A Dangerous Love 3: Undeniable Desires Page 8

“You know King? Blaze introduced you to his friends?” She asked and I shook my head.

  “No, King’s my brother.”

“Sholl is, you look just like his ass. How the hell I miss that? Why the hell I didn’t know this when King’s hungry butt always over eating up my damn food?”

  Sounds like King.

“That’s King for you. I charge to feed him, he eat too much. Fifteen dollars a meal because he’s lazy butt is not going to go to nobody’s store and grocery shop. So I charge him, Sam, and Blaze fifteen bucks,” I told her.

“Damn, that’s smart. I’m about to start doing that shit. They always over there eating.”

I laughed because I knew how they were. Her phone soon started ringing and when she answered it I got up, going to the front counter.

“Welcome to Jimmy’s. How many I help you?” The woman asked.

“Yeah, can I get a number six with extra mayo, mustard, onions, both hot and sweet peppers with a Pepsi?” I ordered.

“Medium or Large? And is that for here or to go?”

“Large, and to go.” Paying for the food, I got my receipt then went back to the table. “What’s wrong?” I asked while sitting down, watching as the glare slowly left her face.

“That damn Britt working my ass about a car. Britt and her dad into it and she comes calling me. I ain’t got shit to do with that. Damn man spoils the hell outda her. If you and Blaze want kids just take Britt’s spoiled ass,” she insisted with an attitude.

I laughed while shaking my head. “No, ma’am. I would have to pop her eyes out. Marcus a good one, not I,” I said, making her laughing as she agreed.

  “You know my husband, Marcus?”

“Yeah. I use to go to his gym when I was younger and I ran into them once. I was waiting on Marcus to pop her. If that was my dad, I’d be wearing my head backwards.” Taking a sip from my drink, a small smile formed on my lips as I drank from my straw.

Hearing it from his moms mouth that he actually liked me made a big difference. And with her telling me about him, I understood Blaze a bit. It changed my decision on calling it quits. Maybe we could start a friendship and see where that went. Even knowing his story, I wasn’t ready to jump head first into anything with him right then.

“We’ll, maybe your dad can teach Marcus how to grow some balls when it comes to that little girl” she said.

My smile dimmed a bit at her words, but she didn’t know. “Oh, my dad didn’t have balls when it came to giving me whatever I wanted. He’d break his back tryna get it. He just wouldn’t have me talking to him every which way and rolling my neck and eyes at him. He wasn’t having that,” I said with a laugh. “But he passed, both him and mom, eight years ago.”

“Oh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know,” she began saying, but I waved her off.

“It’s fine. You didn’t know, but I have King. Being with him at times, it’s like my dad never left.” Which was true with King being overprotective and controlling, he was just like our dad.

“I like you. I see why Blaze fell for you. You’re strong and I think you can handle him. Well, I know you can. Whenever you two work this bullshit out, it doesn’t give you the right to start putting yo damn hands back on my Boon. I’m against him hitting girls, but you be fuckin’ him up. Yo violent little ass, you got one mo time to send Booney over to my house all beat up and we gon’ have it out.”

What the hell has he been telling her?

“I do not be beating on him. And if I put my hands on him that’s because of his crazy ass. He be tryna treat me like I’m these scary folks he deal with. I’m not them nor am I scared of him. Sometimes I have to punch Blaze,” I admitted, making her laugh as her phone started ringing.

“Punching and smashing a glass cup on his head is two different things.” She looked down at her phone after she said that.

My eyes went wide, I couldn’t believe he told her that. Why would he do that?

“I’m on my way, damn,” she snapped into the phone before hanging it up. “Damn, that man and little girl is working my ass. Let me get to this damn lot before those two kill each other. It was really nice to finally meet you, Ms. Peaches. And I hope you consider giving Boon stupid ass another chance.” Getting up out our seats, she pulled me into a hug, which I gladly returned.

“You too. It was nice… Is it Mrs. Carter or…?”

“Girl, call me Bianca or momma, either one is cool.” We pulled back and I laughed.

We walked to the counter so I could get the food I ordered.

“Hopefully we can do this again Bianca—”

“Or momma is fine.” This lady is too much. “Talk to Blaze,” she said, and I nodded my head.

