A serious look got on Spex’s face.

“I know, I just didn’t want to tell them. They aren’t supposed to find out about me yet. As much as it pains me to know that there is a version of me just sitting around being miserable right now, and knowing that I can’t fix that.”

The creator responded, “Well, you’ve done a good job so far. I did a good job creating you and picking you to take over the duties of being the guardian of the Timeline.”

“Well, Obviously, I’ve failed somewhere to let someone mess it up,” Spex said, crossing his arm and looking down.

The Creator tries to reassure him, “Mistakes are always made. That’s is what being human is all about.”

  Spex sighs, “I guess.”

“You should get going. You have a timeline to save,” The Creator suggested.

Without saying a word, Spex smirked and disappeared into his purple aura. He appeared again in his house and near his terminal. He wanted to take a break but was afraid something bad would happen again if he did. He let out a yawn, stretched, and put away his laser sword back in storage. He then made his way to his refrigerator and pulled out a can containing an energy drink.

He opened the can and took a sip. He made his way to the terminal and sat down on his chair. He took another sip and thought about seeing what Tana saw while she went back in time. He queued up the point in time and played it with Tana’s voice narrating.

After stepping into Master Time’s portal, it felt like I was flying through nothingness. Just then, I ended up in a strange, run down, abandoned the town. It was dark out and was really cold. I realized that there was snow on the ground. I turned around and the portal was still open.

‘This must be my way back,’ I thought to myself.

Just then, I felt the presence of a group of people running in my direction. I ran up behind a nearby crate and looked over the top of it. I saw what appeared to be a younger Ryuu and Regan. Ryuu wore a similar attire to what he wears currently and had the staff that Vlayru now has. Regan was wearing armor and military attire. They stopped at a pile of debris from the building it was next to. it was blocking the entrance to the building and examined it for a moment.

“Damn, he must have gone in that building,” Ryuu pointed out.

“Behind us,” Regan warned, turning around, creating a metal spear.

They were fighting off a lot of zombie-looking people. I remembered what Spex told me, so I crouched down and slowly made way in the opposite direction. Just then, I sensed someone with a great power. I followed it and found a hole in the wall on the other side of the debris. I crawled through it and was I was in a lobby. After examining the room, I saw a sign that says, “Samson Lumber Factory”. I saw a door, but it was caved in. it looked like it was done recently. There was a crawl space that opened from the destroyed wall and I jumped into it. It was a tight fit, but I made it up through it.

I came up on a vent leading into a big room. I opened it and dropped down through it. I landed on a catwalk that was high up. I looked over the edge to see there were two people fighting with swords. There was the person that looked like a zombie. He wielded a giant sword that looked like a rusted butcher knife. He was fighting someone that was wearing the same clothes as me. That must have been Sabre. The same power that I felt from outside was coming from him. I started to feel something coming from my necklace again. Sabre blocked an attack from the zombie guy. The force of the clash pushed him back, smacking against a metal support beam. Sabre looked beat and was panting.

The zombie guy walked over with a smile and readied his sword over his head.

He declared, “This is the end for you!”

  I yelled, “No!”

Without thinking, I put my hand up and blasted the zombie with a giant Water Blast towards him. it was twice as big as it usually is. The zombie guy flew backward and through the wall behind Sabre. Sabre got up and looked in my direction.

  “Who’s there?!” Sabre questioned, panting.

I gasped and ran away quickly. Looking back, I saw the zombie guys breaking through the wall to enter back into the wall. I stopped and looked from afar. Sabre stood up and transformed into his Shadow Form. His Shadow Form gave him a black trench coat, his own shadow sword, and his mask. I turned and got back to the vent to make my way back to where the portal. Before crawling into it, a portal opened near me.

‘Master Time must have made it easy for me,’ I thought.

I walked into it and flew through the purple aura. I ended up on the other side, but I wasn’t back in The Creator’s meeting room.

  Chapter 18 – Darkness Rising

I was in the middle of a war zone. The sky was blanketed with dark skies. There were buildings in the distance and it looked like Central City and it looked like were just outside of the city. I was by a boulder and I felt something dark getting closer from behind me. I turned and saw these big creatures walking towards me. I quickly dashed around the boulder out of sight and glanced up as they walked past, not noticing me. They look demonic with their attire, horns on their head, and red skin. One was carrying a big sword and another had some sort of cannon. I looked in the direction where there they were going and saw in the distance people standing around. I saw another boulder up ahead and snuck my way to that.

I looked closer and started to recognize them. It was Sabre and the rest of the gang. He was wearing a longer side cape that also had a collar covering his face and an upgraded black flex armor. He was hugging someone before they dislocated from each other to reveal my mother. They both looked happy to see each other. Everyone else had different clothes on as well and looked a little older than before.

‘I must still be in the past, but why would Master Time send me here?’ I pondered to myself.

I would be lying if I said I was worried. I looked over and saw the two monsters setup a cannon and pointed it at them. They were all facing away from them and didn’t notice.

I thought to myself, ‘They’ll be killed!”

