Dying to Keep a Secret: The India Kirby Witch Mystery (Book 6)

Mrs Clitheroe, Laurence, India, Xavier and Tasha were sitting around the perfectly laid out table outside on the patio, taking in the summer sun. Little Toby was staggering around on his unsteady chubby legs, looking back at his mother and giggling wildly. The sunlight reflected on his mop of blond hair.
Charlie was just returning from the west wing, where he was now studying art. “Look,” he said modestly. “It’s nothing really, but—”
“Wow!” India said. He’d painted a wonderful landscape in the style of the impressionists, all blurry and full of gentle colors. It was so restful. “I had no idea you were into art, Charlie.”
He looked a bit nervous, but smiled. “Yeah, well, it was something I always hid very well.”
Tasha laughed affectionately. “It didn’t go with his macho image.”
Charlie scooped up Toby and had him on his hip. “That’s all over with now. I’m doing art school, and I’m doing the gardening here now, too.”
Xavier smiled. “That’s awesome, Charlie.” He sipped his sweet tea. “And it’s so good to hear that your art school is up and running now, Laurence.”
Laurence was beaming from ear to ear. “My dream is finally coming true. And that generous generous man who gave me so much for that statue really kicked it off. It read Jeremy Higginbottom-Hill on his check, and it cashed just fine, but when I tried to look him up on the internet I found nothing.”
Xavier and India shared a secret smile. Magic sure worked in mysterious ways.
