Lessons from a One-Night Stand Page 11

by Rayne, Piper

“I’m on the fence about these things.” My hand kneads her right breast, and she bites her lip, squirming.

“This thing is a bralette.” Her fingers dive under the bottom to free herself from it, but I stop her.

“I thought that was my job.”

  “Okay,” she says sheepishly.

Sliding my fingers under the elastic edging, I pull up. Her tits bounce down, and I throw the fabric on the floor.

“I think there should be a zipper or something.”

She tilts her head. “Are we going to talk about bras all night?”

She raises up, her fingers latching onto my jacket zipper and slowly pulling it down. Her hands splay on my chest, up and over my pecs to my shoulders, to slide my jacket off me. I toss it on the chair in the corner of her room. She wastes no time reaching under my T-shirt and splaying her hands on my bare stomach. With my shirt rising, her plump lips cast small kisses up my abdomen.

I grab the back collar and pull off my shirt.

“Hey, that’s my job.” She stares up at me with her chin pressed to my stomach and her lips a millimeter away from my nipple. Without warning, she latches on, biting it.

I retract in surprise, not pegging her as that type.

She laughs. “Don’t make me tie your hands behind your back.”

Her fingers manipulate the button and zipper of my jeans. Pushing them down, she doesn’t take my boxers with them. I think because she loves the process of undressing. Not that I’m complaining. It’s been years since I took time like this before sleeping with a woman.

My dick tents my boxer briefs, and she rubs her palm over the long length, squeezing it. She sucks on my nipple as my cock twitches in her hand, and I thread my fingers through her auburn hair. Fuck, going slow definitely has its perks.

I step out of my pants, fling off my socks, and lightly push her down on the bed. She slides up to the pillows, her breasts prominently on display for me to admire. I swallow the excess saliva pooling in my mouth. I haven’t wanted something this badly in a long time.

I lift one of her legs, dramatically taking off one of her socks before my hands slide up her jean-clad leg. Slowly, I lower her leg back down and take the other leg, doing the same thing.

“You sure are taking your time with this undressing thing.”

“Well, I kind of owe it to you. At this point last time, your shirt was around your neck and your pants in the driver’s seat.”

“True.” Her fingers play with the comforter underneath her.

It’s impossible to stop admiring her body as my knee presses to the edge of the bed and I climb between her legs. My gaze glides along her bare stomach, over her breasts, right to her eyes as my fingers unbutton and unzip her jeans. She lifts and wiggles as I strip them from her body.

Black lacy underwear that matches the bra she was wearing makes my dick grow harder, eager for relief.

In the truck, I slid her panties over, but this time, I want to feel our bodies with nothing in between us.

  Well, nothing except a condom.

Shit. I wasn’t exactly thinking I was going to get laid tonight.

“Condom?” I ask, sending up a small prayer that one of us is prepared.

Her body slackens into the mattress, with an expression that says nope.

“Fuck, this isn’t good. I can’t go to the drugstore in town because people will talk.”

She sits up in bed. “Well, that’s crushing.”

It is. But necessity is the mother of invention, as they say.

“It doesn’t mean I can’t do other things.” My fingers slide under the top of her panties, and she wiggles back down on the bed. Grabbing the bottle of whipped cream, I say, “I gotta get you messy before I can clean you up.”

I spray a mound of whipped cream on her nipple and my mouth descends.

“It’s possible by the end of the night, I’ll be happy we don’t have a condom.” Her hand falls to the back of my head, and I start the very long, but pleasurable, task of making Holly as dirty as possible.

  Sixteen

  Holly

Austin’s mouth is incredible. I remember it well from the night in the Jeep, but his slow, languid licks, and the way he groans when his tongue circles my nipple, makes this time even better.

His hands haven’t stopped roaming. His hard length presses into the side of my thigh as he bucks each time I do. He sprays a dollop of whipped cream onto my other nipple and ditches the can, his fingers slipping up my thigh and dipping under the edge of my panties. My stomach tightens as he runs his finger through my wet folds, and I squirm into his palm.

A moan rings out of me right before his mouth latches onto my breast.

Never in my life have I been this tightly wound before an orgasm. His thumb strums against my clit and I sigh, my fingers unable to leave the back of his head. My reaction spurs Austin on, and he presses one finger deep inside me.

My body squirms, my hips lifting up off of the mattress. I need him. I need to feel the weight of him in my hands. I slide down, making his mouth pop off my breast. He stares at me with furrowed eyebrows until my hand reaches under his boxers and wraps around his swollen length. His eyes roll back into his head and his own sigh falls from his lips.

I never really had a chance that night to see Austin or truly take the time to feel him. By the time he got me off, much like he is now, we were frenzied animals lost in sensation. I squeeze and tug, rubbing his pre-cum around the tip of his cock. He buries his face in the crook of my neck, his labored breathing increasing my own arousal.

“You’re so fucking wet,” he murmurs, curling his fingers inside me, drawing me closer to him.

I slide my leg over his, panting in his ear, and his dick swells even more in my fist. I stroke him harder and faster with each thrust of his hips. He matches my pace, my hips falling against the plunge of his palm between my legs.

