“Who are you?” I asked, meta-low, committing the name to memory. Julie Blair. I said it in my head again as I wiped the mirror.
My face stared back for just a moment before it fogged back over, and all I could see was a smile. Then, so quietly that I knew no one could hear me, with the possible exception of the man watching me, across time and distance, I whispered, meta-low:
“Thank you, Harry.”
Then I set about getting ready for my day, wondering, all the while, who Julie Blair was and why she was important to me.
And equally certain that eventually…I was going to find out.
