Rubbing the crème into the fresh welts on my ass, he is so tender after the caning, that it shows me his love for me. He hasn’t said it since that night those years ago, but I can tell by his actions that he is in love with me, as I am with him. Building this relationship back up, and having him build one with his son, is something that I am really looking forward to being able to be a part of.
Slowly and gently rolling me over, Vincent swings himself off of the bed and starts to strip off his pants. Watching him with lust in my eyes, he slowly climbs back onto the bed and over me, taking my mouth fiercely with his. Wasting no time, he slides into me and fucks me to the edge of orgasm.
Continuing his assault, I look up into his eyes as he slowly comes to a halt, still buried deeply inside of me. Looking into his brown eyes, I am at a loss for the emotions that are running through me. The love that I feel for this man, who has loved me despite my repeated mistakes, and who has never doubted that we should be together in the years that we were apart.
Vincent answers my unasked questions and thoughts “Yes, Ofiara, I love you as much today as I have loved you every day before for the past five years. There is nothing to do now, except put ink on you and say our vows in front of Preach. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned, because having you fat with my child is something that you better get used to, I see it happening frequently in the near future.”
~Chapter Thirty-Five~
~Doc
Within the first weeks after I’m done taking care of Clutch, I have Gun put ink on Ember, before even Markus and Abraham are able to get theirs on Pearl. I took it to the brothers at the first Church we had after the accident. It is also at that Church that Tank got reinstated as VP, while I had a severe warning about the rules, regulations, and procedures that we take when something happens within the MC. I know that the brothers have gone very easy on me, and that they all understand how much of a strain I was under during that time, especially Tank and Blaze.
Ember’s tattoo turned out just as beautiful, colorful, and special as the woman who is wearing it. The property of banner on the top and Doc banner on the bottom are both done in very elegant script with a heart and flames in the middle, similar in style to mine. The tattoo is in the middle of her upper back and is actually quite large, covering up the majority of the width of her back. No one will doubt who this gorgeous spitfire belongs to.
Gun drew it up for us, and we both fell in love with it the moment we saw it. She had talked about bringing Sara with to get the ink, but something soured with Gun as soon as she mentioned Sara to me, and it was dropped right quick. I know that something went down between Gun and Sara while he was watching her those years back, but he has not mentioned anything to me about it. Ember, however, has filled me in on some of the sordid details. It seems that we are not the only ones that have had, or will have, a rough road before them.
Ember filled me in that they had fucked, then dated for about six months before Sara left for New Orleans. Sara obviously couldn’t tell him where she was headed or that she was leaving, so they were left on similar terms that Ember and myself were left on. I know the pain that can come from such a situation. I pity Gun for the turmoil that he must be going through, remembering the hell that I went through.
Over the next few weeks Ember, Little Vincent, and I start to build up on our foundation as a family. Looking for a house that we will be able to grow in, spending time with Little Vincent getting to know my son, spending time with Ember getting reacquainted with the woman that I love and even being able to play with her at the Dungeon.
The house that we end up buying is a four-bedroom beast of a house in the outskirts of Chicago. It takes Ember about twenty minutes to get to downtown to her social work job. It takes me about as long to get to the Clubhouse. However, we are located only a short drive from the new house that Blaze, Tank, and Pearl have bought for themselves. Luckily, our ladies have formed a very close bond over these past months and it is something that we all are looking forward to watching blossom, both in and out of the Dungeon.
Little Vincent and I are really starting to sync as well. He was shy at first, but has really started to open up the more we hang out. I make sure that I am the one taking him with me whenever possible to strengthen up our bond. I also make sure that he is a part of any decisions that Ember and I make as a family, like when we bought the new house, or if we were going to get a dog (we did), what color his room would be (green), things like that. He should be going to daycare, but the days that there is little call for me to go in to the Clubhouse, I have no problem calling out and spending time with him doing things together.
One day as I was picking him up from daycare he talked me into taking him to the park on our way home. Calling Ember to let her know that we would be late as we pulled up to the park had me longing to see her ripe with my baby. Shaking the thoughts from my mind I head over with Vincent by the swings. Before he could even ask to be pushed on the swing, he is hopping up on the seat and I am at the ready behind him. Pushing him on the swings for about an hour I am rewarded with hugs and laughs and the joy that only two people bring to my life.