“Fuck, Holly,” he groans. His eyes roll back into his head and he buries another finger inside me, stretching me even more.

His labored breath rings in my ear. I clench around his fingers, trying to push off the inevitable, wanting to live in this state forever. Austin’s manly scent in my bed, his fingers magically ruling my body, his rock-hard length in my hand. It’s all perfection.

I push back my body’s demand for relief until he smashes his lips to mine. Have we really not kissed since the Ferris wheel? I shiver when his tongue meets mine. His lips are firm and insistent, and my body has no chance of staving off my climax with the hunger between us.

Our kiss is messy and sloppy and holds enough desire to knock me senseless. Our mouths ravish one another as his hips drill his cock into my hand. He moves faster, fucking my palm, while I do the same, fucking his fingers.

  “I’m gonna come,” he says.

Seconds later, warmth coats my hand as I cry out, my pussy spasming when his thumb rolls my clit. For a full minute, I’m in orgasmic bliss until I shudder and fall back to the bed, exhausted.

“I guess we didn’t need a condom.” He kisses me once more before climbing out of bed and heading to the bathroom.

He shuts the door and I lie there, in awe of what just happened. I’ve never felt satisfied after being fingered. I mean, I’ve come before, but never without still wanting to have sex after. Until now. I don’t have time to think more about it before Austin comes back out, naked.

“Next time, I promise to have a condom.” He laughs, grabbing his pants and pulling them on.

Here I am, lying naked on my bed as though I have no shame in the world. I sit up and grab my shirt and pull it over my head, ready to throw on a pair of sweats to see him out.

He hops on the bed. “You hungry?”

  I shake my head. “No.”

“Oh, right. The agreement.” He says it as though it’s doesn’t need to be in place.

“Yep. So, I guess I’ll see you Monday morning.” I slide off the bed and dig a pair of sweats out of my drawer.

&nbs
p; “Really?” He puts his arms behind him and leans back on the mattress. I’m choosing to ignore the way it bunches up the muscles in his arms and his abs. “I don’t think having a post-orgasm snack is going to lead either of us to heartbreak.”

I pull on my sweats and cross my arms. “Bye, Austin.”

A part of me wants him to stay. My mouth, for instance, which is salivating at the thought of running my tongue over the ripples of his abs. But thankfully my brain is in full-on protection mode and knows it’s best to keep the lines clearly drawn between us.

He grumbles something, grabs his clothes, and puts them back on while I watch. “Try not to miss me or anything.” He winks and steps into me with a kiss.

I should’ve said no kissing. He’s way too good of a kisser. I’m going to miss that. “You either.”

He taps his temple. “I’ve committed all of you to memory.”

My hands land on his shoulders, and I turn him toward the door. He laughs, eventually stepping out, and we make our way down the stairs.

“Oh, I almost forgot.” He turns at the bottom step. “I saw Mrs. Andrews. I think she’ll be retracting her allegations.”

  “Why?”

He slides his arm around my waist. This man is so comfortable with affection. “She said she’s worried about Elijah and JP’s friendship. She wants me to try to help mend it.”

  I roll my eyes. “I don’t get it. She’s a little crazy.”

He shrugs, an empathetic look crossing his face. I get the impression there’s so much in this town I still don’t know. “Well, I say it’s a win. Now we don’t have to act like I’m only here to look at papers and test scores. We can get down to studying each other’s erogenous zones.”

I playfully push his shoulder. He steps back.

“I’m glad she’s not causing trouble for Elijah or you anymore.”

“Me too.” He steps in, his lips firm on mine, taking me by surprise.

  “Go!” I nudge him.

He opens up the back door to my house and slides out with a smile while I try really hard to remove my own.

  * * *

After Austin leaves, I feel restless. I clean up the house, although with only me, there isn’t much to do. Then I read for a bit and flip through the TV channels but nothing catches my interest. When I’m finished, my gaze falls to the microwave clock. Dana’s just finished nights so she should be up.

I pick up my phone and dial her number.

“You are aware it’s Saturday night, right?”

  I laugh. “I am.”

“Are you calling because you’re at the police station and you’re being charged with stalking?” She chomps down on a piece of food. Every time I talk to her, she’s either eating or driving, or sometimes both.

“Whatever, I knew you’d just come off nights and would still be up. I called to tell you I found out more about Austin and there’s been a change in our status.”

“Oh, do tell! Look how interesting your life has become since moving up there with the polar bears.” She giggles.

  “I’m going to ignore that.”

  “Okay.” Chomp. Chomp. Chomp.

I fill her in on everything Austin told me about his family situation.

“Really?” Dana asks when I’m done.

  “Yeah.”

“So, you thought he was a pervert trying to sleep with a student, but really the student was his sister who he gave up everything for to come home and raise?”

  “Salt in the wound.”

“You should pitch a reality show.”

  “You’re ridiculous.”

Chomp. Chomp. Chomp. “Now tell me about the change in your status.”

“We’ve kind of agreed to sleep with one another.” I bite my lip, remembering his hands and lips on me and feeling my sex clench.

  “How very proper of you.”

  “Dana!”