  I plan to.

“I will, I promise.” I stopped talking once her phone started ringing again. “You better go before they send out a search party.” We walked out of Jimmy’s, going to our cars when a thought came to me. “You’re going to Blaze’s lot?” Looking at me, she rolled her eyes.

“Hell no. He won’t give her the car she wants so they’ve been lookin’ elsewhere. Damn girl been begging his black ass for the longest. His lot’s the only one out here that has it. I swear I can’t stand him sometimes,” Bianca fussed.

All I did was shake my head as I waved at her. “Bye, Bianca.”

“Or momma, whichever, it don’t matter. Wait, give me your number so I don’t have to search all over town lookin’ for you.” Laughing, I called out my number to her and then got in my car as did she. I let her pull off first. I’d seen her drive and she couldn’t. I wanted my baby safe. As I waited for her to pull out of the parking lot, I grabbed my phone.

“Carter’s Motors, this is Tishana. How may I help you?’

“See, how you gon’ answer the phone with an attitude? I need to report yo ass,” I said, laughing.

  “Who is this?” Tishana asked.

  “Peaches.”

“Oh, hey. Please report me because if I have to deal with this bipolar nigga, I’ma stab his ass with my pen,” she said, sounding irritated. But that was nothing new, Blaze was always pissing her off.

“Is he there?” I asked her as I left Jimmy’s, heading in the direction of Blaze’s lot.

“Yep, just pulling up,” she said.

Immediately my stomach tightened as I quickly became nervous.

  Chapter 10

  Peaches

I pulled into the entrance way. With a quick glance around the parking lot, I saw his truck parked on the sidewalk in front of the big window by the door. I pulled right behind him.

I turned off my car, grabbed the food and drink, and got out at the same time he did. When he saw me, Blaze seemed to have frozen for a second with his brows furrowing.

“Hey.” Maybe it wasn’t a good idea, I should’ve called him before popping up there. “I should go—”

“N’all, you good. Just surprised to see yo ass here,” he said as he grabbed my arm.

“I figured you hadn’t ate, so I bought you something— What?” I asked as he looked at the bag funny.

“You bringing me something to eat, that’s what. Yo ass tryna kill me?” The seriousness in his voice had me laughing. “You laughing, I’m dead ass serious. Yo ass know them untraceable ass drugs that can kill a nigga.” He was so serious.

Laughing, I rolled my eyes. I sat the bag of food on the hood of my car. Putting the straw in the cup, I started drinking it.

“Ain’t nobody trying to kill you, want me to bite the sandwich too?” I asked and laughed again as he started nodding his head. “Are you serious, Blaze?”

“Hell yea. I ain’t eating that shit unless you do.” He folded his arms over his chest and leaned into my car, watching me.

With a shake of my head, I grabbed the sandwich and took a big bite out of it.

  “Bite the other end too.”

Seeing the playfulness in his light brown eyes, I hit him. “Why you playing? You get on my nerves.” Laughing, I leaned against my car
next to him.

“That shit smells good, what’s that?” He asked, taking the sandwich from me.

“Roast beef, heavy on the mayo, mustard, onions, hot and sweet peppers. Did I get it right?” I asked, watching as he took a big bite.

“Don’t try to act like you know what I like.” He took another bite and nodded his head as a small smile came to his lips.

I hated this. I shouldn’t have gone to see him and now that I was there I didn’t want to leave. It felt like nothing had changed between us, like the past few months never happened.

Blaze wrapped up the sandwich and put it back in the bag as I stepped in front of him.

I stood there, debating on how I should get the mayo off the corner of his mouth.

Standing on my tips, I leaned closer to him letting the tip of my tongue swipe over the sauce before licking over his bottom then top lip. Blaze’s mouth opened and my tongue slid through his parted lips.

Pulling me to him, his mouth opened wider as he began kissing me back. His hands held onto my waist tightly, holding me to him.

“Blaze, the fuck you doing? Like I ain’t even right here, though. Fo’real?” Hearing her voice, I started laughing as I pulled away from Blaze to look at the yellow bitch and decided to answer her questions.

