Fight 4 Us: Legacy Page 8

“There are twelve of us going in this transport! I want all twelve coming back! Stay sharp and ready today!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

Colonel Meyers’ team, Janet, TJ, Hunt, and Wylie enter the large military truck through the back-hatch entrance.

Everyone gets into the large oversized military truck. Colonel Meyers bangs on the metal back tailgate of the military truck and the military truck driver speeds towards the exit of MacDill Air Force Base.

The large oversized military transport truck is made to transport up to twenty soldiers. It has a custom-made front steel bumper that was designed to ram and clear any object in its path.

TJ is sitting next to Janet and a member of Colonel Meyers’ team with Hunt sitting directly across from him and Wylie sitting across from Janet.

“You bring the AP bullets?” asks a Marine of Colonel Meyers’ group to the Marine sitting next to TJ.

“Yup, that’s all I shoot now,” replies the Marine that is sitting next to TJ.

TJ introduces himself to the Marine that is sitting next to him.

“I’m TJ, nice to meet you,” says TJ.

“I’m Gomez,” replies the Marine that is sitting next to TJ.

“Nice machine gun you got there,” says TJ to Gomez.

Gomez replies, “I love it. It’s an older model, but I have done some mods to it. It hasn’t let me down yet.”

“That old ass busted gun sucks. My AR gets the job done,” says the Marine that is sitting across from Gomez. “Shut up Piper!” shouts Gomez to the Marine sitting across from him.

“So, what are we going up against here?” asks Wylie to Janet.

“There are a lot of them at the casino, and they have some high-powered weapons,” answers Janet.

Hunt looks at TJ and asks, “Did these people give you those bruises?”

“Yeah, they also have my sister,” replies TJ.

“Don’t let your anger for these people cloud your judgement. Do your job and complete the mission. I have seen where a soldier’s emotions got in the way of the mission, and it didn’t turn out well for the soldier with the conflicted mind,” says Hunt to TJ.

“Thanks, but I’m ready for the mission. I am willing to do what it takes to get my sister back,” says TJ.

“How’s the rest of the U.S. doing?” asks Janet to Wylie.

“Not good. The last report I heard was about a month ago. Most of the country has fallen. Southern California was a warzone, especially Los Angeles. Colorado was doing okay, especially the rural areas. The same with Texas. The more rural the better,” answers Wylie.

“The whole East Coast of the U.S. has suffered heavy losses. New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Columbus were reset the last time I heard,” says Gomez.

“What about D.C.? What about the president and any other government officials?” asks TJ.

“I would think the president and the government would be safe somewhere,” answers Hunt.

Piper says, “I heard the government is on a carrier somewhere.”

“Yeah, you also heard they have a private island for the rich and powerful,” says Gomez to Piper.

TJ looks at Janet and shakes his head.

Janet smiles at TJ and whispers, “These guys are all over the place.”

“So, your sister is being held hostage at this casino?” asks Hunt to TJ.

“I don’t think she is being held against her will, but she is there,” replies TJ.

“How do you know she wants to leave?” asks Wylie.

“I don’t. When we went to talk to my sister, a group of Indians stopped us and then sucker punched me,” says TJ.

“They didn’t like us being there. When we mentioned TJ’s sister, they just started fighting with us,” says Janet.

“Colonel Meyers told us that it’s shoot to kill on this mission. Do you agree?” asks Hunt to TJ.

  “Yes,” replies TJ.

The large military transport truck drives down the highway and is approaching the casino.

“It’s all clear sir. We see you approaching our position,” says a soldier over the radio to Colonel Meyers.

“Thank you, Chase. Start gaining intel and release your reconnaissance drones and attack vehicles,” replies Colonel Meyers over the radio.

“Sievers, McConnell, and Evans, you are up. Get moving,” says Chase over the radio.

Three Marines at different locations turn on their equipment to their reconnaissance and attack vehicles.