She laughs as though she’s saying okay, okay, I’ll behave. “I just think it’s funny that you discussed it before actually doing it. Where’s the wild girl who had Jeep sex?”

My shoulders fall as I sink into the couch. “I had to have an agreement between us. I’m here short-term and so is he. Knowing what I know now, there’s no way we’d ever work out. He’s sacrificed his entire adult life for his family, and now that his sisters are graduating from high school, he’s free to fulfill his own dreams. I’d never want to take that away.”

Dana’s silent. She’s only ever quiet like that when she has something to say that she knows I’m probably not gonna like.

  “What? Say it.”

“All right. You’re thinking about his needs and wants and forgetting your own again. All I heard is he, his, and him. Where is the I and me? You should make up the agreement because you’re leaving in three months and because you have a life to return to. A best friend who is terribly lonely except when she’s reading the Lake Starlight Buzz Wheel every night.”

  “What?”

She laughs. Chomp. “I’m a doctor, Hol, did you really think I wouldn’t be able to find it? I’m only sorry I found it after they took down the picture of the Jeep with the steamed-up windows.”

I raise my hands in defeat. “Okay, enough.” I get up from the couch, needing a glass of wine. “Back to the whole ‘you thinking I’m doing this agreement for Austin’ thing.”

“Come on, convince me otherwise.” Chomp.

“I know I’m leaving here too, and so part of it is to protect me. A part of me doesn’t understand why Austin would want to leave. I can’t even explain this town. He’s like a god here. He’s looked up to by every person, and not just because he returned home to care for his siblings. He’s just an all-around great guy.”

“Well, if I had to raise eight siblings, I’d run away when I could too.”

  “Seven.”

“Seven what? You said there was nine of them.” Chomp.

“Savannah, his sister, was nineteen when their parents passed, and she took over the company.”

  “There’s a company?”

“Are you even listening to me?” I swear I told her about the company.

  “Sorry, I’m distracted.”

“By? I thought you finished binge-watching Friends already.”

She laughs. “Oh, what’s distracting me is so much better than Friends.”

“Is it a new show? I’m in desperate need of watching someone else’s drama.”

“Oh, well then, this isn’t for you.” Chomp. “But it’s good. My entire night staff is obsessed with it.”

“Dana, what is it?” We’re getting off-track, but I’m all for a new show to binge.

  “I don’t think you’ll like it.”

My annoyance grows, and I scowl even though she can’t see me. “You’re acting like a cockblocker.”

Chomp. “That’s insulting. I’ve never cockblocked you. You on the other hand…”

“You should thank me for that. He ended up being on the Florida State Police’s Most Wanted list. Now just tell me what has you so amused.”

She laughs. “Your mind really is somewhere else these days, or you would’ve figured out what I’m talking about by now.”

  I roll my eyes.

“You want to know what’s keeping me entertained?”

  “Yes!”

“Fine. The Lake Starlight Buzz Wheel, and you only have about five minutes to read it before it disappears forever.”

  “Dana!”

“It’s a wonderful article with lots of pictures of you and a strapping young male. You failed to mention how dreamy his dark eyes are.”

I groan, reaching for my iPad on the coffee table. “What does it say?”

“Just go read it,” she says. “Too bad we can’t save these for your wedding.”

“Oh. My. God. I just told you about our agreement!”

“Yeah, I heard you, but you need to read the article.”

“Just give me the gist of it.”

“Oh shit, Barney! Gotta go, he
just tipped over the plant.” She hangs up.

She must think I’m a moron. Her dog, Barney, is so well-trained, there’s no way he tipped over a plant.

I focus on the iPad on my lap, with what feels like a spotlight over it. “Screw it.”

I turn it on and open up the Buzz Wheel blog, glancing first at the time. Three minutes. But I don’t have to read it at all. The title and pictures say enough. “Principal Gets Dirty with the Coach.”

  Austin

The entire time I’m prepping Sunday dinner, Holly is in my head. The feel of her grip around my shaft, the silkiness of her desire, the soft cries that left her lips when she was close. For the thousandth time this afternoon, I push images of Holly and me in her bed last night from my thoughts.

Since the Founder’s Day party was yesterday, all my siblings are in attendance for this week’s Sunday dinner, which means that by the end of the night, each of us will probably be pissed off at someone. Big families, gotta love them.

Phoenix walks into the kitchen and flops down on a stool. “What are you making?”

“These are called vegetables.” I hold up a cucumber. “Cu-cum-ber.” She rolls her eyes, but I hold up a tomato. “To-ma-to.”

“You’re so annoying.” She walks over to the fridge and opens it to find all the meat I’m barbequing. “Eww, you need to warn me.” The fridge door slams shut.

“I can see why that might disgust you, you know, what with you becoming a vegetarian last month and all.” I chop the lettuce and put it in the bowl. “Funny that you don’t eat meat or vegetables, so what do you eat? Surviving on bean burritos down at Taco Bell?”

“Why do I even bother with you?” She rolls her eyes and goes to sit back down on the stool.

“Because you love me.” I slice the cucumber, eyeing her on the other side of the breakfast island. There’s a reason she’s lingering. God only knows what it could be.