Ember and I are coming into our own as a couple as well. She is able to deal with my work and has no qualms trying to put me in my place when she sees fit. Which has only brought out that temper a few times since she has been back in my life. I, in turn, have no problems putting her in her place, which happens much more frequently. Her place, of course, is to be over a bench, on the cross, or over my knee. Which happens with more frequency than she really needs, but we are still testing the waters between each other and seeing how our D/S relationship will work.
~Chapter Thirty-Six~
~Ember
Pulling up to the Clubhouse ten weeks after the accident, I know what we are in store for, Abraham and Markus have set up a surprise party for Pearl. It is her first night out since Rebel had come and they are planning to put ink on her, and on papers with her as well.
I am overwhelmed seeing them together to this day. The love that those men have for her is something that I have been lucky to witness, and to find as well. Those years that I was alone, I never thought that we would be here, together with matching ink waiting to get married, and expand on our family.
Vincent helps me and Sara out of the truck, then we make our way to the doors. It will be a long night for me, seeing that I can’t drink and have felt like complete shit for the past six weeks. Being pregnant through the holidays will be good, at least I will be able to eat my weight in all those good meals, right? We just went to the doctor for the first ultrasound yesterday, and baby bean looks good. The Doctor gave us a due date at the end of February. We are excited to be able to go through this pregnancy together, seeing that the first one we spent apart.
We haven’t shared the news yet, I really want to be able to tell Pearl, I am just not sure if she is in a good place with everything yet. Having to have a hysterectomy without warning, and not being able to have any more kids has been a hard thing for her to deal with. Whenever we are able to get together, I have to bite my tongue to keep it from her, to the point that she is starting to suspect that I am keeping something from her. Fucking Doms and Dommes can read me like a book.
Sara has not been to the Clubhouse since she moved away, and she is scared and excited to be heading in now. She knows enough of the older members that she will not have a hard time feeling comfortable here. She has also formed a great friendship with Pearl in the weeks since the accident.
As we settle in by the bar, I notice Gun setting up his tattoo equipment in the middle of the room.
As the party starts to get going and it comes into full swing, I notice Tank, Blaze, and Pearl walking into the Clubhouse. As Pearl looks around the Clubhouse, I can tell the moment that she sees what is laid out before her.
Moving forward, I hear Markus speak to Pearl, “it is time that we got our ink on you. We have waited long enough and we will not wait any longer, so sit
down and bare that gorgeous back of yours to us.” Straddling the back of the chair, she slowly pulls the straps down over her shoulders and hugs her arms around the seat.
When the buzzing of the tattoo gun starts, I am taken back to the tattoo that I had so recently received. Doc’s mind went to the same place and his hand is slowly placed on my back while he starts rubbing small circles into my tattooed flesh.
Getting up with help from her men, Pearl looks over to Gun who is showing her a picture of the tattoo he has taken on his phone. It is really a gorgeous tattoo and has bits of both Markus and Abraham in it. The smile that spreads on Pearl’s face lets everyone in the room know that she is proud to belong to these men.
As Gun steps away from his mock tattoo station, I see him speaking with a young woman, and am saddened that he has not decided to talk with Sara since he found out that she was back. I have tried to approach him about it, but he has shut me down cold each time. Looking to Sara, who has slowly made her way up to me as I was watching Pearl get her tattoo, I see the moment that she registers the scene before her. As Gun turns slowly, his gaze lands on Sara, and the fireworks that fly between the two of them are fucking fierce.
Instead of ignoring each other, Gun storms toward Sara, grabs her hand and pulls her behind him down the hall towards the brother’s rooms. Starting to move after them, I am stopped by a sudden tug on my wrist from Doc. As I look towards him he only shakes his head no and says, “It is between them Ember, don’t think about it. Gun wouldn’t do anything to hurt Sara, they just need to work their issues out.” Reaching a hand out to my ass and gripping it tightly he adds, “You remember when we needed to work through our issues, it is just something that needs to happen.”
Unhappily, I nod my acceptance and our attention is quickly drawn towards Abraham, who is now the one talking and not a soul in this place speaks as he begins. “We have brought Pearl here tonight to not only get our ink onto her, but put ink to paper as well. Preach has agreed to perform the ceremony, and you will all be here as our witnesses.” Turning to Pearl he goes on, “Pearl, here in front of the brothers, we will exchange our vows and make this shit legal. Now.”
