The Thousand Years War: The Trilogy

Thomas decides to take matters into his own hands by taking on the sea dragons himself. He protects the rest of the crew from a sea dragon tackle and he uses his fire breathing ability to burn away the bees. However Thomas can’t protect the crew from the constant attacks from the Troopias. The turtle like creatures would dive underwater and retract into their shell then ram their shells to their target. Luckily for the four the ship is made out of steel, which takes most of the impact off the ship. However with constant attack the ship is thrown off course and the damage is beginning to show on the sides. Dents can be seen on both sides of the ships. Maria speeds up in an attempt to lose the turtles, but the turtles are just as fast as the ship. She hands Angel the harvester weapon.
“What you giving me this for?” Angel asks Maria.
“Just trust me on this one ok?” Maria responds.
“I’ll slow them down!” Thomas says as he begins to breathe fire towards the turtle.
“I’ll help you out Thomas. I’ll freeze them to death!” Dayvon says in response to Thomas.
Dayvon shoots Freezethrower shots to freeze several Troopias, but the number of turtles grows too quickly and he runs out of ice for his weapon. Thomas uses his fire breath to burn the turtles, which would normally work to kill Troopias. However these Troopias are genetically enhanced by the gloobas to withstand fire. The Troopia shells outnumber the ship badly at 10 to one. Angel heads for the turret, but it malfunctions probably due to the damage done by the Troopias.
Maria comes up with her master plan to get out of the situation. She has Angel use the harvester to harvest the powerful winds. Then she has him use the weapon and to use the wind power in order push away the Troopias deep in the river. At the same time the wind carries the ship they were in forward towards the island. All four of them hang on for dear life because the wind is so powerful that it carries the ship at high speeds closing in on 80mph. She sees the island up ahead, but the coast is not clear. The path ahead has a big cliff up ahead and the ship is making a bee-line for the cliff. Shed sees an even coast to the right and she steers the ship dead right to turn the ship away from the cliff. A huge wave hits the ship as it is turning right and the ship begins to tip over side to side uncontrollably.
“Everyone hang on this is going to be a nasty landing!” Maria screams as the ship is ready to touch down on the coast.
The ship touches down at the coast hitting a huge rock formation causing serious front end damage to the ship. The impact causes the ship to catapult everybody to the sand. Although the landing is a hard one the fact it was sand did help to ease the pain of the fall.
“Damn that is one ride I won’t ever forget. Wow Fortuna is definitely one hell of a planet.” Angel says in disbelief after what he had just endured.
“You said it, ouch my back. Oh great now the storm passes? Why it couldn’t be like that during the ride?” Dayvon says in disgust as the skies begin to clear rapidly and the dark skies were heading southwest.
“Be grateful Dayvon, sometimes you can be so ungrateful. If it wasn’t for the strong winds and my idea to use the harvester the way we did, we would have been turtle food. So instead of complaining why not be thankful for once in your life?” Maria is angered by Dayvon’s constant wining.
“Look we survived that’s what counts, well there it goes the laboratory where these sick experiments. Lets say we go in there and clean up this mess!” Thomas says in encouragement.
“Well I think we can all agree on that, guys lets get moving.” Angel follows Thomas. Everybody follows Thomas towards the glooba base looking for a way inside without attracting too much attention.
Meanwhile on the other side of the glooba invaded island Luis sees an electrified gate. He looks for a way to cut off the electricity.
“Hey Quentin anyway to disable this electrified gate?” Luis asks Quentin.
“Well look for a circuit breaker box and just shoot it. Who knows it might just disable their whole lab.”
Luis goes on to look for a circuit breaker box and spots it when he heads all the way to the right nearing a hill. He opens the small box and takes Quentin’s advice to shoot the box. The gate becomes de-electrified and he opens the gate. When he gets inside he sees several patrols of salamander troopers surrounding the perimeter. He has to make a decision whether to go in guns-a-blazing or try using stealth. He goes with the latter idea. He picks off as many salamander troopers as he can from behind. He manages to clear one side of the perimeter. Then he calls Angel to see his progress.