I stood up and ran towards the monsters stealthy and jumped on the back on one them while creating a water blade. I stabbed my sword into its spine. With one hand, I quickly charged up a giant Water Blast, jumped into the air, ripping out my sword from its back, taking it with me, and blasted the other demon point blank in the face. I landed in a crouch position and turned to see the monsters fall over and die. I looked back at everyone and they were looking right at me. I quickly turned ran in the opposite direction.

“Wait, you there!” I heard Sabre yell.

I kept running and saw the portal and jumped into it. I landed, looked around, and saw I was back in the Creator’s meeting room.

“I know what happens after that, but glad she followed my instruction to not be seen. At least to an extent. Skip,” Spex said.

The hologram skipped to the next day and continued playing.

The next day we got up and packed our belongings up. headed out the door and met up with the adults outside. We looked at them puzzled.

“We are going to stay at the E.T.B. headquarters. We used to work for them. They want to work with us on stopping the Dark Rebellion. When you have the rest of the orbs, you let us know, okay?” my mother stated.

I nodded and replied, “Will do.”

“As for Ryuu and me, we are going to search for our son,” Ayla added.

“Okay. We’ll see you soon,” I said to them.

I gave my mother hug and then we went our separate ways. We continued but didn’t much to each other. We kept to ourselves and our attention to our surrounds. This went on until the next day.

“So, where are we going?” Kaido asked, breaking the silence.

I answered, “To the Aquis Republic. Something tells me a Master Orb is there. Vlayru and I started our adventure there, but we got a lead in the Thunderlands, so didn’t get a chance to look in the nation we started in.”

I looked over at Ansel, who was still looked down.

  “Are you okay,
Ansel?” I asked her.

She snapped her attention to me, “Oh, I’m fine. No worries.”

She gave a smile, but I could tell it was fake. I studied her for a moment and concluded that she was probably thinking of Vlayru. I decided to go along with what she said.

“Okay, then,” I responded to her.

We got about five hours down the road. I stopped and turned to them. They stopped and looked at me.

“Look, I need to talk to you guys about something,” I told them.

  They both looked concerned.

“What is it, Tana?” Kaido asked me.

I thought for a moment, ‘Is this something I really want to tell them?’

“I want to continue on by myself,” I admitted to them.

They both looked confused. Kaido then started to look mad.

“So, you just want to take on an entire rebellion, and what seems like an infinite number of shadow dwellers, all by yourself? You know how crazy that sounds? What are we to you, dead weight?” Kaido questioned angrily.

Ansel started to look sad. I took a deep breath.

I replied, “No, it’s just that I don’t want to hurt you guys. Plus, I…”

Suddenly, Crios appeared from a black portal in the ground behind me with a small squad of Shadow Dwellers. I turned and we got to into battle positions.

“There you are. I was wondering where you had gone off to. Ha-ha, and here thought you ran off somewhere in the Roc Domain.” Crios said to us.

  “Where is Vlayru!” I yelled.

I started to feel my blood boil.

Crios answered, “Well, he’s not with me. I honestly don’t keep track of him. I have my own priorities”

The shadow dwellers jumped at us and began to fight. I took down three of them and ran towards Crios. I slashed my sword at him a few times and he blocked all of the attacks with a black aura that he was creating with the waves of his hands. I quickly used rock powers and hit him in the back with a piece of ground that shot up. It was the same move Ryder used the other day. He flung towards me and I slashed him with fire blade. He was then flung backward, caught on fire, and was impaled by ground spike I created behind him.

  “Well, that hurt.” He smirked.

Part of his body that was impaled phased through the spike. The fire went out and his skin then healed over. His clothes also came back together. It was like nothing ever happened.

Crios chuckled, “I can’t do that all the time, but when It’s the best.”

“Who are you!?” I questioned, angrily.

Crios continued to smirk and walked up to me. I readied myself for an attack. He stopped and leaned in closer to me.

“One day, you’ll know.” Crios softly replied.

He took a step back and launched into the air. I pondered for a moment what he meant and didn’t move a muscle. Crios came hurdle down and something made me move out of the way. I snapped out of it and turned around.

Ansel had her hands up pointing at me. Her hands were covered in a purple aura. I saw a shadow dweller lung towards her from behind her. I quick shot Lightning Blast at it. She turned to see it dissipate and turned back to me with a smile. I gave her a thumbs up and then turned my attention back to Crios. He was now wielding a staff with spikes on each end.

“Since you broke my new toy, I have to go back to my old one,” Crios stated.

I readied my sword and responded, “You talk too much.”

Charging my sword with fire blade, I then lunged at him. He lunged towards me as well, so I created a gust of wind that blew hard towards him. That threw him off and lowered his defense. I slashed at Crios, only for him to still block my attack. I continued to swing my sword at him, while he stayed on the defensive, blocking my attacks with his staff. We landed on the ground but continued to do the same thing. I changed things up by letting go of my sword with one of my hands. With my now free hand, I quickly created a ball of water and hit him in the face point blank with Water Blast. He was knocked back hard and I jumped back in the opposite direction.

