  “You tease!”

“You haven’t received your punishment yet. Let’s do ten. Tell me when you want to stop anytime, okay?”

  “Okay.”

Abel began with gentle taps, gradually strengthening the blows until he moaned and squirmed on Abel’s lap.

“Enough?” Abel’s voice was deep, husky with need.

Abel rubbed at the welts raised on his skin, and he nodded, biting his lip. His cock was at full length, his balls filled to the brim, Tommy was certain he wouldn’t hold back his orgasm any longer.

His mate helped him up, but Tommy had other ideas. He straddled Abel’s lap, eyeing his mate’s impressive upright dick.

“You, too?” he asked, giving Abel’s leaking pre-cum a flick. Abel watched him with yellow eyes as he licked the droplet away with undisguised relish.

“That was one of the fucking hottest things I’ve ever seen.”

“Really? We should do more of it then, because I feel the same way.”

Abel took his finger, sucking on it until he groaned. “Now it’s time for your reward.”

  “I can’t wait.”

Abel stroked his prick again, fast and faster until he moaned. “Come for me, baby. Do it now.”

At that firm command, Tommy came hard, spilling his load all over Abel’s waiting hand and stomach. Abel pressed him close, and he rested his head on Abel’s broad shoulder, distinctively aware of Abel guiding his wet cockhead into his entrance.

“You ready to be fucked senseless, little Omega?” Abel whispered at his ear, then nipped at the mate mark on his neck.

  He shuddered. “Please.”

  “Please what?”

“Fuck me until I see stars.”

“My pleasure.” Abel gripped his hips and breached him until he was balls deep inside Tommy.

Tommy gasped from the sudden entry, yet it was smooth, rough, just the way he liked it. He dug his fingers into Abel’s back muscles, enjoying the sensation of their joined wolves and bodies, their hearts beating as one.

“Love you,” he murmured, aware of the risks. Their relationship was still so new, and those three words might damn him except it turned out he had nothing to worry about.

“Love you back, baby,” Abel said, tenderness in his voice.

The dominant werewolf took his lips again, and this time the kiss was sweet, slow, wonderful. He could practically melt in Abel’s arms. It lasted seconds, a minute, eternity. Time seemed to have no place in that moment, frozen until Abel started riding him again. He felt every bump and Abel’s thick cock, drilling him mercilessly, breaching his deepest places, uncovering all his secrets.

Tommy met every thrust, gaze not leaving Abel’s. Abel shifted his hips, slamming right into his prostate. Back arching, Tommy gasped, and Abel took his mouth again, muffling his cries of pleasure. Abel went for his sweet spot repeatedly, speed picking up, sending him straight to oblivion once more.

Head spinning, Tommy wrenched his mouth away to scream out his mate’s name. Abel’s growl joined him, and he expelled a contented sigh as Abel filled his ass with his cum. If this wasn’t heaven, then Tommy didn’t know what was.

  Chapter Nine

Abel felt like his lungs were about to burn from the inside out, but he couldn’t stop now. He glared at the treadmill indicator. Five more minutes and he’d finish his thirty-minute intense cardio goal. After that, all he needed to do was cool down. Waiting at the end of the dark tunnel was his date with Tommy.

Two weeks had passed since he’d mated Tommy and become enforcer for the pack. Many pack members had doubted his ability to do his job at first, but he somehow managed to live up to his responsibilities.

Trent and Daniel never bothered him and Tommy again. At first, they’d made bets how long before he screwed up his job as enforcer, but as time wore on, they grudgingly admitted he was capable. They even worked on some jobs together now, although Abel didn’t trust either man behind his back. Then again, all relationships took work.

He balanced both his work for the accounting firm and pack duties. However, Tommy always came first. His life took a turn for the better when Tommy moved in. They had their fights, just like any other couple, but made up for them afterwards.

Abel relished the moments he would come back from work, only to see Tommy waiting for him with dinner. No one had ever bothered cooking for him before, and it was nice. They would end the night by watching movies on the couch together or with some sizzling sex.

