“You know what to do,” Lissha whispered between pursed lips.

“If that nigga buck out the back I’ma put his insides on the outside,” Treebie spat with flared nostrils and squinted eyes before disappearing.

Lissha and Kiam moved to the door and she gave the secret knock. Seconds later a knock came back. She hit the door twice more then it opened.

Her gut filled with disgust when she looked at the lineup that painted the living room. It was Finch, his number one, and one of her young boys that ran weight from one side of town to the other. Apparently there was some fishy shit brewing because all of them had guilty looks on their faces as if they had gotten caught with their dicks in some underage pussy.

“What’s up, LiLi?” Finch’s speech slurred with nervousness pitted from his belly.

“You tell me?” Lissha positioned herself near the door leading to the kitchen. “Do you know what happened at my spot today?” Her voice was real calm as she studied Finch’s body language.

“I don’t know what the fuck you talking about.” Finch reached forward, grabbed a cigarette and lit it. He then sat back in his chair, crossed his legs and blew smoke in Lissha’s direction.

“Who the fuck is this?” Finch’s boy questioned, pointing at Kiam. “We ain’t talking business in front of a fucking stranger,” he spat.

“Don’t worry about who the fuck I am,” Kiam gritted, pulling both bangers from his waist and resting them at his sides.

“What the fuck is going on, Lissha?” Finch roared. “You got this nigga being all disrespectful in my house.”

Kiam’s head tilted to the side. The nigga fit the description of the one Lissha had said violated, plus he was talking reckless. That was two strikes against him and Kiam didn’t even allow one. Without hesitation, he shot Finch in the stomach.

“What the fuck is wrong with this muthafucka?” Finch clutched his gaping wound, buckling over in pain.

Beebop put his hands in the air and began to plead his case. “LiLi. Hold up, let’s talk this shit out.”

She shook her head no, rejecting his plea. “The only thing I want to talk about is the whereabouts of my shit?” She waved her piece in the air.

“I know where it’s at.” Her little runner panicked. Sweat beaded across his face as tears threatened to fall from his eyes.

“Shut the fuck up.” Finch squawked. He was folded over at the waist, holding his stomach. Blood gushed between his fingers and anguish filled his face.

Just as the young boy started to reveal their hands, the three men began arguing back and forth.

Kiam and Lissha looked back and forth before Kiam got fed up and shot Beebop in the face. He flew back in his seat and his brains hit the wall behind him hard and slippery.

The young boy hit the floor covering his head and begging for his life. “Where is my shit?” Lissha repeated with finality in her tone. She pointed her .380 and aimed it between youngin’s eyes.

“It’s in the closet,” he speedily rushed his words as he pointed across the room.

“Get up and get it. Punk muthafucka.” Kiam growled, gripping both gats so firmly his hands ached from the clench.

The boy returned apprehensively, dropped the bags at Kiam’s feet while raising his hands all in one swift movement. “I don’t want no trouble y’all.” The words trembled off of his quaking lips. But trouble is what he declared when he got involved. Lissha shot him in the back of the head causing him to fly onto the coffee table, shattering glass in every direction.

She picked up the bags as Kiam headed over to a dying Finch who was breathing short and heavy. Leaning in, Kiam placed the gun in Finch’s mouth and forced eye contact. He wanted to make sure he stole his last minutes by filling them with fear and torment.

“Oh god, please. Have mercy. I wasn’t trying to cross her,” he stuttered.

“Prayer ain’t acceptable at times like this. God don’t love niggas like us. Make it up in the next life because you leaving this muthafucka. And the next time around, be loyal nigga.”

Kiam shoved the gun to the roof of Finch’s mouth and let off several shots, spraying the top of Finch’s head, decorating the ceiling.

He stepped back, looked at his work, and smeared the blood from his face onto the back of his hand. His breathing was steady but his adrenalin moved rapidly through his body. It was official he was home, back on the killing field. This first taste of blood was merely a catalyst to the terror his return would cause in the hearts of many, and the conflict it would cause in the heart of one.

