He turned to Addy and pressed a gentle kiss against her cheek, then very carefully and deliberately placed her hand in mine. I threaded my fingers with hers and we both turned to face the minister.
Then it was time for the vows. I took both of Addy's hands in mine, wondered if she could feel the way my fingers trembled against hers as I promised to be there for her always and to love her forever. It was a vow I would hold dear to my heart and a promise I would never break.
Addy was mine now, as much as I was hers.