Then Abel would wake up the next day, with his gorgeous mate tucked next to him, his dick buried inside Tommy while Tommy soundly slept in his arms.

Perfect. He’d never trade anything else for this slice of heaven.

Abel used to be discouraged easily, but his sweet Omega mate never failed to encourage him, motivate him daily. When frustration got the better of him, Tommy would listen and give him valuable advice. Otherwise, Abel wouldn’t know what to do.

A smile curved on his lips. The last five minutes flew by, and he hopped off the treadmill. The infernal device was probably his least favorite exercise equipment, but maintaining a level of fitness had been part and parcel of his job.

Don’t do it for me or anyone else. Do it for yourself. Tommy’s positive words echoed in his head.

Abel grabbed the small towel by the chair beside the treadmill to wipe his face off, noticing another slender shifter smiling at him. He frowned, wondering if the guy mistook him for someone else, but the shifter continued to saunter towards him. It didn’t smell like a pack member, more like some kind of feline shifter.

One of the drawbacks of getting in shape seemed to be attracting unwanted attention of single shifters.

“Hey there, cutie. I couldn’t help but admire you just now,” the guy said, eying him up and down.

Abel shifted uncomfortable, feeling like a piece of meat at the supermarket. Maybe if he remained silent and aloof, the guy would get the message.

“Anyway, I was thinking if we could go for drink. Treat me to lunch?” The guy gave him a wink.

“I’m mated,” he replied, tone clipped.

The guy’s face fell. “Aw. Really? I should have known.”

Abel awkwardly patted the guy’s arm. “I’m sure there are plenty of interested parties in town. Good luck.”

The guy blinked, nodded. “Not as decent as you. Some dominant shifters, even the mated ones, wouldn't hesitate to take advantage.”

Abel shrugged. “Maybe you’re looking at the wrong places.”

The guy nodded, then walked away. Relieved that moment was over, Abel walked to the locker room. He’d take a shower first, before meeting Tommy for dinner. He grabbed a spare shirt and jeans, about to turn when he bumped into someone else. The familiar scent made him flare his nostrils.

“Nice of you by the way, to tell off that cat shifter,” Mac remarked.

Not wanting to indulge in a pointless conversation with his ex, he began to move towards the shower. He let out a little growl when Mac didn’t move out of his way.

  “What do you want, Mac?”

Mac crossed his arms, regarding him the same way the feline shifter did and whistled. “You’ve gotten buffed, Abel. Really improved in such a short time. I didn’t know you had it in you.”

“You never thought much of me,” he replied bluntly. “Get out of the way, Mac. We have nothing to talk about.”

“On the contrary, we have plenty. Why haven’t you answered any of my texts?”

Abel narrowed his eyes. Tommy knew about the texts Mac sent him, because Abel kept nothing from his mate. They discussed it together and decided not to do anything if all Mac would do was send him messages. Eventually, a guy like Mac would get bored and leave them alone, because Mac’s interests easily changed.

  Now, Abel wasn’t so certain.

“I’m not interested in being your friend, Mac. Have you forgotten the fact you broke my heart?”

Abel didn’t know why all the resentment and anger came pourin
g out. It struck him he felt completely nothing for Mac. Mac was a parasite, someone who leeched on others to make himself feel better. Their relationship had been toxic, one-sided. Abel had sought out Mac’s approval and love out of desperation and loneliness. He’d settled, but now, things were different.

He finally found his one true mate, and Tommy was everything he’d dreamt of.

“Friends? I was thinking we could start off where we left off. We don’t even need to do the dating crap, we’ll just go straight to fucking. What do you think?”

“No.” Abel gave Mac a gentle push. Other pack enforcers wouldn’t take shit like that from subordinates, but Abel prided himself on being a protector, someone who only resorted to violence if there was no other way out.

Mac took the response a little differently. The Omega grabbed his forearm, which he shook off, baring his fangs. Mac whined. “Don’t be like that, Abel.”

“You threw me away like unwanted trash, Mac. I found someone else who’s more worthy of my love and attention. Tommy and I are mated. Don’t you get what that means? I’m not interested in anyone else, especially not some petty spoiled Omega who’s probably fucked everyone in the pack.” Abel had never been cruel, but he had to get to the point.