He got up, swirled his staff over his head and got back into his battle stance. I transformed into Water Form, dropping my sword into the ground, and I lunged directly at him. He did a 360-degree turn, slit his grip up his staff, and swung at me. That’s what I wanted him to. I hit his staff back with one hand and with the other I aimed my palm in the direction of the opening that I created, I then blasted him back with Water Blast. He flew back, hitting the ground hard. I changed back to normal and grabbed my sword. looked back to see Kaido trying to fight several rebellion members and Ansel was on the ground. She was hurt badly. I felt my rage start to grow. I remembered my training and calmed myself. I then ran over to help. I as I started to run over, I sense a massive black energy coming straight at m from behind. I turned and blocked it with rock shield. It wasn’t strong enough though. The mass of energy broke through the shield and hit me. I flew back and slid across the ground face down and stopped by Ansel and Kaido. I fought to look up at them. Black energy shot at them as well and They both fell to ground badly injured. My rage was building even more, but I hadn’t the energy to get back up and fight it. I looked over to find Crios floating in the air. He didn’t look too happy, as he looked at the rebellion.

He yelled, “What the hell is going here!? This is my fight, not yours! Who even said you guys can interfere!”

One of the members took a step forward and replied, “Our master wants us to be the ones to kill the cast and her friends, not you.”

Crios was silent for a moment.

He then smiled and spoke, “Ha! Tell your master that this is personal and I will be the one to kill them. I’ll then deal with him later.”

Kaido coughed up blood from his mouth.

Trying to stand back up, Kaido groaned to us, “Come on guys, we need to get up.”

Ansel and I slowly got up after him. We all stood back to back next to each other ready for whoever came after us next.

“I think that a little order is in need here,” Crios said,

He snapped his fingers and a black portal opened from the ground. More shadow dwellers came rushing out of the portal. They looked ready to fight us and the rebellion. It got way out of hand. The rebellion started fighting the shadow dwellers and we were in the middle of it fighting both sides. Crios stood back and watched. The adrenaline numbed the pain, which made it easier to fight. I transformed into my Shadow Form.

“How about we end this,” Kaido suggested.

“I like the way you think,” I said back.

  Ansel nodded, “Agreed.”

Kaido transformed into his Fog Form and created a fog around everyone. Ansel and I disappeared into it, as we took everyone out, while they couldn’t see us coming. After a few minutes, I sense there were a few shadow dwellers left. I also sensed Crios was still in the same spot, outside of the fog. I decided to leave the rest to Ansel. I used everything I had, charged up a shadow blade, and lunged out of the fog towards crios. I slashed at Crios who tried to block, but I cut through his staff and sliced his chest open.

As he was falling to the ground, he said, “This is far from over!”

A black portal opened under him and he fell into it. the portal closed immediately after. the remaining shadow dwellers followed suit into other portals that opened. Mabel made the fog dissipate and the Dark Rebellion member that survived got away. Mabel reverted to normal and we all met up in the middle of the battlefield.

“That was great, guys,” Ansel said in a weak tone of voice.

  Kaido Smirked, “Yeah, it was.”

“Yeah. It really was,” I said, thinking about the teamwork we just had.

We decided to rest for a while until we could continue our journey. We took some red pills and tended to our wounds. We saw the sun beginning to set. I looked at a map and saw there was an inn not too far down the road. Surprisingly, we didn’t continue our conversation from earlier. We made it to the Inn as night fell, and we got a room. I fe
lt like something big was going to happen very soon and I need to get ready for it.

Ansel fell right asleep. Kaido was taking too long to use the bathroom, so I left the room to use the public bathroom. After that, I went back to the room. Kaido was sitting by the window and it was open. He saw me and flicked something out the window.

“What was that?” I asked him.

He looked out the window then back to me, “Oh it was just garbage. I’m going to go to bed.”

I was looked at him funny. I felt like he was hiding something. He didn’t really look back at me.

“Okay, Good night then,” I replied.

Kaido turned off the lights and we both laid down in our beds, but I couldn’t sleep at all. I arose from my bed and sat by the window, where the only source of light from the moon was coming into the room from. I started to contemplate everything. Just then, I felt something in the distance. I went other and woke up Ansel and Mabel.

“Hey guys, I feel something coming from outside, follow me,” I told them.

I quickly exited the room and out of the building. I walked towards where I felt an energy. The other two were half awake and were trying to keep up. I got close and I saw a cave. We then entered the cave and progressed deep into it. Something caught my eye in the darkness. There something shiny buried under a pile of rocks.

“Help me move these rocks,” I asked them.

Kaido yawned, stretched, and helped. Ansel helped as well with the smaller rocks. We moved some of the rocks out of the way and revealed that it was a yellow orb that was shining. I picked it up and it got absorbed into me.

“It’s Master Thunder’s orb. I can’t believe we didn’t feel it before. Vlayru and I weren’t too far away from this area at one point.”

“Well that is really lucky,” Ansel yawned.

I saw that they were both fighting to stay somewhat awake.

“let’s head back and get some sleep,” I suggested.

They both nodded and yawned. I started to feel exhausted as well. We exited out of the cave and back to our room and slept. The next day, we left the inn and continued towards Waterfall City, Aquis Republic’s capital city. There was only one master orb left to get and that was Master Nether.
