the men you’ve dated.”
“I can tell.”
“No, you don’t know the half of it, and that’s okay. Those are things you’ll learn over time, but what you need to know is that I am a fairly easy-going guy, but I am an alpha male. If you’re looking to date somebody who’s placid then I’m sorry, but it’s just not me,” He revealed in a tone that brokered no argument. Gone was the earlier playfulness, and in its place was a seriousness that had my heart aching for him.
He didn’t need to say it in order for me to know.
He’d gotten his heart broken too.
And whoever she was, she’d done quite a number on him.
Unlike me, Hunter didn’t seem willing to talk about it, and that was fine. He wasn’t going to lie about it if I asked him directly, but it was going to make him uncomfortable.
And we weren’t at that place yet.
I wasn’t sure how he’d managed to get me to trust him enough to strip, but here we were. In spite of all the signs that pointed to the contrary.
“I don’t want somebody who’s placid.” I gave him a look. “If I did, I wouldn’t be here. You aren’t exactly subtle, Hunter. I mean it’s good to hear it outright, but I wasn’t under any illusions.”
“Not subtle, eh? What gave me away?” He wriggled his hips bene
ath me nearly causing me to topple over. I laughed as I righted myself and brought my hands up to my chin.
“I don’t know. Maybe it was something you said, or did.”
“Please elaborate.” He lifted his arms up, his muscles rippling in the process as he placed his arms behind his head.
“Well, it wasn’t clear at first, but after your point, it was quite…. hard to ignore it,” I said, suggestively, my voice dropping to a breathy whisper.
I may not have been good at initiating or any of the semantics, but I was starting to know my way around dirty talk which was a lot more fun if you think about it.
“I don’t think it was hard enough,” Hunter mused as he lifted his hips up slightly, and I gasped at the contact.
“Oh, I think it was.” I worked to keep the tremor out of my voice. Just because I knew he was an alpha didn’t mean I would always let him have the upper hand.
It was fun to test his limits and tease him just a little.
Hunter made a noise in the back of his throat, and before I knew it, he had rolled us both over, so he was on top. I was pinned beneath him, and even though the feminist in me was indignant and suspicious, even she could admit that it was very attractive when a guy took charge like that.
I wasn’t under any assumptions that it would be easy to date a woman like me. A lot of men probably found me intimidating solely based on the fact that I owned my own company. That alone was enough reason to make sure that not a lot of men came banging on my door, not that they were to begin with, but still my chances had taken a severe hit. My ability to choose from a wide gene pool had slimmed, and then came Hunter.
He didn’t seem to care, not even a tiny bit.
In fact, against all odds, he seemed like he admired my hard work. That in and of itself was a novelty.
“I think you’d better look again.”
We both glanced down between us, and I could practically hear the fabric as it strained to keep his bugle in shorts. Apparently, what I saw before wasn’t an accurate representation of how big it could get.
Briefly, my earlier fears tried to break their way through the foggy haze that had enveloped both of us, but I pushed them to the back of my mind and wrapped my arms Hunter securing him in place.
“The sight of you in my bed like this, flat on your back, that’s fucking hot, Bianca. You have no idea how you look right now. Fuck, I can’t believe anybody would be stupid enough to not appreciate this,” He gestured between us, his voice sounding like liquid honey dripping all over me. It was a good thing I was already undressed because the way he was looking at me was making me want to throw myself at his mercy and lose myself.
As it was, it was good that I’d already had a little bit of a taste of what to expect earlier. I liked to think it evened out the playing field a little, so that way we were on the same page.
“I can’t believe you’ve never been with a man like this before. Well, it’s their loss because I’m going to make you feel things you’ve never felt before, and I’m going to make you do things you’ve never dreamed of doing, but most of all, I’m going to make that sensual mouth of yours scream out in pleasure,” Hunter promised as he rubbed his face all across my chest causing goosebumps to break out.
“Remember to tell me to stop if it gets uncomfortable.” He pinned me with a look and waited till I was focused on him before he continued.
“You do have to give me some sort of sign that you hear me,” he joked, lightly his dark eyes searching. I grinned and gave him a thumbs up.
He chortled, his stomach rumbling. “You are definitely an interesting woman, Bianca.”
“Thank you,” I beamed.
One arm stayed on my breasts, alternating deftly between the two while the other circled the area around my core. Teasing and eliciting quite a few moans, but never going where I wanted him to go.
He was just about to plunge his fingers when somebody banged on the door. Hunter shot the door a withering look and leaned over me. “Ignore it. Whoever it is will go away.”
I buried my head in his neck as he began to kiss along my collarbone, and I sighed as the knocking grew more insistent to the point where it became hard to ignore.
“Bianca?” Ariana called out. “Are you in there?”
My head fell back, and I groaned quietly. “It’s my partner who also happens to be my best friend. She isn’t going to go away.”
