Eve Continuum – Book 2: Vladimir

For ten years the abnormals, under Vladimir’s leadership, have known peace and harmony. Now, a new generation of children have been born and are coming into their own special abilities, guided by the love shown from Vladimir, Eric and Emily.

The full evil force of the Eve Continuum is finally revealed to the abnormals, causing them to reach a decision to either fight or hide within the normal world forever.

But, in failing in the care of his people, Vladimir faces his darkest fears of worth and struggles to be the leader his people so desperately need.

A war is coming to the gentle people, a war they don’t deserve, a war they don’t even understand but most of all, it is a war they may never, ever win.

  Acknowledgements

This book was born out of desperation. My life was simply awful in every area: my marriage was over; I was massively overweight; I hated my job; I was depressed; and financially, I was in the biggest hole that, at age 44, looked like I would have to work every day until I dropped and would always be in debt.

I asked the Universe for a way out and after three nights of having a dream of the scene where Emily meets Applejacks, I knew I had a story to tell. Not having written a book before and having been labelled dyslexic at school, I really struggled at first with the way the Universe had answered my need. I was surprised to find that writing this story brought me to a place of joy. Putting pencil to paper became so pleasurable and exciting, the story seemed to pour from me with no effort or thought. Quite simply, I would read the last paragraph then pick up my pencil for the next bit to pour forth.

The second benefit was the wonderful response I got from my family and friends. They were excited to see me focused and committed to a project. The excess weight I had been carrying dropped off effortlessly and I no longer suffered from depression. I found the courage to pursue my dream of moving to the Blue Mountains and found many wonderful new friends.

My beautiful sisters, Jacqui and Rebecca, read every draft and put up with my constant questions: ‘Is it ok?’ ‘Are you sure?’ ‘I mean, are you really sure?’ This must have driven you both crazy, so thank you for the endless reassurance but hey, what are sisters for!

No project is ever completed alone and I have been so fortunate to have found two beautiful Aries women to play with: Debbie Hope, you were able to take my dyslexic rambling from pencil to computer and your enthusiasm of the project was so wonderful and needed. Sonja Van As, your ability as a proof reader and editor made my tale into a story; your talent has made this story into a real book. Thank you both. I really hope we always continue this journey together.

A friend put me onto a very talented cover designer called Stephanie White, I was so blown away with her work, I just knew she would come up with something amazing. The night before she sent me the proof of my cover I dreamt of the moon. I was more astounded that the picture of Applejacks on the cover was one I had found and made as a mock up on my website but didn’t send to Stephanie, talk about a connection! Plus she picked my favourite colour orange! Thank you beautiful, I look forward to seeing what the covers for book two and three will look like.

Then the universe brought me the Mosher Girls from MoshPit Publishing. What can I say you both are the final piece of the puzzle. Ally your endless patience with my questions was truly appreciated. Jenny you have made the whole project fun and very easy. I look forward to the journey my book will take knowing you are both at my side.

Final thanks have to go to my father, Wayne Kavanagh, for the many times you have had to save me over the years. I have been blessed to have a father that has dedicated himself to his misfit children, regardless of the setbacks and failures. I have finally found myself, Dad!

This book is no War and Peace but a simple story of love and acceptance. I sincerely hope that in reading this book you will experience some of the joy I felt in writing it.

Life is good, if you choose it to be.

  Kind thoughts,

  Storm JK
