“How is this possible?” I ask as I quickly walk towards Carter.
“I don’t know but Capa’s scientist already took a large amount of his blood to test. That’s ahy he’s passed out,” Arraya says
The heavy relief comes off my chest. Arraya’s smile quickly fades.
“When he wakes tell him, I’ll be on another mission,” Arraya says.
“What mission,” I ask.
“The Cyler virus spread throughout the Cyto field and we see them coming towards out domain.”
“It’s already happening isn’t it?”
She nods.
“Be safe,” I say pulling her into a hug. I can’t imagine how much Array has been through this whole week.

I walk outside in the dark and see the night sky. I couldn’t help but plainly stare with great satisfaction at the radiant alluring sphere. The cold familiar night breeze welcomes me back to Capa’s climates, the sensation I have known all my life.
“The stars look a lot brighter tonight. I wish you can see it too mom. I finally got the chance to spend time my brother; I can’t believe I missed out on so much. He’s amazing mom, he can even perform surgery, and he has your eyes and dad’s hair. I miss you mom, I’m sorry this happened to us.”
“Hazer?”
I turn around and surprisingly it’s Kala
“So I’m guessing you’re keeping it a secret for now?”
I nod.
“I’m ready to let our people know I’m a Redeemed. I don’t even know if I deserve it.”
“Whatever you choose I’ll always be by your side Hazer. You saved me.
“How’s Rylan,” I ask.
“Not good,” she says.
“What happen, is he okay?”
“He had worse days. He told me to give you this.”
Kala hands me a small brown book. There’s a letter, sticking out of it. I open it up and realize it’s a note from Rylan.
“What is this?”
“His journal,” Kala says.
Dear. Hazer,
These last couple of days has been immensely unpredictable. You wanted to help me find Kala, even though it meant risking your life and I couldn’t be more grateful. It was a crazy journey; I mean I’m seeing you for the first time in 8 years. I know we had our differences and that there is no way to go back in time and make up the childhood we have lost, so I want you to hold on to my journal I had kept since I arrived here. I heard you became a protector. It’ll only get harder from here. Please keep her safe. She can be arrogant at times whether she believes it or not. Take care brother, until we meet again.
“They’re suspending him,” Kala says.
“Suspending? For how long?” I ask.
“Until the war is over. They see him as a threat, so their keeping him contained,” Kala folds her arm.
This is all of because of me. I wasn’t strong enough to fight the soldiers when Rylan needed me to. It should be me in the containment room not him. I do more harm than good. It’s always him, taking the burden for me. I just wish it would be the other way for once.
Kala looks up at the magnificent sky, “I would always come out here when I was younger. Rylan and I would watch the stars at night.” She turns and looks at me with a weak smile, “So what now, protector?”
I stare into night sky. “We enjoy this moment for now, because there is an army of Cylers coming our way” I say.
I reach into my pocket and take out Carter’s Gleammer he had left for me. I press the button and a blue ball lights shoots out into the sky. It explodes into a million blue stars, surrounding us with its glory light.
