Pulling myself away from him, fighting the ecstasy that was his touch. I looked him in the eyes, looking deep into the purple depths of him. My green eyes reflected at me.

“My human form family, I’m worried about them. Last I left them they were in the hospital surrounded by guardians from the council. You don’t think they will hurt them do you?” my eyes still in pain as if trying to keep crying.

“If your really that worried why don’t we check on them. If I remember correctly you have a scry bowl in the closet right?” he asked looking at me, not taking his eyes off me.

I shook my head, not really knowing what I was doing. I felt like what he was saying was right. I just sat on the edge of the bed, looking at him. He walked over to the closet in his now naked glory, I hadn’t realized he was completely naked in the bed already. His body looked solid, almost chiselled out of rock, almost like a statue. Even just glancing at his body made my mouth water, my body tense up. It was beyond what I thought possible, I wanted him right here and now. After all he was mine, I could just take him.

“Can you grab the liquid please,” he asked me, as he turned holding the small black obsidian bowl. I just about chocked on my own saliva and tongue. My body temperature rose, my heart beat pounded.

“You okay?” he asked looking concerned, “Your heart rate accelerated do you need anything,” he finished as he sat next to me.

Heart pounding in my chest, I looked up at his face. “You, all I ever need if you,” I said in such a low tone, it was almost a whisper.

Out lips met immediately, dropping the bowl on the edge of the be. He wrapped his arm around my body, lifting me into the air, laying me back down on the pillows. He kissed me passionately. It felt like we lay there forever, kissing, it was magical. His hand sliding up my side, he gripped my hair, pulling me closer to his face.

  Chapter 10

  Palace Etiquette

Turing my head to the right to see the lamp knocked over, the drawer open ajar. The clock on the floor as if it was thrown across the room. Blinking my eyes slowly, maybe the room would resent if I blinked, maybe it was a dream. Nothing in the room changed, it was beautiful. I lifted my head slightly to see the pillow I was sleeping on was ripped to shreds, falling apart at the seems.

A knock at the door, startled me. Turning to see who was at the door, it was a guard, knocking not urgently but as if it was important I woke now. I leapt off the bed, shuffling my feet across the floor to the closet, something felt heavy. Like it was dragging on the floor.

I looked at the bed sheet I now draped over the front of my body, but as I continued to shuffle staring at my feet I noticed something different, a feather like piece of the bed stuck to me. It must have came off the cover last night. Stepping on it with my left foot to pull it off. I slid my foot forward pulling the feather, it was stuck on. I managed to grab it with my toes, this time pulling it hard, I ripped it from what I thought was my foot.

“OH MY GOD, SON OF A MOOSE!” I screamed in pain, breathing heavily. My face prickling again, wishing I could cry. I had ripped a feather out of my wings, it was excruciating, it felt like I ripped a nail off my hand.

As I dropped the sheet, Desmond sat up in the bed, the guard broke the door down, standing in the door way.

All of three things happened within seconds from each other, the guard lifted his wing covering his eyes. Gabriella, Solena and Simone walked by the room stopping to see what happened, the girls covering their eyes while Simone’s face flushed red. Desmond came to stand next to me, gripping my face in his hands, “Are you okay, what hurt you?” his breath was sweet, as it washed against my face.

I looked down at the long draping wings from Desmond’s back. They looked like giant bat wings, leathery, and glossy black in color with little fur dotting around the back of them.

Pointing to his back, I looked down at my now wrapped wings around my body. I had hurt them, and I could still feel their pain. I flexed them in front of my body, petting them almost as if to apologize to them.

“Yes, they appeared last night in the middle of everything, it was magical last night. As if millennia hasn’t past since the last time.” Desmond said, ignoring everyone at the door.

The guard spoke in its high sing song voice, each note as if words to the ears.

“Master Zephyr, Hecate has requested leave. She is getting impatient,” he finished before turning to take his leave.