“Hey Angel I’m by the base already, where are you guys?” Luis asks Angel.
“Wow that bird took you all the way there! Shit, well we’re not too far from you then, we are by the base as well and we can see the scumbags as well.” Angel answers Luis.
“I’ve taken out one side of the perimeter, now hopefully the enemy has no surprises waiting for us inside.” Luis says.
“Well you know what that means, its time to kickass and chew bubble gum.” Angel says his trademark phrase. The others look at Angel like he’s nuts, he has no gum to chew in the first place.
“Ok seesh, you guys take everything so literally. It’s a figure of speech that we gonna kick some alien ass and the gum is the goo that they bleed out. You understand now?” Everybody stills looks at Angel like he has lost his mind. “I guess not, fine lets go inside. Does that sound better?”
Angel and company enter the perimeter of the building, but they end up tripping an alarm after stepping over an invisible laser reader. Glooba reinforcements come out of the building including salamander troopers, boar cops, scorpion crawlers and Troopia turtles.
Luis is shocked to hear the alarm and calls Angel saying, “Hey what the hell did you do?”
“I didn’t do anything I was walking and before I knew it the alarm goes off.” Angel answers Luis.
“Oh boy this should be fun, count on me to run of ammo for my freeze ray.” Dayvon continues his wining.
“Dayvon just shut up please, there’s no room for negatively here!” Maria continues to be disgusted by Dayvon’s attitude. Thomas has no comments to add.
All five meet up in what becomes a battlefield. Luis takes care of the boar cops in melee combat while dodging their powerful punches and kicks. Angel tries his luck with the scorpion crawlers, dodging tail whips and poison shots. Maria makes quick work of the salamander troopers, but she’s knocked down by a Troopia. The Troopia prepares to crush Maria, but Dayvon shoots it distracting it.
“Maria get the hell up, I can’t hold this guy for long.” Dayvon screams at Maria.
Maria gets up and tries to shoot the turtle in the back, but the shell simply deflects the laser. Another turtle comes from behind trying to grab Maria. She is able to run from it without seeing it.
Luis finishes off the boar cops, but all of a sudden he sees several pterodactyls like the one that kidnapped him. Luis waits for the birds to come down and he blasts them with the shotgun he got from the boar cops. Then he says arrogantly, “Not this time birdies!”
Angel is barely able to avoid a poison shot from one of the scorpions. That is until he is taken down from behind from a scorpion’s tail whip. Another scorpion grabs Angel ready to squeeze the life out of him. However Thomas come to the rescue using his fire breath and burns the scorpions alive.
“Thanks Thomas I owe you one, you don’t look so well. Are you ok?” Angel asks Thomas with concern.
“Nah it’s that the temperatures out here are much lower than what I’m used to. I live in the warmer western part of Fortuna. I barely come all the way out here as my body is unable to take the cold.” Thomas explains his condition.
Angel sees Maria and Dayvon struggle with the Troopia turtles. So he takes matters into his own hands and uses his devastator after finding some rockets in an ammo box next to him. He shoots one of the turtles in the back. The explosion cracks the Troopias shell causing it to die on the spot. As for the other turtle Thomas uses his ray gun to shoot the turtle
in the head.
“Wow nice shooting their brother!” Dayvon complementing Thomas’s shooting.
“Well everyone it’s time to go inside, shit I forgot about you Thomas. You don’t do well in low temperatures…” Angel is concerned for Thomas as he was the lone Fortunaian survivor left.
“Don’t worry about me. I rather die honorably than let these scumbags take over my planet. I’ll fight till the bitter end!” Thomas tries to convince Angel that he should stay with the group.
“Fine Thomas you can stick with us. I just hate to see you go down, but we can use all the hands we can find. Let’s see what this hell hole has in store for us.” Angel leads the team inside the laboratory.