“Kissing me. And you weren’t right here, but in the truck. And it felt real, but I don’t know. Maybe I should kiss him again just to make sure it was.” Grabbing the back of Blaze’s neck, I kissed him again, not surprised that he kissed me back. I pulled back, then looked at her while licking my lips. “Yep, most definitely real. I’ll wait inside while you deal with yo hoe,” I told him while grabbing the bag of food, but ended up dropping it as that bitch ran up swinging. She hit me in the jaw almost making me lose my footing.

The bitch had me on my car trying to work my ass, she got some good hits, though. Rolling us over, my fist pounded into her face, hitting harder than the one before. I felt arms go around me.

“Get the fuck off me!” Shaking Blaze off, I grabbed that bitch by the back of the head, then slammed her face into the back of Blaze’s truck, once then twice. Blaze grabbed me from behind again, but I wasn’t letting that bitch go. Grabbing her hair, I jerked her ass with us while my fist started pounding against the side of her face.

“Peaches, let her the fuck go, man, damn!” He wasn’t saying shit I was tryna hear. That bitch gon’ run up on me while I was walking away? Fuck they do that at? You would think after that last ass whoopin’ she would’ve learned. But n’all, she wanna get buck. “Peaches, let her go!”

“Dumb bitch wanna run up, bitch I’ll kill yo fuck ass,” I yelled, not once stopping my swinging or loosening my grip on her hair. That bitch was gon’ be bald and bloody once I was done with her ass. Blaze wasn’t making the shit any better for her ass because every time he jerked me back I yanked her ass with me.

“Peaches, man, damn, let her go!” Pushing us into my car, Blaze let me go before squeezing his big ass between us. I hit him hard as hell by accident. “Peaches, you hit me again I’ma knock you the fuck out,” he snapped as he pried my hands from Krystal.

“N’all, fuck that! Come on, you bitch—”

“Krystal, shut the fuck up. I don’t even know why yo dumbass came at her like that in the first place,” Blaze started, and she rocked his ass.

  Oh, hell no!

Running around Blaze, I ran up on her ass, swinging. “Bitch, hit ’em again!” Before I could get her ass good like I wanted to, I was being picked up and carried away from that bitch. Going into the building, Blaze carried me to his office, dropping me in a chair.

“Seat yo ass here and cool the fuck off. I’ll be back,” he snapped at me.

Rolling my eyes, I looked away from him.

“Peaches, I ain’t playing. Don’t leave this damn office.” Once he left, I sat there for a few minutes before getting up and walking out the door. “The fuck you going.”

A small scream left my mouth and I jumped.

“You scared the shit outda me, the fuck you doing with that bitch anyway?” I asked as he pushed me back in the office.

“It ain’t shit like that, man. But you i’ight?” He asked, wiping at my forehead.

“Yeah, I am. I shouldn’t have come here in the first place—”

“Peaches, don’t do that shit, man. Let me get rid of her and I’ll be right back,” he said, walking to the door. Getting up, I started walking behind him. “Fuck you goin’?”

I pushed past him only to have him grab me. “I’m just going to get my purse and keys, dang. I’m not going anywhere. Keep actin’ like that, Blaze, I’ma think you missed me,” I told him while pulling my arm from him.

“Fuck you,” was his smart remark as he pushed me from behind.

“Stop, Blaze. If yo hoe come at me I’ma fuck her ass up,” I told him as we walked into the front.

“Peaches, yo ass was wrong for beating ol’ girl ass like that.” Tishana said, making me roll my eyes.

“I didn’t even start that shit. I was about to walk in here when she ran up on me. I didn’t come here to fight her. I wasn’t even fuck’d up about her ass being here,” I told her truthfully. I wasn’t messed up about her ass. She was just an in the moment hoe because I wasn’t around. And apparently she ain’t that fuckin’ important to him if he was kissing me knowing her dumbass was in the truck. Silly ass hoe.

“I saw her ass. Girl, I started recording when she got out the truck. Bitch, I got everything. Anyways, what’s goin’ on with you two?” She asked.

Shrugging, I started walking toward the door. “Blaze is an asshole,” I told her.

“No shit!” She called out, making me laugh.