“Yes, I’m sorry we will be right there,” I said turning around to get dressed. “You guys need to get ready for Hecate’s departing, please get everyone into their formal robes. Queen Hecate believe everyone’s eyes need to see the best you all the time,” I said waving my hands to them as if to shoo them forward.

“You too,” I said pointing at Desmond and his still naked form.

He looked me in the eyes, lifting his hand to solute me as if I was commanding him. I knew he meant it as a joke, but I still slapped him for it.

Everyone gathered in the thrown room, this time I took my spot on the thrown. My guards standing next to me, one at each door as well. I sat with my crown upon my head, deep back titanium color with green emeralds placed on each point. My over cloak draped over my shoulders covering my wings, the green colored fabric with silver feathers bordering it. In my left hand a staff, long and slender, silver trim over the cherry colored wood. A large green diamond shaped in the top of the staff, as if the staff growing around and out of the diamond.

Desmond stood to my right with his gown, similar in style, only differing by colors. In a sheath attached to his belt a sword. The sheath was elegant in black gold and purple sapphires.

Simone, Solena, and Selena stood to the right as well, each dressed in the same gowns, each having different symbols, Simone a sword, Solena and Selena both with whips. Gabriella and Piper stood to the left of me, Gabriella had a sickled in her left hand, while Piper had a Trident in hers.

Everyone stood still, waiting for Hecate to request her leave. A loud rapping at the doors rang through the room. The guards keeping the doors opened them slowly.

A tall slender woman, with a bright star above her head came walking through the doors. Her high heels clicking against the floor, each step she took her guards made the exact step matching her. Her face was much younger, not a wrinkle. Her long black hair pulled tight into a high top bun, her dress more scant and beautifully draped off her features. She was an overly attractive goddess, I could see why mortals worshiped her.

“Masters I request my leave, it was generous of you to let me stay in my weakened form but I need to return to Yggdrasil, it pains me to be away for long periods of time,” Hecate’s deeper, husky, sultry voice echoed around the room. She blinked as her cat like eyes focused in on Desmond and myself.

“Zephyr and Ignis please forgive my rude behavior last evening, and please join me at Yggdrasil anytime. Should you need anything feel free to call upon me and my guards,” she said as she turned on her heal walking out the doors.

As the doors closed behind her Solena and Selena rushed to the doors, they seemed fascinated by how she was going to leave this realm with walking creatures when we had to fly.

“You have to be kidding me, half an hour of getting ready and dressed up like this for a five second thank you?” Simone said getting angry as if it was so much work to put on the cloak and sword.

“Simone you forget, you will remember one day soon,” I said looking at him with a smile on my face. If only he remembered his past lives, he may not like what was coming up.

“And besides why do you have all this stuff in your realm? Should we each not have this stuff in our own realms?” he asked sounding a little irritated by the thought of everything being in my realm.

“Simone, Gabriella we need to find Tyler and Kattrina next, they can help us open more memories,” I said motioning them towards us.

Piper followed them towards us, as Solena and Selena walked back into the room.

/>   “She has left now. What do we do next?” They said echoing each other, Piper motioned them towards Desmond and myself.

I placed my hands out, palm up to them. “Kade and I found out we could share memories last night. Kade wants to try and share them with you,” Desmond said as he wrapped a hand around my wrist.

“I’m sorry Kade but I don’t want to know what you did last night,” Gabriella said looking a little baffled I offered this suggestion.

“No, its nothing like that Gabriella,” laughing at her, I added quickly, “That stays between him and I. I found that when he touched me arms or hands I could suggest thoughts to him, even memories of our past.”

Each person placed their hands on my arms and palms, each sceptically as if not sure about this.

Taking a deep breath, I began thinking about our past. Our old lives, things they needed to remember. My memories flowed down my arms, hitting Desmond first his face lighting up. Piper ad Simone next, each time the memory hit, their face glowed with excitement. Everyone began letting go, each smiling.