A military scout drone flies straight up into the sky.

Two remote-controlled heavy-duty military vehicles start rolling towards the casino.

The military scout drone is very high in the sky and can barely be seen from the ground.

The two remote-controlled military vehicles are like small unmanned tanks. The unmanned tanks are equipped with guns and missiles and were made to sustain gunfire and explosions.

The day is turning to night now as the sun is setting.

The large military transport truck arrives at the location where the military scout drone operator is positioned.

“What do you got for me Sievers?” asks Colonel Meyers as he exits the large military transport truck.

“We are looking good. There are three guards at the main entrance, tons of people in a central courtyard, and I don’t see any dead ones on the property,” replies Sievers as he looks at the video display on the military scout drone remote control.

“We are in position next to the parking garage,” says McConnell over the radio.

Janet and TJ look around the location, where the military transport truck stopped, and see what is going on.

“We are in position at the rear entrance,” says Evans over the radio.

Colonel Meyers looks at a street map of the streets and locations around the casino.

“Gather around everyone!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

Colonel Meyers points to the map and says, “We are here, we have eyes here and here.”

TJ and Janet look at the map.

“We leave when Sievers says we are clear to move,” says Colonel Meyers.

Colonel Meyers looks at TJ and Janet.

“Be ready to move people, you know your roles,” says Colonel Meyers.

“I need TJ, Janet, Hunt, and Wylie! Everyone else can go!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

Colonel Meyers’ men leave Colonel Meyers alone to talk with Hunt, TJ, Janet, and Wylie.

“Things are going to get messy in there. My men and I don’t take any chances. We shoot to kill and that’s it. Do you have a problem with that?” asks Colonel Meyers.

“No sir,” answers Hunt and Wylie.

Colonel Meyers notices that TJ and Janet didn’t respond to his question.

“Do you have a problem with that? TJ and Janet?” asks Colonel Meyers.

“No sir, we understand that you have to do what you have to do,” replies Janet.

TJ doesn’t respond to Colonel Meyers.

  Colonel Meyers glares at TJ.

“How about you TJ? Do you have a problem?” asks Colonel Meyers.

“I just want to make sure that we are here for a rescue mission and not a killing spree,” replies TJ.

“We will get your sister back, but we will have to kill some people to do it. They aren’t just going to hand your sister over to us. You should know that as they already kicked the shit out of you,” says Colonel Meyers.

TJ looks at the casino and remembers when the Native Americans at the casino repeatedly kicked and punched him.

TJ puts his left thumb and index finger on his jaw and feels some slight pain in his jaw and face. TJ’s face is still bruised from the last time he was at the casino.

“You are right. I have no problem with the mission and your plan. Fuck these Indian assholes that did this to me and are keeping my sister hostage,” says TJ to Colonel Meyers.

“Good, we won’t let you down. Be ready to go any minute now,” says Colonel Meyers.

  Janet looks at T
J and sees that TJ is ready to go and has an intense look in his eyes as he stares at the tall casino building.

Sievers moves the military scout drone to its final position and calls for Colonel Meyers.

“Sir, we are ready to go. The streets are clear with only a couple dead ones that Bertha will easily run over,” says Sievers to Colonel Meyers.

“We still clear to enter through the main entrance gate?” asks Colonel Meyers.

Sievers moves the military scout drone camera and checks the main entrance gate of the casino.

“We are good to go. Bertha should knock that gate right out. Just make sure Diesel gets enough speed as he approaches the gate,” replies Sievers.

“Thank you Sievers. Keep me posted what you see,” says Colonel Meyers.

“We are moving out! Everyone into Bertha now!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

The Marines, Hunt, TJ, Janet, and Wylie get back into their exact seats on the large oversized military transport truck they call Bertha.

Colonel Meyers talks with the military truck driver, Diesel, and tells him what Sievers said about the casino main entrance gate.

