by Lexie James
What better way to ease her out of Nick’s life than to take a few pictures of them together? And then to conveniently forget to relay all the messages Maggie and Gregg had left with her at the office for him.
Getting rid of her had been almost child’s play and now that Sarah was to be gone, never to return, it would be Chloe, who would step in to mop up the pieces of his shattered heart, help him pull himself together again until he finally realised her worth and realised how important she was to his wellbeing. When he recognised her place in his life, how vital she was to the smooth running of his life, why then he would obviously declare his love for her.
Those other women, the insignificant blips in his life that they had held would be obliterated and finally he would be hers.
As he was always meant to have been.
She just had to review the events in Las Vegas, work out what went wrong and ensure that no female ever came within spitting distance of her man ever, ever again.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
First and foremost to my wonderful sister Lindsey, who, having first been chuffed and amazed that her sister had managed to pen a book then proceeded to tell me, in no uncertain terms, just how many grammatical errors I had made, so thanks Sis! She did help me with my editing, so without her expert assistance there would be a lot more mistakes.
To Annie the first person to read this who then sent me a text with the words ‘the magic has begun’. Her face the next day told me I had succeeded in creating an engaging story. Thanks also to Carmel who told me she had to read it twice over one night and was exhausted, she then proceeded to bombard with questions about what would happen to two of the other characters in my next book!
For my daughter Charlotte for putting up with me being a complete idiot with computer jargon and (nearly) patiently guiding me through the process of understanding how to format a document, and then spent ages sorting out my front cover, thank you so much. However just a little reminder I’m still the adult in this relationship!
And to my poor husband, who has had to put up with many a sleepless night while I tossed and turned in my sleep fine tuning sentences and then put up with late meals or takeaways when my writing took precedence over everything else.
But most of all this is for my parents who always encouraged me
to go after any and all my dreams,
no matter how impossible they may seem.
Thankyou one and all.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
This is author Lexie James first complete novel though she readily admits she has been attempting over many years to finish any story from the zillions she has started. This is however the first one that made it from beginning to end, for this she credits her two characters who sprang to life in her dreams and would not leave her alone until their story was told. She has high hopes her new characters are as equally intrusive in her life.
The mother of a one daughter, she is an avid reader who enjoys reading a book multiple times to appreciate the craft of the writers. Over the years she has embraced a variety of careers but has high hopes that writing will finally become her penultimate career.