The first area the heroes run into is the lobby/security area where they are attacked by a group of iguana enforcers and salamander troopers. The aliens are taken care of rather easily. The walls were beginning to turn blue and green with the blood of the aliens. As they move forward they see that the lights are knocked out and salamander troopers come in trying to ambush the five in the dark. At first the crew is all confused and begins to attack each other by accident. The troopers manage to get in a few cheap shots before Thomas shows another special ability. He gives everybody thermal vision, so that the other four could see who their enemies are based on body temperature.
The red hues represent enemy troops while the blues and purples represent themselves. To make things more interesting though the troopers would teleport out of the way, it comes with one major flaw. Although they are invisible to the naked eye, but the body temperature still gets read and the five heroes are able to kill off the enemy.
The crew heads into a laboratory research area where every creature or living thing in Fortuna is inside its own pod. That gives the indication that the gloobas are running experiments on these creatures, whether enhancing their abilities or giving them all new abilities that they would not normally have. Thomas is practically disturbed because these are his fellow residents that are being put through these torturous experiments. Once upon a time these creatures were harmlessly running in their own habitat and Fortuna was a planet rich with different landscapes similar to Earth. There is no telling what other planets and environments the gloobas have destroyed or put in danger of extinction.
There are many capsules containing creatures of Fortuna and even glooba creatures as well. As the five of them head into the middle of the room and some of the capsules begin to crack open. The creatures coming out of the capsule including Fortuna moths, ivies, iguana enforcers and yes you guessed it Troopia turtles. The creatures attack the unsuspecting heroes.
“Watch out Maria! Damn where’s the bug spray when you need it?” Angel says trying to reload his devastator weapon while warning Maria of the Moth behind her.
The moths are huge compared to moths back on Earth and they are even uglier looking in Fortuna, add in the glooba goo they are a force to be reckoned with. They reside in the extreme southern portion of Fortuna where the weather is always warm. Their main form of attack is to fly towards their victims with their wings which contain two spikes capable of killing their victims. Their secondary attacks include a toxic breath attack and a strong screeching noise capable of destroying the ear drum of a human. The simple fact that they’re airborne makes them extremely deadly enemies for the chosen ones.
The ivies shoot off acid towards Dayvon, but Thomas is able to pull him away. The iguana enforcers shoot towards Luis with their chainguns. He sprints away from the bullets and hides behind capsules for cover. The moths fly right towards Maria preparing to attack, but Angel pushes her out of the way just in the nick of time. The moths hit the rest of the capsules breaking even more creatures out of their chambers.
“Oh boy even more of these aliens, I get the feeling that we are in for more than we bargained for!” Angel screams as more creatures come out.
“Crap they got me pinned down! You gotta be kidding me with all these aliens. I need some help guys!” Luis screams in agony.
“I think we all need help Luis!” Dayvon replies to Luis.
Luis peeks out and shoots several iguana enforcers or at least as much he could kill off. Dayvon shoots some Ivys, but with little success as his freezethrower is still empty. Thomas gathers his energy and begins to shoot out a huge fire breathing attack towards the ivies. The fire attack causes all of the ivies to burn all at the same time and inadvertently also kills the remaining enforcers, which is a relief to Luis. However there is still the matter of the giant moths and Troopia turtles. The giant moths begin to spray toxic gas surrounding the room and the Troopias armed with laser rifles were beginning to shoot at the five.
“Oh my lord, that smell is horrible and it’s deadly as well. We gotta get out of here it’s too dangerous to hang around here!” Luis tells the crew.
“No there’s only one way to take care of these guys and that’s to beat them head on!” Angel says in great confidence while shooting his devastator towards the creatures.
After the dust settles some of the moths are dead, along with the Troopias. However with the additional broken capsules more giant moths and Troopias came out after the crew.
“They just don’t give up!” Dayvon says.
“These bastards are persistent that’s for sure…” Thomas responds in a weak tone and then kneels down in weakness.
