one.

I let my mind tune out-word allowing a rift of energy to rapidly burst toward Demetrius’s portal. As soon as my mind hit the portal I intuitively saw what was going on. There sat Demetrius on a stone throne. He was in a state of meditation, communicating with his demon master. I pushed more energy into my senses and peered around further. There was some blood-shed, but for the most part this was configured in a smart manner. There were two big identical demons at each side of the portal and they were surely strong, for I saw a lot of energy seeping out of them. Their eyes glowed bright yellow and they were wearing black robes encircled with patterns of red and green. In their hands they held onto long two handed axes. I could faintly see the detail of their boney fingers wrapped around the axes hilt. Surely these demons were Demetrius’s best fighters. I peered around further and saw that there were demons bringing humans captive into the portal. This I have never seen. Quickly, I drew my energy back and configuring my destination.

I blasted off the guards post towards the town’s center, thrusting my energy forward. I launched from building to building with great speed. To me it doesn’t feel as fast as a human would see it. I use this ability by heightening my physical body’s vibration, as well as making my inner energy vibrate rapidly. I then turn my mind towards each point of landing, allowing my body to ‘flit,’ or almost teleport towards each destination. I landed on a roof that overlooked the middle of the town. Taking a deep breath in, I knew I was about to enter into a great battle. I have to succeed, I have to kill Demetrius. He destroyed everything of mine and I finally found him!

I jumped from the roof towards the ground and landed with a thud. Demons surprisingly looked over to me, as well as Demetrius, who sat comfortably on his stone throne. I walked forward a few paces and everything seemed to stand still in time. Demetrius closed his eyes for a minute, surely communicating with his demonic 'god'. He seemed to smile and nod his head, opening his eyes again towards me. He spat out towards his demons, “Get the rest of the humans inside the portal.. Now!!” I took a few steps forward, grabbing onto the hilt of my sword. Demetrius stood and raised his hand into the sky, calling out words in a demonic language. The ground cracked around him and three demons pulled themselves out of the ground. The three demons weren’t small like before, they were about my size and they stood like ninjas, naked. He pointed towards me, commanding them to attack. They rushed at me quickly. These demons had hallow eyes and long swords with green ooze dripping from it. The green ooze had to be a type of poison. Their bodies were skinny and I could see their rib cages bulging out. One of them lunged upwards and crashed into the ground, going under.. The other two appeared in front of me lashing out vigorously. Swiftly, I dodged multiple attacks. One twirled around with its blade and I jumped upward, kicking it in the face. It crashed into the ground rolling backwards, but found its balance and landed on its feet. It snarled and rushed again towards me. The other tried to stab me in the stomach, so I twisted my blade along with my body, slicing the demons hands. Its blade fell and it staggered back for a moment. I configured my mind towards the ground and felt the ground below me moving upwards. I twirled my body, doing a backflip. Just as I did, the demon underneath the ground launched out, almost slicing me in two. I landed on my feet and felt the other demon coming at me towards my left. These demons are quick.

As I fought I noticed that the warlock was controlling its hands like that of a puppet, moving the demons with its mind. One of the demons sliced its blade behind me and I ducked, dodging its attack. I thus smashed my elbow into it with a blast of energy and it flew backwards. I ran towards the master and the demon with no hands got in my way, trying to bite into me. I smartly rolled onto the ground and popped up unexpectedly, slicing the demon in half. I flit towards the warlock and tried to cut into him. One of his other demons threw its body in the way, getting its head sliced clean off. The last demon was on me suddenly. Our blades matched each other at furious speeds. We crashing into one another with great strength. Our blades pushed against each other and I slightly struggled as the demon forced its blade forward. I twisted mine slickly, jabbing it into the demons stomach. I hacked my blade upwards, ferociously slicing the demon into bits. Demetrius looked stunned to see my power.

Demetrius lunged towards the portal, tapping his guardians who held the huge axes. They came alive and looked at me furiously. Demetrius looked at me seriously and said, “There is no use in fighting me Akira.. You have no idea who you really are, about your existence, and why we did what we did. Come with me, I will explain everything and show you to your master.” I looked at Demetrius and spit in his direction. I then yelled out to him, “I know nothing of what you speak of but I will never come with you. You destroyed my village, my people, my life!! Your death is here and now. You have no idea what I am capable of.” Demetrius frowned and pointed towards me, manipulating his best guardians. They bolted at me swinging their axes high. I dodged them simply and went under one of their bodies. I came from behind it and lunged up, controlling my energy perfectly. I sensed where its strongest energy pulsed and I furiously stabbed the guardians heart multiple times. The demon fell to ground, crying in rage.

Demetrius knelt onto the ground and chanted. He started rising into the air, like that of levitation. The demon and the warlock’s body started fusing together and in a split second there was an entirely different creature in front of me. A huge creature with just a deep black form. It was triple my height, and triple my size. It had bloodshot eyes and I could sense a smile across its ugly face. This must be a trick, some how Demetrious summoned a part of his real demon master by using his own body. It raised its hand and power blasted towards the sky. I looked around as demons popped out from beneath the ground. They all circled around me and there were roughly thirty of them. They charged at once and I started dashing forward, blasting quick, lightning like energy into my body and blade. I came in contact with one demon, slashing its legs clean off. Another appeared on my right and I ducked dodging its claws, thus thrusting my blade clean into its stomach. A different demon lunged upwards and another came towards my left. Twirling the sword in my hand, I managed to connect it into the demons chest, hacking it into two pieces. I rolled onto the ground, dodging another attack in front of me. The demon that lunged up crashed down onto me and bit into my shoulder. I shrieked in agony and grabbed the demon by its neck. I then flung it towards the crowd of demons. As it flew forward, time and motion slowed in my perception. I pointed my finger towards it and sent a blast of pulsing energy toward it. The energy sunk into the demons body and started expanding quickly. As the demon crashed into five others it instantly imploded, which ruptured the others into fragmented pieces. More demons came at me and I knew I had to get out of there quick, or I would surely die. I tried to flit in the opposite direction but more demons stood in front of me and I had no where to go. One smashed into my face and I hit the ground hard, blacking out. I remember lightly opening my eyes to see Demetrius dragging me. Where am I going..? What's going on..? I tried to move any part of my body but couldn't. All the energy I used made my body lifeless. I continued to stare up with a blurred vision. I was dazed, confused, and numb. I focused my eyes a little more and saw that I was being dragged into the portal. What the hell... I suddenly blacked out again.
