Their Rebellious Submissive (Office Intrigue Book 3) Page 9

by Nicole Edwards

“So, should I choose to be your submissive and I get the job, I assume you’ll want me to suck your dick when you feel the need? Is that the type of submissive you’re looking for?” I frowned. I’d been down this road with Josh.

Master Parker canted his head to the side, his eyes narrowing. His voice was deeper than before when he said, “I won’t deny that’s a possibility. As our submissive, you would do as we requested without question. However, that’s not all we want from you. We’re looking for something permanent and we’re not part-time Doms only looking for oral pleasure. It’s about trust and obedience as much as it is sex, Addison.” He held up a hand. “Which, I assume, is what you’re seeking in a Dom. It’s also something you’ve never had. Trust comes with time.”

I nodded, although I was still confused. “Could we add it to the contract?”

  “Add what?”

“Me not having to give blow jobs at every turn.”

“Is that what you want? A Dom who will follow your rules? Because if that’s the case, you’re in the wrong place.”

Okay, I’d pissed him off. I hadn’t meant to, but surely, he understood where I was coming from.

“I’m sorry, Master Parker. And no, I’m not looking for a Dom I can control. It defeats the purpose. However, I’m hesitant.” I glanced down at my knees. “I don’t want to be used.”

“Let me make myself clear on one thing,” Master Parker stated firmly.

I raised an eyebrow and met his eyes, waiting.

“We wouldn’t hire you to be our submissive. That’s not a position we would pay you for. Unlike your previous encounters, Ben and I wouldn’t treat you like a whore. Availability isn’t what we’re seeking.”

The only reason I believed him was because I knew they could have any submissive they wanted at the club. If it was only about playtime, then they would seek it there.

This was so awkward. At the same time, I appreciated their candor. They weren’t hiding the fact that they wanted something more. As for me…I wanted them. There was no denying that. Crazy or not, I found a semblance of peace when I was with them, despite the fact my hormones were in an uproar every time they spoke.

“There’s only one caveat,” Mr. Snowden said, his eyes trained on me.

  “What’s that?”

“You have until the interview to make your decision.”

  “Why?”

Mr. Snowden’s dark brow lifted. “Because your choice should not be dependent on whether or not you’re offered the job. Either you want to be our submissive or you don’t.”

Damn it. It wasn’t that easy. I wanted what they were offering, but I had to question my own sanity at this point. I’d been through a lot since last night. Could I even trust my emotions and make a rational decision? I’d known them what? Twelve hours? No, not even that. And I’d slept for a good portion of that time.

“How long do I have to decide?”

“Your interview is scheduled for two o’clock,” Mr. Snowden stated.

Crap. That wasn’t a lot of time.

Master Parker leaned back. “Can you tell me something, Addison?”

  “Sure.”

“Is it just me or is there chemistry between the three of us?”

Admittedly, that was something I admired about Master Parker. He did not beat around the bush.

At the same time, I didn’t know how to answer that question. Well, I did, but I didn’t know if that was something I should be admitting at this point in time.

A solid minute passed while I considered my response.

“Never mind,” he snarled, his hands landing on his knees as he started to push to his feet. “You can go with the first option and we’ll take the second off the table.”

“No, wait.” I sat up straight, terrified he was going to take this opportunity away from me. “Please. It’s not just you.” I glanced between the two of them. “There is some…chemistry here. At least on my part there is.”

Master Parker relaxed a little, easing back on the sofa once more.

Silence wrapped around the three of us, thick and heavy. Thanks to the oppressing hush, I could practically hear the electric spark of sexual energy darting between us. Yeah. There was certainly something there.

Master Parker took a deep breath, let it out, but Mr. Snowden was the one who spoke.

“Addison, regardless of your decision, the opportunity for employment is still available to you. Do not think for a single minute that you have to do anything you don’t want to do. There’s a good chance you’ll be offered the position based on what little we know about you. Should that be what you’re most comfortable with, then we urge you to take it. However, down the line, should the three of us decide not to seek a D/s contract, that doesn’t mean we won’t reassign you to another position. Like Mr. Parker said, we’re looking for something unconventional, which, as you can imagine, could cause issues in the office. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. We have plenty of employees who work for us who we don’t interact with in that regard. You can still have a job and not be…ours.”

God, just the sound of that word made my heart flutter wildly. They were offering me a chance to experience something I’d craved for most of my adult life.

I would be crazy to turn it down.

“Do you need time to think about it?” Master Parker asked.

It would probably be wise to say yes, but I knew I didn’t need time. I knew exactly what I wanted.

Repositioning myself so that the lines of my body were more appealing despite the unflattering T-shirt, I met each of their gazes. “No, Master Parker and Mr. Snowden. I don’t need time to think about it.”

“And what is your decision?” Mr. Snowden asked.

“I would like to be your submissive, whatever that entails.”

The three of us released a collective breath, and some of the tension in the air dissipated. It was as though they’d been hoping for that answer, which made me feel significantly better about my decision.