  Chapter 3

  Welcome Home

Over the next few hours Lissha drove through the streets, taking Kiam to several of the trap spots to see how shit was moving. Things were gravy at her spots up and down 30th, 55th, and out in EC on Hayden. On Euclid Ave, where it first turned into East Cleveland, on up past Shaw High School she had things on smash. There were other spots in the city under Lissha’s control, but she would show him those another day. She figured that he was tired from his long, eventful, first day home and was ready to kick back and cool his heels.

After placing a few calls, she headed to the Ritz Carlton downtown. She had reserved the Presidential Suite for Kiam and a little treat to go along with it.

Lissha pulled up to the valet. She got out, tipped the young boy a c-note, popped her trunk and grabbed a medium sized Louis Vuitton bag. She closed the trunk, then headed toward the entrance. Kiam slid out of the passenger side with his own bag slung over his broad shoulder. He took in the opulent exterior of the hotel, it was a welcome sight after spending almost a decade in a prison cell.

Looking up the block, he saw the new casino that was due to open its doors next month. Downtown was blossoming. There were lines of newly built skyscrapers that sprouted up from the ground toward the sky, helping Cleveland to live up to its new moniker Tower City. Kiam was going to capitalize on the city’s growth from the underworld’s view.

With an easy stride he caught up to Lissha at the front desk. After getting the keys they walked to the elevators in total silence.

Kiam was worn out, the long drive from Pennsylvania had taken a toll on him. Then, as soon as Cleveland greeted him like a snaggle toothed relative, he had made his first kill of freedom. With the smell of death still in his nostrils, he had toured the city collecting Intel. Now all he wanted to do was take a hot shower, get some rest, and plot his takeover.

When the elevator stopped on the 14th floor, Lissha stepped out, looked down at the key card then walked to the left where the room was located. The moment the doors to the suite opened, Kiam immediately became relaxed. Deep shades of olive green, tan and blue surrounded the expansive living room. The carpet was plush and on key he took off his boots just as he had been raised to do.

He walked over to the floor to ceiling windows and looked out over Lake Erie. The view was breathtaking if one were a romantic, which Kiam wasn’t necessarily. He chuckled because he had dumped his first body in that same muthafuckin’ lake that now represented something tranquil.

Lissha walked to the wall and flipped the light switch. It beamed a little too bright so she dimmed it.

“This is you for the next couple weeks, player,” she stretched out her arms in a behold manner.”

The luxurious 1,065 square foot suite offered a view of the city, partial view of the river and lake, one king bedroom with sitting area, one and one-half bathrooms, Jacuzzi tub, expansive living area, a formal dining area with seating for eight, and a kitchen with full-size refrigerator.

It was a far cry from a prison cell.

Lissha walked to the back of the couch and pulled out several bags. Kiam walked over to her and took a quick look inside, there was an assortment of high end labels.

  “Thanks, ma,” he responded.

Lissha just smiled, then handed him the Louis Vuitton bag.

Kiam unzipped it and to his surprise it was filled with neatly stacked hundred dollar bills.

  “Daddy said
this is just the beginning.” She looked up at Kiam’s expressionless face and slowly ran her hand up his arm.

Kiam took a deep breath as he battled to control himself, there was a full war going on with his conscious and his duty.

“I have something for you,” Lissha mentioned above a whisper.

“What’s that?” he asked, unsure if he really wanted the answer.

“Come with me.” She took his hand and led him to the bedroom.

Kiam was conflicted. His mind was saying, Nigga you better not! But his dick was tapping against his zipper and screaming eight years, nigga.

“Lissha.” He called out her name in an attempt to gain control of the situation but his feet didn’t get the message because them muthafuckas kept on moving. “Ma, hold up,” he protested.

Lissha didn’t respond, she used her free hand to open the door and again Kiam was taken by surprise. In the middle of the floor was a huge Jacuzzi with a sexy brown skin honey wearing nothing but a smile and bubbles.

“Didn’t I already tell you about acting all scary?” Lissha asked while looking over her shoulder, giving him her sexy low-eyed glare.

