My children and I have fifty per cent of the money needed to cover the debts, I would like you four to find the rest, in doing so, and we would run the company, as the new board members.
I have a fantastic C.E.O in mind for the job and she will run a tight ship and bring it back to profit in no time, she was to be my replacement, for my company. I would like to hire her; join the two companies, under on banner, keep the two trading under the same names, but owned as a company, by my family and yourselves. It will be a very profitable merger and acquisition; the properties alone are worth the investment. We just have to sort out the very bad debts incurred and dodgy missing money, money the receivers cannot find, I have a funny feeling it’s in someone’s, Caiman Island bank?”
“I wouldn’t be C.E.O? What, that wasn’t what I agreed on, no I won’t have it, this is my company, you are a bitch Carrie Wright.”
“Sticks and stones Dylan, did you really think me stupid enough to give you my money, our children’s money, for you to carry on treating the hotel bank accounts as your own piggy bank and knocking shops?
Your Father didn’t trust you to run it; the board wanted you out. Did you forget the hours I worked, for nothing, and doing and you took credit for really did you? Dylan, you can’t run anything, you never could, and I did it all. I am not doing this to get back at you either, which is a bonus. How long did it take for your Father to realise it was me who did the running of his hotels, and not you?”
“Mum, you’re not right, Dad is good at his job, tell her Dad? Mum, you can’t sack him, we won’t let you will we Harry?”
“We will do what Mum says; to save the company he has ruined, the company Granddad, worked hard for, and one within a few months he has ruined she is right, our Mother is right.
You’re going down the same path, as he is; start using your bloody brain for once, the brain Mother worked damn hard, making sure it was as bright as it is. Use that and not your do dah. Granddad always knew you ran the hotels Mum; he wasn’t stupid, Dad is only in charge because he has Grandy, wrapped round his little finger, but even she is annoyed at him too now, losing her house.
Well she isn’t; because, I paid off the debt and she still has the roof over her head, were you just too busy bonking Dad’s girlfriend, to see what he was doing? Whilst we’re on about it, all the bonking you two, did of the same whore, well, neither of you are its Dad; she was pregnant before you even slept with her. I saw the pee stick test; and heard her telling the bloody father, David Feld, a board member, seems he just wanted a bit of payback for Dad sleeping with his wife and daughter, and didn’t want it or her anymore, and to pin it on some other gullible fool, and she did, you!
Mum, I am sorry but we were stupid and believe the lies he told us; but we were as bad. We did like the life style, and the cars, the pretty dresses and the holidays. You, well you wanted to keep us in the house with you all the time, and they offered us the freedom, you denied us, and don’t sulk, you know you did!
We rebelled and in the confusion and the mess, we acted like spoilt brats and for that I’m sorry, Granddad, said that weekend I should just come and see you, well then he died and I was depressed. I loved getting the musical box and Dylan cried when you sent his stuff too, sorry Mum, can we start over?” Oh, heck yes, the strong and fierce executive now a bawling idiot. The others round the table having just listened agreed to back me, Gillard, smiling at Dylan all the time, a grin came across my face!
“Lady C, I believe that concludes, our business for today, and I look forward to seeing you again.” Dylan seniors face was a picture. I waited for the recognition, and sure enough it came, he smiled as he was about to tell a crowded room, I had given him a blowjob, weeks ago. Before he could Gillard had a word in his ear and he slumped to the chair, don’t think that was what he wanted to hear, he’d been blown by Gillard!
“That was my payback, seeing Gillard enjoy himself, at your request, so can you clear your desk. This was a pleasant bonus.”
The receivers who had sat through the financial, meetings and had our written guarantees, to clear all the company debts, were willing to sign over the company. I had everything I wanted, the children agreed to sit down to dinner and we talked, really talked. I showed them pictures of my elegant marriage to Jack, in the classy setting of the Vegas wedding chapel, married by Elvis and Pricilla, much to Harriet’s delight. Dylan had cancelled the wedding, and Jennifer George was history too. I didn’t tell them, about the baby, I wanted to tell Jack first.
CHAPTER 17
I had everything I had ever wanted; I had had my revenge on all the people who had messed with my life, those whom had made it the mess it was. I was speaking again, to my children. They weren’t children though and as I spoke to them at dinner last night, I realised we were strangers, my children, were now willing to allow me into their world again. Something to smile about finally and I was going meeting the biggest reason to smile in one hour.
I had a busy few weeks of sorting out the Somersby- Smyth Hotels, as well as continuing with mine. I’m now a part of the biggest hotel chain in the country, as well as expanding on it. I showered after breakfast, changed and got in my car to go and meet my husband of six weeks. Whom, I had not seen for four of those. I was like a nervous teenager, excited, and in desperate need of a hug, a few of his kisses and other stuff, too.