“I’m very happy to hear that,” Master Parker said. “And if you have any questions regarding how things will work in the office, feel free to ask Luci anything. She’ll be as open with you as she can be. When we originally hired her, she didn’t know any of this up-front. She came into it over time.”

“Was she your submissive?” I asked, my eyes darting back and forth between the two of them. He had mentioned they’d played with her and I wanted to know what that entailed.

“For a brief time, we did have…interactions with Luci,” Master Parker admitted. “But, no. She was never our submissive. It never got that serious, but we did have an arrangement in the beginning. She’s now engaged to our partners and Ben and I no longer play with her.”

  “For how long?”

Master Parker frowned, obviously not understanding my question.

“How long has it been since you were with her?”

  “About five months.”

Oh. So, quite a while then.

I wasn’t sure why I wanted to know that. Other than the fact that I did not want to work with a woman who was recently in a relationship with these two. Call me possessive or whatever, but I didn’t like the idea of another woman touching them.

Which was the weirdest thing I could possibly think. I had just met them last night. I had no claims on them, nor them on me. Not until there was a contract in place, anyway.

“Thank you for answering, Master Parker.”

“I’ll request that you call me Mr. Parker going forward.”

I nodded, a smile tugging at my lips. Mr. Parker and Mr. Snowden. I liked it.

Mr. Parker shifted as he prepared to get up. “After I shower, I’m going to head into the office for a bit to take care of a few things. You’ll go shopping with Ben. Buy whatever you think you’ll need for a couple of weeks. Whether you take the job or not, that’s something I want to provide you with.”

  I instantly shook my head.

  “I’m not asking,” Mr.
Parker said in that distinct Dom voice of his. “In case you haven’t noticed, you are not the one in charge. Take what we’re offering without argument, Addison. A smart woman knows when it’s necessary.”

With that, he got to his feet and headed into his bedroom. I stared after him, dumbfounded.

“I’m going to move your clothes to the dryer in a few minutes,” Mr. Snowden stated as he rose from the sofa. “So, you’ve got about half an hour before we can go.”

I had no idea what to say, so I actually managed to keep my mouth shut.

Last thing I needed to do was piss them off when they were offering me so much. After all, Mr. Parker was right. A smart woman did know when it was necessary.

  JUSTIN

“SO, YOU’VE CONVINCED OUR PET to come into work on a Sunday,” Langston drawled when he waltzed into my office a short time later.

I leaned back in my chair, ignoring the email I was working on and giving my attention to my business partner. “If it hadn’t been extremely important, I wouldn’t have asked.”

Langston grinned, something I was getting used to. Before Luci came into the man’s life, he hadn’t been much on smiling. Now, it seemed he didn’t do much else.

“So, you found someone who might be a good fit?” He took a seat in one of the chairs across from my desk. The guy looked well-rested and far less stressed than he had in the past.

Taking a deep breath, I decided to give him the lowdown on what had happened last night at the club. When I was finished telling the story, his eyes were wide and there was a tic in his jaw.

“I assume Edge is takin’ care of the problem?”

“He did. Booted the asshole out.”

  “And the girl?”

“She works in the submissive training program.”

Langston ran his hand through his hair and glared at me. “I hate fucking assholes who beat on women.”

“You and me both,” I agreed.

“Do you know who this guy is?”

“Other than his name, no.” I knew a little more than that, but I wasn’t going to share the details yet.

“I take it you’ll be doin’ some diggin’?”

He knew me well. “That’s the plan.”

Seemingly content with my response, Langston relaxed once more and a smirk lifted his upper lip. “Well. That’s certainly an interesting way to find a qualified candidate.”

I shook my head. “I have no idea if she’s qualified or not, which is why I wanted Luci and Jordan to interview her. She was doing something similar before, so I think it wouldn’t be too farfetched.”

“So why not just offer her the job? Seems like a lot of effort to go through.”

I sighed. “Because I want her to go through the process. We’re not giving handouts here. If she’s qualified, then great. If she’s not…”

I didn’t know what I would do if Luci and Jordan felt Addison wouldn’t be right for the role, but I had no choice but to wait and see how things played out. Sure, I could’ve easily hired her without discussing with them, but I knew Addison would’ve taken it the wrong way. Her pride would insist that she apply and not merely be handed something, despite her survival instinct.

“Are you needing Luci to get any other information?” he asked. “As you know, she’s been seeking someone who’d be a good fit for you and Ben.” His grin widened. “Not merely in a work sense.”

Yes, I was well aware of that fact. It didn’t seem to matter that I’d never told Luci that was a requirement. Admittedly, Ben and I had been looking for someone we could interact with on a different level, but it wasn’t the only deciding factor.

“I’d prefer to get their unbiased opinions and only in regard to the job qualifications,” I told him. “Unlike the others, though, I’ll want them to follow up with me immediately after if they have a problem. Otherwise, they can merely hand her off to me.”

I had yet to meet any of the candidates they’d interviewed this time around. Luci had graciously informed me that none of them had been a good fit for the company. I knew that was likely true for a few. But when it came to Addison, I would make that determination.