“Do we understand now?” Desmond asked looking at each person, waiting for their responses.

“So how do we do this?” Piper asked looking at Simone and Myself. “How do we find the others, Kade was by accident,” She added, looking at Desmond.

She was right, I was by accident. Desmond was woken and able to track me once I was unbound.

“That’s a good question Piper, but Simone and I can kid anyone of us. Simone must have felt it to when I was unbound. He would have sensed completion. Our powers complete each other,” I said looking to Simone, he looked confused by my statement.

“I was only able to pick out where your powers were, I didn’t know what the others powers were. But I could try,” He said still looking at me like he was confused.

Thinking about the group and everyone, Piper, Elemental of water. Having the ability to control water in any form, to control the particles that make up water, in any setting. The ability to create water in an situation, unlike most magical creatures they need water present where Piper merely must will water to exist.

Gabriella, Elemental of death. Having the ability to control death, not just in the killing of creatures and the demons that accompany the dead, but so feel death, so manipulate the dead in any form she wishes. The extent of her powers virtually untapped, her limits unknown.

Desmond the exact opposite of Gabriella, Elemental of life. Control over the living in any form, his abilities amplified by the exchange of life and its many forms. The ability to breathe life into any creature if only for minutes or forever.

Simone, Elemental of fire, like Piper, with more power, untapped power behind him. Helping lead the group, he too holds the ability to manipulate the realms, a creator of all things.

Solena and Selena, Elementals of light and dark. Their powers primitive but still the ability to manipulate the energy around. Solena the ability to control light creatures, while Selena able to control dark or shadow creatures.

Our missing group was still large, their powers vast in types. Quart, Elemental of spirit, Tyler, Elemental of love. Kattrina, Elemental of earth, Ashley and Karen, Elementals of wood and metal. The limits of their powers unknown beyond what they have done in previous lives.

Everyone returning to their rooms, the day slipping by us. Solena and Selena spent the day in the city palace, walking the shops, meeting my people. Simone locked himself in is room, I assumed to find the others, he always took the failures personally, as if everything was his fault. Gabriella and Desmond took off to wander the realm, discussing the past. Having Desmond remember more than the others seemed to hurt them and yet keep them in good spirits.

I removed my clothes, sititng upright on the bed. My wings out stretched, taking aa deep breath. The obsidian bowl next to me.

Waving my hand from the bathroom to the bowl, “luos ym tcelfer rorrim eht retaw eht” water flowed from the bathroom faucet to the bowl, filling it up creating a large mirror surface. The wind blowing in the room gently as if turned the taps, moving the water.

Taking another deep breath, I flicked my right wrist. A powerful gust of wind blew the balcony door wide open, the curtains throwing around, the site beautiful. One final breath, mirror of the obsidian rippled, showing mom and dad.

“I hope Kade is doing okay. I miss him George, what did I do? Was it the right thing to do?” Mom said wrapping her arms around dad, her face red with tears.

They stood in the house I was at before the elf was killed. The house seemed like it was put back together again, watching them talk brought my face to quivering is sadness. My eyes prickling again, it was to much, I missed them so much.

“It’s been done Yasminnia, you cant undo it. Kade is strong, he has lived many many lives, he can survive,” dad said trying to sound confidant, but I could see in his eyes he was just as worried as she was.

Navaya walked past mom and dad, tidying the house as she went. The prickling stopped, I was concerned, how was she living again.

“Navaya, Kade never came back here? Your sure?” mom asked releasing her grip from dad, turning to the little house elf.

“No Mistress, he never came here. I was surprised Mistress Alexis was only with you. It has been years since seeing Master Kade.” She said, but as she turned away from mom and dad, she smiled. Her face showing her true form. It was a wigget, a tree spirit, known for transforming themselves into house elves to steal and murder unsuspecting creatures.

“Oh George, why did I do it! I just wanted my son back, and now he’s gone, what if the councils took him, they’ll kill him and the others,” she said turning to dad still crying.