  Kiam just shook his head.

“Her name is Donella, she is to do whatever you want. For as long as you want it.” She let go of his hand. “I gotta go. A bitch needs a shower and a long ass nap. Stupid niggas are tiring as hell,” she said, referring to the Finch situation, then she hugged Kiam tight.

“Tell Pop, I send my greetings.” He broke their embrace.

“I got you. Now worry about getting that nut off your back. I know if Daddy was in some pussy he would not be thinking about you.” She laughed then headed toward the door.

Kiam took inventory of the bad ass female before him.

“You gonna stand over there all night?” Donella slowly lifted her leg from the water and draped it over the edge of the tub.

He didn’t utter a sound. He used only his eyes to communicate. Pulling his shirt over his head, Kiam moved closer to where she was.

Once he was completely nude, he stepped into the tub leaning his back against her chest. Her soft breast and the hot water relaxed every muscle in his body except one; that soldier was at attention and doing a full salute.

She pulled his head back onto her shoulder as she ran the sponge over his neck and chest. When she got to that rock a smile came over her face. She took all of him firmly into her hand and began to ease his pain. Slowly she stroked and squeezed. “You are such a beautiful man,” she cooed in his ear. “I know your sacrifice.” She squeezed harder as her wrist rotated to his pleasure. “It’s your time. Make this city bow to you,” she encouraged as she ran her tongue inside his ear.

Kiam closed his eyes and enjoyed her handiwork. Just when he was on the edge Donella released him. “Stand up, I want to taste you.” She commanded.

Kiam rose to his feet, towering over her. Water and suds ran over his chest and abs as she took him in her mouth. The tightening of her jaws sent chills up his spine. Slippery wet moans filled the room as she slurped and stroked. Kiam placed his hand on her head for balance and watched the show. In and out her mouth his dick disappeared and flutters formed in his gut as he threatened to release what felt like tons.

Grabbing his ass she took him to the back of her throat causing a low hiss to leave Kiam’s lips. He grabbed a fistful of her hair and prepared to let go. Pulling back a little, Donella sped up her movements until he released long and hard to the back of her throat. She cupped her tongue allowing him to see the thick white evidence of her effect on his soldier. Then she smiled up at him erotically and swallowed every drop.

Licking her lips Donella moaned, “Mmmm. The taste of power.”

Kiam slid down in the tub, put his head back and recuperated.

Donella straddled his lap ready to feel all that thickness.

“Nah, we good.” Kiam shut her down.

Donella leaned back and made eye contact. “You don’t want none of this?” she asked while seductively grinding on him.

“Nah, you put in work. I’m good. Lift up.” He pushed her back so he could get up. Wrapping a towel around his waist he walked into the living room and snatched a few bills from the Louie bag that laid on the couch.

“Did I do something wrong?” Embarrassment dripped from her question just as the water slid down her body and dripped from her flesh before she quickly dressed in the complimentary robe.

“You straight. I need to get some rest.” He handed her the stack.

“No,” she waved it off, “Baby, I’m good.” Things were much bigger than that. Donella grabbed her things and got dressed. “If you need anything just let me know.”

She wrote her number on the note pad, walked over to him, stood on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek. “You official.” She looked down then back up. “The woman that gets all that is going to be a lucky bitch.”

Kiam didn’t reply, he was the type that kept his words at a minimum. Muthafuckas didn’t know what you were thinking until you opened your mouth. He knew nothing about Donella to trust her with his thoughts no matter how trivial they were.

She smiled at him understandingly. “Rest well.”

Kiam walked her to the door, locked it, and then headed for the shower.

A different type of man with less control would have been balls deep in baby girl, but Kiam was of a select breed. He needed to get his shit right first, plus he didn’t know her. Fuck around and my dick fall off. He had got his nut; he was satisfied. Now he needed to get focused.

As the water ran over his head and down his face, Kiam began to plot. First, he wanted to make sure he took care of all the business he had pending. Second, hit the long list of shit Pop needed him to do. He knew he was indebted to Pop, but he also had some unfinished business of his own to settle. He needed to make sure he wasn’t under no one’s thumb and mercy.