Langston nodded. “I’ll let her know.” He studied me for a second. “Does this…? What’s her name?”

  “Addison Hayes,” I supplied.

“Does Addison understand what it is you’re really looking for from her? I assume since you met her at the club, you were a little more forthcoming than we were with Luci.”

I couldn’t help but smile. When Luci had walked into this office last October, she’d been sweet, innocent, and completely untainted by our lifestyle. You damn sure wouldn’t know that by looking at her now.

“She does. And she’s agreed to become our submissive.”

Langston’s eyes widened and I thought for a minute his tongue was going to fall out of his mouth. “Submissive?”

I gave a curt nod. “We’re working out a contract with her.”

“Contract? You’ve never been much of a contract man.”

  “She insisted.”

  “So…is this serious?”

“Not yet it’s not. However, the three of us are interested in seeing where it goes.”

“But you met her last night?”

“We did.” I lifted an eyebrow. “It’s not unusual for an experienced Dom to take on an experienced submissive.”

“No, it’s not. I’m not arguing that point.” His head cocked to the side. “However, it is unusual for you and Ben to take on a submissive.”

That much was true. We often played with submissives at the club, but never anything serious and never outside the club. I put the interactions we’d had with Luci in a different category altogether. Definitely not a D/s situation in the traditional sense. So, this was new for us.

“I take it you and Ben are interested in her?”

“We wouldn’t have suggested it otherwise.” Despite the fact we’d only known her since last night, there was a connection between the three of us that was rare. Perhaps it was my need to protect her or pure and simple lust that fueled my interest. Whatever it was, I was curious to see where it might lead.

“Well, it’ll be interesting, to say the least.”

  That it would.

“You remember the first girl we hired…?” Langston smirked. “What was it? Five years ago?”

I groaned. “I remember her. Failed on all counts.” Miserably.

Landon, Langston, and I had met through the BDSM scene roughly twelve years ago. When we realized we were all three in the same business—advertising and public relations—though working for other people, we’d hit it off. Didn’t take long for our dominating personalities to come up with the idea of opening a firm together. Although outrageously successful, I’d been incredibly dissatisfied with the direction my career had taken, so I hadn’t needed much persuasion. The seed had been planted at that point, but it wasn’t until I met Ben a couple of years later that we decided to give it a go.

I didn’t regret a single minute of it.

“Damn, but we were hopeful,” he noted nostalgically.

We had been. And that woman had taught us a very valuable lesson. We’d made the mistake of thinking that because she was in the scene, she understood what our needs were. Not one of us actually had any sexual interaction with her, but the conversations had started moving in that direction. Soon after, she’d hinted at sexual harassment, so we’d instantly shut it down.

The thing was, we weren’t interested in coercing a woman into sex. Our goal was something consensual between all parties, something that could morph into more. It had nothing to do with the job at hand. It was possible that Addison could be the best secretary in the world and we’d be perfectly content with only that, which was why I’d given her the choice. And it could still work out that way in the long run. Only time would tell.

I kept my eyes locked with Langston’s. I could tell he was biting his tongue and I knew exactly the reason
. “Don’t worry. We’re not going to set ourselves up. Or her, for that matter. And we’ll be thorough with the contract. If at any time she exhibits concerns within the workplace, we’ll sever the contract and continue business as usual.”

Langston nodded. “It all sounds good on paper, my friend. But you know it could still go south.”

Yes, I was well aware of that.

“Do you know anything about her?” he asked.

“Very little. The girl has absolutely nothing. No family, no friends. And yes, that douchebag she was with… He punished her by making her sleep on the porch.”

I thought for a second Langston was going to launch up out of his chair. “He fucking what?”

  “Yeah. Total dick.”

“Sounds like it. You really gonna follow up with him? Because if not, I know some people who’d be more than happy to take him down a notch.”

I appreciated his concern, but I knew people, too. “The stunt he pulled last night was not something I care to ever have repeated. Just because he was ejected from the club doesn’t mean he won’t pull that shit with some other woman. I intend to see to it he understands what’ll happen to him if he does.”

Langston nodded, his lips curving up into a smirk. “I like this side of you. The protective side. So much better than the asshole side.”

“Fuck you,” I said without heat.

For months, Langston and I had been at odds with one another. All of it had to do with how he’d been handling things with Luci. No, it hadn’t been my place to intervene, but it had been difficult to sit by and watch; therefore, my mouth had superseded my brain from time to time. Ever since they finally staked their claim on Luci, things had gone back to normal. I held no grudges against him.

Langston leaned forward, preparing to get up. “Just be careful. I know I don’t need to tell you that, but you know very little about this girl. If nothing else, see if Edge will let you look at her club file. Maybe see if you can get some background on her.”

“Trust me, we’ll take our time with her. Both as our submissive and as our employee. If she’s qualified.” That was only partially true. I wouldn’t make any advances if she showed any signs of hesitation. However, something told me that Addison was looking for exactly what we were offering.