Mac’s pretty face turned feral. Mac snarled. “Who the hell do you think you are?”

“You didn’t get the message. Back off, Mac.”

“Or what? You’ll hurt me? That won’t go well, Abel, because you of all people know I can play the victim card very well.”

Abel stared at Mac in disbelief. Before Mac and he dated, some of Mac’s ex-lovers had warned him of how manipulative Mac would be. One even claimed Mac blackmailed him by pretending to be the injured party. Abel never believed a shifter could sink so low, until now.

“What are you implying?” he carefully asked.

“Oh, I don’t know. I can get myself bruised up, show the other pack members who’ve come to rely on you what a monster you really are. If I smear your reputation, no one would trust you again. Butch will take your rank. You’ll be forced to leave.” Mac leaned against the lockers, a lofty expression on his face.

Self-disgust filled Abel. How could have he fallen for such a guy in the past? He clenched his fists, wolf rising to the surface at the threat. A red haze filled his line of sight. Abel was this close to losing control. Once he snapped, there would be no going back. His wolf considered Mac a threat, one that had to be eliminated. Mac couldn’t comprehend how much danger he was in.

The only thing holding Abel back from teaching Mac a lesson, was Tommy. He couldn’t afford to drag Tommy into this mess, because Tommy and Steve were beginning to settle into their new lives.

“Anyway,” Mac went on, seemingly content to have a dialogue with himself. “I don’t know what you see in that Omega. I heard he was flawed goods. How could you want him?”

That straw broke the camel’s back. In seconds, Abel shoved Mac against the lockers, snarling.

Mac moaned. “Oh, Abel. I like this side of you.”

“Don’t talk shit about my mate. Tommy’s fucking amazing, someone you can never be,” he practically growled into Mac’s face.

His human half screamed at him to stop. Any further and his wolf would take over and all the beast wanted was to eliminate Mac, who’d had the audacity to insult their mate. Threatening him was one thing, but Tommy, too? It was time to show this cunning, pathetic little liar his place.

  “Abel!”

Abel spun, horrified and relieved at the same time to see Tommy standing by the doorway, panting. He sensed Tommy’s wolf reaching out to his, soothing his animal, telling him it was all right. Breathing hard, he took a step back, although he kept his eye on Mac.

“You ruined the game,” Mac accused Tommy. “I’ll bring you both down.”

Tommy snorted. “No, you won’t. You haven’t done your research, have you, Mac?”

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Mac demanded.

Abel was slightly confused, too, although he realized he was forgetting something. His wolf was still close to the surface, hindering his ability to form logical thoughts, something about the locker room and new measures implemented by the gym owner.

“Since Trent and Daniel harassed me in here, Mr. Perkins placed cameras in the locker room. There’s even a flyer at the reception telling everyone about the change. Threaten us all you want, but everything’s being recorded. No one will believe your story.”

Deciding Mac could do little against them, Abel kept his distance. Tommy went up to him, and he hugged his smart Omega mate. He clapped the back of Tommy’s neck, inhaling his familiar scent.

“I’m all sweaty,” he told Tommy apologetically.

Tommy grinned. “I like you all sweaty.”

“Fuck,” Mac swore behind him. “This can’t be happening.”

Sensing Mac’s malicious intent, he quickly planted Tommy behind his back. A knife glinted in Mac’s hand. Mac’s eyes looked insane, angry. Mac might be an Omega, but shifters who broke could be unpredictable, dangerous.

“That’s enough of you, Mac,” said a new voice.

Abel slid his gaze to the doorway to see Mr. Perkins. Mac froze, and Abel saw why. Mr. Perkins had shotgun in hand and pointed it straight at Mac. Abel knew the werebear wouldn’t just shoot Mac, but instead of calming Mac, Mac hissed, raising his arm, but Mr. Perkins calmly shot him. The gun went off, but Perkins merely shot at Mac’s shoulder, making Mac drop his knife.

He lunged forward, kicking the blade away.

“You shot me!” Mac yelled, staring daggers at Perkins. “I’ll sue you.”