Kiam walked out the bathroom with a foolproof plan in the front of his mind. He lotioned his skin before throwing on the hotel robe and lay across the king-sized bed. It had been a very long time since he laid in such comfort. It felt like the bed had grown arms and was hugging him.

He tucked the fat goose down pillow under his head and began to doze off. This city is like a fat pussy and I’ma fuck her hard until she cum. When she pass out, I’ma grab her purse and be out. They will never know what hit ‘em.

Lissha pulled up in front of the hotel and picked up Donella twenty minutes after receiving her text. Quickly, Donella jumped in the car and fastened her seat belt.

“What happened?” Lissha asked as they drove off.

“Only what he wanted to happen. Pussy will not be a problem,” Donella reported.

Lissha didn’t respond. She knew that if Dee said it then that’s what it was, because Donella had the type of sexiness that could tempt God. She thought back to when Big Zo first recruited Donella to the team. He had met her in a strip club up in B-more where she was wasting her beauty and talents popping her ass for a little bit of a nigga’s trap.

“What do you want with that trick bitch, Daddy?” Lissha questioned him.

Big Zo laughed. “I don’t want the pussy, I want the power she possesses with it. When you look at her, you see a stripper. What I see is a bitch that can lure a muthafucka into the gates of hell.

Trust me, she’ll be a valuable asset to us.”

As usual Big Zo had been right. Before the feds came snatching him and his people up, Donella had seduced and led three of Big Zo’s enemies into his hands for execution. Not once had she failed. If Kiam could resist that sweet chocolate candy between Donella’s legs, pussy most definitely wouldn’t be his downfall.

  Lissha phoned Big Zo.

“Hello.” His deep voice rang in her ear.

“It’s confirmed,” she said with satisfaction in her voice.

  “Um. Go to phase two.”

  “Got it. Love you, Daddy.”

  “Love you, too.”

sp; In Search Of Answers

Kiam was awakened by a soft but persistent knock at the door. He sat up, rubbed his eyes, and swung his legs over the side of the bed savoring the plush carpet underfoot. Looking up, he squinted his eyes against a beam of morning sunlight that peeked through a part in the cream-colored blinds over the main window.

He slid the German Luger from under the pillow and walked bare-footed to the door with the strap down at his side.

“Who’s there?” His deep baritone was a little coarse from sleep.

“Room Service,” came the feminine reply from the other side of the door. Which was a shock to him since he hadn’t ordered anything.

The mention of food caused his stomach to growl. He suddenly recalled that he hadn’t eaten since he and Lissha had grabbed a couple of Philly steak sandwiches before leaving PA yesterday.

“Leave it outside the door,” he directed.

He allowed a few seconds to pass, then pressed his ear against the door just in time to hear soft footsteps patter away. Cautious by nature he waited a half minute longer before opening the door. He stuck his head out and peered up and down the hallway. Satisfied that everything was good, Kiam pulled the cart inside and relocked the door.

When he uncovered the trays on the cart, the aroma of a decent breakfast wafted up his nose. Kiam licked his lips and inspected the meal more closely. There were egg omelets, hash browns, turkey sausages, toast, cereal, milk, coffee and orange juice. As he began to move the dishes around the tray he saw a folded small card. He flipped it open and quickly read the accompanying message.

Welcome home, Kiam, Please enjoy your breakfast. I’ll see you in a couple days.

  Lissha xoxo.

Placing the note back on the tray, Kiam cracked a little smile. He pushed the cart over to the dining area, sat at the table as he wasted no time digging in.

An hour later he had fed his belly, showered, and threw on one of the outfits that Lissha had purchased for him. The cream and brown True Religion gear graced his frame like she had gotten it tailored for him. He checked his reflection in the mirror on the wall in the bedroom, pleased with what he saw. His features had matured while he was on lock but his cold black eyes hadn’t changed one bit. They made his youthful face appear unreadable.
