  Taming the Renegade Omega…

  Chapter 1

Waking with Silver’s return, Renegade found herself in a nest. A true nest carved into the earth and softened by every scrap of leathers the pack could offer. And worse, each and every single male she found in her nest was purring. Half of them had been taken by the killing fever just as she had, while a select few appeared to be recovering from it. Eyes wide and glassy, the few male eyes she met were already flecked with Feral gold…

Hissing, Renegade kicked and punched her way free of that nest, forcing their submission at their Alpha’s mate, no matter that she was a lowly Omega. No matter that they—each and every one—knew what it was to slide between her thighs and spill their seeded offering.

Renewed, if not refreshed, she snarled, and freed herself. Crawled up from that hole of tangled male limbs, gasping for breath that hadn’t come from another. That wasn’t moist with their fever or lust.

When she staggered to the cave’s entrance, she passed by Silver, whose eyes were glassy and cheeks pink. Who had yet to succumb to the fever, but was on the cusp. Apparently Giaus had forgiven the lesser Alpha who’d been eager to play errand boy, though when she looked, Renegade couldn’t see just what it was Silver had been ordered to fetch. What could have been worth the risk of spreading this mutated version of the Trax?

No matter. Giaus’ stupid little games weren’t her concern. All she wanted was a breath of fresh air.

“Miss,” Sickle breathed, having followed her out. “Please. Come back to the nest. You’ve not healed enough to be walking—”

Bared teeth were her only acknowledgment of the little Omega male who was to be her counterpart.

But Giaus was less forgiving. Placing a heavy hand on her shoulder, he heated her spine with his nearness. “The boy is right, Renegade. It’s time for rest. The killing fever hasn’t ended for you.”

She shook him off. Pressing sweaty forehead to the cave’s stone wall—the other pressed to her fluttering belly. Nausea; it settled over her like a cold slap. Flapping. Churning. Bubbling behind her palm. “Bleh,” she whispered, voice trembling. “Get away from me.”

Her mate was unaccustomed to taking orders, and instead of obeying, that accursed male purred. Drew her to his side, and allowed her to look over the clearing she’d used to set her trap. Thinking herself so much smarter than the males she intended to use and discard.

“This will pass,” Giaus rumbled, kneading at her nap. Fingers tracing the mark he’d left upon her skin. “The Trax will take the place of all this weakness and frailty. You’ll wake stronger, my Renegade Omega. My mate.”

Almost unable to speak, she nodded. Knowing she wasn’t strong enough to run, but nearly doing it all the same.

Giaus chuckled, fingers tightening on her shoulder. Pinning her to his side. “You will find shelter in my care.” He pulled the fall of her midnight hair over her shoulder, fingers tangling in the mane that extended beyond. “No other will give you what I have given you, woman. And in return,” he said, drawing something that clinked and clanged from behind his back, “I will have obedience.”

Again, she nodded. “You shall have it, Alpha.”

She felt his grin against her nape. A Feral grin. “I know,” he returned—and snapped a steel collar about her throat.

Ensuring that his Queen would go no further than the link that bound her to his wrist.

M.D. Pentacles is fond of speaking in the third person because she feels it’s an accurate representation of the fracture in her psyche and the legions who’ve made themselves comfy up inside her brains. This crack goes deep—Hell deep—but that’s okay because M.D. grew up wrangling the darklings and by this point is mostly just tired of their shit, yet happy to give the raunchy darlings a voice. After a brief episode of perception-altering insanity, M.D. realized she had two options: keep the filthy chaos to herself and risk causing a super massive black hole with the ensuing implosion, or share her slutty demons with those brave enough to join her in embracing the chaos...

She’s chosen the latter and doesn’t care about the consequences.