“Are you ok Thomas?” Angel asks
“No I’m not, I been weakened. That fire breath I attacked with to kill all those plant creatures took a lot out of me. Another thing is that I am weak in low temperatures since I am from the south and I sense temperatures beginning to abnormally fall for this part of the planet. I can’t be here. If my body temperature falls any further I will die.” Thomas explains the situation in great pain.
“Crap can’t let this dude die. He could be helpful for our cause. Dayvon and Luis I need you guys to find a warm area for Thomas while I and Maria take care of these freaks. Got that?” Angel comes up with a last minute plan.
“Ok Angel I hope you and Maria will be ok here?” Luis says in concern.
“Don’t worry about us, just get Thomas to safety. That is our main concern right now.” Maria answers Luis’s question.
Maria and Angel stand tall against the moths and Troopia turtles. Maria spots a substance that is similar to pesticide and comes up with the idea of using her harvester weapon to use the substance against the moths. However she had to act fast along with Angel because the two of them are being attacked by Troopias as well.
“Hey Angel I think that purple stuff is pesticide I maybe able to use it against the moths… but I need you to help me against these turtles…” Maria tells Angel as she tries to catch her breath while running away.
“Not a problem Maria! I maybe out of ammo, but I can still distract them until you get the moths out of our way.” Angel tells Maria.
So she gets busy harvesting the substance that she believes is pesticide, while he runs around distracting the Troopias who were rather huge in size. The smell of the gas was still pungent, but not as bad as it was before. He continues to run around distracting the enemy to cover for Maria. The Troopias shoot their laser rifles towards him, but they missed so they decide to jump towards him. The Troopias also have jetpacks that enable them to hover for a short period of time, but because of their shells they cannot stay up for long periods of time. They begin to shoot him from above as poor Angel continues to run in a scene that only looks hopeless.
Meanwhile Dayvon and Luis don’t have to go too far to get Thomas to a medical room. After blasting a few gloobas in the area the three of them enter a medical room. The temperature inside the room is significantly warmer than the rest of the lab. Luis lays the Fortunaian dragon/human Thomas on the bed, while Dayvon gets a blanket to provide even more warmth.
“Listen Dayvon and Luis you guys should not stay here. The others… the others need you. I will… be fine…Good Luck…” Thomas says to Dayvon and Luis until he passes out or falls asleep. Dayvon
or Luis can’t be sure, but they figure that Angel and Maria are going to need their help.
“Hey! There’s more ammo for my freezethrower!” Dayvon says in happiness when he finds a couple of ice packs for his weapon.
“More plasma for my weapon as well, let’s us go in there and give these guys hell!” Luis says to Dayvon in agreement.
Back in the main lab area Angel is running out of room to run from the Troopias. He pulls out his laser pistol and begins to shoot towards the creatures to buy himself some space. However one of the giant moths charges in towards Angel without him being aware of the attack. The moth tackles him, but the spike misses Angel just to the side.
“Whew! I thought I was a goner. Hey Maria are you done yet I’m going to need your help here!”
“Almost done honey, there it’s done.” Maria harvests the substance into her weapon. “As for you moths time to eat dust!” She says as she shoots the substance. “Or at least I hope they go down with this.” She says to herself.
The substance does have an effect on the moths killing many of them to Maria’s pleasure. That left the Troopias who were no going to go down easily, one of the Troopias jumps onto Angel. The Troopia begins to apply pressure trying to crush Angel with its heavy shell. Angel’s face turns blue as he begins to lose his breath and Maria looks hopelessly as she has nothing to kill these turtles with. The pesticide had no effect on the Troopias at all. She grabs her laser rifle and lands a lucky shot on the Troopias head that was crushing him to death. The turtle is killed and the blue goo can be seen coming out of its head.
“Damn that’s some…fine… shooting there babe.” Angel says as begins to catch his breath.
Maria goes on to shoot some of the other Troopias in the head killing them. A couple of Troopias were still alive and retract into their shells. They begin to spin at a very high speed right towards Angel and Maria. The two of them are able to run out of the way of the two spinning shells. The shells make contact with the wall nearly collapsing the wall itself.