Turning from Abraham to Markus, Pearl looks surprised and shocked to see Markus stepping off to the side as Abraham comes to stand beside her. Pulling her into him he goes on, “We have decided that I will be your legal husband, Pearl. Know that in our eyes, or the eyes of anyone who knows us, however, there is no distinction between Markus and I, he is just as much your husband as I am about to be.”
Nodding her head in agreement, they move a few short steps towards Preach, who steps forward with a book in his hand. Only then does Markus return and takes his place at Pearl’s other side. Running quickly through the vows, Preach touches all the high points, before telling them to kiss. As cheers come from all the brothers, and the men take turns kissing their new bride. Doc and I make our way back to the bar.
Looking up through the crowd, I see Pearl heading towards us with a glow to her that is so nice to see. The smile grows on her face the closer that she gets to us. As she stands in front of us, she looks to Doc, silently asking his permission to hug me. Nodding his head without pause, Pearl throws her arms around me and hugs me tightly.
As she releases me from her tight grip, we hear Markus shout out over the crowd. “Let’s get this shit started, brothers. It has been a long road, but things are finally looking up. Abraham and I have inked our old lady and tied her down to us forever, now it’s time to fucking party.”
Turning towards the bar, Pearl orders two shots of Jack and hands one towards me. Looking to her and then to Doc and back, she chuckles and drinks both shots in quick succession.
“Ember, you should never try to hide anything from anyone. It is written all over your face and has been since the day you found out six weeks ago.” Throwing her arms around me again she goes on, “Congratulations on the baby, I’m so happy for you both.”
Letting go, she turns to Doc and throws her arms around him in congratulations as well, and that is when I hear a low growl behind me.
“Doc, get your hands off of our woman. We have only just put our ink on her and said our vows and you can’t wait to…”
Pearl cuts in quickly, “Shut it, Blaze. He was just congratulating me as we should be doing to them. Ember and Doc are expecting a baby, Blaze. I was congratulating them. Gawd, you have no bend when it comes to me touching another man.”
“Don’t try me Pet, not on our wedding night. I have little control over the raging hard-on that I have had for ten weeks, so we might just rip you apart tonight.” He says slapping her on the ass.
Smiling as she looks from Doc to Blaze and back, she again congratulates us before heading away from us to make their way through the room.
Knowing that our time to get married is drawing closer brings me so much joy. Especially watching Pearl, Markus, and Abraham together. Spinning the ring on my forth finger, that is now a constant addition to my wardrobe, I am still in awe that he kept it for the five years that we were apart. Fuck, that he even had it before we were apart shocked me.
As we end the night early, I am only left wondering what has, or is happening, between Sara and Gun. Hoping that their relationship is strong enough to withstand the decisions that have been made, as both Pearl’s and my own have been.
-The End-
Until we meet again.
Want to know what is upcoming from GM Scherbert?
Here is a tentative playlist or “writelist” so that you can be in the loop.
---Up next in the journey of the Devil’s Iron MC series will be:
First, a short story for an anthology that I am lucky enough to be part of…. It is still under hush hush, but if we are friends on Facebook or you follow my author page you will get first-hand knowledge of release dates, teasers, and up to date details. This anthology piece will be a follow up and include all five of the main characters from the first four books that you have fallen in love with.
Down the road a wee bit will come Gun and Sara’s story. Beginning with them fighting the passions that drew them together and following them through her departure from Chicago and return almost three years later. Will their love be strong enough to survive a stubborn head-strong woman and the man that is obsessed with having her?
---Sometime before the new year the follow up story to the Fu*k Cancer anthology piece that I wrote, Shannon’s Silence, will be released as well. The follow up book, Unbroken Fates, will follow a grieving spouse on their journey of love, loss, and rediscovery. Of course not in a tradition way, if you know me!
Fu*k Cancer is an amazing collection of stories that go to benefit a cancer survivor. If you have not gotten your hands on it- you really should.
If you haven’t had the chance to read my part of the anthology, here is the blurb for Shannon’s Silence.
Alex and Shannon fell in love in college. Sixteen years and three beautiful daughters later, they’re still the perfect couple, the kind who makes you sick at their constant shows of love and affection, living their dreams out in suburban Chicago.
Having an ideal life was all they knew.
Then the “C” word was introduced to their family.
This is a story of love and loss.
This is one family’s struggle with Cancer.
