“Yes! Yes, I’ll marry you! But I want the works, Trevor. A big, lavish affair would be perfect. Maybe something outdoors. A ceremony that incorporates your Lakota traditions. Lots and lots of fresh flowers, magnolias.”
Her voice went all dreamy. “This is going to be the one and only wedding I ever intend to have, so it’s going to be my fairytale. You, Trevor, you’re my fairytale,” she grinned, pulling his mouth down to hers. “My Lakota Warrior.”
Smiling, he quirked a brow. “One thing, though, darlin’.”
“Anything,” she replied. Her arms were wrapped around his neck and her face pressed to his chest as they strolled towards the elevator.
“I’m not naming our first child Detroit.”
Her head fell back as she laughed heartily. “Maybe we could reverse the Beaumont tradition. Tahoe’s not a bad name for a boy.”
“Tahoe,” he savored, arching a brow. “Sounds manly enough, I guess. Virile. Maybe, Scion for a girl. Hey, we could borrow Audie’s Sequoia, lots of leg room.” He brushed his lips lightly over hers. “We’ll work on it.”
Again, and again, and again.
“Whatever you want, my love,” she promised and hugged him to her. “As long as the last name on the birth certificate is Bird.”
“Count on it.”
THE END
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A voracious reader herself, Raven can often be found with her nose in a good romance. That is, of course, when she isn’t spinning a new story at her laptop, whipping up something tasty in the kitchen or riding herd on her three children. Her years as a Navy wife finally landed her and her wonderful husband in sunny Florida, not so very far from the heat and humidity of Alabama, where she was born and raised.
