But when he talked to her about it she hardly mentioned that stuff. What scared her the most and continued to scare her was the vivid memory of John fighting for his life and Frank trying to strangle him. He was almost out and she thought that he was going to be lost forever.
Cheryl told him that was what her dreams were mostly about. In the dream he passes out and then Frank sticks the knife into his throat before he comes for her to do unspeakable things to her.
John had tried everything to set her mind at ease on that, but he knew that time was the only thing that would ever heal those wounds and they were willing to take that time and be there for each other.
The wedding was only two months away and they had so much to do to get ready. John was feeling a bit overwhelmed, but Cheryl was fine with everything.
“Ready to go inside?” Cheryl asked.
“Yea,” John said.
The two walked back inside hand in hand and twice as strong as ever before.