“Yasminnia, stop blaming yourself. If Kade was taken we would know, it would only be a matter of time they came back for us like last time.” Dad said turning away from mom, heading up the stairs.

I took a deep breath out, watching the water ripple harder, but something strange happened. Mom’s hair flapped in the air, in the middle of the entry way, it didn’t look like the doors or windows were open. It was as if a gust of wind blew past her.

“Did you feel that George?” mom asked looked concerned.

Intrigued by the gust, I took another deep breath but this time I spoke as I blew into the water. “I love you” the words echoed a cross the water, rippling off the walls in the room.

“Did you hear that?” dad asked, looking at mom, her head shaking at him a wide grin across her face.

Blowing again, I wanted to tell mom about Navaya, but how, I cant whisper a sentence in the air. Then it hit me, “Wigget, Navaya, Pajama’s” I whispered as I blew into the bowl again, mom and dad looked at each other for a moment confused.

“Navaya, can you please grab Kade’s favorite Pajama’s. I just need to hold them, bring back some memories.” Mom asked watching as Navaya scurried up the stairs.

“What are you doing?” dad asked looking at mom like she was crazy.

“Kade wore the same pajama’s all the time because they were made by Navaya. They were his favorite because they were green and airy. Remember when we restocked the closets with Kade and Alexis’ current sizes, his favorite pair is still the six year old size. If she brings down the wrong pair, Kade know something we don’t. I have to believe him, have to believe those breezes are him whispering to us.” Mom said looking at dad, as she smiled to Navaya walking back down the stairs. A large pair of blue and green stripped suit Pajama’s in her hand.

“His favorite color, I remember him sitting by the fire on cold nights in these.” She said taking the last steps down the stairs.

Dad’s face distorted and changed, snapping and snarling as he transformed into his Were. Mom held her hand out, trapping Navaya in a spell. “I will give you one chance to tell us the truth or I will have George kill you,” she said her tone angry and enraged.

“What are you doing?” Navaya said sounding scared and weak.

  “George, a
ttack,” mom commanded as the spell released, dad wolf form lunged at Navaya.

It all happened so fast, Navaya’s form changed instantly, dad ripped into her face, the blood curdling scream. The bowl unable to follow the speed of the events.

“Thank you,” mom whispered, blowing a kiss into the air.

A knocking at the door startled me, tipping the water out of the bowl on to the bed. “Shit,” I said getting upset I couldn’t see my parents anymore.

“Who is it?” I said reflexably, knowing I could just look at the door and see who it was.

“Its me, can I come in?” Simone called through the door.

  Chapter 11

  Awakening

Sitting on the edge of my bed Simone opened about himself. Tears streaming down his face, his eyes red from the crying.

“How did Desmond do this?” Simone said looking up through his tears at me.

“I don’t know what you mean, I’m the wrong person to ask about that,” I said trying not to look him in the eyes. It was uncomfortable for me, I felt like I needed to cry with him. The prickling feeling drove me nuts.

Go figure the master of fire can shed water but the master of air can’t shed water at all. I was jealous of all the times my friends and family needed my tears and yet I couldn’t shed a drop. It made me feel so cold, people though of me cold and distant, almost stone-like.

Taking a breath, looking at him; his eyes flickering with his powers. The reds glinting deeper almost pulsing in color.

“Kade, I don’t know what’s happening with me now. Ever since Hecate called me “Inferno” my head has been swimming. Memories, images of someone, but its not who I am, how is that possible?” Simone asked, the tears dripping to his cheeks, burning up as the continued down.

Simone’s face was red in color, his body temperature hot, hot hands shook on his lap. His hair dripping with sweat as if feathered his face. His eyes pulsing and flickering with red but every so often they flickered with pink. Something inside him was exploding, almost entirely ripping him apart. Something was destroying him inside, almost completely ripping him apart.