“You gon’ let her do this to me? Blaze, you ain’t thought about that bitch, but now that she shows up— Fuck you laughing fah, you ugly ass bitch!” Krystal said. I swear she ain’t no when to shut up.

“Krystal, shut the fuck up, damn. She done already beat yo dumbass and you still gon’ talk shit. Peaches, get yo shit then go back in the office and wait fah me,” Blaze said as I got in my car. “If you pull off I’ma beat yo ass, Peaches.” Sticking my middle finger up at him, I grabbed my purse. “Bitch, you better keep yo fuckin’ hands off me. Fuck wrong with you?” I heard Blaze saying, followed by a loud slap.

She better listen to his ass because if she hit him again I’ma tag that ass.

“Blaze, don’t be fuckin’ hitting me. What the hell you mean don’t pull off? She can go inside while I always got to wait out here in this hot ass truck?” She snapped, pushing him and I laughed while shaking my head.

“I can be an ugly ass bitch all day, but it ain’t gon’ change the fact you’re still an irrelevant ass hoe. I told yo duck ass that when I first found out about yo ass. It don’t matter if we’re not together, yo ass ain’t gon’ ever be official. You just a distraction for a moment, that’s all you are, sweetie.

“Best believe if you call it quits he ain’t gon’ be fuck’d up. He gon’ take his triflin’ ass out and find another dumbass bitch just like you to distract him from thinking about me,” I told her. And if looks could kill I would’ve been dead from the murderous glare she was giving me. Rolling my eyes at her, I went to walk to the door and saw her move. But Blaze quickly grabbed her.

“Bitch, you ain’t shit. He ain’t thought about yo hoe ass—”

“Krystal, shut the fuck up, damn. Look, yo ass can sit here and wait until I’m done or walk yo ass home. I don’t give a fuck which you choose,” he told her and again I laughed.

“Like I said before, I’m where it’s at and he knows that. Blaze, I’ll be waiting inside once you done with yo hoe.” Waving at her, I walked into the building.

  Chapter 11

  Peaches

“Y’all some entertaining mothafuckas, real shit. I thought I was gon’ see another fight,” Tishana said, putting her phone down, making me laugh.

  “He gon’ fire you.”

  Smacking her lips, sh
e flipped her hand. “I’m not worried about Blaze ass or his threats. I’m his best damn worker—”

“No the fuck you ain’t. Peaches, what I tell you about talkin’ to her crazy ass,” Blaze said as he came in. Turning toward him, I laughed as I saw ol’ girl in the truck pouting like a fuckin’ kid. Dumb bitch, I swear, ain’t no way I’d wait for him while he went off with another chick.

“Says you. Speaking of crazy, I met a Bianca today,” I left it at that as I stared at a confused Blaze.

“Blaze, yo momma, you dumbass,” Tish said, hitting him.

“Hit me again, I’ma slap the fuck outda you,” Blaze said, glaring at her.

I grabbed his wrist and started pulling him toward the office. Once inside, Blaze closed and locked the door as I kicked off my shoes, putting them to the side. I walked over to his desk chair, sitting down.

“My moms, what she do?” He asked, sitting at the edge of the desk a few spaces down from me.

“First, she chased me down in her car, blowing the horn like a psycho. Then she snapped at me about beating your ass and calling it quits. Then basically called me a dumbass, no she did call me a dumbass. I see where you get your mouth from, but she made me realize that even though we’re not dating, I don’t want you out of my life.

“No, no, no, don’t even smile, Blaze,” I laughed as he got that stupid smile on his face. “I want us to be friends for now. I don’t want to rush this, if it’s even a ‘this’ to us anymore. But I want to get to know you and vice versa,” I explained, looking away from the light brown eyes that I’d grown so accustom to as I felt myself getting sucked into him.

  We’re too close.

Getting up from my seat, I walked around the desk. I took a deep breath as I tried to get myself together.

“So you’re not mad no more?” Blaze asked.

Turning to look at him, he was now sitting in his chair. “I was never mad, hurt, but not mad. Did you actually hear the shit you said to me?” I asked him.

“I said it, didn’t I?” The attitude his voice held had my eyes rolling up in my head.

“Saying and hearing it is two different things. Did you mean it?” My eyes locked with his, waiting for any sign that said he was lying.