Hunter shot me a look as he got off of me, and helped me up. “Are you sure? Don’t underestimate my ability to drown out things.”
“Don’t underestimate Ariana’s persistence. It’s one of the reasons why I hired her.”
I began to search for something to wear, suddenly very aware of the fact that I was stark naked in the middle of his bedroom.
“Here.”
My hand flew up, and I caught a button-down shirt in my hands, and stared down at it in confusion. “Am I supposed to wear this?”
“The idea is that generally yes, you do wear it,” Hunter commented, dryly. “You could also not wear it, and stay like this. I’m enjoying the view.”
I ducked my head and began to change into the shirt, but my arm hung limply to one side as I tried to figure out how to do it. “I’m not talking to Ariana like this. She’s going to take one look at me and know.”
Hunter raised an eyebrow. “So? Anybody would be able to tell.”
“It’s not something I’m in the habit of sharing,” I revealed as I finally got the material on over my head. A pair of hands snaked around my waist from the back as he placed his head in the crook of my neck and helped me smooth the shirt down. It ended slightly above my knees which wasn’t ideal, but it was better than nothing.
I grimaced as I wondered what I would tell Ariana while Hunter’s hands continued to roam over my body, lightly skimming the flimsy material I had on.
“I think I like how this shirt looks on you,” he whispered as he moved a strand of hair and placed a kiss near the side of my ear. “It definitely suits you a lot better than it suits me.”
“No, it’s too short, and it looks huge on me.”
“What? I’m sorry I heard nothing after you said the word short.”
My lips twitched as I wrapped my arm around him and lightly scratched his back. “Alright, Casanova, let go.”
He rubbed his nose against my skin. “Do I have to? You could just talk to her like this.”
His arms snaked underneath my shirt, and he placed them firmly on top of my breasts. “See? I could be like a bra.”
I guffawed as I leaned into him, enjoying the sensation in spite of myself. “Yeah, no, you’d be the world’s worst bra.”
“Or the world’s best one. How would you know? You’ve never had a bra like me.”
I rolled my eyes. “Just c’mon.”
He dropped his hands suddenly and stepped away, and I missed his warmth pressed up against me. He gave me a suggestive look before he stepped outside into the balcony and shut it behind him.
I blew my hair out of my face as I strode towards the door, unlocked it and ushered Ariana in amidst protests and exclamations.
Her eyes widened marginally when she took in the rumpled sheets, and the sight of me in his shirt.
“You slept with him?” she screeched, her hands coming up around my shoulders.
“Jeez, Ariana. Do you want to go a little louder? I think the other neighbors didn’t hear.”
She had the good grace to look sheepish. “Sorry, but yeah, don’t change the subject.”
I sighed. “No, I haven’t. Not yet in any case.”
“But you’re planning on it?”
“I don’t know, maybe. It depends on how well this goes. I like him Ariana. I really do.”
Ariana took a deep breath. “Okay, I’m not trying to be judgmental or anything, but are you sure about this? You’ve waited a long time for this, Bianca.”
“I know, but it feels right with him, and I know it sounds crazy, or brash or sudden, but it just does. I
can wait the rest of my life for what I think would be the perfect moment, or I can go ahead and make the moment perfect.”
Ariana stared at me as if I’d grown three heads before she shook her head in an attempt to snap out of it. “Well, I guess that’s good then. Does he know?”
“Of course he knows.”
“He better not be pressuring you or anything, or I don’t care how hot he is, I will make him regret it,” Ariana warned as she darted a glance towards the balcony before sliding it back to me.
“He isn’t. He said it was my decision though I do appreciate the sentiment, but I’m pretty sure he’s a lot bigger than you are,” I said, not unkindly.
“It won’t matter. Since when has that every stopped me?” Ariana waved my protest away. “You just make sure he knows that, okay?”
I smiled ruefully. “I will, don’t worry. Is everything alright with the party?”
“Yes, I’ve got it under control,” Ariana assured me. “Alright, I’m going to get out of your hair now. Be safe!”
The chuckle died on my lips when I felt a pair of arms snake around me from behind, and I was pulled against his hard back. I stiffened for a moment before I told myself to relax and enjoy this.
“Everything okay?” He was kissing the area between my ear and my neck which was super sensitive causing goosebumps to break out across my skin.
“Yeah, everything is fine,” I sighed as I spun around in his arms and wrapped my arms around his neck. His hands immediately went to the small of my back as he leveled his gaze with mine.
“I want you, Hunter,” I confessed, bluntly.
If he was surprised, he didn’t look it. He just stared at me as if he was looking for something, before he finally opened his mouth.
“Are you sure?”
His eyes were searching my face. I wasn’t sure what for. If he was looking for any kind of hesitance, he wouldn’t find any.
I knew what I wanted.
God knew I’d waited long enough to have sex, and for the first time in my life, it felt right. There was no judgement, and no preconceived notions about what it should be, or how I should react.
It just was.
