Christy Worrell-Rey decided to pursue life as a freelance writer after six years as a Director at Fort Mason Foundation in San Francisco. She enjoys all the opportunities that a freelance writer life style provides: expanding her knowledge base, describing people’s stories or products, and exploring her many personal interests such as black & white, and digital photography. She is a member of Sisters In Crime, an organization dedicated to the promotion, advancement, recognition, and professional development of women crime writers. Her creative life purpose is to develop vignettes of writing and photography that are engaging, provoke inquisitiveness, and entertain an audience. She has added this personal purpose to a career that has been dedicated to promoting and preserving education and the arts. Two years ago, she and her husband—the musician in her story and heart—moved to Sunnyvale with their black Newfoundland dog, “Bella.”