Colonel Meyers is the last one to enter Bertha. Colonel Meyers signals Diesel by banging his hand on the metal tailgate.

Diesel starts up Bertha and makes his way towards the main entrance of the casino.

A Humvee follows behind Bertha as Diesel drives towards a side street.

“You are approaching our position now,” says McConnell over the radio.

“All clear colonel,” says Sievers over the radio.

TJ takes a deep breath and appears nervous.

Hunt looks at TJ and says, “Being nervous is normal. We will be fine. The plan is solid.”

“I’m just nervous for my sister. I hope she doesn’t get hurt during this mission,” says TJ.

“That’s a good point. I hope Colonel Meyers has a plan to get your sister out unharmed,” says Janet.

Gomez hears the conversation between Janet, TJ, and Hunt.

“Your sister will come out one way or another. We don’t plan on killing women or children. As long as your sister doesn’t attack us, she will be fine,” says Gomez.

Diesel turns down a street and is approaching the main entrance road of the casino.

“Feels like we are getting in position now,” says Gomez.

Diesel turns down a street that is perpendicular to the main entrance road of the casino.

The Humvee, that followed Bertha, waits near the main entrance gate of the casino.

“You are in position colonel. I will signal Diesel to take out the front gate on your command,” says the driver of the Humvee, over the radio, that is waiting near the front entrance gate of the casino.

“Roger that, wait for my command,” says Colonel Meyers over the radio to the Humvee driver.

Colonel Meyers looks to his left at his soldiers who are sitting and waiting patiently.

“We are in position. Next step is driving through the main entrance gate. Diesel will stop where he feels it’s safe. Take your guns off safety and be ready for anything. We could have company right away,” says Colonel Meyers.

  “Yes sir!” shouts the Marines.

TJ looks at Janet. They make eye contact but don’t say anything.

TJ gives Janet a slight nod.

Janet smiles at TJ and says, “You are such a dork.”

Colonel Meyers grabs his radio and says, “We are all set Murray. Let’s do it.”

Murray flashes his Humvee headlights to Diesel.

Diesel revs Bertha’s engine and speeds towards the main entrance road of the casino.

The loud diesel engine of Bertha is heard as Diesel accelerates towards the main entrance road of the casino.

Bertha comes barreling down the street towards the metal fence of the casino main entrance gate.

“It’s go time boys!” shouts Gomez.

  CHAPTER 8

  WE WANT IT ALL

  BOOM!

Diesel drives Bertha through the front gate of the casino main entrance road.

  BANG! BANG! BANG!

Three-armed casino residents shoot at Bertha.

  DAKKA!

A gunman in the Marine Humvee shoots several rounds into the main entrance road guard station and kills the three casino residents that shot at Bertha.

Diesel drives Bertha down the main entrance road and towards the main entrance of the casino.

“A shit load of Indians just came out of the main entrance,” says Sievers over the radio.

Diesel stops Bertha as he sees a bunch of Native Americans aiming their weapons at him.

  BANG!

  BANG!

  BOOM!

The Native Americans fire their weapons at Diesel and Bertha.

A gunshot hits Bertha’s front windshield but doesn’t hit Diesel.

Diesel puts Bertha in reverse and speeds away from the main entrance of the casino.

“I think you need support from McConnell and Evans,” says Sievers through his radio to Colonel Meyers.

“You heard the man! Give us some support McConnell and Evans! Attack the main entrance!” shouts Colonel Meyers into his radio.

“Yes, sir!” shouts McConnell and Evans through their radios.

  BOOM!

  BOOM!

  BOOM!

Three huge explosions are seen and felt at the main entrance of the casino.

Diesel stops Bertha and watches the huge explosions at the casino main entrance.

  BEEP!

  Diesel beeps Bertha’s horn.

Colonel Meyers unlocks the back tailgate and jumps off the back of Bertha.

“It’s go time!” shouts Gomez as he anxiously walks behind TJ to get off the back of Bertha.

