Blake bit his bottom lip. “I think you have an idea, Mr Baxter.”
He grabbed Harrison’s backside and they both laughed raucously as they ran up the stairs towards the bedroom.
Across the road from Juniper Cottage, a curtain was twitching in the window. Somebody had been watching the cottage for the past hour, waiting for Blake and Harrison to return home. Now, Tom had his mobile to his ear.
“Yeah,” he said, checking over his shoulder to make sure that his mother was not listening in. “It’s me. I got your message. Okay. Yeah, I think it’s time too. Blake Harte is going to pay, I promise.” He laughed as he closed the curtains and turned towards his bedroom mirror and took in his reflection. What he had been told was perfectly true. He did look exactly like his father. “I know, Dad. Nothing will go wrong. The game has started.”