I looked at the arrivals board and he had landed half an hour ago, early, I prayed I’d not missed him, but as the doors flung open and people poured through the doors, he stepped through them, looking bronzed, god like, and yet hairier than he was when he left. He was walking in with a couple of equally tanned women, and another two gents, I looked waved and ran. Oh, hell is kisses were the best thing, god I had missed these, as he held me in a deathly tight grip.
“Miss me much, Carrie? I sure as hell missed you wife?”
“I missed you more, but busied myself, with the hotels and things, I had loads to do, I have a lot of news, and oh hells teeth, kiss me again please, I need you and him in our big comfortable bed, now.” He dually obliged.
“I can see, can we stop here for a day or three, just in that bed, in the bath and god in here, he discreetly cupped my sex!”
“Err, damn right, we have a whole month of catch up to do, and first things first the face fur has to go, you look like a mountain man.” We loaded up his stuff, he drove holding my hand in his as he did, and when we stopped, he would lean over for a kiss. I took all that was on offer, and more, I was being impatient again as he laughed, we talked for the rest of the journey, he was ecstatic, that the children were seeing me again, and couldn’t wait to meet his step children, I had to tell him soon I couldn’t keep it in much longer.
We pulled up to the hotel, we got the bags to the room, and his clothes all sent to the cleaners. I had bought him some clean things to wear and as he shaved, I watched him from the bed, after we made love, the expectations met, and exceeded twice. Now how to tell him he’s going to be a dad? I watched and hugged my legs sat on the bed.
“Are you happy you get to be a step-dad, Jack?”
“Um, always wanted children, what was it we said four, or was it six?” I laughed.
“Err, you wanted twelve, and I bartered you down to four. How would three suit you, two step children and one of our own?” His face was a picture.
“I would love to have children, but I thought you had gone through the change? Oh, you want to adopt. I’m easy, yeah, we could do that.” I smiled as he wiped his face, red, fresh, and clean.
“How about in eight months? You are, we are having a baby, and as looking as shocked as I was a couple of days ago, I’m hoping you’re as happy as I am. Because you’ve not said anything, in for like, ever?” He ran into the room and crushed me on the bed, kissing my belly.
“I’m going to be a Dad? Really, oh god how, when where, are you sure, and are you alright?”
“I am really good, I was shocked, and confused, upset at first and god damn panic stric
ken, for a day, I wasn’t sure who the Dad was, I really cried for the whole night.” He held me tightly.
“It is a baby and is ours, whether it’s mine or Tom’s he will be my son, or she will be my daughter Carrie.” Oh, he kissed me again. What had I panicked about, he was just too perfect…
“The baby is yours, the early scan thing Catherine did at the clinic, blood tests and stuff he is five weeks, in here and not as big even as a bean, he is just a sack? I was so upset about who the Daddy was; I thought you’d hate me and it, if it was Toms?”
“I love you so bloody much Mrs Thompson, thank you for our family, I don’t want to leave you again so soon, will you come and stop in Birmingham with me, I need to keep an eye on my two favourite people, why am I so god damn lucky, I finally have everything I wanted. Carrie, if I hadn’t already married you, we’d be doing it again. In fact will you marry me?” We did. We had the Christmas Eve wedding I had asked Thomas for; my son walked me down the aisle, my daughter behind me with Abigail, all having such a wonderful day and night, and Ben junior, fell for Harriet. Much to Jacks delight, a man in uniform, Harriet was always what Harriet had liked. Falling head first, literally for him, as she tripped entered the church apparently, he caught her; she’s as clumsy as I am too.
Epilogue
I had a few months of traveling here there and everywhere, a little too stressed sometimes, but loving the attention from my babies daddy, yes babies I was having twin boys, and he was one happy man, me I just went with the flow. I had all but completed all the hotels; the big one in Blackpool too nearly finished, we were opening Easter weekend, and the good doctor and I were there for the opening, he was doing the Doctor Adventure, thing on the rock climbing wall, when the twins decided they were wanting out too. I had them that night; and much to all concerned, they were perfect Andrew and George, named after our fathers.
My two eldest were waiting too, we had gotten closer again, especially now Dylan’s full dealings had been found out, he had robbed a fair amount of money, from the company, he was out of the country, and was living in hiding somewhere, where we couldn’t get to him. I will kill him, but no more revenge, its bloody hard work that revenge thing, make like a bridge, Harriet says and get over it. Such a wise girl, and is with me all the time, my shadow, and now a proud big sister. Who will be around to stop me smothering them, as I did to her and her brother, she laughs, but heck on reflection, I did rather molly-coddle them, but her job harder this time, she has Jack to contend with too! We are living in the now, and are happy and I am happy to put the past, well behind me. I have survived all that I have and am now happy being a survivor… My revenge, had been hard work, but had been good and one I enjoyed having and getting all the results I wanted, and just a bit more on top…