“Don’t get your feathers in a twist. It’s not silver. You’ll heal.”

Abel knew what to do. He picked up his phone and called Butch. Mac was still part of the pack, and Abel had responsibilities to all their pack members, even if they became nuisances to the general public and to business owners like Perkins. Tommy appeared by his side, looking concerned, but Abel shared everything with his mate and didn’t mind Tommy listening in to the conversation.

To his surprise, Butch seemed to take the information in stride after Abel told him a shortened version.

“I’ve always suspected Mac was a loose cannon,” Butch said after, sounding tired. “Can you restrain Mac and bring him to the pack house? I’ll get our resident healer to look at his injuries and deal with him accordingly. Apologize to Mr. Perkins on my behalf and the pack’s.”

“Understood.” Once Butch ended the call, Abel faced Mr. Perkins. Mac still moaned and whined on the ground, but they ignored him.

“I’m sorry for all of this,” he told Mr. Perkins. “The pack will take care of Mac and will pay for any damages caused.”

“This isn’t the first time Mac harassed or conned a dominant shifter in my gym,” Mr. Perkins said with a growl. “About time Butch finally took some action. I’ll have one of my men bandage him up, then get him out of my sight.”

  Chapter Ten

“Thanks for bringing Mac back here in one piece,” Butch said.

Tommy glanced over the Alpha’s shoulder to see the pack Beta Leon taking a complaining Mac to one side, silencing Mac with one cold look. Leon was generally easygoing in nature, a contrast to the often serious Butch, but Leon wore his upper management mask right now.

“What’s going to happen to him?” he had to ask.

Butch considered him for a couple of seconds. “I will give him a choice, make up for his mistakes by accepting his punishment, but knowing Mac, he would prefer to leave the pack as opposed to suffer any sort of humiliation.”

“Why let him do as he pleased in the first place?” Abel demanded, provoking a warning growl from their Alpha.

Tommy gripped Abel’s arm, worried for his mate. He had to admit, seeing Abel and Mac in the locker room, fear had gripped him, but it only took him a second to remember Abel loved him. Abel would never fall to Mac’s trap, but Abel had nearly lost control back then. It amazed him Abel ma
naged to hold back from hurting Mac until the last moment.

Tommy was proud of his mate, and even Mac’s comment about him being flawed no longer stung. Abel and he had talked about it at length, that if they decided to have children in the future, they could adopt or hire a surrogate. His mate loved him for who he was, and Tommy was the same. Abel had come so far and had proven any doubting pack members wrong about his ability to step up to his new role as enforcer.

Abel had even won the approval of his brother. The last thing they both needed was to anger their Alpha, but Abel had a point. To his surprise, Butch looked worn out, exhausted.

“I’ve been battling demons of my own, too distracted by my personal problems to realize some pack members like Trent, Daniel, and Mac needed to be dealt with. That’s going to change,” Butch finally said. “Trent and Daniel will be making amends by patrolling the most remote and isolated areas of our pack territory for the rest of the year."

Tommy respected Butch even more, for being the bigger man. Alphas seldom admitted their mistakes to subordinates.

Abel nodded, looking satisfied. “I understand. I’m sorry for calling you out.”

“No. That’s fine. Occasionally, I need my enforcers reminding me I’ve lost my way, but don’t think you can do it often. Now shoo. I’m sure you two have plans.” Butch left them to deal with Mac.

“Huh. Didn’t think he could be a fair bastard, too,” Abel muttered. They exited the pack house and rode Abel’s car back to town. “Sorry for ruining tonight.”

Tommy laughed. “What are you talking about? Baby, you haven’t ruined anything.”

  “Really?”

“Absolutely. No one could have predicted Mac making his move on you.”

“First, we had to deal with Trent and Daniel and now Mac,” Abel complained.

“The road to any relationship is always fraught with challenges,” Tommy reminded his mate.

“Well, yeah. Whatever fate throws at us, I’m ready,” Abel grumbled.

  Warmth shot through his heart.

“Anyway, you want to eat dinner out or in?” Abel asked.