Hunt, Wylie, Gomez, Piper, Colonel Meyers and the rest of the Marines take cover and aim their weapons at the main entrance of the casino.

  BANG!

A Marine shoots an approaching casino resident.

TJ and Janet take cover behind a parked sedan.

Janet sees Marines killing Native Americans and casino residents with ease.

TJ points his rifle at the main entrance of the casino.

TJ sees a Native American retreating back into the casino. TJ recognizes the Native American and thinks he was a member of the group that almost killed him.

  BANG!

TJ fires a precise shot and kills the Native American with a headshot.

  “Move inside!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

Janet and TJ move away from the parked car and move towards the main entrance of the casino.

The Marine Humvee, that followed Bertha to the casino, is parked at the main entrance guard station of the casino main entrance road.

Murray, the driver of the Marine Humvee, picks up his radio and says, “We are positioned at the main entrance gate colonel. It’s all clear.”

As TJ and Janet run towards the main entrance of the casino, they see that the main entrance has been destroyed. Blood, concrete, and limbs are scattered around the casino main entrance floor, lobby, and walls.

Piper and Gomez place two explosive charges underneath two large pieces of concrete that are blocking the entrance into the casino lobby.

“Stand back!” shouts Piper as he and Gomez run away from the casino main entrance and over to Colonel Meyers.

  “All clear!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

  BOOM! BOOM!

The two explosive charges go off and completely destroy the two large pieces of concrete that were blocking the main entrance to the casino lobby.

“It’s all clear now! Let’s move in!” shouts Colonel Meyers.

The casino lobby entrance is dark and concrete rubble is all around the casino lobby floor.

TJ walks into the casino lobby. He steps forward and hears Marines moving forward and communicating.

  BANG!

  DAKKA!

Marine gunfire kills a group of Native Americans.

Janet walks with TJ as he
approaches the casino pool.

TJ and Janet notice that the pool water is crystal clear, and the pool pump is on.

A woman’s scream is heard in the distance.

  AHHH!

TJ fears that it’s his sister and sprints towards the scream.

“Take her!” shouts a Marine as he pushes a Native American woman into the arms of another Marine.

TJ sees the Native American woman with the Marine and stops running.

“What’s going on?” asks TJ to Hunt.

Hunt lowers his assault rifle and answers, “This area is clear. Colonel Meyers is deciding what to do next.”

TJ sees that Colonel Meyers is talking on his radio and walks over to him.

“You have a large group in the central courtyard of the property, away from the casino floor. I can’t see inside the casino buildings, but I’d bet the residents retreated away from the pool and the lobby,” says Sievers through his radio to Colonel Meyers.

“Anyone on the hotel balconies or roof?” asks Colonel Meyers through his radio.

Sievers moves the military scout drone camera and replies, “Oh baby, there are tons of shooters on the hotel balconies aiming at the central courtyard. They look to be waiting for you there. Don’t go to the central courtyard,” answers Sievers through his radio.

TJ asks Colonel Meyers, “Any sign of my sister Alice?”

“Not yet, but I think we are getting close,” answers Colonel Meyers.

“McConnell and Evans reposition yourself for a strike on the hotel balconies,” says Colonel Meyers through his radio.

TJ hears the strike order from Colonel Meyers and gets concerned about his sister’s safety.

“You are attacking the hotel?” asks TJ.

Colonel Meyers glares at TJ and answers, “Yes, they have gunmen on the balconies. Unless your sister is a trained sniper, I think she will be okay.”

Sievers helps McConnell and Evans find another position for their attack on the hotel balconies.

A small group of Native Americans come rushing in towards a group of Marines.

  BOOM!

  BANG!

  DAKKA!

The Marines easily take out the group of Native Americans that were running at them.

“Ready sir,” says McConnell over the radio.

“Wait for my command,” says Colonel Meyers.

  Janet comes over to TJ.
